Tesco Superstore: what do users think?
Emily Kapllani: I very rarely see the need to review supermarkets as they’re all the same, and there’s not much to say about them.HOWEVER - this particular Tesco has got to have one of the most annoyingly inconvenient layouts I’ve ever seen. The shop is split into ‘chilled’ and ‘non-chilled’, with the refrigerated section being downstairs and everything else upstairs. Why you would organise it like this I do not know. In addition to this, despite it being a ‘superstore’, it became quickly apparent they actually don’t sell a lot of the standard items that a Tesco Extra would sell, which was highly irritating. To top it all off, they are stated as having a customer car park on the Tesco website, yet after driving all the way there, we found that this is actually a Q-Park multi-story, whereby you have to pay £2.90 for one hour!Absolutely will not be coming back here, I’d rather drive 20 minutes extra out of my way and go to a proper Tesco or alternative supermarket in future.
henry midtsaeter: Staff for the most part are helpful although one or two including front of store security can be a little intimidating and perhaps almost confrontational which can make the experience not as good as it could've been. Perhaps more training with customer interaction would benefit..?
Sharon: Great customer service from Rob! I went into Tesco this evening for some shopping and couldn't find any soy yoghurt. I asked a member of staff where they were and he was very helpful. Took me to the section, apologised for there being no yoghurt and offered to check the back. He promptly returned with some yoghurt! Thank you
Ramiz Raja: Perfect store for everything
MR MARC KARL CARON: Great
Juan Felipe Molina: I like because has many products
Jim Pearson: Thank you to the amazing staff who helped me rescue my bike from a careless baffoon who accidentally locked her bike to mine outside the shop.
Neil Corey: Always buy my rice here that hasn't gone up by much..
sergio barranco: Just bought a big pack of ribeye but when I paid for it, it was dripping some blood. I asked for something to wrap it up and was given some tower paper or rag to clean it. Not very hygienic and awful customer service.
Andy Ramsay: Big store in the middle of town
Michael Harris: Great produce and a wide range of stuff you'd expect from tesco
Vincent Cassidy: my latest photos are from a elaborate scam from within the ORG tesco scammers mobile 📱 and 02 simply because they took my money and obviously happy dealing with them but guess what ?..it's all my fault don't let your amazing family be upset Christmas 🤶 morning dealing with the same iffy accent when you call unquestionably they took the money 💷 then supprise ⁉️couldn't find it taking my money 💷 when I've got FA and plenty of it and still got it all my fault even though I documented all steps ov the process and tweetys the lot because ain't no secret my life is a open book love every single one of you amazing people xx 🙈😲🤺⚘️give them 5 stars ✨ by mistake reality is minus ➖ 5 💩💩⛔️🤚
Susanne: Good
Neha Sayana: Nice small outlet, limited options. Just there are times they are out of stock for some stuffs. Mixed feeling. As there are time they have the things required.
Louise “LouLou” Whalley: Really helpful staff. Busy place and they're always ready to help.
Paul: No faults just another tesco
Mel Dormer: Got most things i needed today
Khaledmnso82: رائع ويستحق الزيارة
Mike D'Ambrogio: More essentials
Emma Wilson: Handy as it is beside the premier inn and u can get all u need in it
Steven Rigby: The worst tesco I have ever been to in my life. A supposed superstore and at 6pm on a Tuesday they have basically run out of food and what is left is short dated. Either they have nothing in to restock the shelves or they are deliberately leaving them empty in order to shift short dated products. Whichever it is, it’s pathetic

Waitrose & Partners Formby: what do users think?
Callum L Grady: Waitrose Formby is a top-notch grocery store offering a fantastic shopping experience to its customers. The store boasts an elegant and spacious interior with clean, well-arranged aisles that are easy to navigate. The layout also encourages customers to explore and discover new products with plenty of displays and special offers. One of the most impressive aspects of Waitrose is the exceptional quality of its products. The store is committed to sourcing the best ingredients, and this is evident in the fresh fruit and vegetables, premium meats and seafood available. There is also an impressive selection of international and gourmet foods, including artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and baked goods. The staff at Waitrose are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help customers find what they need or make recommendations. The store also offers a convenient online ordering and delivery service which is ideal for those who prefer to shop from home.Overall, Waitrose Formby offers a premium shopping experience that is unmatched by other grocery stores. Its commitment to quality, excellent customer service and convenient online ordering make it a top choice for shoppers in the area.
