Salsateca Dance School: what do users think?

Jonathan Bailey: Our teacher Virginia was absolutely amazing. There were 12 of us on a stag do, and it was so much fun to learn some merengue and salsa steps in preparation for the wedding in Spain. The class was fun, relaxed and informative. Would highly recommend to any individual, couple, or group!

Abraham Hanif: OMG! I CAN DANCE!After nearly ten years of no dancing I went to this intensive two hour class and it went surprisingly well.I thought I had forgotten all the moves but they came flooding back.I am indebted to Elder, he said I had rhythm..... What a wonderful thing for him to say to this old geezer! 😆I am indebted to the ladies, they were so friendly and supportive, they led me through most of the pattern, it took til the end for me to get it.I'm sad that i couldn't practice in a club, but it'll happen hopefully. As Arnie said... "I'll be back". 🤓

Rafiq Ghani: ***Amazing dance school!Virginia and her team were experts and so much fun in classes. It is very easy for beginners and great for more experienced dancers. The vibe is fun and everyone works together! Good times!

Veronika Eberhardt: Amazing teachers and friendly environment.

Adam Jasinski: Salsateca has been the best beginner experience I have had. If not for them and Virginia I would have given up on dancing. Not only the lessons are well structured but you can feel the true passion. The whole team Elder, Ivan, Julio, Bekki are simply fantastic people who want to provide people with a fabulous and fun experience.Their offering is also very flexible and provides salsateros at any level with something new to learn and brush up on. Social dances are also an amazing way to engage with local community and make new friends. Anything from lessons to intensive workshops and socials is simply a great investment into a hobby that improves your well-being.Thank you Salsateca team!

Michael Drum Bates: I started as a newbie in January. The vibe, the lessons, the people, the teachers. All fantastic 👏If you haven't yet, get yourself to a class. 100% recommend

Vir Yi: Salsateca runs Salsa and Bachata lessons every days of the week around London, Bromley and Orpington. As well as parties and fun workshops. I started dancing several years ago and I just got addicted. People from all ages and backgrounds interact on the dance floor where the atmosphere is so friendly and fun. You don't need a partner and you don't need to book in advanced, they keep changing partners during the lessons so is so much fun. There are 4 different levels and many beginners every day so you always find many people in your same situation. 100% recommendable experience.

Jefferson Figueroa Camacho: . They have classes for the absolute beginners to the advanced. Would definitely recommend the classes!

Juma William: The fact that they offer Cuban, Cross body Salsa and Bachata classes in one place across different locations of your choice make Salsatec peculiar. Also having different teachers for the same class made me improve and adapt different techniques. The teachers are competent, friendly, tolerant, nonjudgmental and always willing to help.I have been attending Salsatec for the past 3 month to start with Intermediate level to advance Level and enjoy every single moment.Overall, I started dancing salsa in Sept 2021 as a beginner and feel like I have been dancing salsa forever because of the help I received. I am so grateful to be part of this school.

Hasitha Subasinghe: I've been to quite a few schools and I can ay that Salsateca are consistent. They are on time and well organised. Their teachers are very good and talented. Given the variety they do, they do it well. As always there is a lot more that can be done. But overall very good and professional outfit. No wonder they have been around for over 30 years! Awesome founder, awesome staff and dance teachers!

D H: I've been going to Salsateca classes and parties for years and their teachers are truly amazing and professional. The classes are serious but fun and you will make friends for life there.

Uyen Tran: . The location can't be better with the backdrop of Tower Bridge and the Shard. The vibe was cool as all learners joined in with full spirit regardless of levels. A must-return do. Highly recommended! Thank You Virginia n the team for the surprised fun today. See you again soon.

Isabella Liu: I love coming to the classes at Salsateca! The variety of styles on offer for different experience levels every day of the week is fab, and all the teachers are super experienced and fun.

Lon Logistics: I hired Salsateca for our monthly office drink, they were amazing. They came to the office just to check the place and discuss the best set-up and concept that we should do.They were very proactive and accommodating during the planning stage and on the day itself they were brilliant. They interact well with the crowd and manage to get everyone to dance. I had so much positive feedback from everyone who attended the event and everyone loves them.I can’t recommend them enough, super easy to work with, very professional and most of all very very affordable 😊

Φιλίππα Πριτσίνη: Great place for salsa and bachata!

Tony: I recently attended an extensive beginners Cuban salsa class taught by Elder and was very impressed by his teachings. Not only did I learn the basic steps, but had a great time dancing which enhanced both my physical and emotional well being .Thank youTony

Cosmin Bucataru: Best Dancing School in London, full stop. Highly experienced, professional, supportive and fun teachers. Wide variety of Salsa and Bachata classes across multiple locations during evenings. Needless to say, the extra free Social Dancing, where you can practice your moves, it’s a huge plus.It is addictive and you’ll make a lot of new friends and enjoy a lot of El Bembe parties, which they organise. To sum up … a truly “Latin Paradise”!

