Summer Hassani: and one called me the light of the world

mark s: Great shop, all you need for D&D

Arun Millar: Good selection of army painter kits. Not normally sold in stores in the UK. Nice staff. Store can get very stuffy in summer though.I got a hobby knife and staff took the extra time to ensure I got all the little extra bits I didn't even know I was entitled to. A small gesture but once I really appeciated.A good range of resin models suitable fpr tabletop gaming.

Jonathan Robson: For such a small place they cram a lot of boardgames and rpg stuff in

Guillemo Sanchez: Sitio para conseguir juegos para iniciar y algunos más avanzados. Es pequeño el sitio. Compramos sushi go la edición especial y story cubes.

Rohan Davidson: Good, helpful service here. I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan so went here to get some Magic the Gathering cards when they released the LoTR collection. Was fast and simple. Huge selection of board games and card games, will go back soon when I have time to browse. My pic is not from the store, just the cards we bought there.

Oltean Andreea: Great variety of games!!

ZomnY: Lots of table top role playing games and gear. Little to no low-cost games. Would have loved if the sales personnel was more into consultation..

Asiya N: The best place to discover unique board games.

Zwain Games: Situated in the heart of the city, Orc Nest is not only the oldest board game store in Central London but also the only serious games shop around. As soon as I stepped inside, I was transported into a world filled with endless gaming possibilities!

Corinne Hovatter: Let.....me...tell.... you,I randomly found this shop before going on my trip to London. I had been looking forward to visiting it so much and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It's small but jam-packed with flavor! So many great games! And the people who work there, made the experience just as good! They were so nice and welcoming! Please forget any tourist traps and go to this shop!In the pics I gave some examples of games they have cause I really want them 😂

Arthur Shufflebotham: Great selection of card games, board games and rpgs. Staff were very helpful in helping me get started with magic the gathering, explaining the difference between products etc. Great store!

raul luque: Incredible catalog of games! We couldn't resist

Ganondorf Salad: Accidentally discovered this shop while pottering purposelessly around the damp streets of London. They have packed so many cool things into their space. Books, games, dice, cards and similar. They've done well as they've not only got the core rulebooks of some ttrpgs, but they've got some unusual expansions too.If you're not careful you could leave here having bought some really great things.

Barbus Bogdan: A really nice place. The prices are RRP but fair.It has tons of board games, even tho it misses some. Recommended

Darren Martin: Visited whilst on trip in London. Great place for all things board game related and some card game related stuff 😁 recommend if in the area

Alex Gilding: Super cool model and board/tabletop gaming shop that has been going since 1987!A little small to browse but good selection of D&D miniatures and a very dense collection that's good for discovering something new

Joel Organ: Awesome place to visit in the heart of London

Terry D: Fantastic to see a games shop that is a) still open and b) manages to balance the stock without dropping space for RPGs (looking at you Orc's Nest and Forbidden Planet...).On the subject of RPGs, they have a good selection of the big names, but also have a wide range of indie games too! These store feels like the only place to get some US small run games without paying extortionate posting fees. The staff are great - friendly and knowledgeable, while also giving customers room to browse.Oh, and they do a lot of free PDFs with a purchase of their print books. Chess & Bridge: what do users think?
Jakub Janiszewski: Perfect shop for both chess fans and card games fans. You can see the huge offer of different products such as chips for poker or amazing quality chess voards and pieces. There is also a great offer about chess clocks, and the stuff is not only helpful but also so kind. If you ever need help or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them.
Michael Martin: Brilliant store with everything chess and bridge related. Broad range of books on chess (I'm not a bridge player so didn't look at the bridge selection)and chess goods. Shop assistant was very personable and helpful in selecting a book on chess openings - and more books for the future.Considering the shop is on Baker Street, prices were very competitive with online although I'd always recommend visiting independent retailers like this one.Other board and card games are available, too.
Jim S: An incredible experience at this store. We had travelled down from the Midlands and both my sons were in awe of what the shop had to offer. My elder son wanted to play a game outside and Martin(elder gentleman) I think, helped him setup a table outside. My son played his first non online game in public, what an experience! The chaps in the shop were super helpful, I picked up a board and pieces. Service from all present was perfect.Highly highly recommend.
Silent_Simulator: Great chess sets and friendly staff.
hubert breidenbach: A unique resource, which has provided consistently excellent service for years.
Bellissimo tutto.
George Hadjipateras: Simply the only place to go to for Chess and Bridge items . They hold events and book signings too . Unique with an excellent online shop too .
Neetan Kathuria: Fantastic find! Full of character and friendly staff.
ME: 👍🏼
Coty P: If you are a chess player, check this store! There's a huge variety of boards. From small pocket magnetic ones to beautiful chess sets. Loads of books and boards games ranging from Ludo to Catan. They also have chairs with boards outside for you to play while visiting
Alperen Yakut: It’s the great place for buying all sorts of chess stuff from boards to books. The store has a pretty decent range of products. The staff is also very kind and helpfulHumble suggestion: Change the logo / sign of the storefront because it doesn’t reflect the quality of the store very well. In reality it looks nicet but the first picture on the Maps listing looks a bit different/low quality for sone reason so maybe it’s just the way how the picture is taken 🙂
Christoph Pauwels: A great little chess shop that has everything to do with the game of chess. It's also great to be able to play outside at 2 tables for free
mark robinson: Absolutely excellent shop to visit as a chess player!
AJMylan2307: Very helpful staff
Phil Hargreaves: What a difference personal, caring service makes. Had a small issue with one of my purchases and the guys went above and beyond organising an immediate replacement in no time at all. It's a sobering reminder that there is no modern substitute for great service. Can't wait to pop in to the shop to thank the guys in person next time I am in London. Thanks guys !
John Szpytma: Great shops for buying most classic board games. Lots of varieties to choose from. They have lots of backgammon sets to choose from also. Very friendly staff.
Theo Walcott: Huge collection of chess books! Always a pleasure to visit this place
Josh Hills: Friendly and helpful staff that took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for
Kate M: Amazing store, the prices are perfect for the quality provided
Darren Lunz: Great for chess lovers!Welcoming and friendly,
Heath Bowers: What a great little place for classic game players. A large selection of boards, accessories, and books for chess, bridge, backgammon players and more.

