Our website aims to offer information and advice to both members and non-members of the Archery Club, from those looking to take up the sport for the first time through to those with the highest aspirations, as well as all points in between.

4worldlovers: The Foxes Archery Club is based at Farnham Bridge Farm, Rothley, Leicester. It is a target archery club and it has an active junior club associated with it (The Junior Foxes) for archers under 18 years.

During the outdoor season (April to end September) the club normally meets on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings but we have all year round access to the field at Farnham Bridge farm so can shoot at other times as well.

Indoor shooting takes place at Winstanley College (just off Hinckley Road) on Saturday mornings (9.30 -11.30 am) between the end of September and the end of March.

We have archers at all levels of expertise including some who regularly represent the County in inter-county matches.

Many of our archers shoot in tournaments while others just shoot for the fun of it. The club runs tournaments, fun shoots, Have-A-Go’s, group or corporate “try archery” sessions, enters postal leagues and runs beginners’ courses throughout the year.

We welcome novice as well as experienced archers. Our members are very friendly and new archers integrate easily into a good club atmosphere.

Any person wishing to join the club must prove that they are able to shoot safely & have completed a beginners’ course. Therefore one of the clubs coaches will assess your shooting to ensure that you meet the required standard. If you are already affiliated to Archery GB you must produce your affiliation card to prove this.

Annual membership fee (due at the end of April each year) is as follows:

Juniors joining must have a parent or guardian joining either as a full shooting member or a non shooting associate member.

There are no target fees, and membership also covers the cost of indoor shooting during the winter.

Archery GB fees are due at the end of September of each year (£57.00 for Seniors and £15.75 for under 25, Juniors and registered disabled for 2022/2023; Associate/Social members nil).

4worldlovers: Welcome to the website for the Soar Valley Archery Club (SVAC). We are very pleased that you have found us.

We are a small, well established club of 30 years standing, with members of all abilities and with ages ranging from 8 to 80. We have indoor and outdoor facilities at our shooting range and shoot twice a week on a Tuesday Evenings 7-9pm and Sunday starting at 10am – 2pm.

We have some news! Archery Legends and Merlin Archery are taking a big new step together! At some point in 2022, we will be merging services and reopening in a new (as yet undisclosed) location! We don’t have a definite date yet, but will keep everyone updated via the website and social media.

The Phoenix Archers arose out of a desire to encourage and assist all members to thoroughly enjoy their archery, and to support them whether they are competitive or not.

We always promote members attempts to improve, and support them with practical advice and coaching if required. Our credo is to enjoy your archery, not just to be competitive.

Achieving high scores can give a feeling of achievement, and we always promote ambition, but we believe first and foremost that it’s essential for all archers to get their full enjoyment out of the sport they love.

We have facilities for Target, Field and Clout archery. Due to the size of our field, we can not accept Flight archers or compound bows.

Whatever your preference, Phoenix Archers exists to encourage archers of all skill levels to get the most out of their archery.

For people who want to try out the sport to see if it is something that they would like to get more involved in, we hold two ’Have a Go Archery’ sessions each year; If you’ve made up your mind to become an archer, we also offer beginners courses throughout spring and summer.
