Orcs Nest: what do users think?

allan claydon: Super cool shop! Fantastic use of space to fit in an incredible large range of hobbies and games in one place Covered the major games like MTG and DND but lots of other board and card games Great location means very friendly for nerdy shoppers like myself with fantastic food options nearby

Rachal Shore: One of my favourite board game shops. It has so much variety packed into a small shop. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Eleanor Cripps: Always have a great time in this shop, brilliant selection of games etc with friendly + helpful staff

Daniel Cairns: A great selection not games, D&D books, pathfinder and other tabletop RPGs.There are also D&D miniatures available and paints too.Staff are lovely, down to earth and friendly.

Sam Chittick: Quite a large selection for such a small space. Staff were very friendly. Decent amount of 1/56 historical figures and rulebooks for Bolt Action, Black Powder, etc.

Nathan Jensen: We wandered into this game shop as we were walking around London. Great ambiance and a good selection of board games and RPGs. They packed a lot of fun in a small space. The DnD expert in our family was satisfied with their offerings.

Katie Maguire: A real gem for fans of board games. Living locally means it’s such a wonderful way to spend a lunch break. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to help you make the best purchase for you. There is also an incredible selection of games.
Response: Hi Katie, thank you for leaving such a nice review, we love how people enjoy spending time in the shop.

Fox Fox: Amazing. Had been let down by another big online company for a game I wanted for Christmas. Rang around a number of shops for it and found it as leisure games! Thought I lost hope for delivery for Christmas but nope! Made the phone call on the 21st and arrived today. Very happy. Will definitely shop small business in future. Thank you so much 😊
Response: Thank you for taking the time to review us, I am glad your game arrived in time.

Kunal Ramchandani: Super friendly staff both on the phone and in store. Lovely selection of board games! Will be visiting more often for sure!
Response: Thanks for rating us 5 stars

Karol Pryba: Amazing people and great atmosphere! This shop and its little family-like community helped me get back into Magic: The Gathering. Regular casual games and Friday Night Magic are a good opportunity to start Magic or to practice your skills. Also the amount of great board games available straight off the shelf will soon get me onto board games. Definitely recommend popping down as anyone will find there what they are looking for!
Response: Thanks for your review Karol, I am glad you enjoy spending time here.

Ian: Cheapskate packaging - games should be posted IN a box with filling material around them to withstand the Royal Mail, not just wrapped in thin cardboard. A shame as everything else was fine.
Response: Hello Ian, Thank you for leaving a review. If your game arrived damaged please do not hesitate to contact us by phone (020 8346 2327) or email (shop@...) and we will see what we can do to remedy the situation. Our packaging is usually very good and it is rare that things get damaged in transit, but we care very much about all aspects of the quality of our service, so we are more than happy to try to put things right.

Mathias Andersson: We came here looking for some RPG and Boardgames. As we arrived the staff was in the back room, but came out to greet us and offer their services in a very kind and welcoming manner. Then they let us browse as we pleased without hoovering around us, which felt really nice. As soon as we had any questions, one of the staff would put on a face mask and approach us and be s helpful as possible and when we asked about the new edition of the RPG we were looking for, the staffmember showed genuine interest and willingnes to explain everyting. This shop is well worth the travel out from City of London to Finchley and we are very happy that we found it some years ago. Even though it lies in Zone 4 of the tube map, I would say that the extra money it costs to go outside the normal zone 1-2 or 1-3 that most tourists like to use is more than worth it to get first class service from a knowledgable and friendly staff.
Response: Thank you for your review Mathias, it is very much appreciated.

matthew/max horton: Brilliant, answered my phone inquiry quickly, had what I needed, put it aside, had it in my grubby paws 3 hours later. Beat that Amazon!
Response: Thanks for reviewing us.

Tanuki Gaming | Board Games: what do users think?

Andrea Briganti: A real gem, just outside deptford station, the shop staff are fantastic, passionate, always ready to advise and give a little help if needed. The idea is ingenious, all the board games you have heard and craved over the years collected in one place, sorted and selected. Great food and beers to support even the longest games. The shop part is also very well stocked. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, the venue and toilets clean. Perfect for evenings with friends or always discovering new games to buy.

