Cookery School at Little Portland Street: what do users think?

Alexandra Zeevalkink: Really enjoyed the knife skills class here. John and Michela were wonderful. Found it super interesting.

Tom Gray: Knife skills - I attended the course led by John and Michaela, coming into it with some knowledge but poor technique. The course is well planned and run. We learned a variety of techniques for all sorts of different shapes and sizes of vegetables and meat. I left with greater confidence in how to do things quickly, efficiently and safely than when I started. Highly recommended. Xxxxxx

Jessica Ryan: Loved the fish and shellfish course! Great for learning techniques and recipes I wouldn’t have tried. John was a great instructor. Would definitely go back and try other courses.

Zahra Rose: Such a beautiful start and stories of the origins of the school. Very knowledgeable staff members and teachers. Top spec equipment, clean environment, hygiene taken very seriously and Betty environmentally aware and friendly in all aspects, great location, 10/10 for teaching styles and attention to detail! Loved every moment. Thank you for having me!

Olivia Allen: What a great class! Teacher was amazing, funny, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We learnt so much in about 3.5 hours, ate so many tasty things, and got loads to take home! I am an avid baker but certainly learnt a lot of new things, though I think it is also very beginner friendly too.Couldn't recommend enough and I will certainly be booking another class with the Cookery School. Thank you!

Katarina Punovuori: Such a wonderful cookery school tucked away near Oxford Circus tube station. Did the Essential Vegetarian course as a novice cook and learnt so much. Staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and practical which really helped with learning. Leaving with a selection of new favourite recipes and enthusiasm for good food. Highly recommend for anyone interested in trying their hand at cooking!EDIT: Have now also attended the knife skills workshop. This was more focused on technique and practicing skills. Very useful and enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Nicolas Kokkinos: I left stuffed to the gills on this fish cooking course. Absolutely a joy learning about how to cook different kinds of fish and various different sauces. Loved it - and John the instructor was so engaging.

Nik Miranthis: Did the fantastic fish course- it was fantastic

Amanda Ramirez: Excellent course!I learned loads.Thank you John, your wisdom, skill and energy was much appreciated.Amanda

Henna A: I was gifted a gift voucher to attend the knife skills class, John was a brilliant teacher. The class was fun, informative and to the point. We also got to eat the lunch we help made - which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this class.

Jorgelina Echavarria: Took the absolute beginners course and it was everything they promised and more! Amazing recipes, food, and learned so many new techniques. Shoutout to John for the great experience.

Sara Meyer: I had an amazing time on the knife skills class. John was a fab teacher, who explained techniques very clearly and guided us through if we got stuck. I feel like I'm much more efficient at chopping, slicing and dicing now!

Sacha Palmer: Such an amazing class - I went for the knife skill course and I was really impressed. Great tips and quality food. I highly highly recommend!!

Rupert Clark: Just done the knife skills class. Just super - really good fun and I learned so many ways to make my cooking faster and easier!

Jeremy Gilbert: I did the knives skills class and learnt alot. The teacher was really good and the practical experiences were broad and useful! The lunch was excellent as well. I would highly recommend.

Anya Clarkson: An absolutely fantastic session - I did the one day Spanish home cooking lesson and learnt so much. The recipes were easy to follow and John did a wonderful job of explaining everything. I learnt so many new skills and the food tasted amazing. So lovely to sit down with a glass of wine at the end and enjoy the product of my labours!

mirela stoica: I attended at the Absolute Beginners, I’m so glad i bought this course, we learned new techniques and how to use different ingredients. John is an amazing chef, he wouldn't let us leave the building until we had memorized everything he taught us. Thank you John. Highly recommend!Ps: After Absolute beginners course , I also bought The Ultimate Fish and Shellfish, and Spain Home cooking classes 😊😁

Aliya Panju: The absolute beginners course here was phenomenal. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The course teaches you multiple cooking skills but most importantly you’ll learn how to cut onions and garlic properly. So I would highly recommend doing a course/ class since this was a great experience.

Bake With Maria: what do users think?

Ben Tobiss: A really informative course, they were happy to answer any questions and it was a very positive friendly atmosphere!

Dee Jacklin-Meyer: Excellent - highly recommend

leigh Edwards: x

Babs Minarova: We had a team building bake with Maria. Super fun, everyone loved it!

Elliot Neale: We joined one of Maria’s classes - absolutely brilliant and really good fun! Class pitched at a great level that has an element of technicality to them, but not too complex. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a baking class!!

