Adapt Choi Kwang Do: what do users think?

Savera Latif: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI am currently a student and Instructor training here and have been for the last 8 years and I absolutely love it. The teaching is excellent and all the instructors are always willing to help!

Annee Patel: Positive:Professionalism,QualityVery good to boost your confidence. It’s a different martial art that teaches you a variety of skills.

Ms Dee: Perfect blend of gentle discipline, fitness and wellbeing principles at Adapt CKD. A brilliant intro to martial arts for little ones and a fab family ethos from Master And Deputy Master Pickett who are so inspiring. Wonderful fun classes

Alan Iles: Great martial art class offered for children. kids are focused, enjoy it and learn a lot.

O: A great class with a real sense of community. My ten year old son goes regularly and feels a real sense of pride in his achievements. The leaders really look after everyone and he learns much more than martial arts when he goes. They really live their values here and also encourage mindfulness. My son has really developed in confidence and become more focused as a result of attending and has also had a lot of fun in the process !

Rebecca Normand: The best class delivered by the best teachers. 100% recommend.

Leanora Harper: Lovely, genuine teachers and instructors. My daughter looks forward to classes each week and has progressed in confidence, discipline and motivation. Really love Adapt Choi Kwang Do and look forward to seeing how much more my daughter develops with them!

Joanne Nasr: I started with ACKD about a year ago.The classes are well run and you feel fully supported by all the instructors. You can work at you own pace with no pressure. It’s a fun way to keep fit and learn new skills that will help your physical ability and mind set.I would highly recommend ACKD Kingston to anyone of any age.

Tarryn-lee Coetzee: Joining the Adapt CKD family has been such a wonderful experience. My daughter has learnt such great discipline, respect, self confidence and self control since joining. Both Master Pickett and Deputy Master Pickett are patient, kind, and show a true love for Choi Kwang Do, which definitely filters down to their students. I could not recommend Adapt CKD more.

Katy Charlotte Grubb: I joined Adapt CKD back in May, and I can honestly say it has changed my life. The first thing you observe from walking into the class is how everyone is treated with the utmost respect, whether they're 8 years old or 78 years old. I love the calmness and structure in which the classes take place. There is no feeling of judgement or competition, it's all about fulfilling your own potential in an environment where everyone has your best interests at heart. The instructors are phenomenal and are never too busy to help you and guide you - and the sense of accomplishment when you finally accomplish a difficult move, is indescribable. Master & Master Pickett set the tone for the entire class. Their approach places a strong emphasis on the discipline required in martial arts, but this is balanced with humour, gentleness, and compassion. I could easily write an essay on the virtues of Adapt Choi Kwang Do, but instead why don't you sign up for a free trial class and experience it for yourself?

Varsha Patel: Absolutely brilliant instructors and classes at adapt Choi. Masters, Instructors, Assistant instructors are always, enthusiastic, willing, supportive, teaching us brilliant techniques & most of all patient with both young & older students. Every sessions are absolutely amazing. The wealth of knowledge that the instructors have are passed onto the students to help them achieve their goals. A huge thank toy master Pickett, Mr Pickett and all the assistant instructors for your continued support.

Demetrious Wright: Absolute qaulity A++ .... A really enjoyable class for adults and children alike. I attended with my wife and 2 sons, we all love this martial art.We tried other schools but did not find them as enjoyable. The passion for the art form and extensive knowledge that both David and Monisha posses is second to none. This makes the class all the more enjoyable. There is a very friendly and warm atmosphere and a great bunch of students of varying ages and skill levels. It is really great for general fitness and a truly remarkable martial and self defence tool. They have dealt with and adapted to the pandemic quite well, putting distancing and sanitising measures in place. However ...With the second lock down now upon us, we may have to revert to virtual classes for the time being???Definitely recommend for all... Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Milan Patel: Positive:Professionalism

Kingston Jiu Jitsu - Mauricio Gomes Legacy: what do users think?

Lee Byung jun: Probably the best place to learn martial arts in kingston, or even larger regions. Not only jiujitsu, they teach kickboxing, judo and wrestling. Highly recommended

Ricky Thomas: Started 6 months ago, club very welcoming, lots of classes and great instructors. Large range of levels and skills amongst the members making it good for beginners and advanced

Gerald Ezidiegwu: I was in the area for work and decided to visit the gym. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Mark and Andreas were excellent coaches. I highly recommend this gym and can’t wait to be back 💪🏿

Delia Miru: There are so many good things to say about this club, from the superb class instructors, the variety of classes to the friendly sparring partners... it really does have it all! Ultimately it is a place to come and forget about the daily grind, it gets really addictive to say the least. I was lucky enough to train in Brazil and it is definitely comparative to the classes there. The support is really great, I always feel that I can go to anyone with a query and they would gladly help out. If in doubt, come try a couple of classes and just see for yourself. Hope to see you there!

