Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital: what do users think?
Ken Fairhurst - KFL200: One of the best, highly trained staff, parking can be expensive - £9.00 for over 4 hrs.
N C (NCb2b): Nice and clean quiet hospital compared to the usual manic crowd in NHS hospitals.
Denise Haney: 1st Class start to Finnish! Male nurse Maurice superb knowledge and care second to none ! Couldn't of been better!Best hospital I have ever had surgery at and I have had many!Thankyou for everything LHACOne very happy and reassured patient!Mr Shacklough and team Well Done ?
Jill Leonard: This hospital is excellent from the ground floor workers to consultants. The care is outstanding and staff absolutely amazing. A close relative was admitted to ICU and was extremely poorly within a couple of hours you could see instantly the care was exceptional and the staff were fabWe stayed at the Robert Owen House due to the distant of travel this was superb a huge thankyou to Dawn for your kindness given to myself and sister you are a absolute diamond. We cannot thankyou all enough you make a huge difference to so many lives
Russ Cooper: Great staff very helpful
Andrew Caie: Second time in this hospital this time in maple suite. The staff was exemplary in their dedication and professionalism specially Leanne a bubbly personality that made you feel at ease also at the reception was welcoming and supportive
Happy Grump: Update 22.03.23: no shuttle bus from disabled to main entrance meant I literally nearly killed myself. You've put an outdoor gym in that NOBODY was touching. That land could've had a good few disabled spaces on (many of us need your services because of mobility impact). There's grass areas where that exercise stuff could've gone. First time ever I had to use full seat walker and stop over 5 times. I was a mess before I got through the doors!😡 Clinic was silly overrun, I could've had a phone call and the tests ordered could've been done locally. I was told by him that I NEEDED to be seen by consultant and although the junior Dr was lovely - they ended up having to go spend half hour with him about me - I didn't even see him. Like rest of NHS it's lost the personal touch too. I felt like just a number. Part hospital (no emergency service so keel over and wait for ambulance), part gym, part coffee shop, part building site - just mayhem. That scream screen in outpatients that many weren't noticing - we were chatting to other patients who wanted to shut it up. That waiting room felt like an airport. There're the odd regular faces that really go above and beyond. Couple asked me initially if I was OK - I likely looked like death after that trip.Communication is still a disaster. Bloods were arranged and nobody informed the right people. Sat like a lemon until someone asked what I was waiting for! This awful communication nearly killed my Mum when she had valve replaced there and they were VERY lackadaisical when she went downhill. To the point she crashed and needed emergency intervention (suprised the ward didn't ring 999). LHCH was one of the trusts I visit that I rated highly. But mistakes and non-logical decisions are now overtaking the positives and destroying the experience. I don't think I'd return for face to face unless REALLY necessary. I'd try arranging testing locally. Going out and the new disabled badge scanner for parking 😂 🤣 😭 😂 - just charge us a set fee. Everyone pressed for help. We know how it works but the scanner can't read the badge code in the bright sunlight. Funny how it worked once we all (huge queue) pressed button for help. It was just another disaster experience. I genuinely will do all I can to not physically go near.
Bill Evans: Was difficult to navigate. But think when I go back for second visit I'll be fine. Plenty of refreshment areas. Nice and clean.
Jane Ledbury: Excellent care, professional and empathetic staff at all levels and follow up after discharge is beyond expectation, thanks to all at LHCH.
Nic Waters: Outstanding! I had a 5 day stay on Birch ward in Liverpool heart and chest, and I will always be so grateful for the care & treatment I received here after my multiple cardiac arrests in December 2022. I'm 26 years old, had never had to stay a night in hospital before, equally had never had any surgery or even stitches for that matter, so I was very frightened at first. I had to have an ICD fitted which was very daunting... however all consultants, surgeons, nurses, doctors, chefs, porters, cleaners... every individual there where friendly, informative and reassuring. Nothing was too much to ask, everything was pristine, the food was incredible and they cater for all dietary requirements with plenty of options. I felt very comfortable, safe and assured during my entire time at LHCH. AMAZING!
Pamela Boddy: Had CT scan yesterday 16/1/23 Thank you to all staff that day for there kindness especially Michael.Moor God BlessYou
Angela Price: I would like to say thank you to Dr Ramsdale and team. The Holly Suite staff and all the nurses and secretary who have cared for me so kindly and also the cardiac nurse 's and wish them a safe and happy Christmas.
daveNwendy jones: Nice and quick great staff
Simon: I can't believe ive been given yet another chance, 2nd stemi heart attack in 3 years, and I have L.H and Chest Hospital to thank, and the praise it most definitely deserved. Again I have to say thank you for your outstanding professionalism and excellent compassion. From the porters to the incredible surgical team. I thank you.But a special thank you to the I.C.U and A.C.U team's, including Rachel, Nicky, mandy, Sheena and many more, and a special thanks to Collette for all their compassion and support throughout my short visit.Thank you so much.
James Ashton: Fantastic hospital. They've been supportive, organised and communicative all through my treatment. Please keep up the fantastic work.
John Williams: Really friendly people
Usha Rao: Having worked at LHCH,I know the place is clean, well maintained, staff are helpful polite, long corridors though.superb services
PRATIK J. JASANI: Excellent. The Doctors and other staff members were very helpful and pleasant as well.
Zinky Boy: Saved my Dads life
Black Sea: Paula from appointment line was great. If you are reading this thank you once again. Trying to help. Very professional and helpful which you don’t get this in trust anymore I think last few years care point of you gone down hill as most of consultants see you as number. I remember this trust used to be famous with care and customer service. This lady Paula was great so makes it difference. This trust needs audit more by senior management team.
Allan Jones: Up on Merseyside from Cambridge for a few days sight seeing when I was rushed over to LHCH from the Wirral with a heart attack and given a quad bypass and a new aortic valve.I would like to thank Mr.Andrew Muir and his team all the nurses and staff on Maple wards for their kindness and care they were all wonderful and I can't express my thanks enough