Kent А.: Best chess shop in London, maybe the world

Nozukcha M: Best chess shop i've ever been to. I bought this lovely, good quality wooden set.

Christopher Nottage: Came up from pompey to visit the store. The atmosphere was great and the shopkeepers extremely helpful knowing just what to suggest and help with.

Giannis Varbobitis: You can still pay cash there!

Karl Heinz: If you are looking for a chess book you should find it here. However, customer service is non-existent and social failures are everywhere. But that's okay and not really surprising.

Jay Clack: Fantastic shop with good chess sets, and phenomenal selection of chess books on all aspects of the game. Also sells some DGT boards if that's your thing. Will be returning!

G 7: Great place to find anything related to chess and other few boardgames. Before entering I saw a gentleman playing chess alone outside - they have few tables with chess boards and pieces - I decided to join him. Soon after the game I went inside and was surrounded by chess boards and chess enthusiasts. I was assisted by one the very helpful individual working at the shop to help me decide to get a book on endgames.Regardless of whether you’re wanting to buy anything, I highly recommend you to visit this place!

Jonas Müller: Really nice place

Christina Nguyen: and huge selection of boards, books, and more

Paula Prux: My experience was excellent! The store is fantastic, it has everything chess as well as other games. There are also some tables set up with games for those who want to practice... I was attended by Jun, who was extremely helpful, friendly and willing to help!

Ewa S: I ordered a chess board as well as some pieces just before Christmas and was able to collect within hours, which was fantastic and very unusual for that time of year! My little boy was very happy with his present, we've played every day since ❤️

munawar nadeem: Nice

Oscar Flores: Well stocked chess board game store on Baker St. near many other shops and restaurants in Central London. They have many different price ranges from high to budget sets or individual game components that you can select to make your own custom set. They also have electronic chess boards and game clocks also in a variety of prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful in selecting a set. They have 4 open chess boards outside available for free play for anyone interested.

Sarju: Was amazed by the shop and the variety of items sold.

Dimitris Perdikou: Went in with a friend's kid who didn't know that much. The place was incredibly helpful. The woman serving us took her time to explain how it all works. Would highly recommend.

Majd David: Super cool shop I strongly recommend to have closer looks 👌 👍

Hiep Nguyen: Manager and staff running the store are down to earth and always accomodating, the community better too.

Valentino bencek: I was in a hurry, so I just picked up some packs to open on the way. Looks like there are a bunch of people there trading cards. Seems like a nice place to be. Girl working there was super polite and helpful.

Ahmet Gürbüz: Thanks for everything, your shop is so good. Thanks to Micheal🙏🙏🙏

Nathan Lawson: Had read good things online so i popped in for some Pokemon singles and couple of booster boxes. They had a really good selection of cards at very reasonable prices - id say all or mostly cheaper than Ebay prices.I wanted older cards so they provided a box for me to look through in my own time, and unlike Ebay i can go through and verify their grading and select the ones i want. Great value IMO and also the confidence you cant always have with Ebay.Staff were very friendly and happy to open up the cabinets/ bring any bits i wanted to look at from the back. Also Japanese booster boxes cheaper than on Ebay. Will definitely be coming back.

jin45235: Very friendly team, traded and bought alot from them, can't wait to see them again *****

Patou Blinx: Super boutique! Très grand choix de cartes à collectionner et très bon accueil des vendeurs! Je recommande a 100% 👍🏽👍🏽

Warhammer: what do users think?

