R M (Robbi): I brought my little one to a birthday party. Have to say the soft play was great. Wasn't expecting that the food would be served in a separate area which was lovely by the way. The food was party food, hotdogs, fries and nuggets but very nicely set up. They had individual ice cream tubs too. Lovely hostess and great party bags. Fabulous experience for all.Kid-friendliness: It's set up for children to enjoyParking: No issues at the time of day I went, nice big spaceWheelchair accessibility: There is great access

Dawn Howard: Lovely atmosphere great place to watch the match and good foodOr today ,lack of wine
eilish eagers: In Leicester for our last nightThere was approximately 14 of us we were there for dinner nice n tasty compliments to the chef
Robert Wainwright: Great place for food and drink in a friendly.
Bosky Bill: The pub was empty when I visit, even it is next to university, there was no students and peopleThe good thing is they have Brixton drinks Price are £6, which is bit too pricey.I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I don’t feel going there again. There a student next to this pub.Not very much recommended 🙏
Mjr Cox: Heard a lot about the history of this pub (recent history like the polar bear) and its... Ok serves a couple of ales of decent quality and decent food, very much a wetherspoon model adopted by local pub vibe.
Matt Reid: Edge of town boozer, multiple screens for sports fans, 3 ales available, a rather tired interior, needs a bit of TLC.
John Bott: Never have I been in this established, on this day I was close enough, I entered, drank and lunched to great satisfaction.
Rhian Adams: Went on Friday lunch. The staff must have been stocking up for the weekend as they kept disappearing for ages. It was hard to get served. The food menu was quite limited but it was nice enough.
Chloe Day: Staff are always brilliant
Freddie Smith: Gutted this place is closed. Loved it
And Scar: I have just returned to the office at the DMU, after having lunch at the pub. I will certainly not return to this place again due to the poor service and low quality food I was served. To begin, I ordered a full day English breakfast. The waitress said that there were no hash browns and that she would have replaced them with fries. I said yes and, after waiting for a while, I got served a breakfast with neither fries nor hash browns. The bread (a slice of toast sliced in two parts) was overcooked and so were the sausages (dry and tasteless). The mushrooms were not fresh and the fried eggs were not cooked properly. The beacon was overcooked too. Food was blatantly cooked in a rush, and served with no attention to detail whatsoever.Lastly, the waitress did not even stop me for a second to check if I was happy with the food or if I needed anything.Overall, in hindsight, I would have avoided stopping here to have lunch and bought a sandwich to the nearby Tesco or student union. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
Craig Wheatley: Ok staff where friendly....but the facilities where not up to scratch all the urinals where flooding over ....
D_ RPG: Great pub, mixed customers from locals, students and sports fans. Proper old pub with modern outside seating areas with screens for sport.
jonlcfc1: Tremendous. Nice beers and outdoor seating area. The outdoor TVs are a bonus. Quality pizza also.
Robert Sharman: Roomy sized traditional pub ideal for a pre match pint
Nigel Griffiths: Decent pub. Used to be a haunt over 30yrs whilst at Poly.
David hale: Great pub atmosphere, with a wide range of classic pub foods at a cheap pub price.
DXX MXX: Yes good. Limited menu on a Monday as deliveries on a Tuesday.Quality not bad at all.

Holly Colwell: love loaded dog, best drinks and vibes, shout out to clodagh for the great service.
Abigail Waring: Banging
Raphael H.: We visited recently with a group of friends (and dogs) to have a few drinks and something to eat. The staff were great and brought out some water bowls and helped us move two tables together. The tables were regularly cleared and orders arrived quickly. The only let down of the evening was that nothing marked vegan on the menu was actually available so we had to end up bringing in some pizza from the Dominos up the road.
Kieran Todd: Mus and Elle were brilliant behind the bar and quick to attend to me when I needed a drink, was watching the football, west ham v Leeds and just got a really chilled vibe, will be visiting again
Anna Chevalier: best student pub in leicester! clo was especially kind and helpful!!

Richard Swain: Great pub with plenty of original features and good selection of ales and beers. Food good too.
Sam Morris: omg amazing danny is the goat
Caroline Fucci: This is a nice pub with good food options. It is a bit more expensive than other pubs in the city but the atmosphere is great and decent service.
Nigel Guy: Oldest pub in Leicester so it has a great atmosphere! Go have a drink there! nice to sit outside in the sun and take in the local wildlife
NickMagicCharles MF: the pub in Leicester
Utku Turgut: Nice pub but a little expensive compared to similar places around.Staff is friendly. Not easy to find a seat at peak hours.
Scottie Bainbridge: Nice Pub, Nice food
Kaptain Guzzy: Cosy, oldish-looking pub. Friendly staff and relaxed, 'villagey' atmosphere in the centre of Leicester. Stone floors and lots of warm wood give it character.
Andrew Addison: Changed with the times, but in my view not necessarily for the best.
Sam Lesniak: Lovely quaint city pub, wish we'd had time to eat
Julian Worker: The best pub in Leicester in my opinion and it's also mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide to England. There were at least 10 ales on the last time I was there in March after the Fulham game and I tried two of them. I must spend longer in Leicester! The food was fine and I was happy about the prices. This pub is close to the Richard III Centre and the cathedral. The pub is now a cashless business and offer vegan pot pies.

