Blackbook Winery: what do users think?

Aleksandar Gradinarov: I can't recommend Blackbook enough. We visited for a wine tour/tasting and had an excellent experience. Sergio's expertise, the exceptional wine selection, and the inviting ambiance make it an absolute gem in the world of urban wineries. Regardless of your wine knowledge level, a visit to Blackbook will leave you with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation for the art of winemaking.

Nadezhda Alexandrova: Amazing wine and great atmosphere. We learned about British wine production. Sergio is super knowledgeable and gave us a lovely overview of the wine production process 🍷🍷

Susan King: A friend treated us to the tour at Blackbook Winery and it made for a really interesting hour. It's incredible what they produce in an arch underneath a railway track, but goes to show with passion and drive you can achieve anything anywhere. It was great to learn about UK wines and to taste the different varieties being produced. We especially loved the chardonnay and have enjoyed a bottle at home already - the other bottle we will save for a special occasion as it really is that good.

Clare: We went on the winery tour yesterday with Sergio for my friend's birthday. Such an interesting guy who is super knowledgeable about wine production and passionate about UK produced wine. He put up with us asking hundreds of questions too! Looking forward to drinking the two bottles I bought to take home 🍷🥂

Will Ross: Impressive space under a railway arch in South London, home to production equipment, oak barrels and fridges with Blackbook's c. 20,000-bottle-per-year production. Attending the informative wine tour and tasting is an excellent way to welcome the mid-afternoon.

Tom Mackay: Not visited the place but a friend gave me a bottle of their chardonnay which I put to one side with a little suspicion about wine produced in a railway archway in London. Any way the other night I opened it when a few friends came round. Several other bottles were opened but once tasted it was the Black Book everybody wanted to have. This sommelier knows what he is doing.

Shaun Alpine-Crabtree: Blackbook Winery x Food StoriesBBQ by the legendary Helen of Food Stories with partner-in-crime Donald in the heart of a London winery hosted and wine-matched by the magnificent Serge.Literally could not wipe the greasy-sticky-bbq-y smile off my face all night. Just all the love to both teams for an amazing time. Thank-you thank-you.Cannot wait for the next one.

Joanna Bartlam: I did a wine tasting and tour with Blackbook Winery and was so impressed. I have never done one before and didn't really know what to expect but I absolutely loved it. Sergio was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his wine and the way it is made and I found the whole thing fascinating. Also the wine was delicious! I will definitely be buying some and I look forward to going back to try this years vintage!

Adrian Sia Lu: Great to visit Blackbook and hear their fantastic story of making English wine in urban London - small and intimate and I enjoyed the wine!

Forest Wines: what do users think?

Kim 'The Empress': cook at his pop-up. Fabulous. Ate exquisite food and drank gorgeous wine. I don’t live round the corner but will be returning to buy my wine from there as the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the wine reasonably priced. Great feel about the whole set up.

P Chaglar: Excellent food and a lovely local gem!! We really enjoyed the experience of the chef in residence. We wouldn’t normally go to a wine bar as my partner doesn’t drink, but I’m so glad that we did!The food was excellent, a very well balanced menu and approx ⅓ vegetarian which is always good. We especially enjoyed the ‘CRAB VOL-AU-VENT’ and ‘RADICCHIO, TOMATO & CITRUS SALAD’The staff were also incredibly attentive to us, with the chef making an appearance to check how we were enjoying ourselves and even personally presenting our last dish! The owner was also super friendly and personable, and displayed excellent customer service.

Rachel Coles: Richard Foster is making the food at forest wines - do not miss it! Absolutely stunning! We especially loved the celeriac, wagu, langoustine, mushrooms, sticky toffee pud - but really, all of it was beautiful. The team are super friendly and accommodating with amazing service and atmosphere. Still drooling and we are all talking about how great it was. Thank you forest wines & Richard.

Victoria Cartwright: . Prices are fair and customer service is absolutely second to none.I always prefer to support small businesses but it isn’t always easy. Forest Wines makes it totally hassle free to do so.

Luke Masters: Really fab range and very reasonable prices - staff were lovely. First of many trips!

El B: Bottle of natural wine with a couple of friends, three of us sat at the bench in front of the window. The owner helped us choose from a few options based on the kind of thing we described liking. The owner was really down to earth and we just felt comfortable here and had a great time. I would definitely recommend and go back.

Sonia L: but have done so several times, the quality of the wines is excellent, prices reasonable and delivery is always very fast. They also have a good loyalty/points scheme.