Elizabeth Page: are next level delicious, and it’s a fun time with other bakers from all over the world. Maria herself is down to earth but so knowledgeable about the science of baking. She communicates clearly and effectively which gives us all a feeling of confidence when we go forth. Cannot thank her enough!!!

Cheryl Hamilton: , I was even fortunate enough to go on her Culinary Tuscany Escape, such an amazing experience. I am constantly reproducing her delicious recipes to the great joy of my family, friends and work colleagues! I have met all kinds of home bakers in these classes from the very confident, to those not so, but we all leave with the same three things: more experience; a lovely time; and lots of yummy treats! Thank you Maria

Josh Baker: I recently took my Mum on Maria’s “Bread Baking Extravaganza Class” as a Christmas present. It’s safe to say it was one of the best baking classes we’ve ever done! It was great value for money and we made 5 different types of bread within the 3 hours that the class runs for.Maria was a very good teacher, she took the time to help everyone individually and made us all feel comfortable in her kitchen and with each other. Going as far as to bake some delicious cookies & brownies for our arrival!I would definitely recommend these classes to anyone who was looking to learn baking or as a present to someone! My mum absolutely loved it and has been baking lots of bread since. The focaccia is now a family favourite! Thanks, Maria!P.S. Mum said thank you very much for the tip on the macarons - they work perfectly now!

Bun C: It was amazing croissant course! We made Croissant, Pain Au Chocolat, Pain au raisin & little Cinnamon pastry today. It was so clear easy to understand even I don’t know about the bakery, that was my first croissant in life haha. I love it the whole experience it was so efficient, fully enjoy the course and fun. Took 2 boxes full of joy & the tote bag as well LOLLove the kitchen! Lovely Maria she is so nice lady, always smile. Definitely recommend!

Anand: I had a great time learning how to make patisseries and petite fours with Maria. From the moment you walk in you feel very welcome and “at home”. Maria is a great teacher and the class is run very well, she made baking really simple as I never thought I would be able to make macarons and the ones we baked tasted just like the fancy laduree ones. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone wanting to bake and learn from an experienced teacher.

Sarika Jain: Baked the most delicious cakes with Maria. The class was really relaxed and friendly, the kitchen airy and spotless, and the cakes....amazing!

Jackie Brown: I enjoyed a wonderful half-day with Maria making sourdough. The class was exceptionally well organised and informative. Maria shared her enthusiasm for baking and professional knowledge in a lovely relaxed environment. Highly recommended! Thank you.

Zoe Jankel: I did a bread baking class and it was really good. I've made bread before but it's always touch and go in terms of what's going to come out of the oven at the end. This class was so helpful in teaching how to knead, the different textures you're looking for at the various stages of the proving process and how to make different types of bread, including a no-knead soda bread. Now just working out when I can go back and do another course!

Amanda-Jane Lewin: . Thank you Maria, I’m sure I’ll be back for more! x

Meg Dilnot: too! I would highly recommend these classes and will be coming back both solo and with friends I’m sure ❤️

silksatin xoxo: I attended a petite four class with Maria and it was one of the best, well run places I have ever attended, she is so thoroughly, easily explains everything and super enjoyable, the 3 hours flew by so easily and made really great treats that are gonna help me expand my little business.I cant wait to attend more after the holidays and learn more from her.And her classes are great value . Kim whiley: Such a fun evening, we now know how to make proper sushi and impressive coctails!! Highly recommend!

John Hardy: All were restaurant grade food that we cooked. The bottomless wine is great, my daughter and I had such fun on the Indian Street Food, defo going to try and bring my young boys on their school holidays to try out a kids class. We have given these as birthday presents as well as just come because we are addicted to The Avenue, their way of doing a class making it fun and enjoyable.Keep it up folks !

Dapo Olowu: fantastic cooking class, great hosts, i definitely learned a lot here from enzo and the team. definitely recommend

Paul Carse: Really enjoyed the evening. Learned a lot, cooked some lovely food with lovely people

Eleanor Stone: My sister and I enjoyed a great vegan baking class. I can't believe we made so much and had it all to take away with us! Even though I've done a lot of baking, I still learnt lots - Richard is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Only thing I would change - if we had got the carrot cake in the oven sooner, before he explained the other bakes, it would have had longer to cool and the icing wouldn't have melted on the way home!

Dawn: What a fabulous cookery school! We really enjoyed the fish class...Richard was super knowledgeable, good fun & taught us loads!

David Attwell Thomas: My partner and I went along to a Sunday morning donut making class and had a great time - the school is lovely, really well taught and all the folk working there were very kind and helpful.