Andrei Hîrgău: and in terms of pacing and length

Mel Marshall: Salsateca are amazing, the teachers are really friendly and are able to work with all experience levels. I went to my first class in 2019 just to try something new and I was hooked! Even through the pandemic there were options to dance and I'm now doing 2 or 3 Salsateca classes a week plus the social dances. Absolutely love it and the sense of community and the friends I've made have helped me so much.

Lucas Reynes-Matter: , the teachers made the classes so fun and relaxed that I always had a smile on my face.I've now been going for almost two years and I'm completely hooked. As well as becoming more and more confident with my dancing, I have made lots of amazing friends - it's no exaggeration to say that salsa has changed my life! The passion and knowledge of everyone at salsateca, the relaxed atmosphere and lovely people at classes have made my salsa journey a joy and I can't recommend them highly enough to anyone thinking of taking lessons.

Lorna Carby: Excellent teaching , taking time and patience to appreciate their students .

Gianmarco Panfili: . Different salsa styles, bachata and more. Strongly recommend!! Agua!!! :

Denis Sharov: Best and friendliest school in London, socials are amazing as well. Best value for money.

Pablo P: Salsateca is an amazing dance school, really fun and welcoming place to be. The instructors are incredibly talented and supportive they break down complex salsa moves into easy-to-understand steps and they offer classes for all skills level.I highly recommend Salsateca!

Chris Jarvis: Salsateca has strong teachers that really inspire you to learn how to dance, with an emphasis on how to dance, think, and feel the music, not just copy things like a robot. I’ve tried many other salsa schools that tend to teach a few routines but miss the essential little tips and aspects that Salsateca provide in abundance. It’s clear their teachers have a passion and deep knowledge of what they’re showing you and the intensive courses on Saturdays are a fantastic way to make progress quickly. The people are welcoming and you will struggle to find a more enjoyable and quicker way of becoming proficient at dancing.

Shirel Lebovich: My partner and I went to our first class in Elephant and Castle and we loved it! It was fun and easy to follow. We learnt salsa and bachata, and we enjoyed both. The teacher was great and made sure we were comfortable with the steps. We look forward to going back!

Katie Anderson: Salsateca is such a joy. The dancers are fun, energetic and patient. The whole vibe is really welcoming and supportive, and the music is always on point. Would recommend for any beginners or anyone looking to brush up their skills!

Rachael Madume: Fun and friendly people! Welcoming environment!Forgot my phone and luckily someone kept it safe for me and I was able to get it back and get home safely xSuper grateful 💖

Max Dickman (dickmanmax): A very welcoming and fun beginners class - highly recommend.

Kwesi: Amazing Salsa - experienced teachers and lovely classes

Mike Rothwell: Nice salsa lessons for broad range of skills. I have two left feet naturally, so it is nice the instructors have taken a little extra time to help get me up to speed. Virginia in particular adds her own eccentric flavour to the classes which has to be lived to be believed. I can't comment on the more advanced classes, but they look fun and inspiring, and I am finding myself looking forward to the dance classes each week.

Hannah Hassani: First time going to a salsa and bachata class and it was so much fun! Virginia was an amazing teacher and made myself and everyone else feel very comfortable learning the steps individually before doing some partner work. The class had a very friendly, relaxed environment which I also loved. I came on my own and will definitely be coming back for some classes in the near future.

Callum Whittle: Very fun and incredibly welcoming! Virginia is a great teacher, balancing pearls of dance wisdom and good lighthearted humour.

Jodi Coffman: Highly recommend these fantastic classes. Virginia is a fantastic teacher, really great for beginners but also pushes you to improve quickly whilst maintaining a fun environment.

Michael Rodrigues: I have a great time at the salsa and bachata classes! Instructors are patient and the atmosphere is fun. Highly recommended!

Daniella Maë: Salsateca is a wonderful place to discover Cuban culture through dance. What truly sets them apart is their diverse range of styles, from cross-body salsa to Cuban salsa to Son and their rhythm workshops.Virginia’s teaching is a perfect blend of attention-to-detail and an emphasis on having fun. Her passion for salsa is infectious, making every class an absolute joy.If you’re seeking a more advanced class, I also recommend Julio’s class on a Tuesday. His combination of expertise and uplifting energy is not to be missed!

Since then, they have moved their base a few too many times - every time dumping students in the cold, from what I have seen.I have personally been left holding a loyalty card with over 8 classes remaining for a stretch of over 8 months without knowing if they had permanently shut down or not
