Leeds Marriott Hotel: what do users think?

Hannah Sheldon: . I hung my towel both days and both days it was taken. Why have a policy if the cleaners don't follow it?There's also no need to replace the shower cap and soap boxes once they've been opened and are clearly still in use. Hotels are already a very wasteful industry, but this is so unnecessary

NURUL HOQUE: Right in the city centre..Access to food and shops walking distance.Staff are very nice and helpful.Breakfast was good.. served as a buffet.Rooms are very clean and spacious.Downfall was the TV channel.. lags due to poor Internet connection.. unacceptable when staying at a place like Marriot.Walkability: Shops and access to food..

John Pallett: Really enjoyed the stay here and the price was very reasonable some lovely touches in the room. And there was a small fridge which would be very useful for staying more than one night. Would definitely recommend and will be staying here again myself.Food & drinks: There was countless places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the hotel as it really is right in the center of Leeds.Noteworthy details: Although you are right in the center of Leeds you wouldn't know it once you enter the small square in which the entrance is located. And from inside you could here the noise of been right in the city center.

Rajeev Chopra: A great location for work and to go out in thecity centre the lounge had free beer and wine and canopies available I did not get chance to try out the restaurant. But I did go for breakfast. The variety of breakfast was good. The only thing that let it down was I requested some fried eggs, which I waited for and then I ate my breakfast and they still never arrived after 20 minutes. So I never bothered to chase them and left. Overall location wise was good. Room was spacious and clean.Rooms: Clean

liz knowles: I stayed for one night. Room was large, comfortable, very clean and quiet at night. I struggled to find a firm pillow from the 8 in the room and I had no face cloth - when I requested one from reception I was told they didn't have access to them and I should have asked earlier... Breakfast was good with the usual hot food offering, lots of cereal, bread, pastries, fruits and cheese. Had a selection of gluten free options. I would stay here again.

Philip Harris: Here for work, no dairy free milk sachets options for the roomsHowever when I asked at reception they gave me a carton of Soya milk from the restaurant to use throughout my stay for 2 nights.Very nice of them and much appreciated! 5 star serviceAlso the rooms very nice and clean as per premiere inn

Linda Iravani: for free overnight and you can pay via the Pay by Phone app from 8am if you don't want to move the car.We will be back!

Carl Boarder: Comfy beds, clean rooms, good food, outstanding service. I dont normally write many reviews but Charlotte B gave me such good service i took the time to write this. On check in i was greeted warmly and service was speedy so i got in my room quickly. Later on she served me in the restaurant and couldnt do enough to accommodate my food allergies, all with a cheery smile and a happy demeanor. A real credit to the company and i look forward to my next stay in due course.Rooms: Comfy beds, clean roomNearby activities: Nicely near the town shops amd restaurants and train stationWalkability: Safe and easy to get about, accessibility featuresFood & drinks: Tasty food, very accommodating

Tim Hayward: Stayed overnight for a work event, got a premier room and have to say it was very nice, even more so considering the price. Convenient for the city centre and has a car park next door so easy to park up if you come by car, also very close to the Train Station. Would not have been my first choice of hotels but have to say if I'm staying in Leeds again I would definitely use it as I was very impressed

Glenys Gray: Lovely welcome by great staff. Joseph treated us to our coffees on arrival and later that night when getting back to the hotel he brought out a big plates of chips for the 3 of us to share.Food & drinks: Would be nice to have some sweet treats like biscuits to eat with coffees.

Dr Jim Ferguson: . The rooms are small, but contain all the essentials. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.Rooms: Rooms are small, but with all necessary requirements. The shower cubicle was rather small and may be a problem for pork pie and cream cake eaters.

Ambrose's Legit Honest Reviews: So convenient for the bus station, it's only really over the road, big plus. All the staff I spoke to were friendly, polite and helpful. Room was fine for me, I was only stopping for one night after O2 Academy gig. Separate loo, separate shower, full length mirror, TV, clothes hangers, toiletries provided, towels provided, stool to sit on, plenty of assorted lighting arrangements, was clean, comfy, quiet. Being on 7th floor, the room proffered great views over Leeds. It's on a busy road network and close to the railway line, but window soundproofing is excellent and there was no roar from vehicles at all. My only two minor points were the loo door had to be pushed quite hard to close and it made a big thumping bang every time. OK for me but hoped it didn't wake folk. And no drink making facilities in room. I never use the telly in hotels, so a kettle over telly every time. That said, you can help yourself to free hot drinks downstairs which is worth knowing. Oh, and there's a third thing: those stupid room card key effort thaaangs - mine didn't work, went on strike - Apparently this happens a lot and other guests suffered similarly. Apparently, the key's resistance to working can be affected by proximity to mobile phones, but my key was in my bag and mobi in hand. It's not really that much of an issue, as the two chaps down on reception were lovely - caring, obliging and they just reset my card for me, saying they'd check on the security camera, so that I wouldn't need to keep ping ponging up and down in the lift to them to sort. Yeah, comfy stay, reasonably priced. Happy customer. Big thank you to all the lovely staff, hope your boss reads this! Would stay here again.