Ron C: Ok if you want a change from the usual supermarkets, very pricey for most stuff so it's not a place to visit for your weekly shop unless you are minted !
Kevin Morrison: Supermarket in great location ..... with good product choice and a nice coffee shop
Usman Majid: Im a huge fan of Waitrose in general but the way they reduce product on the verge of expiry that will be wasted is absurd. Iv seen items reduced on their last legs last day just before the shop will close and it will be garbaged reduced from £4.00 to £3.90 for example, completely bizarre management. I call it the Waitrose ' Barely reduced range '. They would rather bin it.
Angela Sloan: Nice shop although a bit expensive
Lyndhurst: 3.45p.m. Sunday. Quiet. Only one in front at tills. Not all tills in use however. Newspapers to your right. No Guardian newspaper again. Not too many empty spaces on the shelves. Lots of offers across various ranges. Booth arrangement in Cafe. Perhaps not what it was once. Sadly old enough to remember when the store opened. Overall some excellent produce but whenever I visit the Mediterranean vegetables are all sold out. The cheaper version is horrid but the more expensive bag at £4 is much nicer with what looks like Roscoff onion inside. A substitute frozen veg choice is the Asian bag of veg.
Paddy Moore: Very expensive and is no better than other supermarkets.
mike nazz: Good choice good value
Samantha Rimmer: Good wheelchair access which is a must these days. Good stock, clean store
Geoff Jones: Excellent products. Friendly and helpful staff.
Patsy Dong: My favourite super market super fresh and lots of verity cafe is a treat 😋
Martyn Walkden: Nice clean shop, helpful staff even though they didn't have any Dubonnet
Jeremy Atkinson: 4th February not a good day to shop here. The rank smell from the fish counter assaulted my nostrils and lingered through my trolley dash in the store. Apart from that, this is usually a good example of a Waitrose & Partners with high prices and friendly staff. It has a large car park and provides easy access to other shops in the area.
Peter C: Usual quality Waitrose visit. Forgot my coffee mug 😮
Joseph Chialton: I think Waitrose have a big problem with parking facilities! I joined the back of a queue of cars waiting to get into the car park. My first thought was that Waitrose was busy. However, I did notice a lot of people entering the car park with shopping bags of shopping (not shopping from Waitrose) and people leaving the car park with empt shopping bags. I had to circle the car again to find a space . Inside Waitrose I thought it would have been very busy but it was relatively quiet in comparison to the number of cars in the car park.Surely other shoppers have noticed that Waitrose car park is used for the whole of Formby Town shopping centre!! I don't have any complaints with Waitrose shopping, only the parking spaces taken up for non Waitrose shopping. That's why I gave it three stars
Mike Gilford: Always a delight to shop here. Friendly staff. Clean store. Thank you Waitrose Formby.
Janet Yeung: Fantastic selection of quality ingredients, although you will pay accordingly.
Clare Grogan: Great shopping experience as always
Philip Robinson: Waitrose Formby, we'll stocked supermarket in a nice little village with a good selection of other shops.
Anthony Lowe: Mythology suggests this is full of posh people with loads of money. It's not.
Neil Lewin: Easy

Tesco Superstore: what do users think?
Patricia Moffitt: Club card bargains shelves well-stocked
Judith Hughes: First time been to this store, it was clean, well kept and staff were friendly
Tim Reddy: 👍
Ramindu Thivanka Jayasuriya: It's a great store with great options. Easy to shop, vast range of food items for very reasonable price.Spacious car park, and multiple ways to pay and check out to save your time
Pamela Hickson: Went to tesco today to get a cooked chicken for later to be told they have stopped doing them but could not tell me why I always thought they were very popular.