Jonathan Child: We had a great time at Tanuki Gaming! The staff were very friendly, provide great game recommendations and helped us getting started with any new games. They have a wide selection of games, great atmosphere and drinks & foods which can be ordered straight to the table. Plus they are dog friendly! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly place to hang out and play some board games. We will definitely be back!

Aditya Tandon: This is a great place for table top gamers who love a great time gaming. The session is 5 pounds a person for 3 hours. The food is really good. Has a great variety and healthy options too. Coffee was okay, a bit too milky.Food: 5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Tom Holder: Lovely board game cafe and shop. £5pp for 3 hours. Nice food at reasonable prices. Great board game selection. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.

Joshua Reynolds: Great selection of board games, friendly staff, great price (£5 per person for up to 3 hours) and food / drink provided by the establishment next door which looked good (we only got a drink) Would recommend! Maybe book ahead, we went on a Saturday at 1pm and managed to get a table but it was super busy by 2pm

Andrew Betts: Fabulous. The range of games is incredible and the food from next door is superb. Such a knowledgeable and friendly guy in charge too. Be good if they could deaden the sound a bit

Natalie Ruth Dekker: Obsessed with this place!!!! I’m from the US and am very sad there isn’t anything like this back home. Such a safe and welcoming environment with great food and drink next door :) I’ve been here 3 times and my experience has always been exemplary! the staff are nice and are always so happy to help out when you need paper and pens or game recommendations! My only complaint is that they aren’t open even later into the night! 3 hours of playing from their massive collection of games??? All for £5?!? Amazing!

Get Your Game On Ltd: what do users think?

John Vlahos: It was amazing to see a table full of board games at a market, and to get great advice on what was available for the very youngest member of the family. That was a few months ago; I’ve just ticked off several items on the Christmas shopping list and it was all delivered right to our door. It’s pretty exciting to have such a great local gaming resource!
Response: Thanks so much John for your lovely review of Get Your Game On Ltd 😊. It is such a pleasure to meet friendly and enthusiastic customers with a real interest in finding great board games. I am delighted that Get Your Game On Ltd was able to advise you and find you some lovely board games. Happy gaming and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family. Best regards, Sarah Atherton

Nick Siepmann: Bought a copy of The Lost Words card game from their stall at Myddleton Road Market. GYGO is a lovely friendly company with a great stock of games, and the beautiful art and simple but satisfying gameplay of The Lost Words makes it a perfect game for a relaxing train journey with a friend.
Response: Thank you Nick! Pleased that you found us to be friendly and helpful. Really glad you enjoyed The Lost Words. Hope to see you at Myddleton Road Market again soon.

Louisa Constanti: I love Get Your Game On. Really good service and personal recommendations. My son loves the game we chose. Thanks!
Response: Thanks Louisa. Appreciate your kind words and so glad you are enjoying the game. The best part of this job is finding the right game for each person. 😊😊😊

Rebecca Eastick: Great selection of unusual games and super speedy delivery!

Dark Sphere Shepherd's Bush Megastore: what do users think?

Gregor Straehle: Need any shape or form of miniature for below retail? Darksphere has got you covered. Similar to Forbidden planet, this place has everything you need for your hobby. It’s a must see spot for any miniature painters, collectors, board game addicts and mini war gamers.

Ben Brown: An amazing card shop with a good selection of stock, incredibly friendly staff / patrons, and a great atmosphere. They sell drinks and snacks to keep you topped up while table gaming (incredibly fair prices too, around 70p a can at the time of posting this). Table fee is very fair at £2 per person. Constantly hosting events, so always something to do. Felt very welcomed as a newcomer to the card game scene.

Wormaru Z: Wonderful place! Got Pokémon tcg, Magic… couldn’t be better!

Andreas Killi: Bought online a couple of times, and have now attended three Star Wars Legion tournaments. Great location, HUGE gaming space, good spread of terrain, and very friendly and accommodating staff.

Davide Gioda: The best place for geeks in London, amazing!

Brendan Smith: Extremely friendly staff. Utterly phenomenal range of games, accessories and expansions. Plenty of players of all variety of games and skill levels. The kind of place that makes you want to go again.

Chess & Bridge: what do users think?

