She was sooooo friendly, bubbly, honest, funny. (We did have some laughs). Nothing was too much trouble for Jo, she chose dresses that would suit my daughter, also taking into account the venue. Jo made my daughter feel relaxed, not pressurised in anyway, giving positive and complementary feedback, making her feel special, building up her confidence. Jo is am amazing asset to Bradgate Brides. There should be more Jo's like her in this world. Good luck to you for the future.
Claire Grimblefox: I can't thank Jo enough for helping me find THE dress. I am a plus size and knew what dress I wanted, the sample size in BB was too small but Jo contacted the designer and found a shop with the right size to try on. She was amazing from start to finish, very respectful to my size and honest with it about what styles suited me best, not once did I feel my size was an issue, by the end of the appointment, I was practically naked but totally at ease and that is all down to Jo. I have ordered the dress today and could not be happier! The facilities are great (you'll get the whole SYTTD experience) the dresses are fabulous with so many styles to try and the service was faultless, I can't wait for my dress to arrive now.Top tip for brides to be: Do manage your expectations to avoid disappointment, wedding dress sizes are still very small compared to your high street size and you do need to check what samples are available in your size wherever you go. The bridal world is sadly still very fattist, designers will make dresses from size 0 - 32 but finding them to try on is like pulling hen's teeth!
Paula Rowley: I should have left this review a long time ago and I hope the customer service has improved since (though I still see others making similar comments). I had an appointment with this store for my wedding a few years back and I left this store in tears. I was a size 12/14 top and a 14/16 bottom at the time- so a very average size, I was informed I could not try on many of their sample gowns "because of your size" (even open with a panel, as other stores did), the assistant also only wanted me to try on princess style dresses and was very prescriptive, telling me a more fitted style "wouldn't suit your shape" (I ended up in a more fitted dress from another supplier, I was an occasion wear designer at the time, so I had plenty of knowledge about what shapes might suit me). I walked out of the appointment after 20 minutes of being made to feel just awful about my body, it turned what should have been a happy day into something I still remember and feel sad about until this day. My bridesmaid who was with me was also deeply shocked at the whole thing. Thankfully other bridal stores were so much nicer and had absolutely no issues with me trying anything on- even when I asked them if they were sure. If you are a size 8 I'm sure you will have a great appointment, they have some lovely dresses (not that they really showed me any of them in detail) if you are a size 14 or above, unless they have changed their approach substantially, go elsewhere.

I then came to Bradgate Brides, Jo knew exactly what image I had in my mind with very little description of what I liked. The dress was exactly what I’d dreamt of walking down the aisle in and it didn’t disappoint. I felt amazing on my wedding day and got endless compliments on my stunning dress and I truly didn’t want to take it off at the end of the night! I also got a veil from them following a failed attempt to buy one from the internet. Whenever I spoke to Bradgate Brides I was given a warm welcome and the girls couldn’t do enough for me! Kayleigh Stretton: From the moment I stepped foot into Bradgate brides I received exceptional service, the ladies were amazing especially Jo, I had 4 months till my wedding back in 2020, I tried some dresses which weren’t right, Jo knew exactly what I wanted so brought out a gorgeous Morliee dress which was perfect, the only problem was it wasn’t off the peg which I needed due to the length of time till my wedding, Jo worked her magic and they agreed to get the dress made and shipped. As with a lot of weddings ours was postponed due to Covid and then we had a baby.So now we are finally getting married and I decided I needed a viel, so I went back to Bradgate Brides where Jo helped me choose my viel and head piece. Jo has such a friendly, warming manner, she made me feel at ease through both appointments and listened to what I wanted. Surabhika Lunawat: It would be no exaggeration to say that Rakhee was a godsend leading up to and on my wedding day. Firstly, she came with a glowing recommendation by a good friend so I already had some level of trust in her work. In the initial consultation, I knew I’d be able to entrust her with my bridal look. It was clear that she was experienced and knew what she was doing. I had two looks on the day and Rakhee took the initiative to research both (very different) looks independently of me to achieve my vision.She went the extra mile and also helped us with recommendations and general advice and tips around Leicester as our wedding unexpectedly had to move there. This was practically very useful as we aren’t from Leicester and I had never been there before.We were fortunate to be able to organise a trial where I could see our ideas come to life, which meant we could explore different options and I could feedback in a controlled fashion before the day itself. Everything was done in a Covid safe manner throughout, which was of course very important given the times we live in.On the day itself, Rakhee herself had to deal with unexpected circumstances on her way to me, which meant we started quite a bit later than planned. Regardless of this, she was able to get me ready an hour ahead of schedule and I couldn’t be happier with my look. She noticed that my stress levels were steadily increasing throughout the course of the wedding morning due to a number of last minute changes and she remained calm, professional and was very quick on her feet with more practical help and ideas. She also took a whole host of photos on the day, which now serve as great memories for me. Importantly, being vegan, I’d requested from day one that we use vegan and cruelty free makeup as far as was possible and Rakhee was open and willing to do this. She also helped out with my mum and sister’s looks on the day, which everyone loved.Overall, on a day that started off with a lot of stress and unexpected changes, I couldn’t have asked for a better hair and makeup artist. We were tight for time and she still managed to get everyone ready exactly the way we wanted and on time! She stayed with us for as long as we needed and even changed locations because we had to check out of our airbnb. She truly put the bride first and made her day easier in any way she could. Her professionalism and charismatic personality made it so easy to work on not one but two different shoots. I've always seen Rakhee's work through photographs, but working closely with her, she is truly amazing at what she does. Kingdom Youth Network: How I ended up at Bridal Reloved is a long story but this is the abbreviated version. On Saturday the 20th of August, I received a text asking if I would like to take up a cancelled appointment. I really wanted to have a lie in but I decided to go just in case there was something there waiting for me.Upon arrival, Mel and Lucy made me so comfortable and offered me refreshments. I tried on two dresses and they gave me their honest feedback which was refreshing. My third dress was "the dress" and that was when I realised that Mel and I are family 😚. The dress fit beautifully with no amendments required. On the whole I highly recommend Bridal Reloved and their kindness in providing me with a payment plan and the opportunity to keep my dress with them. Erin Conaghan: Well, what can I say? Two years ago I visited Mel at Bridal Reloved Leicester to try on some wedding dresses. She was so lovely, kind and helpful in picking out dresses for me. I got through a fair few, trying on all different styles of dress but I left empty handed due to not actually having anything prepared for a wedding haha.Fast forward 2 years and what a similar but different story this trip entailed! Mel welcomed me, my mum and my maid of honour with a big (under her covid mask) smile and was so happy and friendly towards us, just as she was last time we met. As she knew my body type from the previous visit she already had a few dresses in mind for me to try on (some hadn't even been tried on by anyone yet) which I was so excited about. First dress ticked all the boxes for me but we put it to one side and continued to try lots of others on- which I'm so so thankful for doing because who knew my dream dress would be amongst them!? We put the first dress back on me to ensure that it wasn't 'the one' and although it ticked all the boxes on paper of what I wanted in my wedding dress it just didn't WOW me, my mum and my best friend like the other one did. My dress is everything and more, I love it so much and I can not thank Mel enough for all the effort she had made for me that day. Such a great experience- both times and I would highly recommend you to visit her if you're looking for your bridal dress.P.S such good prices for all the dresses, every dress I tried on was under budget and they were all nice in their own ways.I'll visit you in another 2 years Mel (but just to say "hello" next time), keep doing what you're doing.
