dreamcars4you: 'Delighted' is the word I want to use.Not only was the room spacious, but it was extremely clean. Breakfast had a great selection of foods. The service was FIRST CLASS. I have to say, I travel international and this is the best service I have had in years! Big thank you to one individual, 'Kornelia' she was always so helpful, cheerful ! Thank you to you all. We will be back! David Dawkins..
James Bond: First class service that left me shaken but not stirred.I booked a stay at the Holiday Inn Leicester online between Thursday 1st June checking out on Saturday 3rd June 2023. I was on a property course with the Real life group run by Mark Harvey. A few days before my stay I found, to my horror, that the trains were not running on the way back on Saturday. Being a mathematical freak I worked out mathematically that it was cheaper to stay overnight for another night than it was to drive to Leicester and park my car in a car park. I did just that.I then phoned up the hotel This very helpful man called Shane picked up the phone.I told him that I had two bookings. One from Thursday 1st June to Saturday 3rd June and one from Saturday 3rd June to Sunday 4th June. I asked if I could merge them so I was in the same room. He asked what my name was I said “The name is Bond, James Bond.” It turned out he is a big Bond fan and he saw on the system that the name was genuine so he merged the bookings. He did ask that when I came to the hotel that I come to reception when he came on duty at 10:30 pm so he could meet the real James Bond! We had a big laugh over it!I checked in on Thursday 1st June. A very pleasant lady called Sarah checked me in with a minimum of fuss. It was so funny when I said “the name is Bond, James Bond.” I showed her my driving license and she laughed. Claire was also on reception who had a bit of a giggle as well.I then went to my room and to be polite it was clean. It was a room fit for Buckingham Palace.I then decided to get my evening meal at the hotel restaurant. I was served by this very pleasant lady called Devika – I think that’s her name but I may be wrong. She was so nice. This lady was the elite of all servers. I ordered the chilli penne. That was a meal fit for a king. The chef must have been Italian because only an Italian can cook an Italian dish as well as that! all servers. I also ordered chocolate sponge afterwards. That desert was also a meal fit for a king. After my meal I went to reception around 1030 pm and asked them to call Shane so he could meet James Bond! He had a real laugh to find that he had met the real James Bond.I stayed another two nights and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.Would I recommend the Holiday Inn Leicester to anyone? Yes of course. Was it worth the money? Yes of course.Would I stay there again? If I ever have to go to Leicester again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. All in all, I was left shaken but not stirred.Rooms: See above.Safety: This place has security like fort knoxFood & drinks: See my review.