Jon Tong: Lovely little local wine shop - great selection of wines and at very reasonable prices! They also stock some craft beers and spirits as well.Service is very friendly and unpretentious. I think they also deliver locally. They also have a selection of wines available by the glass and some snacks and sharing food for you to just sit in and have a glass and a bite to eat.

Highbury Vintners: what do users think?

Geoue Khan: A great range of wonderful wines for every taste!

Jay Mambour: Good selection of wines from different regions and spirits. Staff is friendly and always there to help. They always give very nice suggestions to match food/wine.

Sim: Best wine shop in the area! Great selection and very friendly people! Always a pleasure

Malcolm Barton: The particular bottle that I was seeking was available and it was despatched very promptly. Very impressed with the service.

Maggie Speirs: was perfect and amazing gift for any lover of a good malt🙂 easy ordering process and fast delivery. Would highly recommend . Thank you.

Mari Stella: The best wine shop in the area. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Michael L Bellis: I don't know much about wine, so I asked if they could recommend some white wines that would go great with carbonara and a sweet desert, my budget was £20-£30 for each wine. They were patient, explained, and showed me some wines that would be great for either one. Ended up buying 2 wines for a total of £43, and they were absolutely perfect, we loved the flavours - unfortunately, i didn't take a picture of the bottles/makers. I'm not local to Highbury, but there are no wine specialists in my area, I'd happily make the trip again and again for wine recommendations for my next special evenings.

Matthew Finnie: Wow, superb service, 1st class.Def highly recommend these guys.

Oleg Tolstoy: Been in a few times, very helpful and great selection. This is no run of the mill wine shop.

Rhian Bowen: We visited Highbury Vintners for a wine tasting session before deciding on where to purchase the wine for our wedding back in June. Roberto was great and selected a range of wines based on our budget and menu. The tasting process was really enjoyable and Roberto was extremely knowledgeable about the wines. All of the wines were lovely which made it difficult to choose exactly which wines we wanted to choose, however Roberto was really patient with us and gave us time to decide, which was great as we didn't feel any pressure to make a decision straight away. The wine was delivered to the venue on the day of wedding which was great and Highbury Vintners also supplied us with champagne glasses and glass bottled water for the day, which was a massive help given we left that until very close to the wedding day. Our wedding guests were really happy with the wine choices and I would highly recommend Highbury Vintners for the wide selection of wines, efficient and prompt service and really friendly staff.

David Yao: Great local wine shop. Good selection and helpful staff

Joao Monteiro: Great knowledge and advice when searching for particular tastes.

Trish Embley: . Would highly recommend.

Chris Tippett: Don't let its wine shop label fool you, they also have a fantastic range of craft beers that they rotate on a semi-regular basis.

Benjamin Vliegen: They offer a great selection of all sorts of wines, beers, and spirits. Would highly recommend!

Emms O'C: We shopped here all the time when we lived down the road, popped in on our way past for a couple of reds, such good recommendations, makes a massive difference compared to chancing a bottle from your local offi for the same price!

Laura D'Elia: Not sure why so many oddbins have closed down. Great place lots of choice and always very helpful and knowledgeable staff

Steven Dickie: Really weird bins

judde st: Great shop, interesting too.

Timothy Henderson: Best cigars I ever bought!

RISHI TIWARI: Great local shop !

segun Jegede: Good environment

Faisal Khan Lodhi: An oldie and now the only dedicated local place to get your wines, spirits and beers. They also stock speciality beers as are popular these days. If there's a particular craft beer you can't find elsewhere, a call or visit normally gets you what you're looking for, even if there may be a very short wait for the stock to arrive. Staff are helpful and normally quite friendly.

Jeffery Bobbles-Bonbon: Friendly staff with outstanding customer service skills!!

Steve Stanbury: Great wines and brilliant staff. Always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.

Peckham Cellars: what do users think?

Jana Abelovská: Really enjoyed the food which is mostly small sharing plates. The interior is cute and cosy however there is a lot of tables crammed in a small area so might not be as intimate at peak times.🍷Huge selection of wines by glass, caraffe and bottle.⭐️Favourite meals:SourdoughBraised octopusPork ribeye

Viktorija Veilentaite: Peckham Cellars is an absolute gem in SE15 and south London in general… from the moment you walk in you feel welcomed and looked after by incredibly attentive and lovely staff. They make the atmosphere to feel relaxed and buzzing! Food is brilliant, full of flavours and the menu always has some wonderful discoveries! Maybe I’m biased as it’s my local… but what a LOCAL that is!
