4worldlovers: The Club will be holding an open day on 8th May where you can learn about our sport and ask any questions you may have (whether about the sport or how to object to the landlords application). Our Open day flyer can be viewed here.

The club is preparing reasons which we think will hold the most weight at the planning meeting. These will be available here by Saturday 30th April.

It is important our developer landlord is made aware of the weight of opposition to his development in order for him to realise the futility of his efforts to redevelop. The club has occupied the site for nearly 120 years and has every intention of being here for the next 120. Regardless of the number of objections that are shown on the planning portal, every one counts.

If you have recently enquired about joining the Club, we will respond more formally once planning matters have settled down. We should advise however that we do have a very long waiting list to attend an induction course and more details will be provided shortly. Suffice to say, that were the club be forced to close, there would be nowhere in the locality for you to approach to learn the sport. We would therefore urge anyone that is currently looking to take up the sport or who thinks they may want to in the future to object to the planning application as detailed above.

Wimbledon Park Rifle Club is a Members Only club that has been offering small bore shooting for over 100 years. Located in a secluded location in Southfields WPRC has a selection of outdoor ranges. All shooting is done from undercover so you are

Sheltered from the elements enabling shooting to take place 12 months of the year. We have one of the few 100 yard ranges in London. Members can shoot on any of the ranges;

10m air gun range standing with 4.5mm/0.177 inch pistols and rifles

For those new to the sport we have a good selection of club rifles and equipment allowing you to get a good feel for the sport without the need to purchase equipment. We run special coaching evenings for newcomers where the novice will learn how to safely and correctly handle a rifle and soon learn how to shoot at a competitive level.

Shooting is a competitive sport and all our members are encouraged to enter competitions that are held at the club. In some competitions a simple handicapping system rewards those that excel and WPRC members regularly compete at a County, National and International levels.
