Holiday Inn Leicester, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Catherine Duffy: Fabulous service, special mention to Devika G, Claire on reception, Monica and Jackie at breakfast. We've stayed at many IHG hotels but this was the best.Noteworthy details: Well placed, convenient car park, easy access to historic city centre
Shahbaz Rahim: The receptionest was so rude
Hitesh Gajjar: Thank you 😊 for having usRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
dreamcars4you: 'Delighted' is the word I want to use.Not only was the room spacious, but it was extremely clean. Breakfast had a great selection of foods. The service was FIRST CLASS. I have to say, I travel international and this is the best service I have had in years! Big thank you to one individual, 'Kornelia' she was always so helpful, cheerful ! Thank you to you all. We will be back! David Dawkins..
James Bond: First class service that left me shaken but not stirred.I booked a stay at the Holiday Inn Leicester online between Thursday 1st June checking out on Saturday 3rd June 2023. I was on a property course with the Real life group run by Mark Harvey. A few days before my stay I found, to my horror, that the trains were not running on the way back on Saturday. Being a mathematical freak I worked out mathematically that it was cheaper to stay overnight for another night than it was to drive to Leicester and park my car in a car park. I did just that.I then phoned up the hotel This very helpful man called Shane picked up the phone.I told him that I had two bookings. One from Thursday 1st June to Saturday 3rd June and one from Saturday 3rd June to Sunday 4th June. I asked if I could merge them so I was in the same room. He asked what my name was I said “The name is Bond, James Bond.” It turned out he is a big Bond fan and he saw on the system that the name was genuine so he merged the bookings. He did ask that when I came to the hotel that I come to reception when he came on duty at 10:30 pm so he could meet the real James Bond! We had a big laugh over it!I checked in on Thursday 1st June. A very pleasant lady called Sarah checked me in with a minimum of fuss. It was so funny when I said “the name is Bond, James Bond.” I showed her my driving license and she laughed. Claire was also on reception who had a bit of a giggle as well.I then went to my room and to be polite it was clean. It was a room fit for Buckingham Palace.I then decided to get my evening meal at the hotel restaurant. I was served by this very pleasant lady called Devika – I think that’s her name but I may be wrong. She was so nice. This lady was the elite of all servers. I ordered the chilli penne. That was a meal fit for a king. The chef must have been Italian because only an Italian can cook an Italian dish as well as that! all servers. I also ordered chocolate sponge afterwards. That desert was also a meal fit for a king. After my meal I went to reception around 1030 pm and asked them to call Shane so he could meet James Bond! He had a real laugh to find that he had met the real James Bond.I stayed another two nights and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.Would I recommend the Holiday Inn Leicester to anyone? Yes of course. Was it worth the money? Yes of course.Would I stay there again? If I ever have to go to Leicester again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. All in all, I was left shaken but not stirred.Rooms: See above.Safety: This place has security like fort knoxFood & drinks: See my review.

Villare Leicester City Centre Hotel: what do users think?
Znawca Afryki: Ok
Shauna Ready: Hotel was stunning. Great night sleep. Room had everything we needed. Will definitely be staying again!Special thanks to Millie on reception. Such a sweetie! Couldn't have done more for us! Every odd little request fulfilled and every time with a smile! Great service!!

Aston Mary: Very unhelpful staff and they never respond to email. Avoid them.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
mabvi: The staff will try to oversell you, manipulate and lie. When you have a problem, they’ll tell you to email the management team but guess what? No management team in this hotel! Should’ve read reviews before booking here. They never reply on their management email cus the manager does not wanna deal with issues so he ignores (why have a management email then? 🤦‍♂️) . And staff will gaslight everything and tell you to mail their management email. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. And the elevator is quite slow, rooms are quite warm and the sheets have stains on them.
Becks Fraser: The hotel is right in the city centre and almost next door to Mosh nightclub and above a 24 hour Subway sandwich shop so there is a bit of noise at kicking out time around 2am so take ear plugs with you. The room itself was great. I booked the Standard double with balcony which was on the third floor and had a lovely view of the square in front of the hotel. The reception is also on the 3rd floor and accessed via a lift which is not very well loved and is a bit grubby and smells of wet dogs so not the best welcome to the hotel but if you can get over that then the hotel is good value for money and has comfortable beds! Parking at Highcross rooftop car park was easy and good value once the hotel has validated your card its only £6 for 24 hours.
Milan Lad: Horrible hotel with awful service. The staff we not bothered and did not want to do a lot about the unhygienic state of the rooms. There was stains on the pillows. The room did not look like it had been cleaned. Very loud location too. Do not stay!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 2/5 …More

Reena chomber: Pros: rooms were big and spaciousCons: 2 spotlight in room would not turn off without turning the main power and TV off. Notfieid reception who bless his heart tried to come and sort it out but he also failed and feels there is a fault somewhere. Very annoying lights right in your face.- room was cold entering and through out taking ages to warm up- mini fridge was awful not good quality or cold.- bath tub was dirty.- duvet was of low quality and nor comfortable in cold weather.Overall, it was not the best stay.
Matias Costa F: Terrible service, I arrived and no one even answered or let me in to the building
Andrew Kunman: What a hidden gem great find.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
V: I am posting this review after speaking with the receptionist Avinash who basically said me to post the this to initiate a response from the management team who have not replied to my email outling my complaint about my stay on 13/01/2023. I have stayed many of times at this hotel and never had an issue. However on this particular occasion the standard of the room was very poor.1.When initially making the booking I was quoted £80.00 but told its £89.00 on arrival. The receptionist said she was powerless and I would have to discuss any matters on check-out.2. The pillows in the room were inadequate and uncomfortable. One of the pillow covers was stained yellow indicating poor hygiene when being cleaned.3. The mattress has seen better days. You can feel the springs when sleeping which has caused issues to my back.4. The limescale on the kettle seems to be on the outside and stuck with grime and dirt. Which suggests the kettle has not been cleaned regularly and potentially leaking.5. A more serious concern is the mirror has the bottom part of the frame missing which means the glass mirror could fall out at any point and cause serious if not catastrophic injury to a guest.6. Lastly the net curtains have mould on them which suggests there is damp and not cleaned regularly.Overall it seems like there were no checks carried out on the room to ensure it was safe and hygienic as the issues would have been picked up by the most laziest individual.I spoke with Avinash on 20/01/2023 who said to me the manager is now miraculously away on business and will reply when ever they want basically told do what ever you want.I would like to highlight to the management company that simply not responding and avoiding in making contact in an attempt to avoid a discussion around matters and provide a remedy will not dissappear. I would kindly request for the manager to get in touch so this matter can resolved.
Jehanzeb R: 1-When I arrive all windows were open, The room was cold and heater took so much time to heat up the room. I had to call the front desk to get another heater but was not enough.2-The mattress was horrible and tilted inward, could not sleep at all.3-The shower handle was not mixing cold/hot water4-The water was not draining from the sink5-I showed all of these problem to the reception in the morning but was not accepted.6-I wanted to cancel my whole stay and they charged me for the night I stayed and 1 extra night indicating that this is their policy. They should have refunded me the night I have stayed and should not have charged me extra night.Do not stay here,,,Get an international chain. It will be worth it.
