The London Centre for International Storytelling, is the Charity that runs the The Crick Crack Club - the London based organisation that promotes and programmes performance storytelling for public audiences in arts venues in London and beyond. Through the Crick Crack Club the LCIS aims to promote the art and practice of oral storytelling by providing opportunities for the sharing and perpetuation of oral traditions from all cultures.

The long-term aim of the LCIS is to establish a permanent, dedicated venue for performance storytelling, in London.

The Crick Crack Club was founded by Ben Haggarty in 1987 and is the UK’s longest established Performance Storytelling club. In October 2004, it became part of the LCIS. It is the organisation behind such major storytelling events as the regular programmes of performance storytelling at London’s Barbican Centre, monthly events at the Soho Theatre, annual seasons at the Unicorn Theatre and Cheltenham Literature Festival, and The Beyond the Border International Storytelling Festival. It is through events organised by the Club, that the public are offered access to the highest quality storytelling performances in England. The Crick Crack Club programmes a variety of work in theatres, art centres, schools & museums, and for festivals, tours and conferences.
