Catherine Rose: I have been visiting John Rose Eyecare to use the PMB red light therapy bed for a few years now. I am a Padel player, training and competing at high intensity's and the bed has helped me recover quicker and train harder. It helps with recovery in between matches and sessions, and has also been key in targeting some specific injuries and concussions I have suffered with. Highly recommend using Red Light Therapy.

When I talked to John first time on the phone to get some information about the services they offer, I was impressed with his knowledge. Although we live quite far away from their place I decided to go there. I am glad that I made the right decision. My son's myopia hasn't changed in 1 and a half year. They have the appropriate myopia management options and you can be reassured you're in the best care possible. They offer a direct debit scheme which comes with lots of benefits. We come and leave every time with a smile on our faces. I want to say a big thank you to him and his team. Surely we will be coming here for years.

Jackie Mullen: I visited John Rose today for my first light therapy session. I was met warmly by Anca and her colleagues, who are lovely and very professional, and offered coffee whilst the therapy process was explained thoroughly to me. The light session was amazing! It felt like I was lying in the sun as the warmth radiated was very relaxing and I got the impression that the sun was moving across my body. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and research shows that light therapy can alleviate my symptoms. As I had such a wonderful experience at JR I will definitely book more sessions with Anca.

There are very few around and has helped me recover from my ankle surgery extremely quickly. As a professional athlete I will continue to use this red bed for anti inflammatory purposes.

Anders Faergemann: I have taken 7 sessions of the whole body laser treatment offered at John Rose Eye Care. I am currently suffering from long COVID and have noticed an improvement in my lung health. I also have had less brain fog since beginning the treatment which has allowed me to properly revise for my A-level exams. Susan Jane Beers: John Rose is excellent at finding solutions to problems. If my glasses leave the house they often get lost which is a very expensive issue. The last pair lasted a month! Obviously this is a major problem but I need to read train departure boards in London and other important signs.Considering the problem and cost John was able to provide a cost effective answer which would lessen the pain of losing glasses less traumatic. Now I keep the expensive pairs in the house and car. The inexpensive pair is for out and about.Thank you John Rose for listening, understanding and providing a solution.

Laura Barker: I have just completed 10 sessions of NovoTHOR whole body red light therapy at John Rose. I have been trialing this treatment in the hope it would help with my Long Covid symptoms. It's difficult to say for certain if this treatment helped as LC is such a variable and unpredictable condition but I can't fault the service at all. I have met quite a few staff members including John and all are professional and friendly, the bed is also sanitised in front of you prior to every session and there is a air purifier in the room.I may return for some more sessions after a break as after some sessions I was convinced it was helpful!I am also thinking of booking an appointment to have the visual floaters checked, that I have also development with Long Covid, as I am in no doubt of the knowledge and excellence within this opticians.Thank you!

Jack Carpenter: As an ex professional athlete i have experienced a lot of injuries and nothing comes close to helping with recovery like the novothor. Ive been having back pain for the last 6 months and have visited physios and rehabbers and seen no clear progress. But after a consistent period using the novothor I am now back fully fit and pain free. A fantastic machine and would highly recommend to anyone experiecing acute or chronic pain, or simply to aid recovery time from training sessions and exercise. I continue to recomend this to all the players i coach. John himself is hugely knowledgable and a pleasure to know.

John is totally invested, which you can see in his FB pages, and it's really astonishing the depth of wellbeing information and detail to be gleaned from an eyeball! Yes, it can appear costly but if like I do, you need ongoing eyecare and prescriptions then you can join up to their monthly payment scheme to make it more affordable and know that you will get the absolute best and most current health check and advice utilising the latest technology and materials. On top of that a friendly and welcoming team, so I would say you get your money's worth!
