Bramhope Scout Campsite and Activity Centre: what do users think?

Peter Kirby: We stayed in the John Briggs Building. It had everything we needed to make camping a success with 30 kids

Pawel Folfasinski: 👍🏻

Richard Bastow: This site is a great place for scouts and guides to enjoy adventurous activities and make lifetime memories.

Jon I: Brilliant campsite our scouts had a great time

Paul Harness: Great venue for a camp, whether it's Scouts, Guides, DofE or other youth organisation. Friendly team.

Anna Nowek: Overall, a nice place for scouts or organized trips. The downside was the lack of hot water throughout the stay.Playground: By prior arrangement.Restrooms: Publicly available.

Daniel Blower: Great setup for scouting events

Chris Edwards: Excellent fireworks

John Finlay: Loads to do and a really well setup campsite for 100's to camp indoor or outdoor.Always clean and tidy.

Billy Clarkson: Myself, 2 Leaders and 12 Scouts Travelled to Leeds for a camp. We stayed here and couldn’t have asked for anything more from a site.We stayed in the lodge. 12 Bunks in the main Hall. 3 separate bedrooms each with bunks and an additional “Leader Lounge” with some comfortable chairs to debrief each night. The kitchen was spacious with a large fridge freezer. All utensils we needed and storage space. There is an additional area you can ask for that is a Grill area with a BBQ and plenty of seating. I would love for our local site in Hertfordshire to have a area like this. There is a single toilet in the building for night use.Toilet blocks are perfect for our scouts with cubicles and a separate shower area . There’s also separate Shower block for leaders. The actual site was massive with 3 separate large fields for wide games and a very good campfire Circle.CCTV on site that covers the car parkWe used the bus Stop just down the road 5/10min walk and caught the A Flyers to the Airport and by the time you arrive there is separate A Flyer Bus that goes into Leeds City Centre. In all honesty the buses were the only part of the whole trip we had an issue with to any group should keep an eye on the trackers. We will 1000% be returning to this site on our rotation.

Clarion Lodge Campsite & Wigwams: what do users think?

Susan Mckenzie: was incredible. Sally helped us turn the caravan so we faced the countryside. The facilities were spotless and warm.

Mary Bardwell: Lovely caravan/ camping site , just be aware that this site is on the flight path of Leeds/ Bradford Airport ! Very noisy from 5 / 6am with planes landing and taking off.Lovely views out to the moors nice Sunsets. The only thing I could complain about was there was only 3 toilets each for men and women, that wasn't enough for the amount of people staying. Also I'm not sure if the bathroom area was cleaned but the ladies ran out of loo roll on the Saturday afternoon and wasn't replaced.

Pschedelic Faff: Absolutely lovely little campsite, immaculately kept and amazing views. Will definitely be visiting again.

Roy Neesom: As a caravaner, the last 1/2 mile is a challenge if you meet oncoming traffic on the twisty hill.

Paul Hurst: Lovely wee campsite. We stayed in our motorhome no problems. The lodges looked good.I've give it 4stars for location as it not really near Otley but ok if you got a car. We'd definatly stay again tho.

Anon Complaints: Great site. First camp in 30 years & couldn’t have picked a better place. Really clean, good toilet/shower/washing up facilities. Beautiful location & very good pub, with great food, a 5 min walk away. And only £25 a night.Nearby activities: Well-placed for bouldering/rock climbing and hiking. Lots of locations a few minutes drive away.

Marc Tweed: A lovely, little quiet campsite with very clean facilities and beautiful scenery. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you!

Si Ames: Looks like it's going to be a lovely site, I went to check it out for my group, we have two weekends booked on the site, can't wait to camp there 👍🏻

keith edwards: Very good new owner working hard to improve it

julia wright: This is a lovely friendly campsite with stunning far reaching views, perfect if you like walking as you can easily access the walking trails on otley chevin. There's a pub over the road selling food and the towns of ilkley and otley are very close by and worth a visit.Facilities are clean and tidy and there is WiFi and we had good phone reception. My only issue was that pitches were a little on the small side but would definitely visit again

Jo Hudson: Lovely clean, well kept siteLocation: 3/5 …

David Tristram: Hard a nice weekend hereLocation: 5/5 …

Keith Wadhams: Typical of CAMC standard. Shower and toilet facilities clean and warm. Dog walk on site. Pitches good size and well kept. The on site cafe bar was a good extra, but the Web site for it had not been updated so we were disappointed in the fare provided.Location: 5/5 …

Mary Wastie: We enjoyed our stay, the site and facilities were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. Plenty of walks from the site and short drives to even more.Food & drinks: Cafe was nice, affordable prices, nothing fancy. Dog friendly.

Tony Dobson: Brilliant club site, spotlessly clean staff fantastic and a great restaurant and bar. Loved this site. Ideal location with public transport nearby. Knaresborough is worth a visit and easy walkable on roadside footpath. A MUST VISIT.Food & drinks: Amazing pies

Susan: We had a fantastic time at this site love it be 3 times hear shower and the bistro bar is lovely staff wer very friendly and we walked in to Knaresborough to town and the gayfawick just 15 minutes walk from the site we definitely be come back 100% 😀

Ste Goddard: Lovely site, no facilities at the site so you have to use your own shower etc. Lovely surroundings, 20 min walk in to hebden bridge. A very nice spot for the weekend!Location: 5/5 …

Arb: One of the best Caravan Clubs sites in our opinion, for walks, pubs and shops in the area.Location: 5/5 …

peter fullman: This is a really nice C and M Club site. It is pleasingly secluded, beautifully located and has a good small site "vibe". We have no need for toilets or showers and the "emptying" facilities are excellent. Always managed to get a good TV signal but it can be a challenge to find it!Location: 5/5 …

Mike Greaves: Nice site, well kept and surrounded by trees. All hardstanding pitches some fully serviced and some with space for an awning.Be aware there are is no toilet block as clearly stated in the site guide. The wardens are friendly and helpful. The site is well placed for the local area and good hill or canal side walking.Bonus! Camra pub of the year 2023 just a 15 minute walk further up the road.

Andy Jenkins: Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet

Vincent Wells: Had a really lovely time here over the weekend even with the site being fully booked. You can still enjoy the peace and quiet during the day as most people go out and about and the pitches are a decent size. There is no shower 🚿 block so won't please everyone but the rest of the facilities are very good and well looked after. We never used our car all weekend as it's only a 20 minute walk into town and you can catch the train 🚉 to get to Hebden Bridge and Todmorden alot easier. Plenty of places to explore around the site and we will have to come back 🔙 as there is still alot to see and do.

Keith Binley: A pretty little quiet site. Note that it has NO toilet or shower facilities. Pitches are nice size with some on the back edge having shrubbery for a bit of privacy. You can hear the river running so a bit of natural background noise. Only about 50 or so pitches so small by full club site standards. Easy walk into Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge a little further on. Buses run from Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd, so easy to get back to the site if you can't be bothered with the walk back. Loads of walking around, but beware that there some hills around to stress your legs and lungs!

The toilets are spotless, the day room has a pool table, snooker table, books and board games to keep people occupied. There are great walks around the area with a river walk to let the dogs off.The only slight issue is there is nowhere onsite to let the dogs roam, but with the river being so close, it's not a hindrance to the stay at all
