Z C: I saw Aleena Ehsan this morning to have a look at my teeth. I did tell her that I was previously with Asmaa and wasn't able to book an existing appointment because this wasn't a feature available on the online booking system. I told her that I only had concerns about two teeth, she looked in my mouth and told me that I had decay in other teeth which took me aback. I had a recent visit at another dental practice that did full X rays and a full checkup of all my teeth and only pointed out the two issues were my second two molars from the back and was told exactly the same by Asmaa in 2021. She didn't do a thorough examination nor a full X ray and was unscrupulous. She proceeded to show me my X ray, which only showed the second two molars in question. She failed to show me the other three molars she claimed had decayed. She could not tell the difference between the right and left side of my X rays and I had to point this out to her. I am utterly disgusted by her lack of professionalism. I'm 32 years old and she was incredibly patronising and treated me like a child. I challenged her on her findings and told her that I would promptly get a second opinion. Not to mention, I don't understand how this surgery manages to justify charging £45.00 for antibiotics when you can get them for £9.99 from your pharmacy or another dentist. I saw another dentist this evening and he told me that the other teeth were fine and had no issues, gave me antibiotics for only £9.99 and said only my two second molars were of concern. This is nothing personal, but a true account of what had happened. She charged me £55 for a basic check up, no probing of other teeth, checking of gums, she didn't even call out the teeth numbers. She told me that the X rays would be £15 each, but then charged me £38.00. The Maths doesn't quite add up. I would stay away, there may be good dentists at this practice but she seemed very nonchalant about the concerns I raised. Make sure as per your GDPR rights you request your X rays and dental history and get a second opinion. This company's ethos seems like it is based on money rather than taking care of their patients. I spent the rest of my day suffering from anxiety because of her only to have my fears allayed by another dentist in the evening.
