Nehal Soni: Carpet and stairs we’re great. Not so great experience with the Amtico floor and customer service.Some issues with orders in that enough vinyl flooring was not ordered and carpet was incorrectly ordered such that patterns did not line up. This did cause some delays but was offered some discount on a new order.Post installation after a year had some issues with staples pushing up causing cracks/marks in the flooring. Those were replaced promptly.Worth pointing out we did have an issue with a "curve" in the middle of the room, and that fix was not made due to significant rework required. We are talking about thousands of pounds in flooring. It should not happen.Was told by Michael John customer service that issues like this are expected with Amtico installations due to minor imperfections and/or movement of sub-flooring. I was informed by several fitters that preparation should account for this though. This was not mentioned before purchase, I felt it should have been since the significant sums involved.Used a amtico approved fitter in North Wiltshire Hinckley and the quality of installation and customer service was far superior. They use a highly experienced fitter Simon Ison, who's work and expertise in this area is second to none. So much more time on getting the prep right, feathering was done (not done with Michael John to save time probably) and there were no large gaps between tiles and no staples coming through. It’s clear that Michael John took short cuts.Are awaiting Amtico and Michael John to get back to me regarding this. It’s been nearly 5 months now and not heard from anyone.

They carried out a fitting visit to ensure the correct amount of material was ordered and offered guidance on the flooring choices available. The co-ordination and communication from the Sales team was fantastic and they walk you through each step of the way.The date of fitting was accommodated to suit our availability and plenty of time was allocated for the works (we had the whole house completed).We are over the moon with the installation and absolutely love the flooring/colours we have chosen. It can be difficult to choose flooring so we headed to Oadby House to view some bigger samples, which is well worth it if local enough.The fitters were professional, reliable and super friendly. They are committed to completing the works to a 5-star finish.We couldn’t be happier with our finished flooring (Amtico & Carpet) and would recommend Michael John Flooring every time. Thank you!