Justyna Goranci: Great BJJ club, amazing atmosphere and very professional teacher

Adam Goodsearles: Amazing club run by amazing people. Every teacher is extremely knowledgeable and professional and create a safe environment where you can learn bjj at your own pace. The club is super friendly and welcoming with lots of lessons for all different levels. Would definitely recommend for first time martial artists or experienced ones who want to try something new ☺️🙌

Adam Montague: Definitely best jiu-jitsu academy

J Choong: It's always daunting joining a new gym/starting somewhere new. That being said, having joined for almost half a year now I've nothing but positive experiences with the gym and their coaches. The community and people are great as you really feel taken cared of as you learn and develop.Classes are plentiful and varied and every instructor brings their own passion and knowledge in their own charming and friendly way.Strongly recommend.

Alex Rose: I’ve been training at KJJ for just under a year and I’m absolutely loving it. I started off only doing the women’s class which is run by Clare, who is super supportive & inspiring and has developed an amazing group of KJJ women! I quickly found jiu jitsu quite addictive and now go to as many classes as I can a week. The club has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere and all of the instructors are brilliant. Mark and Clare have created a really special community! If you’re thinking about joining, you should 100% do it!

Jehad Chowdhury: Started training here about 5-6 months ago and been loving the lessons ever since. Friendly class structure means that beginners will have their own sessions and still have the opportunity to join the main classes when more confident. They’ve added wrestling and judo dedicated classes as well recently which shows they’re really trying to improve the club even though it’s great already!

Aleem Majid: I started training at KJJ around 3 months ago. The club is very friendly to beginners/newbies, and the variety of classes and instructors has made my journey so far an amazing experience. With a combination of technique/drills/sparring during classes I walk away from each class having learnt something, and always look forward to my next session!

Mike Nelson: This is a lovely, friendly gym with a great sense of community! A great place to learn BJJ in a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend, especially for newbies who are unsure whether BJJ will be for them. You won't be disappointed!

Paulius: I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks but I have had a spectacular experience. A wonderful environment, amazing instructors and a great atmosphere and community here. Would highly recommend!

MsB: I'm currently training at the Academy and it's been a truly positive experience. The Instructors/Professors are world class, and the students are open, friendly and very supportive of one another. There's such a strong community here and everyone is welcome, regardless of your background, level, shape or size. I'd highly recommend doing a trial class to get a basic idea of how the classes work and the people you'll be training with

Nadeem Obayda: Been training here little over a year now and really enjoy it! Great coaches, very helpful, patient and super friendly and safe environment! People of all ages, skill level and background. Taking up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best thing you can do for yourself!

Max Mayers: As a new years resolution I joined a beginners course at this club in 2018 and found it to be the most fun way to keep fit I've ever tried. The open, welcoming and friendly atmosphere made it super easy to dive right in to training! Wether you want to take up BJJ/Grappling as a hobby, to keep fit, self-defence, or to take it seriously and compete, this club has the classes and instructors for you! You will soon become friends with other members and and can train with whomever you want! The open mat classes make it easy to practice the moves and concepts you have learnt during the lessons, or even to try new things! My son recently signed up at 7 years old who thoroughly enjoys the Jiu Jitsu related games along with useful self defence techniques, takedowns, and excellent ground work fundamentals! This will give him a great foundation for any sporting activity outside of Jiu Jitsu. All of the coaches have great knowledge and have been 'DBS enhanced' checked so you know you're in safe hands!

Lidia Rumley: My children have been training with the club since before the pandemic. The team did a brilliant job keeping in touch online during that time and now it's great to be back on the mats in person. The club is super friendly and the instructors are encouraging of the kids and very responsive to parents. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn jiu jitsu. Thanks Clare, Marc and team for all you do.

Agon Hadri: My son has been attending classes at the club for many years now and he still loves it as much now as he did then. The trainers are wonderful, really helpful and encouraging and really know their stuff. It’s a safe & wonderful environment for the kids to improve their skills.