Lindsey Griffiths: .

Matt Le Good: We had a brilliant time here. The food was amazing, wine was free flowing, teachers were friendly, fun and knowledgable.

Reid Elliott: Awesome fun night.. highly recommend and Enzo and the team were great !

Tom Guy: An amazing evening; with great staff, atmosphere and food!

James & Caroline Huffam: Brilliant sushi making workshop, really enjoyed it. Super knowledgeable instructors/chefs and wonderful environment

Kathryn Skelton: Excellent cooking class: fast paced and fun with expert guidance. We enjoyed at the end of the class tucking into the delicious restaurant quality food that we had made 😄

Tom Heinink: An absolutely brilliant evening with Rich and his team. Learnt how to make a range of tapas, drank a lot of wine, and ate a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

Tom Gooding: Fabulous school. Family run business that offers informative, fun, social and great value classes. The facility in Wandsworth is a brilliantly equipped kitchen in an easily accessible location. I would, and regularly do highly recommend them to friends and family! Thank you guys

Eva Adam: and both times were absolutely incredible. Richard is an amazing chef with a vast of knowledge and really good teaching skills. They always create a lovely atmosphere and able to tailor to individual needs so even if you are more experienced in the kitchen you come away with real pro tips. He also makes sure that he spends time with everyone therefore you truly benefit from the feedback and adjustments. I would recommend this place for everyone: couple’s datenights, cooking enthusiasts, new to cooking, experienced home cooks. You’ll have a great time, amazing food and drinks and will come away with lots of new skills that you can put into practice straight away.

Fair Cake: what do users think?

stacey roper: I had an amazing experience doing the Mother’s Day lite baking workshop. Fun, clean, great atmosphere and Emete is such a wonderful instructor. I highly recommend - so glad to have this in our community.

samantha partridge: We have had a lot of cakes from Friddles cakes over the last couple of years and we wouldn't go anywhere else. The service is always on point and the cakes taste absolutely amazing. We've even been to one of the couples workshops and it turned out to be an amazing afternoon with more delicious cakes and cookies at the end of the event. Here's just 2 of 11 cakes we've had in the last 2 years.

Angela Lyons: Friddles Cakes are beautifully designed and the taste as equally beautiful. I have had a few cakes from Emete and her team for birthdays, each time I do people always comment on the cake. Emete has an excellent eye for details. Often we don't want to cut the cake so we can admire it more.Recently I attended a workshop Emete put on for Valentine's Day.With a group of couples we decorated tasty cookies and cupcakes. We were shown how to decorate our cakes using a buttercream piping. I loved how we could be creative in decorating or cookies with the guidance of Emette and her team.We had so much fun. I would definitely recommend attending a workshop for something that is different.Check out Friddles cakes on Instagram too. The designs are a delight to look at.

Jessika Gadoury: I ordered my birthday cake from Friddle's Cake and I am very impressed. The cake looked amazing and the flavours were very good. Usually I tend to find cakes too sweet but this one was perfect! The ordering process was very easy. Overall I would recommend this shop and will definitely be back for future cake needs.

Riley Riley: Emete did the most amazing cake for our wedding. It looked beautiful and tasted so good. Everyone was commenting on how amazing it was. Emete truly is a master of her craft. I would highly recommend Friddles Cakes to anyone.

Pamela Rustem: , that I have started a folder on my iPhone, for all my ‘favourite Friddles’!!!I could go on and on describing the quality, imagination, passion that goes into each one, but reach out and see for yourselves. Perfection personified. ⭐️

Oleg Tolstoy: Thank you!

Leanne Parry: I had THE most beautiful cake made by Friddle’s cakes for my daughters 1st birthday. It was nothing short of perfect! Tasted and looked amazing! Highly recommended!

A K: We had such a great experience with her!Amazing cake, more than happy!

London Cookery School: what do users think?

P .K: really enjoyed it!

viola pica: I attended the Dim Sum 3h cooking class with my boyfriend and it was delightful. Our teacher Will was quick to make all the guests feel relaxed and excited and kept us engaged all the way through. The way we were taught all the tricks for the dough and the fillings and the shaping of the dim sums was easy to follow and very fun to learn. Will is obviously experienced in what he does and is also capable of lightening up the mood for beginners who find the shaping of the dim sum difficult. The class ended with our cooked dim sums tasting great and a lot of interesting new knowledge regarding this dish. I would highly recommend as a gift for a parent or partner or friend, it’s a great experience

Ruti Amal: My partner and I had an amazing dim sum making class today. Easy instructions, great sense of humour, enouragement and tasty results! Highly recommended. We want to go for the sushi class too.