Allen Tsui: Thank you to the fantastic team in store who gave really helpful buying advice without the feel of a hard or pressured sales pitch. Would have spent more if I had been able to afford it. Will certainly be visiting the store again soon.
Response: Pleasure to serve you and we look forward to welcoming you again :)

Bolaji Ayodeji: Chess & Bridge is a really great store with tons of chess sets, books, and accessories. I had a great time exploring their stock items and playing chess outside with their public chess set with random strangers :). You should check them out!
Response: thank you for visiting and providing a positive review, much appreciated and please come again.

Fabien Decodts: Unique shop of its kind. Beautiful chess sets. I happened to ask for advice on my middle game on the way out, almost as a throwaway comment, but the young man who served me took the time to show me a few tips that actually improved my game. Highly recommend a visit.
Response: thank you for the nice review, we look forward to serving you again

Stephen Eddleston: Recently ordered and now received a luxury chess set and bespoke board. The service and quality of these items are second to none. Extremely well packed with buffers for the edge of the board both inside the box and out protecting the edges from damage during transit. The playing pieces are sublime, boxed individually ( white / black ) and each pawn/piece are individually wrapped. Two extra queens were an added bonus with the set. The King coming with his crowning glory in a separate bag attached again for damage limitation ( nice touch ) I will be ordering again soon and would throughly recommend to anyone. A visit to the shop would just top it off in the near future. Many thanks
Response: Thank you for the order, glad you got it safely and are satisfied. We appreciate the positive review

Shubham Tiwari: Perfect place if you want to buy chess board, pieces, chess book or chess computers..they also have few collectiblles boards. If you love chess and you are in London then you must visit there.
Response: thank you for visiting and leaving a positive review - we hope to welcome you again

Xy Pan: Great selection of chess books and chess boards.
Response: thank you for visiting and the positive review

Stephen Senez: Really extensive book collection. Nice chess sets. Some people were playing games on the chairs outside

Meghan Corcoran Lewis: Super helpful and kind team working here. Wanted to get some special Pokemon cards for my nephew for his birthday, and the resident experts helped me pick out some really special ones while staying in my budget. My nephew was thrilled!! Thank you!
Response: Tysm much for the great review

Roman: Went there a few months ago with some friends to buy some yugioh cards will say this for the least I bought two structure packs and they bought plenty of individual cards and a few packs to unbox and we were not disappointed. Staff are friendly and very helpful especially since its been awhile since I played and needed some guidance so that was great. Highly recommend for new and old players as they accommodate both.
Response: Thank you so much for the amazing review :)

Ryan Fagan: Great small shop with lots of sealed product and singles. Prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend a pop in!

Wormaru Z: Absolutely amazing experience, staff was professional & friendly. Very competitive price for packs and for me, a smooth start in TCG.

Lucy Ai: Fantastic shop and even better staff! They helped my very nervous and shy nephew feel comfortable and helped him find cards that he absolutely loves. Great selection of products and competitive prices.
Response: Tysm for the great review

Jay Beck: Visited here yesterday with my son. The store was absolutely brilliant. They have a wide selection of rare and special Pokémon cards at really good prices. As well as other collectors items ranging from magic the gathering to various animes. My son Adam brought a Bennett graded 9.5 rayquaza and he is over the moon. Saying and I quote "that was the best shop I have ever been too." While starring at his card the entire trip home. The staff also gave us a free card cover for a valuable card that my son had got a couple of months back from a random pack. So thank you too the owners and staff for great service and look forwards to making the trip back up to visit again.
Response: Ty so much for the visit hopefully see you soon

Bethany F: We travel quite far to visit here and have visited many shops far and wide looking for Pokémon products, nendoroids, anime figures etc; and this is our go to. After visiting for our first time, we have since been back several times with our children and will continue to visit for the best experience! I couldn’t recommend a better shop. Great stock, amazing staff! There’s always something for everyone. The staff are super friendly, I couldn’t recommend a better shop! ☺️
Response: Ty so much nice to see someone love our little figures

Clapp: EXTREMELY good prices for Pokémon cards and super rare hard to find tins and boxes that are usually sold out everywhere. Clean store with super cool and helpful staff members! Had a great experience at this store.

Warhammer: what do users think?

Mohammad Reza Salamati: Totally unexpected great experience. Was walking by and seen some interesting troll and knight looking toys. I walked inside and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff. Next thing I know I was painting little figures and learning about playing Warhammer. A fantastic hour spent doing something new and learning from someone passionate about all things Warhammer. Great experience and highly recommended. Thanks.

