Riverside Vegetaria: what do users think?

Gaynor: Was so happy that I stumbled on this hidden gem overlooking the river. Stopped to have a cappuccino and was greeted by a warm welcome from Richie and had a great conversation about the local area and Croydon. Although I didn't have anything to eat I was impressed with the menu and the food that was coming out to the customers, looked plentiful and smelt delicious! Richie was a fab host and remembers his clientele! Thank you Richie for the coffee and book and I'll see you soon 😊

Graeme Shaw: Met up with a mate to have a wander around Kingston. Found this restaurant as we walked south along the Thames path, and thought 'Why no?'. We're both keen to support independents when we can. It was a cold mid-January day outside, but the welcome and service soon warmed us up. Generous portions and promptly served. We will return in the Summer and dine outside looking out onto the Thames.Vegetarian options: Entirely vegetarian.Parking: Park elsewhere in Kingston and enjoy a walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Access only from the Thames Path.

My Rainbow Kitchen: what do users think?

Maria W: Fantastic Cooking Party with Chef Sayjel from myrainbowkitchen!Chef Sayjel warmly welcomed us into her colorful myrainbowkitchen and hosted an amazing cooking party for my daughter and her friends. The girls, all nine years old, were totally thrilled.During the pizza-making, the children were able to let their creativity run wild. Under Sayjel’s guidance, each child created their own pizza. That was a real highlight! The ice cream tasting at the end was the perfect way to round off the day. The children tried different flavors of ice cream and enjoyed the experience together.Sayjel provided not just a great culinary experience but also ensured that the children had a wonderful time. Her friendliness and skill made the party a complete success.I highly recommend Chef Sayjel and her myrainbowkitchen. We are already looking forward to booking more events and courses with her. Anyone who wants an unforgettable party should definitely check out Sayjel’s myrainbowkitchen!

Nicola Padden: My 13 year old daughter initially signed up for the cooking classes as a skill option for her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and she is absolutely loving the classes. Whilst she has always enjoyed baking, she is really enjoying the variety of foods that she's cooking with, both sweet and savoury, and learning different cooking techniques. The food cooked is delicious and sometimes doesn't even make it home as she eats it all beforehand. The classes have also given her the confidence to try out new recipes at home and she's definitely found a new passion in cooking, which is great. Thanks so much Sayjel, we highly recommend your classes.

Irina Gott: A big thank you to Sayjel for making our 10th wedding anniversary special! We had a very interactive and informative private Thai cooking class. Sayjel's kitchen and her range of ingredients are really exceptional, as is her knowledge of recipes and cooking process. The food we cooked under Sayjel's guidance was really tasty, she also helped us find wine to match! A very memorable experience indeed!

Nicole Lewis George: Both of my daughters have enjoyed learning to make delicious dishes at My Rainbow Kitchen. Whether they have attended a one off holiday course or a regular termly class, they always come back with food they are proud of and love to eat and they also have the recipes to try it again at home.

Geoffrey Fisher: I'm a professional chef for 25 years and learnt so many new techniques and methods of vegan cooking with Sayjel . I would recommend My Rainbow Kitchen to people who love to cook at home as well as chefs wanting to gain sound knowledge on vegan , vegetarian and fermentation cooking .Sayjel is thorough in her preparation for the classes and the lessons are very interactive for all levels of skills . I look forward to going back to My Rainbow Kitchen in the future .

Therese Lofberg: My thirteen year old daughter is really enjoying learning new recipes and skills from Sayjel. The dishes she has brought home each week have been delicious and devoured by the whole fanily.

Xian Chan: What a wonderful party we had with Sayjel! She organised and catered a super birthday party for our daughter and a bunch of 7 year old kids where they learnt how to make and decorate donuts. Each kid got to take home a box of their own personalised brioche donuts 🍩. A terrific experience that they are all still talking about. Not to mention their parents who are still raving about how tasty they were. Would highly recommend and in fact, I'm considering organising an adult birthday party cooking class with her! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

G F: My 12yo son truly enjoys Sayjel's Saturday classes. Great for kids who already have a passion for cooking and baking, and those who are curious about it. Sayjel's classes always differ between a variety of ethnic recipes from around the world.