John: Very nice spotless

Des Speed: The room was very clean & functional.Towels were changed every day.Though I always make my own bed, the bed linen was tidied better than I had made it.Great location within walking distance of Leeds and transport links.I enjoyed my 4 night stay here.Thank you to all the staff.Rooms: Functional.Take your own kettle.Walkability: Close to Leeds City & transport links.Noteworthy details: Front facing rooms have a great view of the city skyline.

Katy Dawson: . They provided a travel cot for us which was great. There is no kettle in room so we took our own travel one but free tea and coffee is available from restaurant anytime. We paid for breakfast in advance and hadn’t realised there wasn’t any cooked breakfast but to be honest for the price it was great - tea, coffee, juice, toast, pastries, meat and cheese, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Lots of options including milk alternatives like coconut milk which was a nice touch. Everything was fresh and delicious.Room is situated in a fab location for the price and only a short walking distance to the city center and the parking they use

Samantha: Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean.Bed was comfortable.Breakfast was average with limited options.Parking £12 for 24 hours. The hotel is in a good location. If you become a member, you can check out up to 2 pm, which is a good advantage.Food & drinks: Needs more options for breakfastVegetarian & and gluten-free

jack Lumber: Having not been to Leeds before, we were uncertain where to stay. Looking on line there are as you would expect a lot of options. Our criteria was simple, near to the centre with parking available, anything else is a benefit or an extra cost. We picked this hotel and were not disappointed at all. Easy to locate and has a number of parking spaces available, while these have a cost, the hotel gives a discount on the price, lifts are available to all floors, the rooms are as you would expect, clean, tidy and reasonable size, good size bathroom and shower, they will provide those little things we all seem able to forget. Breakfast is included and is served downstairs near the hotel bar, good selection of items. The hotel is located about 10/15 minutes walk to the centre. There is a bonus that the restaurant next to the hotel is very good, there is even a real ale brewery just along the road.Would happily stay here again.

carole lowe: This is not a 5 star hotel. But, the rooms are roomy, spotless and have the necessary bits ,such as iron, kettle, extra blankets etc to make it a lovely option. The bar is well managed . The staff are super lovely. The buffet breakfast is of a surprisingly high quality. Location is great for motorway arrivals and there is plenty of parking. Really good experience for us and our friends.

Nick Myers: .Parked on site which is quite expensive, you do get a parking discount voucher from reception when you stay. Your still looking at £15 per night in car parking charges.Room is quite dated but comfortable, I was on the main road side which was a little noisy with the morning traffic. Only thing I would say was a down side is the air con, at 3AM the room was hot and could I get the dam thing to work. Window opening solved the issue for the most part. All in all I would return as it was fine for a business trip.

Leigh Dean: Very central hotel, great location. No associated parking and local Q parks were quite expensive. Staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel is clean and fairly basic.Bad point - our room was the furthest room away from reception and was a bit of a long maze to get too. The second lift smelled really bad like a lingering fart that never went away. In the room, beds were relatively comfy, but bathroom door didn't shut, shower was nice and powerful though, but the shower curtain kept sticking to my back and just got me wondering how many other backs has it stuck too without being washed. I also hung my towel on the hook on the bathroom door and the hook fell off. Looks like it had been broken a while and the screws had just been pressed back into the hole for the next person. Rooms were clean but a little dated, and there was no view from the window at all, also the room got very hot and the window opened wouldn't cool it down and this was in February. Would hate to see how hot it got in summer. All in all, it was really good value for money given the location

Euphemia Christie: My Exprence was a good one I sleep good I eat good the room was very cleaned cleaned bathroom clean toilets cleaned every thing in the room,I will visit a gain it worthwhile for the moneys I would Recommend plenty people,to go dear it’s not far from the train station. The train pass yo do not here it because the window glasses are double glazed, this place is a family place,so please go and enjoying yourself with your family’s,they also have bigger rooms, and it. Good 👍 for the price, from Euphemia Christie what I write is the THRUE and nothing but the THRUE So help me my God love you all👍💕💕🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿😅😂😇🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🎋🎋🇬🇧

Zoe Cheung: Rooms are fairly clean, the reception staff were especially helpful! however getting to the room was complicatedWalkability: Near the train station in city center

Sharon Harris: Couldn't fault it. Good price for a central leeds overnight stay. However the cost of parking!!!! £33 !!! We were not informed that we had to pre book parking to get a discount!Nearby activities: Central Leeds next to train station. Parking is expensive because of location. Good continental breakfast.