Despite being in a group of 25, they provided food very efficiently and promptly. The bar staff including joe, were exceptionally helpful and kind to all of us. If you’re looking for high end pub food, this is the best place to go. Cannot rate these guys any higher!

Can't beat it here for a full on roast 😋Parking: The carpark is tiny and never spaces for patrons but opposite is parking on the rd and it's free on Sundays for as long as you want. During the week it's limited.
Matt Reid: Brilliant Everard's community pub, a ten min walk from Leicester rail station, a range of Everard's beers, plus several guest ales on the bar, large interior is complemented by a small drinking area facing the road, and a huge beer garden out the back, not to be missed.
Ian Hunter: Good food and drinks only drawback was the amount of smoking outside and a lot of that was weed openly smoked all of the outside it's something that you do not need when out relaxingFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Andrea Brewin: The carvery has a great section but was Luke warm when we had it and also took a while to be served.Lovely place, decor is great with lots of different memorabilia. The reason for my review being only I can't give a 5* is because the food wasn't very warm and when I tried to explain to the manager or whoever it was in an email , that i had been given a parking charge for parking in the car park , they wern't interested in helping me out by getting InTouch with the company that's trying to fine me. Said it had been in place for a few years so nothing they can do. For one it's irrelevant how long it's been that way when you're a new customer and also I don't buy that that a manager could have a word and sort it out with the proof of the amount spent from my bank statement. It's a shame , I really like it here but seems they don't value their customers enough.
Shiv99: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More

The Marquis Wellington - Pub & Kitchen: what do users think?
Nayan Dave: I used to go here regularly, but over the years, I haven't been able to go. However, it's nice to see that both beers and food are lots better, in my opinion. I tried a pint of Blue Moon, and I'm happy to experience it as it goes down nicely and with it's flavour, made it thoroughly enjoyable but as its over 5% vol, I could only have 2 pints. Also, a mouth watering, plate of fish and chips was thoroughly enjoyable within the spacious restaurant inside and a lovely beer garden to complete our visit on a hot day. Please check which options they have for vegetarians as, unfortunately, I didn't look at the menu.Vegetarian options: I would point out their website for a more detailed look into their vegetarian and desert menue.Wheelchair accessibility: I am unsure whether wheelchair users will have access here, but you should find information on their website.
Mark Masih: Had a group of 24 which the staff did an amazing job catering for, so a big thank you to all the team ! The food was delicious and everyone had a great time.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fish and Chips …More
Lewis Turnbull: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Charles Lunt: Local ales and good food really fitted the bill for what we wanted.
Jessica E: I've eaten here a few times over the last few years and am always impressed. It's a standard pub food menu, with some good vegetarian and vegan options, made with love. Tonight we had pie, chips and greens (perfectly cooked, I might add) and a burger. Both were very good and reasonably priced.Decent size beer garden as well as a good amount of indoor seating.Card only - order and pay at the bar with your table number.Service is friendly and welcoming and I noticed some ladies (as well as gents) sitting alone, so it's clear that people feel comfortable here.
Guy Hornsby: Really nice local pub with good beers and food. We went here before a Tigers game and it was perfect for the occasion.
dean thorpe: Great pub, traditional in decor, large but cosy inside. Nice outdoor area, and the food is spot on, good selection of beers wins and spirits, staff are great to, ✌️
BYGON SELECTOR: What a lovely pub to go to with great staff and an amazing chef food was so nice recommend having the steak cooked to perfection will definitely be going back for more
Phil Giles: Fab find. Delicious beers, friendly staff and lovely food.
Sergey Sosnovskikh: Good beer, good food and vibe. You can meet young professionals there too, which seems rare for Leicester, lol
Graeme Chessum: Refuses to accept cash
Sima Mistry: Good food and service. Great selection of items to eat. Will definitely visit again
Helen Kirby: Very nice but unfortunately too busy to get a meal, obviously not the pubs fault, we just couldn't eat but drinks were nice xxx
Rob Moran: No cash accepted
andrew bradley: Saw that this was no 1 on trip advisor for Sunday roasts......fully deserved, the food was superb.
Steve Kent: Booked a table for dinner early evening prior to a concert at demontford. The noise levels and behaviour from a large party was simply unacceptable. We complained along with several others. Nothing was done, so we left and went elsewhere. Won't be going back.
lynda rycraft: Lovely early dinner the food was great a def revisit on the cards and delicious cocktails too
Paul Dinsdale: Late notice Sunday lunch with some of the family 😁👍. Recommended by the younger branch of the Leicester arm.Not sure if the whole of the menu is as good, but the belly pork was excellent. Among the best I've ever tasted. Service was very good for a busy pub type restaurant, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and the pub itself had a nice atmosphere.Highly recommended 👌 👍
Sandra Sadler: Lovely place and good food. Would visit again for sure
David Coltman: Excellent and very clean loverly atmosphere
Tj Jones: Absolutely outstanding roast dinner and great selection of beers too!