Sandy Gough: ‘My Rainbow Kitchen’ class on Fermenting & Sprouting this week was a valuable & enjoyable experience. Seyjels extensive knowledge & generosity of sharing it was inspirational.I look forward to learning more from her wonderful kitchen.Sandy Gough

Lindsey Miller: My daughter is a keen cook and was very excited to join Sayjel for her first class! She had a great time and came home with the most delicious coconut and lime ice cream! We will definitely be booking more classes!

Judy Robinson: had such a good experience cooking spring rolls with Sayjel. She is desperate to go back for another session. I can already see how this will help open her mind to trying different foods. Highly recommend!

thermosir _: My daughter and some friends had a birthday cooking class with Sayjel last weekend. They all thoroughly enjoyed it, learnt a lot, and brought home some tasty morsels for the rest of the family. My daughter said Sayjel is a fantastic teacher - clear, funny, empowering and safe. Recommended.

S S: when we went to Richmond last year for our away day. The class was amazing and everyone had so much fun. I would book a class again if we were close to Richmond. I highly recommend this for a team building activity and the food was amazing!

John S: We held a team event here just before Christmas and had a fabulous time. Sayjel was welcoming and very expert. The food turned out amazing even with my very basic cooking skills and a good time was had by all. Recommended.

Nalini Patel: Thank you sayjel for sharing your Passion and learnings with us. In gratitude..

Jon Sheehan: This was a whole heap of fun and hugely educational. Sayjel makes you feel incredibly welcome and the time flies by. We cooked some lovely curries, vegetarian and meat based, both were delicious - there is chicken and then there is Sayjel's chicken!

Teresa Heitor Goncalves: Sayjel ran a corporate class for my team of 11 people. It was a great bonding experience, the class was fun, the food was absolutely incredible, the whole experience was just the right amount of time. Highly recommend!

Antonio Kiri Kiri: What an amazing afternoon learning to cook some divine Middle-Eastern themed food. Sayjel taught us a lot and made it an enjoyable experience!

Bill's Kingston Restaurant: what do users think?

Kassi Darnell: , but this proved difficult for our server. We also weren’t informed that there was a QR code we could scan to split the bill ourselves. Perhaps Bill’s needs a till system that allows servers to easily split the bill based on item or servers should ask if guests will be together or separate at the start of service.

Joe Webster: Dora was awesome ! Assets to the team for sure

Chloe Matheson: Shai was one of the funniest, most uplifting individuals I’ve ever met. They really made our trip to bills great. 10/10 service. Thankyou Shai, we will be back because of you!

Local Hero: what do users think?

Stuart Hyslop: Popped in for a light breakfast on a Sunday morning. They were the only place open before 9am that we could find. Very glad and lucky to find it. .Really tasty food, great ingredients, Lovely staff.Big pot of tea and a really great cappuccino.Scrambled egg on sourdough with a tasty Cumberland sausage for me. Well presented and tasty. My wife had avocado on sourdough with crumbled feta. Outstandingly tasty. Thanks Guys. Keep up the good work. 👍👍

Dawn Howe: Had brunch here the other day. The food is great, really tasty and I could tell the ingredients were of high quality. Poached eggs were the best I’ve eaten. Good quality eggs cooked to perfection. Service and staff lovely. Will certainly be back.Recommended dishes Avocado Toast …

Tinomia Gradidge: What an absolute local gem! It's cozy inside with tables scattered around. You order and pay at the till which I quite enjoy, from there you go sit down and wait for your delicious coffee and food to be brought to you. The flat white is the best I've had, and I find it difficult to resist getting one when I'm in the area. The food is also heavenly. I can highly recommend their avocado toast with chorizo and poached egg as well as the salmon Benedict. Both of these dishes are simply fantastic and full of flavor. You can taste the quality of the ingredients as well as the effort that goes into the plating and presentation. We do eat with our eyes first. Once you have finished your meal and coffee, your table is quickly cleared by a friendly member of staff. Because you have already paid for your food, you can simply leave whenever you want. You are always waved out the door with a warm "bye, thank you" from staff. I will continue to support this amazing local hero!