Rares Porc: Great location, next to the train station but quiet. Rooms are a bit small and have not been renovated since quite some time but are clean and decent. Service was prompt and the lady at the reception even offered us a full discount on the fee we had to pay in order to drop the luggage inside for a few hours before the check in,which is at 2pm. Overall , a nice experience. I would definitely visit again next time I am in the beautiful and vibrant town of Leeds.I was lucky to get a room on the last floor, so I got some beautiful pictures. Note that the last floor has no elevator so you would have to use the stairs from the 5th floor to the 6th .

Jane Pightling: Straight across from the railway station this is a nice hotel for a business or weekend stay. Slightly shabby public areas but the rooms are nice and the staff very friendly. Nice buffet style breakfast and conference buffet lunch and dinner in the restaurant was also nice. Not the cheapest but very convenient. 20 floors so great views from the higher floors if you don't mind lifts. Gym on site.

Ian Cook: A functional hotel near Leeds City Centre. Our quad room was functional and quiet for our 2 night stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good english breakfast available for additional charge. Parking is available for an additional £6 per 24 hrs.A 15min walk into Leeds City Centre where you'll find many shops, covered shopping malls and museums. Beware that most museums are closed on Mondays.Though there was some floor noise from upstairs room on our 2nd night it was not a problem. But if the guest above is very noisy, you are likely to be disturbed.

Walid Adker: Service: 3/5

Ace Rimmer: Good location 10 minutes walk from centre.

Euva-Lynn Baxter: Rooms: CleanHotel highlights Quiet …

Sian McManus: The room was very clean, and despite being next to the main road, you couldn't hear the traffic outside at all. The bed was spacious and comfortable, and there was extra pillows in the room which was a nice touch.Only issue was that we were on the 3rd floor and the lift was out of order, but it didn't really bother us too much.Definitely better than the Ibis over the road.

Fingerprints on the window and bedside table not been cleaned, but nothing to complain about.Tv had loads of channels, windows opened which is a bonus. Stephen Graham: More than adequate facilities for a 2-night stay although the guest’s opposite weren’t very considerate with the comings and goings. Issues with the hot water in the building were effectively resolved by the team on the front desk. I wouldn’t have dinner there again though as the price is no different than a lot of local venues with better presentation.

Marty Free: Very friendly lady at reception who said had only been there 2 months. Good customer care. The room looked like had a brand new carpet fitted and smelled nice. It was a very clean clean room. Everything worked fine incl wifi, kettle, tv etc.I stayed in a single room. It was not en suite but nice shower/bathroom down the stairs. I paid something around 35 pounds for the night on a Thursday. It was great value. It is actually the 2nd time I have stayed there and no doubt when back in Leeds again be there again.Walkability: 5-7 min walk to the main street with regular buses to and from Leeds city centre. There is a park across from the hotel I have not been in but it is large and probably a fair walk around it. There is also a general shop just a few doors down from the hotel.

Rey Oss: Very good hotel for it’s price. Most of the stuff very polite and experienced.Big and fresh rooms👍

Our room was well worth the little extra price as the view over City Square was smashing and amazingly quiet. We enjoyed a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed and a smashing breakfast. My only criticism was that the chairs in the Reception area hadn’t been vacuumed and there were crumbs and dust in the recesses of the seat.Other than that - a perfect stay in Art Deco design.

Rufus Redwood-Rowe: Great value, super helpful staff, delicious breakfast, would stay again!

Duncan: This is the perfect hotel for a headingley stay. It's by no means glamorous, and is indeed a budget, basic hotel. But in times of 150£ per night average city hotel prices, it remains a breath of fresh air and sensibility.Located right next to headingley cricket ground, it's ideal for a stay in headingley, which has excellent transportation links to Leeds City center. The rooms are very basic, but everything is functional and the beds are comfortable. It's also dog friendly, with no extra charges.I strongly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Leeds area.

Marty Free: Friendly staff and was able to store my luggage before check in. Room for the price is fine single with shared bathroom and was under 30 pounds the night I stayed-obviously not 5 star hotel but for the price is fine.Comfortable and a good sleep with Yorkshire cricket ground just behind it. Also bus to city centre on same street.