Pina Giovanni: Parking on site is available, kitchen appliances, men/women/kids clothes also available in here- overall you can find everything in one place- but little pricey -
carol wilson: There products are good and cheaper than others and there is more variety.
Gregor: Headless chickens . I have gone to that Tesco on two occasions this year only because the supermarket 'A' from across the junction don't sell whisky in small bottles. Both times the staff at the self service tried to make me feel guilty because the receipt hadn't been printed, I explained that nothing had come out, they were still suspicious.... so was made to wait awkwardly for them to figure out that the paper had jammed hence nothing had been produced. The most obvious thing and caused so much brainwork :D So much hassle at tesco to buy % only because the staff aren't trained.... Very strange experience.
Stephen McShane: A big thank you to Diane on the check out very helpful friendly and patient with me today 5 stars from me a asset to Tesco keep it up.
El maho Patrizo: On January 31, me and my girlfriend did a little shopping at a tesco branch. We were exposed to the racist attitudes of the woman working at the cash register. When it was my turn, even though I said hello, I didn't get any answer. It really bothered me that she looked at me like an enemy. When I handed the amount for my shopping to the woman in charge, she said in a rude way that you cannot pay me like this. When I asked her why, she told me that I had to collect the coins one by one. Then I refused to accept it and paid by card. Is the coin payment method invalid when I shop at Tesco? Now I am asking you, when I make a purchase at any tesco branch, when I extend the money for payment, do I have to separate all the money and give them one by one or do I have to hand the money to the person in charge. If so, what is the job of the cashier? helping the customer, answering questions about shopping and helping? Who should do these? If she is not satisfied with this job, she can find another job. I am sharing the receipt of my purchase with you in the attachment. I wanted to complain to you about this bad experience I had. because when I shop at tesco, I pay my money and get a service. not to be exposed to the ridiculous racist behavior of employees!!!
paul sebastiyampillai: Good to vist tesco .
Alan Leyland: Always have what I need it was very busy though.
Sommer Kayne: I went to tesco today and got some green seedless grapes. I came home opened the grapes and there was seeds in them. This doesn't normally happen as I was very shocked when I discovered they had seeds in
Kerry Pritchard: Visit here regularly as it’s my local store. Shop is always clean and tidy, staff always friendly and there to help when needed despite it being busy. Can always find what I’m looking for as there is a good range of stock. The ladies who work in the cafe are really lovely too. 😊Update: 23/12/22Click and collect need more bays Available especially Christmas time was driving around in circles until someone left bit of a shambles when the car park is already rammed.
ralph christopher: Grate it always is
Alan “Embo” emberton: I don't use tesco very often' out of all the big supermarkets tesco proffess to be cheap and helpful but there prices are extortionate and the highest' I can live without tesco comfortably thank you.
Sarah Tyrer: What has happened to the pharmacy. I have my script sent over from my surgery. Order on the Friday usually there by Monday but always pick up Tuesday/Wednesday to allow for any holdups. Whatever day I go in, it’s usually ‘ready in 15 mins’. Not a problem as I can do my shopping first. Lately, it’s still not ready after 15mins. Last Wednesday was told the usual 15mins. Was in a bit of a rush and walked out without it. Went back in Friday and was told it would be an hour… explained, politely, that I was told Wednesday it would be 15mins. Girl just shrugged her shoulders and said I could go somewhere else. Every time I see people go in to collect a script, I hear 15mins, 20mins, now it’s an hour. What has happened. There are still the same amount of staff there and it’s not as if it’s like years ago when the chemist used to make the medicines and tablets and then physically count them into the bottles. Everything is pre packed. What is happening.
Vivianne Carvalho: Large as a superstore should be with lots of variety. The carpark is a bit tight, but lots of spaces.
Rachel Foreman: Jenny in the clothes department was a massive help to me this week! Needed a dress in a different size and she went to check for me. I was stressed and service with a smile always helps massively! Tesco, you have a great member of staff!
chris J: Large store nice wide aisles
MrMichaeldunne: Found everything under one roof and then was able to get a taxi straight away on leaving the store.