Toby Playfair: Really enjoyed the beginners dim sum class led by Will

Emma: I was bought a sushi making experience as a gift and it was brilliant. Will taught us and he was so enthusiastic, detailed and clear. The sushi was great, you get to make loads and then eat it all after!

elaine s.: It was an absolutely joy to spend 3h cooking and eating our delicious dim sum! Antonina was our. chef and she did an amazing job teaching us. Her assistant was sick so she had to do it all by herself and she was brilliant at it! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.

thomas michael wallace: Took my Dad for his birthday and had a lot of fun learning how to make Sushi with Will!

Tim Hall: My wife, daughter and I took a dim sum class this past weekend with Will from the London Cookery School. My daughter purchased this class for us as a Christmas gift, all of us to do together. The experience was far better than I had imagined. Will – the instructor and owner of the school – is an excellent instructor. He was engaging and entertaining, and the three hour experience passed very fast as a result. We love dim sum, and this is absolutely the perfect introductory class. We got to eat what we made at the end, and that was the real cherry on the cake. We are all keen to develop our skills at home for dim sum, and Will got us off to a flying start. We might go back and try the school’s sushi prep class too, because if it is of the same calibre as the dim sum class, it would be outstanding.I highly recommend this class. You will find your afternoon with Will delightful, and you will leave with an excellent knowledge of how to make dim sum. It is a great way to spend a half day with friends or family.

Richard Wolfe: Enjoyable. Informative and funRichard

Hayley Watson: Completed the dim sum class with my partner. So much fun and the teacher was brilliant. Easy to understand the instructions and she got straight to the point. Best bit was being able to eat what we made and you could even order a wine or beer to go with your meal. I would definitely recommend!

Vieri Nucci: Thank you Will for the class. It was all well planned, managed and lead. We had a good time and learned how to make 3 different types of dim sum during the 3 hours long class. And of course they were delicious!

Phil Allen: really enjoyed the evening, which Will made super fun and relaxing. Learnt some great techniques and also some secrets. I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned in the practice at home. Thanks again Will for a fantastic evening.

The Operatic Physio: Will is an engaging teacher, easy to understand and makes the class entertaining. Learned lots of interesting facts about dim sums and was surprised by the professionalism of the final product! Highly recommend this for a date night or double date idea!

James Carpenter: Thank you to Will for a relaxing, informative and delicious sushi making experience! I appreciated the energy you brought to the class as well as the balance of professionalism and humour. I will say that when we arrived we weren’t sure if we were in the right place because the outside of the building wasn’t what we expected but that’s no discredit to the class itself.

The course was comprehensive and Stefano provided excellent opportunities for everyone to get involved and ask as many questions as possible. Definitely excellent value for money and I would highly recommend the course at Food at 52

The classes are well taught and, more importantly, for someone who isn’t a huge fan of cooking, highly entertaining! Jean Marc & Emily are great teachers - both patient and offer good tips to make replicating the experience at home easier. They made everyone feel so at ease. I would highly recommend. The food was absolutely delicious! 🤤😋

Jonathan R: hosted by Jean-Marc and Emily who were excellent teachers. We learned a lot, particularly regarding how to

Sara White: It’s definitely worth it. I had the best time! I did the Italian cooking class from 11-4 and it went by so fast. Everything was amazing! The staff, the food, the atmosphere. Loved every minute of it and it is by far the best cooking class I have been to.Most cooking classes the portions at the end are very small but here I actually left feeling very full and that’s saying something… for me. You get to cook quite a lot of different dishes and styles of cooking which is great. The chef was very knowledgeable and entertaining and the two guys helping out in the back were super lovely and very quick and tidying up. I didn’t know drinks were included but that was a nice surprise - red, white and cucumber water available throughout the entire class.Couldn’t fault it - going back for the Vietnamese lessons next and I can’t wait!

Le Cordon Bleu London: what do users think?

Ls Chan: The Le Cordon Bleu Cafe is a good place to rest your feet & enjoy a cup of coffee after visiting the British Museum. The blue berry pastry is very tasty - would definitely been better if it’s just out from the oven! Friendly Service too.

Juliana Albuquerque: Pleasant atmosphere and delicious brunch

Adam Lewis: The Tastes of Asia course was lots of fun, & terrific number of tips & techniques that reasly improve your cooking! Chef Marco & Chef Colin were brilliant!

