Artisan Coffee School: what do users think?

Solveig: Petit déjeuner dans un café très sympa, belle déco recyclée personnel adorable, café délicieux bons gâteaux super adresse.

Adrian G: Amazing light roast batch brew and delicious chocolate and Guinness cake. 5/5

Swimfly x5: I did the 'How to set up a Coffee Business' course run by Edwin. It is a course that is designed to help you bring your ideas and dream to reality. Edwin was very clear and informative - going through a business plan and step by step breaking down how to complete it as well as the practical steps needed to start your business and run it. Edwin also made sure to answer all our questions and offered support for the future. The course was at the Artisan school, minutes from Ealing Broadway, and offering a good space to learn in.

Steve Turczyn: Attended a latte art half day class taught by Inessa. Very enjoyable, instructor really knows her stuff, lots of fun.Highly recommend!

Hamid S: One of the best coffees

Tony Chard: Lovely artisan coffee shop. Prices were very reasonable and the staff were fantastic! I had the ice Chai latte. The flavor was sweet and mellow with just the right touch of Chai spice.

Gavin J: and had milk that had been frothed expertly

Neslihan Jordan: I can't recommend Edwin's "How to set up a Coffee Shop" one day course highly enough. He was punctual, extremely knowledgable, excellent at explaining concepts and clearly very passionate about passing on his vast experience. He helped me focus my ideas and introduced me to a few aspects of the business I hadn't paid much attention to until now! The course comes with "after care" where you can contact him for more tips and questions which is a welcome bonus.

Desiree De Angelis: Excellent coffee, very kind staff! Lovely and cozy place 😌

Alex Castaldo: Went to the latte art course, Peter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about coffee and taught us so much during the class. Would definitely Recommend To anyone who enjoys a good coffee.

Diana Montalvo: I went to the "How to set up a successful coffee shop" with Edwin at the Artisan Coffee School, and it was great! It's a one-on-one class about developing your idea for your coffee shop. I had a very vague idea and finished the day with a very concrete plan for setting up my coffee shop. I recommend it to everyone looking to start a coffee business.

Dean Chamberlain: Enjoyable please. Enjoyable coffee.Very busy morning rush but they were relaxed and kind. Will go daily whilst we are in London

Dan: Very interesting and enjoyable class!

Danielius Marciukovas: Awesome experience during the Barista Foundation Course! The instructor, Inessa, is amazing, very personable, strong focus on the customer and always ready to help! We also get free coffee and 20% discount on all other purchases for the whole day while taking the course. Will definitely return for a Latte Art Workshop and maybe even Barista intermediate course in the future!

Baristabarbar Barista Training: what do users think?

Thomas Edlich: Did a 2-3h latte art course here and had a pretty nice experience! Good demos and guidance around hearts, tulips and rosettas. Can be a bit challenging if you're a complete latte art beginner but with a tiny bit of experience you can get a lot out of this course. If there's more than 3 people it could be a bit more difficult as you need to rotate in steaming and pouring.

Rosie Lugg: and learnt SO MUCH about the art! I booked this for my best friend for her birthday and we were complete beginners

adam crookshank: Went on the 2 hour course with Farah. Absolutely amazing course and couldn’t recommend it enough. As in depth as you want it to be, and she was able to identify my favour coffee and prepare it.My coffee making at home is genuinely on a par with the best coffees I buy. Well worth it.

Amy Cart: Its quite fun and mysterious trying to find this little gem, nestled inbetween high build offices and tiny takeaway booths, once you find it you know it was worth the journey. When you arrive upstairs the room is very much like a modern workspace, sort of arty and feels very comfortable. Our teacher for the day was cheerful, engaging and knowledgeable. We found out later she was very new and we couldnt tell. Lots of hands on experience with machines, and focus on the perfect espresso, the delving into practing milk. Ive left feeling confident that with the knowldge ive learnt, practicing will be less daunting.Highly reccomend. Thank youuu

Joanne Winston: Fantastic education in the production process of coffee from the soil and altitude at which the bean grows, through to the various shelling and roasting methods, the time period required for beans to mature and then finally how to optimize the extraction process to create the perfect caramel coloured espresso. The course was thoroughly enjoyable, highly informative and left me with a lasting appreciation of what goes in to a good coffee and how best to enjoy it. Thank you!!

Megan Rowlands: Amazing day spent at the barista workshop. We learnt all of the basics, in a small group. Farah was brilliant at explaining things and demonstrating before letting us practice, giving us tips to improve as we went. The course was great value for money and is a brilliant starting course taught by true experts.

Margaret Cantwell: We did this barista training course a while back before we started our coffee bar and roastery. Owen was our trainer. It's a very helpful training if you are aiming to set up a high quality coffee house. It gave us a good grounding in the practical essentials, like grinder settings and a high quality milk technique, which helps keep the milk sweet and avoids any burnt favours. We will be sending all our baristas on this training.

Richard Hook: Little tricky to find but good signs through Vine Court and v much worth the effort. Really excellent insights from Matt if you want to know the full journey from pod/bean to cup and every variable in between

Diana Boneva: We had a great time with Gina at barista Barbar! We went as compete beginners and we left knowledgable and competent. 2 weeks after the course I’m making great coffees in my coffee shop and people are constiently complementing us on our great coffees and latte art!We are really thankful to Gina for a great day, full of REAL coffee making practice and an education that has took us flying in to the barista world! Many thanks Gina!!Aron and Diana

Daniel Hand: Gina was amazingly helpful and a brilliant teacher. She provides information on all things coffee and then guides you through making your first coffee. A friendly and pressure-free environment is just what you need as a first timer and this setting provides just that. Definitely visit her if you are interested in coffee, want to open your own cafe or are working in the trade.