Waitrose & Partners Chester: what do users think?
janet naughton: Prices high not very good frozen sections cashier very pleasant
Marcos Lorenzo: A very bad place, they treated to cheat us with the price of the things because we are from Spain. I suggest not buying in this supermarket
Gerry Rivers: More stock in trolleys than on shelves, waiting to be reduced even chilled food
Paul Bassett: £27 for 4 sandwiches, some drinks and some crisps. Good quality but I wish there had been an Aldi there instead.
Paul Devivo: Amazing Waitrose store, typically high end every thing.... Including "Waitrose Essential Fresh Oysters" (fish finger sandwich , anytime!) It's not cheap, but if you shop here you'll know that. You get quality.... It's the old saying "you pays your money, to take your choice!"Ps... Aldi further up the road!
Angela Mills: Case of wine left off my delivery by accident had a phone call within 30 mins, had wine delivered 90 mins later. Mistakes happen, it’s how they’re rectified that’s important. Excellent customer service from Waitrose Chester, my barbecue can go ahead. Thank you very much
Peter Snelson: Good quality but on the expensive side of retail.
Matt Jones: Like a supermarket but way nicer! Never too busy and the staff are always friendly
Dororthy Worman: Just been diagnosed gluten free so visited today to see what was on offer. Quite a good selection and I bought a few items
Penny Lloyd: Great store, excellent parking, wide food choice, and comparatively priced, however some checkout staff left a lot to be desired, the particular older lady who served me was rude and unhelpful, and totally spoilt what until that point, had been an enjoyable experience - customer service is everything.
jane p: The store staff are pleasant and the food choices excellent. however the vegetables in particular the organic green veg are perishing before their sell by date and need refrigeration.
jane: Staff are always very helpful and the till service still good and accessible . It looses point for rotting Organic veg not refrigerated these are unsprayed perishables mostly green, with little or no nutritional value. Duchy Organic products are farmed using sustainable method. Sales from Waitrose Duchy Organic provide a donation to The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund. This is important part of the service at Waitrose, sadly its creating food waste even if its higher management there must be some accountability
Peter Hindley: Lots of covered parking in torrential rain. Very friendly staff, especially Lorna on tills. Lots of lovely products. Very happy visit. Not my usual shopping destination. Very quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Busy sunny Saturday afternoon & I'm back again.
Dave Carlisle: Glorious yellow ticket bargains to be had!!
Anne Chadwick: Love this shop..great wine/food. Love treating myself here. Staff always so helpful...have ordered wine here on click & collect & always delivered on time...all the 12 bottles were the biz & great to treat yourself.
Gwyn Bartley: Easy shopping
Graham Mclean: Waitrose where the reductions are same as full price everywhere else!!Still excorbitantly expensive since my last visit, more so, guess it keeps the riff raff away.
Michael O: Never any baskets by canal side entrance and an abundance the other side.
Nigel Connor: Got everything we wanted staff helpful and friendly.
Donna Bennett: Thank you to Sophie fabulous lady 🙂
Rob Gillingwater: Relaxing and enjoyable food shopping unlike other stores. Huge range of quality food, beverages and drinks, not least a great wine selection, cakes and fresh baked bread.. Always new products to try but the most noticeable part is how helpful and friendly the staff are. Nothing seems too much trouble. Always a pleasure

Tesco Superstore: what do users think?
Stuart Urban: A member of staff was very rude to me when the self checkout till kept saying there was a problem with my card and I tried a different till. "Are you going to pay? You need to read the instructions!" he said without offering any help. He needs to find a new career.
Yazee Yazz: Poor service 18/06/2023
Aaron Wilson: What a shame about Jack's. Now it's just another expensive tesco.
rachel williams: Was better when it was jacks, staff always seem busy, but always problems at self service tills, only one staffed till open if your lucky, could be a good store but lacks the range of stock tesco superstores have.