Michael Capovilla: As an overwhelmed American, I walked into this store new to the hobby and unsure where to begin. The GW staff were so helpful. Dario helped set me up with a starter kit, demonstrated how to build a model, and how to paint it. He was so friendly and patient as I peppered him with questions. He helped me paint my first space marine and I got to take it home with me. He helped dispel the notion that the hobby is overly expensive and complicated. Mind you 40k is still a luxury hobby, but it’s not as hard to get into as I thought. I walked out with a lovely haul and I’m starting my 40k journey back home in the states. I will be sure to visit this store again when I’m back in London on holiday. Cheers!

Isaías Weber: We were very kindly welcomed into the store. The exposed minis are nothing short of amazing! Unfortunately we could not find Henry Cavill in there though 🤭

Денис Давыдов: Huge store with gw and forgeworld models

Malo McKechnie: Had a great time, but a few things were out of stock

Andrew Tamkvaitis: I have no clue about warhammer but it looks incredible and staff members are very polite.

Mariusz Górniak: A great place to start an adventure with a new hobby. Very friendly staff with great knowledge and skills, willing to provide help and explenations.

Nick Clarke: Great staff

Fahed ALBdah: Fantastic!

Laurence Powell: Friendly guys, very helpful, I went in to play a game, but saw them interacting with newcomers, and was impressed. Shop has been refurbished in the past couple of years and it's a much bigger place now, they still give good advice and have a huge range

MouShroom: Went in with two Five Guys cups and went out with a cool warhammer bag and the most badass spacemarine there is named after one of the kindest people i've met

Dan Barlow: As far as Games Workshop/ Warhammer shops go, this has been the best stocked GW I've visited outside of Warhammer World in Nottingham. It has lovely, helpful staff and a decent shop layout which didn't feel crowded even though it was busy.

Jacob O: A great store with a lot in stock, wry friendly staff who give you tips and tricks on how to build, paint and play. Do not listen to the bad reviews, they do not know what they are talking about.

mr cat: Warhammer is a great place managed by very nice people who are practically always ready to help

Gareth Sloan: Great, friendly and attentive staff. 5 stars well earned

Krog Zigar: Magasin très bien aménagé avec une équipe très sympathique, à l'écoute et aidante. Si vous êtes fan de wargame foncez !!

Gehtdich Nixan: The customer service was incredible nice and helpfull.

Dmytro Homoniuk: Huge thanks to Emil! This guy was nothing short of amazing walking me through some basic killteam concepts

Arthur Chan: Nice and friendly staff

youssa ben: Emil was a great teacher!!

ashraf ali: Went into the store had no knowledge about the game. Was approached by one of the team members was very friendly and asked if I needed any help as I was new to this he had called over Tilly who knew so much about the game and so forth spoke about so much I had so many questions which Tilly had the answers to which was great. Tilly showed me how to paint the characters spoke about the different universes and also had a small gameTilly’s Story telling was on a next level of story telling. Which immersed me into the game more with the story oh how the enemies had got killed and with all the sneak attack with the characters I made.If it wasn’t for Tilly I wouldn’t have understood the game. Will definitely come back to the store and make more purchases.

Tom: Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff! The manager runs an amazing store

Katie Downham: Cameron helped and assisted me with building and painting my first Warhammer piece. He was very helpful and friendly and an asset to your team. While helping me, he also assisted and greeted other customers. You could tell he enjoyed his job which made the shop very inviting! The other staff also helped my partner with buying some items too. All round enjoyable experience. Thank you.

The Ludoquist - Board Game Cafe Bar: what do users think?

Cat Called Jessie: Great place to find a new game.We love coming here as the amount of games is so vast. We always find a new fav. Service is great and I can recommend the pizza and hot chocolate. We always get this when we go.Can't wait to go back.

Dono G: Easily the best board game cafe I've been to. Spacious, amazing selection of games, great drinks and awesome atmosphere. I did not eat but the food looked good.Highly recommend

Lauren King: Brilliant games cafe. Loads of games of various levels of difficulty to chose from. Great food and friendly staff.Dietary restrictions: Delicious vegan options.

Kirsty Smith: What a great find!! You do have to pre book, but I managed to book in the morning for the same evening. It's reasonably priced at £7 adult and £3.50 for under 16s for up to 3 hours of game time. The drinks are a little pricey but expected due to the location, and they are well presented. The garlic bread was so tasty!! The staff are really knowledgeable about the location of games, and if you have a particular genre you'd like to play, then they are happy and able to make good recommendations. If you love board games, then you need to make a visit. My daughter and I had a lovely evening together and managed to play 3 games in that time, 2 of them we had never heard of before, which was nice. We have actually pre booked to go back and celebrate her birthday with a large group of us.Kid-friendliness: Great for children to play board games instead of devices, but it's not a place for them to be running around as others want to concentrate and not have table nudged, etc. If I had younger children, I'd take them during the day, not the evening as a lot of adults came in to play and have drinks from 6pm onwards when we were there but I preferred this.