Ben Kratz: Amazing Games Workshop / Warhammer official shop ! Staff is really great as well !

Kylesku Dane Ellis: Great staff and service. Very willing to spend some time and find products but also talk to you and make sure you have everything you need.

Alex case: Very enthusiastic staff. The lady who spoke to us was very nice and new lots of what she was talking about.

Sean W: An excellent store with a huge range and super friendly staff but clearly forced by corporate to ask a million questions of everyone who enters. I don’t blame the staff who are all lovely and very helpful, and the shop has a huge range, but whoever demands of them to chase every customer around the store needs to let them do their jobs and not insist they pester every customer the whole visit. Otherwise, hard recommend you pop in!

Colin Liew: Went there to get starter kits for my son and nephew. Helped by Pablo. He showed me how to play a round with the new rules and gave me additional information on free shipping from the store at Tottenham. Good range of 40K and Sigmar.

K Mistry: This place brings me and my family so much joy! It’s one place where we spend the whole day and come out feeling great! Mainly to try out new games before spending so much monies on board games. Vast selection of games for all age range. Pay the entry fees (usually for a few hours but they would let you stay if they are not very busy), good to book it in advance it can get quite busy over weekends. You can also buy your food/drinks.

S C: More life in here than the rest of Croydon High Street on a Saturday night. But it’s easy to see why this place is so popular. This spacious, inviting space run by friendly staff is stacked with an absolutely huge selection of games (for all ages and interests). Our party of four decided to learn and play The Grimm Forest. Once you get over the moderate learning curve, the game was fast-paced and enjoyable. Great beer and drink selection too. An absolute winner of a cafe!

TW19: Brilliant! Loads of games, new releases & old nostalgic classics. Cocktails are really good and the food. Vegan jackfruit Nachos and the vegan pizza was 10/10. The service from the manager and his team made you feel so welcome and they get involved, Seeing how you’re getting on and helping you choose games and explaining how they work. Honestly I can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

Carolina Dale-Rivas: Ludoquist is such a friendly and welcoming place to be. The staff are all lovely and the range of games is huge. Beers and snack aplenty though for a proper meal go somewhere else. A brilliant place to spend an afternoon or evening.

Lysanne Reijmers: Great place to sit down and play some board games with friends while having a beer. I highly recommend the Garlic bread with cheese as a snack!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Blake Rockwell: Awesome place! Definitely a must do for Croydon if you are into board games. Very reasonably priced, including a the food and drink. You can play games as long as you’d like for £6 (half price off peak). Tons of game selection, all the classics as well as new modern games. Over 1000 to choose from.

Bad Moon Cafe: what do users think?

Kilburn Deluxe: I have been here multiple times. I really enjoy the cheap and good quality drinks on offer. I always come with friends for board games, the game tables are big enough and they have an okay range of board games to play. However, during my last visit, the weather became quite hot (23 degrees) and the cafe only opened half a door with no ventilation or fan at all. We were sweating and suffocating inside…. I won’t come here again during summer.

Arjun Pachory: Incredible place to play a huge array of games - while I am not a Warhammer player, the sets are incredible to see! Also, great selection of pizzas and good service, making for a phenomenal event. Highly recommended for a different sort of group activity.

Kevin Rodriguez Ladino: Grest vibe, lovely staff, lots of games, great beer choice. Pizza is quite overpriced for the size but it tasted damn good! So I’m torn ;) Can’t wait to come back.

James Queay: Came here two consecutive nights with friends and had a great time both nights. The place has a friendly atmosphere, a good selection of games, but honestly the staff really make it. The place has a great team, with a particular shout out to the gentleman with the beard who helped me out both times. And to the lovely member of staff who helped with some Magic the Gathering stuff, I hope to play your phyrexian commander deck sometime, you were awesome. All in all, a really great experience, I’ll be back! (It was even good enough I bought the staff a round of drinks)

Christos Nikolis: Bad Moon Cafe simply rocks 🤘first of all, they’re super friendly, and then, they do Commander/sealed Magic the Gathering nights, AND Warhammer 40K, AND board games, AND they have beer on tap. What else can human being ask from their life?!

Kayley Stanbridge: Really nice game board cafe 👍 would recommend. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are also Warhammer tables for those who are into that.