Maria C: Staff deserve a pay rise and customers deserve lower prices.Time for Tesco to allow profits to “ trickle down “ lol.Shape up or ship out!
Seán McDonald: I was happy to find it has a coffee machine. But one time I asked if they could get some cups and it took then about ten minutes. Every time I go in now, the machine never has large cups so I walk back out again. There's isn't point in them having it if they don't maintain it
Richard Newberry: Has the potential to be so much better. This is not a Tesco Extra so doesn't have a full range of stock but it's still pretty good. Main issue is the lack of staff, no one operating checkouts and no one available at the self service checkouts. If like me, there's always an issue so you stand around waiting for someone to come over to assist.
jason john Nolan: Useful
ARCHDEACON: A nice clean and well outlayed supermarket with great offers especially the stockwell brand which is very fair price for the quality you receive
Stacey McDonald: Not enough tills and always busy!
Milly White: Worst Tesco I’ve ever had the displeasure of entering, staff wear joggers and mountain climbing gear and have a till open every 5 working days. Self checkouts have a traffic jam all the way back to Crewe, don’t go if you don’t have a week to spare. Overpriced, understaffed and a complete waste of land.
Jayne Evason: Only been in couple of times quite expensive but does have some good deals with the use of club card
Sue Flanagan: Opening hours need updating. Google says 10-4. People waiting on Sunday at 10 but Tesco sign says 11-5!!!!!
James: This store is the physical embodiment of the slow but steady decline of the west
Ankith Prabhu: Very much open and quite a huge tesco :)
Eben Roberts-Jones: Normally only one till and one self-checkout open, even when it’s busy and queues go down the aisles. Absolute joke.
Andy Wu: "Superstore"
Paul Mccann: The worst store in the UK
SAI GORE: Worst customer servicePeople working here are so rude
HassanPoyo: Bring back Jack’s
Lilith Capps: Jack's quality, Tesco prices.

Tesco Superstore: what do users think?
stephen roberts: Great little store
Peter C: Scan and shop without random bag check 👍
Al: Lots of choice and using club card save lots of cash
Shelagh Dobson: It was good cos they have self service now for trolley shopping 🛒
Stephanie Fraser: Well stocked, busy.
S D: Reasonable selection, good stock. Well kept. Good staff
Michele G: What is going on in Tesco Formby! The lack of stock is unbelievable for such a big store. Last weekend not a cucumber to be seen, this weekend no cucumbers no tomatoes no peppers on Saturday! Going to have to start shopping somewhere else.
Martin LEE: Good produce and club card bargins
Don Keys: Everything you need in one place
Mike Gilford: Always a pleasure shopping here. Plenty of stock and friendly staff. Check outs can get busy and long.
David David: Stovk levels are quite low after Christmas, especially cold and flu medication.
Terence Davis: Great place to shop for all types of food, clothing and has a Costa coffee shop inside plenty of Christmas presents to buy
jonathan risley: Same as always
Frank Lennon: Had everything I wanted all at reasonable prices.
Steven Spencer: Large store can get quite busy but a large selection of goods
steve austin: Large car park.on site petrol station.Above average store.
Chris Hindley: Some items missing.I generally like Tescos own brand.jars r often small+ dearerlove the custard donutd but not had them for a week or two.Clothing gòod but limited
S2E: Been on multiple occasions during the week, after 10pm, only to find the store was closed before midnight...it's supposed to be open until midnight.
Lyndhurst: Stopped for a few essentials. Classical music playing inside. Wide range of Belazu jars. Great!
Matthew Brown: The Tesco mobile store has horrible service. Stood for about 20-30 mins. Only one member of staff operating the desk and offering advice. The other person thought their shift began at 11 so consequently customers were popping in and leaving when they couldn't get served. Suspect they need to look at their staffing.
Nick Darlow: I recently had a phone upgrade from Tesco Formby. Everything was explained and all info was transferred to the new phone. The staff in the phone shop, Louis and Georgia, were very patient and thorough. They make shopping a pleasure 🙂