Nikolas Cruz: I really like it and also loved it the way how they teach

Alexey Subach: Cheese and wine pairing event was nice, there were 6 kinds of cheese and 6 kinds of wine. The sommelier was a bit late and overall we only tried the first pair at the end of the first hour and therefore had to rush a little bit in the second hour to try the rest of the pairs. The sommelier told us a lot of information about the cheese and wine and it was great that he had a screen where he could Google and show us some pictures. There were no extraordinary pairings but I liked most of the cheese and a couple of wines. The building and room itself were a bit old-fashioned while they present themselves as the state of the art building

Sherry Zhao: How can the work of Le Cordon Bleu students not taste good? Praise 👍

David Ramboux: Out of the bustle, an oasis of calm and taste. Perfect

Terry Graves: Excellent service and food

Itzhak Bekerman: Excellent coffee and cakes

Bob S: We visited cafe only. Good coffee and desserts. Outside sitting in a small courtyard.

Lee Churm: Absolutely brilliant place. Very affordable and the chef was brilliant. Helped me master the Macaron! Couldn't recommend it enough

Susan Woodward: Great cookery school, informative and knowledgeable teachers. Great environment inside and you are well looked after. Lovely beginners bread course this time.

Sahar I. Khan: Lately I completed #frenchpatisserie course from @waitroseandpartners cookery school London and loved every bit of it. It was a wonderful experience throughout the day, it was like being on a TV cooking show ☺ I'm highly impressed by their professionalism. They provided us lunch, printed recipes, coffee and drinks. The staff was very welcoming and waiting area was nice and cosy. I'm definitely going back for another course but there are limited seats available due to social distancing. Our course started at 10:00 and finished at around 16:00. Our instructors were Helen & Emily at Finchley Road, both were very helpful and friendly.

Pau B: Went to the knife skills course and it was life changing!! Realised it is the basic of all cooking to know how to use the knives properly. The chef was really good and helped us so much. Explained everything really well, answered our questions and helped our technique while we cooked our 3 course meal. The 5 hrs flew by. I didn't know what to expect but I'm not disappointed and definitely going back!

Yuki's Kitchen: what do users think?

Ava Bajpai: We had such an amazing time with Yuki.We booked her class because my dad is an intermediate chef and she offered a custom class that allowed us to all learn and have fun together. We won't ever forget the class and we made such delicious healthy food, it was surprising how little salt oil etc was involved!Yuki had a wealth of knowledge about the ingredients and the science behind them. It was easy to follow and I'm looking forward to doing more classes online and trying the recipes myself at home!

Alexey Subach: A great experience - the chef is a very friendly person, making the atmosphere relaxed yet educational and tasty. I personally did not learn way lot during the gourmet sushi and sashimi master class but there were a few things I knew about and was budget to start doing at home. All the cooking process was transparent and the chef did not try to hide any secrets. The quality of products and fish was great. I also appreciated that aside from the masterclass it was a great culinary experience and we had a lot of tasty food to try. I definitely recommend this school to sushi lovers, especially if you haven’t booked sushi at home yet

Roberta Franchi: I did the Japanese home cooking course with my boyfriend and we both absolutely adored it!!! Yuki is energetic, positive and very knowledgeable. It was so interesting to learn all the aspects of japanese cuisine and cook delicious recipes! What an amazing evening!

Sarah Penhall: Had a great time, learnt so much! Definitely recommend

Sarah T: We really enjoyed our class with Yuki, learning basic principles of Japanese cooking, adapting for other recipes and choosing the best ingredients. She managed to answer our multitude of questions as well as demonstrate, oversee our efforts and produce a delicious meal for us as if we were friends round for supper!

Michelle Downes: a cooking class with Yuki for her Xmas present and wow what an amazing experience she had. Would absolutely recommend to adults and kids wanting to learn Japanese cuisine Yuki is lovely and a fantastic teacher thank you so much xx

Susannah: I took part in Yuki's 'Sushi at Home' class and thoroughly enjoyed it! She made it fun, breaking everything down into simple steps. The pace was good - it was quite swift but Yuki always went back to recap and made sure everyone was still on track. This meant we were able to make quite a few things in the time allocated. I'd highly recommend this class, and hope to be able to do another one myself in the future. Thank you Yuki!

Joe Kallarackal: We attended the 3 Flavours Ramen class and it was a great demonstration class. Full of useful tips and tricks, including what brands to buy, from where, and how to prep ramens in advance. We didn't realise we'd get 3 portions of ramen in the class so left stuffed. Yuki has a very welcoming and fun energy which made the class fly by.

