Daiyaan Rasul: 10/10 Barbering Academy. If you want to learn how to cut hair this is 100% the spot. I drove 3 hours just to come here every week and it was definitely worth the time. Learn everything from scissor work to skin fades and working with real clients. Amazing place to kick start your career in barbering. Made me barbershop ready in 10 weeks.

Toseef Anjam: I originally chose to join the academy for the 5 week barbering course, simply because of the price as it is by far cheaper than many other courses offered around the nation and that it also gave you a city and guilds accredited qualification. I also chose it as it was local for me, I am not from Leicester myself but it’s only a 50 minute drive which was massively convenient.Regardless of these factors, I massively enjoyed the course and quite gutted to finish. The time has really flown. I remember when I first started the course I was unable to hold a pair of scissors or flick out the guideline when fading with clippers. I’m now capable of doing this thanks to the support and guidance of Vin, who is a an amazing individual as well as a teacher. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does and how he’s open to spread to knowledge to us new and upcoming barbers.As I grew in confidence I personally felt I was employed in a barbershop cutting the public’s hair during our practical assessments.I will forever be grateful for the help and support from the team at the academy. Regis: Worst haircut I’ve received in my 20 years of living, ruined my life to be completely honest don’t wanna leave the house or do anything. The haircut was done by “Dugz” who I don’t think is a student. One haircut has undone years of growing out my hair and also lost me my job because I’m not going to leave my room.
Annerz (Rip): If I could give this a hundred stars it still wouldn’t be enough. Whilst their primary goal is to educate you, their ability to instil confidence and self belief is a very close second! Raj and Vin just have that je ne sais quoi when it comes to teaching, delivering each module clearly and concisely, taking time to make sure everything is fully understood with a willingness to recap on any areas that need more focus. But more than all of that, they simply just care… about your learning, your health, your family, YOU! I struck gold when I chose to enrol on this course.

He never let you walk out the doors at the end of the day without feeling like you’ve not achieved something. Always willing to help outside course days and provides advice on what tools to get. If you're ever unsure about anything he slows down to your level of learning and doesn't move on until you've understood. He's always there to support you during and after your course.Also the positive vibe of the whole workplace is something to look forward too, nothing but smiles and positivity, I'd definately recommend vinny to anyone who's interested in kickstarting a barbering a career, or a haircut.

T B: I'm not sure what this place is like as far as cutting hair goes - however, please avoid as a work experience option at secondary school. The staff seemed to just gather around in the staff room and gossip about their own clients, and make hurtful comments about students, who are literal children, on their work experience. As a 14 year old work experience student at the time, it was demoralising to be surrounded by adult bullies. For that reason, I'd encourage schools to remove this place as a work experience option.
