Julian Worker: This is a nice hotel and it wasn't as warm as the first time I stayed. The breakfasts are really filling and the only thing I would say is that it's a slightly noisy location due to the party-goers that go along New Walk on Friday and Saturday nights. The last time I stayed here I received a free room upgrade to a room far away from New Walk.Walkability: Located on New Walk so you can walk into the city centre in 7 minutes. The train station is about 5 minute's walk.

Lucia Sargeant: My (now) husband and I, chose The Belmont for our wedding reception a month ago and I can honestly say that The Belmont staff really made our day, the best! Nothing was an issue when planning our wedding and Sian was absolutely wonderful. She was quick to respond to all my questions and queries and myself and my other half, both felt so comfortable with her, as if we were talking to a friend. On the day, the team was incredible. Attentive, friendly, with nothing ever being an issue. Lovely food and atmosphere! We didn't want our day to end. We wish we could have stayed in our room for longer - the bedroom was beautiful, unique and clean. We highly recommend The Belmont for anyone wanting to go, whether it be for breakfast, a special occasion or for their own wedding. Our friends and family really loved it too and made a lot of lovely comments about the hotel. Thank you so so much - words cannot explain what you all did for us on our special day. The hotel generally has a lovely homely feel; deceptively so as it's actually not a small hotel. It's a different World from the big chains, but has all they offer with a sprinkling of individuality - I'd happily stay on Business trips too.The whole hotel (inc public areas) was a little on the warm side however, and this in April. The heating wasn't on; so I guess they just built things better years ago... Natalie Gash: Ya great stay. Aircon was a wonderful thing during these hot summer days. The bed was lovely. We did have an exec suite so it was larger than most probably and did come with complimentary bar fridge drinks & mini-wines.Staff were excellent upon entry also.Great holiday inn experience.

Helsteeds: Service Great, Room clean, view was awful / looking straight into peoples homes and gardens and having them look back. Bed wise I requested Queen size but to be honest I'd call it a standard double, but can't grumble as I paid the same price. Pillows were a bit harder than I liked. Breakfast was good and Service was especially good for that.

Neil Roberts: Lovely place, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were welcoming and very helpful. No lifts but it only has two levels so two small flights of stairs was no hardship even after a few drinks. The bar area is well laid out and the in-house restaurant serves a good variety of food. Ample parking and dog friendly though a deposit can be taken but is refundable at the end of your stay as long as no damage is done to the room.I'll stay again.

Julia Robson: Usually really like holiday inns but this one really lets the chain down. The only good things were the lift and free parking( but you must sign in for the latter) . Reception was average except when I asked for extra pillows( not normally an issue) he said we are pretty full so unlikely. If I find 1 I will bring it along. I got the impression he wasn't bothered and wasn't even going to check. The shower was dreadful. Disabled access but grout was mouldy and curtain covered 1 side only so whole floor got wet. There was also a leak from the toilet? Cistern. As the floor was constantly wet. We had to use bath mat and hand towel so using toilet didn't give you wet feet. Breakfast was classic HI except no porridge. Would never use this one again . Right next to king power stadium thankfully it was not a match night

Paul Swift: Our visit was part of a coach tour. Room was clean and tidy. The evening meal we were given as part of the tour was disappointing, cheap and flavourless. The breakfast was a little better, minus the scrambled eggs which were the worst I've had in a long time. Though probably great for match days, I didn't like the location. Directly opposite the King Power Stadium, it was in the middle of nowhere, it was a 12 minute walk to the nearest pub or a taxi journey.

Jenny Reeves: Going in the car park is a little confusing I thought I was going in Leicester cities ground. Staff have more than one job like all hotels these days. But they were trying their best. My appointment was at Leicester royal infirmary the next day this hotel was the perfect location, breakfast was help yourself and eat as much as you want. Room was cleanish, staff was nice. Loose tile on bathroom floor with silver fish, TV had a line in the screen. Kettle didn't turn off on its own. Nothing major.
Tristan Good: I only stayed there one night, so it may have just been a bad coincidence, but I've never had a worse night's sleep.Banging, shouting and arguing in the corridors all night. Still going at 0500 when I gave up trying to sleep. I then decided to not bother with breakfast when another crowd was mouthing off in reception. I checked out and drove home. I couldn't wait to leave the place.I never want to see or hear of this hotel again. It was loud, poorly controlled and didn't feel remotely safe.

Secret Squirrel: Stayed a few times for business. Sadly this occasion it coincided with a leicester home match. Was not made aware at any time by reception and ended up queuing for over an hour after work just to get back in to the hotel as they blocked all the entrances. When I mentioned it to the receptionist she said they are not linked with the stadium and therefore would not notify guests about match days - I suggested that as this would mean guests cannot get in or out the carpark I would suggest they do as it has made me never want to stay again.A simple sign or comment when checking in would have made this stay so much better but it seems they are not worried about repeat business customers.