Aidan Akira Moss: Really enjoyable in person class, personal and cosy atmosphere, delicious food made accessible.

Alice Lecointe: Yuki is an absolutely wonderful chef and teacher, she helped us create a bespoke workshop to immerse our team for a client at work, we learnt a huge amount and had a fantastic time. Yuki hosts you at her house, which feels very intimate and special. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Japanese cuisine.

Simona Barbieri: One of the BEST family days we have EVER had! Yuki's a delightful chef, teacher, host. We learnt delicious recipes, it was all so clearly explained and laid out for us... but most of all we learnt about nutrition, our health and so many new ideas. Kids were INSPIRED by her knowledge and the magic of Japanese culture. I couldn't possibly recommend her enough. A day we will never ever forget!!

James Gairdner: I did Yuki's gyoza class. I came alone but was immediately made to feel welcome. Great food, great company and excellent teacher. Unlike many courses really feels like something I can replicate at home. Signing up to learn Sushi next.

Jo_Grogan: I attended a cooking class with a friend and we had a fantastic time, Yuki is wonderful, the class was very informative, the food was delicious and we all had a great evening. Would highly recommend.

Jessica Baker: I did Yuki’s ‘Sushi-Let’s Roll!’ class and it was incredible! She’s so lovely and super inspiring, she made everyone feel at home and talked through each step of the process so you weren’t lost or confused. I’d definitely do this again and couldn’t recommend it more to friends & family. Thank you Yuki!

Laura Puiggalí González: I did a 'gyoza from scratch' class, and it was incredible! Yuki was lovely and energetic, and her explanations were very clear. I particularly enjoyed how detailed the written materials were - after the class, I've been able to continue making my gyozas and they are looking better every time. I will definitely be signing up to more!

Jonathan Brearley: Great course - Yuki is fun, full of energy and knows so much about Japanese cooking that she wants to share. I lived in Tokyo fir a year but now know for more about how to cook ramen than I did then!Highly recommended!

Caroline Fry: Participated in Yuki's 'Gyoza three ways' class earlier this week. The class was a great mix of hands on cooking as well as sitting back and enjoying watching Yuki the pro at work and hearing her great stories about life in the kitchen and her many many tips and tricks for perfecting japanese cookery. We also had an absolute feast of gyoza to eat as well! Highly recommend!

Annemarie Harvey: Yuki managed to pack in just the right amount of information in her excellent Let's Roll sushi class. Highly recommend.

Sofia L: The Cooking Academy hosted a fun and engaging cooking competition event for me and my colleagues. From the planning stages dealing with the corporate event team in the office to event team and chefs on site on the evening of the event, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. They are professional, knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and fun – absolutely lovely. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and I have received a lot of praise of the event and positive feedback from my colleagues. I would highly recommend the Cooking Academy!

The Big London Bake: what do users think?

Alisha Patel: I have never seen the show and I’ve also never baked! They provide clear instructions on what to do. Everything is already measured out for you. There’s even a timer on the mixer. As you are putting your cake together, the staff are kindly in the background collecting and cleaning unwanted plates from your table. You get to be creative . They provide different sprinkles, flavours and food colouring. Don’t be afraid to ask the staff members for help.It was such a great experience, I would definitely come back! Also the venue is next to a pub. It’s a nice pub, with a great food menu, they have an outdoor pergola pub garden area with some areas of shade.Overall cannot fault anything - great experience for birthdays, parties, taking your parents .

Samantha Gazzard: Fantastic experience, lots of fun! Teacher was great & brought humour to the day. Easy to follow instructions with the allowance of your own creativity with all supplies readily available.

K L: We had a wonderful experience at the Big Bake. The tent is well equipped and the workstations perfect for the task.Check their instagram for what the month’s challenge will be.You are provided with an apron and all the ingredients and equipment. Instructions are detailed and the rest is up to you! They very helpfully clear and wash up as you go.Once the time is up you all present what each paid has made for judging. It’s brilliant to see everyone’s creations. The best bake gets a small prize to take home. Boxes are supplied to bring your bake home with you, with extra if you are splitting it with your partner.

Pretash Patel: Hosts were really nice, although didn't really check on how you were getting on, I think it was expected you would have some baking knowledge. All the ingredients were prepared, it did feel like a bake off experience and generally good fun.If you have no baking experience, maybe give it a miss, if you love baking then I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy it.