Katy Matthews: Amazing focaccia toasties

Amit: We were on the fence about trying a new cafe as there is Gail’s a few yards away but so glad we did.The Flat White was sharp, perfectly proportioned and the roast was simply delicious. We paired this with the Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie which was rich in flavour and perfectly baked to a crisp top.The cafe was busy even on a rainy day so expect to fight for a table when the weather is right. All in all, our coffee experience here was flawless and this might very well be our ‘local hero’.Highly recommended cafe and one we will definitely be back to soon.

R W: . We therefore had great variety.I have learnt how to make hugely flavoursome curries in much less time

James Petrillo: Vietnamese cooking class.Laugh, Eat, Drink and enjoy!Great night. Thank you all involved.Tom...."I got it........was it Jennifer Aniston?"

Jocelyn Mason: , and it was fun to meet interesting people equally committed to cooking. Free flowing wine was also much appreciated. Highly recommended all round!

lyndsay griffiths: Wonderful day cooking a huge range of super tasty South Indian food - great team at the helm, lovely/stylish space to work, friendly atmosphere and fabulous food with generous portions of advice along w everything edible/drinkable, too. Such a joyful way to spend a friday; I couldn’t recommend Food at 52 more highly. Lyndsay

cara robinson: We attended the Monday evening Thai cooking class and it was BRILLIANT. After visiting Thailand earlier in the year I can safely say that the food we cooked was so authentic and dare I say, more tasty than a lot of the food we had tried on our travels.Chef Tom stole the show with his vast culinary knowledge and sense of humour, teaching us not only how to make the food but the appropriate techniques as well. Emily was fab at teaching us how to prep and cook the seafood and the curry, and was just as welcoming and insightful as Tom.All in all this was a wonderful experience that I could not recommend enough, it’s a brilliant activity for anyone. From family outings to a work event and would even be a great first date icebreaker! Its in a great and easily accessible location that is easy to find and I will definitely be back! Thanks so much team 52 for such an insightful and fun experience!

Dora Ash Sakula: Went to the Thai class and learnt so many good tips. Realised I’ve been using a knife wrong for years! Tom and Emily were great teachers and were really accommodating when I told them I was veggie. Can’t wait to remake that papaya salad - the dressing is out of this world.

Sara Balzarelli: Can’t recommend the course at Food52 enough; such a joyous experience and wonderful way to pick up interesting culinary tips from chefs with amazing knowledge and teaching skills whilst meeting people with similar interests. The preparation gone into running it so smoothly was evident and the food so special, thank you all!

P M: The most fun and truly delicious meals. Looking forward to the next one

Kalpesh Parmar: Fantastic experience and we had a great time.

Filippo Antonucci: Food at 52 was an amazing discovery. I went with my company for the Christmas party and we attended an Italian cookery class. None of the chefs that guided us through the cooking experience were Italian. I am... I was expecting to be disappointed, but wow. I was wrong. Impressive and true to the core to the Italian cooking tradition; plus impeccable teaching of the basic techniques of handling your tools like a pro. And the best thing was the fun. We got to drink amazing wine and got to enjoy a good night with friends as well as other groups that were there with us. An amazing night!

Deborah Owen: The Moroccan cookery course I did was first rate. The chefs were knowledgeable and explained simply what we needed to do. The other people on the course were great fun. All in all an excellent evening.

Simon Maydon: Wonderful fun day, friendly team, easy to follow recipes. Great fun all round

TZU-MING CHEN: Fantastic chefs, cozy kitchen, tasty food, good company, free flowing wine… what’s not to love!

florence grace: Had great experience on the Moroccan cooking half day. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. We made 4 delicious dishes, I was really impressed with the chicken pastilla, and now have some new ideas to incorporate into my cooking.

Samantha Raoult: . We made tasty pastel de nata, which I had for breakfast the day after and a savoury trout + asparagus tartlet….. so flavourful! Fun, light atmosphere, safe & engaging. Thank you!

Shaun Munoz: Loved it. The class was great and the food was delicious.

Tracie Coster: Had a great couple of hours learning some Southern Indian cookery. The instructors are engaging and fun, the wine flowed and the food was great. I would thoroughly recommend this course.

Ian Cameron: I did the fish course, and had an absolute blast! Learnt a lot of skills, some theory with practical applications, and plenty of tasty food and drink. Will certainly do another in the future.