Catherine Bryant: I did the Basic Barista half day course with Baristabarbar today. I work in a cafe and needed to learn how to make a decent coffee. The course covered information on the quality of the coffee beans, all about the grinding processes, how to use/clean the coffee machine, different milks and how to heat the milk AND basic latte art. We even got to make numerous coffees and practise latte art. Really hands on experience and everyone gets a go at making the coffees.Don't be put off by the unassuming back street entrance as it is obvious that Gina knows her stuff and is really passionate about coffee. I would like to go back for the afternoon latte art class!

Kingsley Davies: Fantastic course introducing me to the wonders of coffee making run by an engaging and knowledgeable instructor called Gina. I admit I was a little apprehensive, but Gina put me at ease and was really encouraging. Would recommend for anyone interested in learning more about coffee making either personally or professionally. Likely makes a great alt-date experience too!

Kelly Davies: Absolutely awesome training session at BaristaBarbar with Gina. I've come away with so much knowledge on coffee, processes and production. Really really rate this course. If you want to know more about coffee and barista practices, give it a go- you will have a great time.!!!

Jon Dalgaard: Brilliant experience. Highly recommended.

Pascal Jourzac: or simply want to know how to make the best coffee at home, this is the course for you.

Monica Nordstrom: Great course! Owen was very methodical with a step wise approach to the various steps of coffee making. I can highly recommend the course as a stepping stone into the Barista world.

Heidi was such a good teacher, she explained everything really clearly, and most importantly was very patient! We learnt so much and it felt like every step was a revelation. We had lots of fun and have come away with skills and knowledge to practice, and also a goody bag of delicious ground coffee. Well Grounded: what do users think?

Syrus Walker: Its amazing in there

Maria Carolina Baggio: Well Grounded was the best thing that has happened to me since I've got to London. The Specialty Barista Course gave me not only a real employment opportunity in a new country, but also new friends, a supportive community during these challenging times and a whole new body of knowledge.I am proud to be a Well Grounded graduate and I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned in a real coffee shop!

M D: Wonderful team, so professional. Although the bulk of what they do is mainly for those not in education or employment, they interact with others in the coffee industry to share knowledge and further coffee education as a whole. Recently I was privileged to go on a Sensory Skills Development course - virtually! - and had personal coaching with their barista trainer at the end of the home course. Would highly recommend getting involved with Well Grounded for any aspect of coffee education and careers.

Robert Gordon: Great experience with the at home sensory training, a good introduction to basic tastes and palate training around coffee. Looking forward to more courses they might be doing online.

Nick Buckley: Such a brilliant place to hire for a meeting. Charming staff, lovely space - not to mention the awesome barista academy for disadvantaged Londoners. Just the sort of creative social enterprise that makes this city such an inspiration.

Benjamin Arbez: Well Grounded in truly amazing. I moved to London from France looking to work in speciality coffee. Even tho I am really passionate it was really hard to find a job without experience. I found out about Well Grounded online and did a 2 weeks course. The quality of the teachings is really great and it gave me confidence and practical skills to pursue my passion. I now work in coffee, and I am thankful to Well Grounded for believing in me when others would not! Thank you!

Anita Chowdry: .It was very thorough and well-planned; our tutor Raf clearly deeply passionate about his subject, which included a lot on the sensory aspects of coffee-tasting.We started each day tasting and analyzing different kinds of coffee under Raf's guidance, followed by a lot of solid practice on the coffee machines, with much emphasis on dialling-in and extracting the perfect espresso. We had a lot of practice on milk production too, plus theoretical background on the industry and coffee origins. All of us got a great work-experience day at a working cafe, and on the last day we visited Union Hand-Roastery to learn more about coffee roasting , origins, and tasting. The course was supported with a lot of sound advice about getting a job, including CV advice and 'soft-skills' workshops which helped to develop confidence.I am so glad I attended, and I feel more than prepared to pursue my new career. Great people, well worth looking up.

marek gabonay: I highly recommend this project with a team of very passionate and professional people. We had six amazing days of coffee training with exceptional visit of a local speciality coffee roaster. Raf, Darshika and Eve were very helpful in what we need and I must say effective as some people found the job during the training in an independent coffee shop. Good luck guys! You do a great job.

Brixton Blend: what do users think?

Ella Che: Have been a few times. Real nice coffee and place. Staff are very friendly and they have a small but good selection of cakes and savoury items, some vegan. Inside and some outside seating available.Would get 5 stars if it didn't charge £0.50p for milk alternatives. Most people were ordering oat so they have demand to not over charge for opening and using a carton. Especially when coffees are £3.30-£3.50 anyway.

Jerry Lazurus Sabo: Lovely place, great food just a touch cold - the place not the food! Great service

Leah Smith: Coffee tastes 👌🏼Atmosphere: 4/5 …

Bunty Thapa: They had a decent variety of baked good items. It was easy to choose since they did not have ton of choices.

Alice W: Delicious latte, great heart latte art and friendly serviceService: 5/5 …

everydayeunji: The service is great all the time❣️very local vibes which I love, the coffee is lovely as well! High recommend it☕️

Peter Deegan: .The real delight is the, always friendly, staff. The owner is a nice guy and his staff follow his lead.

Graham Patterson: Small local coffee house serving nice coffee made by welcoming staff. There was a good selection of cakes and pastries including vegan snacks. No problems when I wanted a soy latte.Though there are only four tables downstairs there is more seating upstairs. There is also a clean, unisex bathroom.I didn't ask about WiFi but there was good 5G on my phone and there was certainly no push to get people to leave after they had finished their drinks.I would certainly go back to this coffee shop if I am in the area.Vegetarian options: Good choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu.
