shashwat bhardwaj: Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Sean Wright: A fairly standard Spoons. A big venue that can get quite lively in the evenings being near a club and in the centre of town. Always nice to see a variety of non-standard Spoons beers on tap, such as Staropramen.App orders can often be very slow and toilets a bit grim, hence the three stars.
Anthony Rossiter: Get a lot of young people in this one after work, makes the atmosphere a lot more electric and means people are always open for good chat!Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

FIONA TENNET: As you no witherspoon pub are cheapBreakfast in this one can be at bit cold
Peter Thomas: The food and drinks were all ok,prices cant be beaten, one small complaint, a number of times we order a dessert, ie fresh fruit and ice cream, logged on to the kitchen, only for the chef to find our table and say,no fruit, ordered another dessert, possible lack of feedback from kitchen to till when ordering !!.
Simon Marsh: Pretty decent breakfast and great service. Can't go wrong
Michelle Gill: Modern, clean and tidy. Excellent service. Inexpensive but quite posh. Great atmosphere.

William Freer: Great local Pub. Staff friendly and has a real traditional feel. Still serving great beer and have cocktails for the Mrs

Yvette Walker: Very welcoming
Yianni Papas: Nice local boozer with good real ales on the taps and a nice bunch of local regulars. The pub dog is really nice and the landlord is ok as well...lol
Elliot H: Great pub and friendly locals and landlord.Check out the cask ales,so good.Great staff to.
Robert Jackson: Just loved this place, a proper pub with friendly locals and cracking real ale on tap. At a time when lots of places are becoming be soulless gastro pubs, supporting places with a real character and individuality is important. Recommended.
Phil Coles: Proper old school pub. Good beers. Sports. Upstairs room for hire
Dave Oram: Very friendly and welcoming local's pub. Still as good as ever.
Mark B: This pub is a real understated gem. Took me 4 years of being in the area to finally discover it on account of the pub history book I'd bought, and you wonder why you'd never been before. My first visit was on a sunny afternoon a little while ago, able to dabble in the SEVEN real ales they had on tap and wash down arguably the best pub snack going in the form of mini poppadoms in a bag with tiny mango chutney. But on the bar, was Heineken 0.0. A permanent offering, and a mental note was made.Roll on Dry January, and a dreary day lead me back here in the hope of a pint of it to scratch that itch. Fresh on the bar after just selling it out the night before, another weird little bag of it was plonked on the machine, and my delicious pint of AF macro lager was ready. The pub itself dates back 1885 where it's listed as being under the ownership of Hodgsons, and in the 1960's, an addition to the eclectic Kingston music scene, Eric Clapton and the Yardbirds are said to have rehearsed in the upstairs function room. After 125 years, it finally achieved independent status, and now regularly features in the GBG.Pool table, two dart boards, big garden, live sport, and the biggest but friendliest pub dog I've ever seen (it's a Newfoundland - I'll dig out a photo for the stories), as well as some chatty locals and friendly staff, make this place an absolute must visit for anyone looking for a pub to tick or pint to have.If for whatever reason I have to move away from the area, I'll be gutted I didn't spend more time here.
Adrian Luckins: A proper pub, pool table & darts, plus a large outside space with really good "beach chalet" shelters with light and heaters. Sport available with several large TV's showing football and other sports.
Kyle Van Aswegen: Nice and chilled pub. Staff are friendly
stephen carrig: Allways a warm welcome 😃😀😀
Geoff Thompson: A excellent range of real ales and ciders .A large interior with a bar in the middle.Snooker table and board games available. A exchange book service too. Also does pizzas to eat in with which where very nice as we tried three out of the four on offerLight music on throughout the pub and TVScreens showing sport but they will switch off if annoying.Well worth going to.
Andrew Tipple: Excellent as always. Great selection of ales, all delivered in superb condition.
Michael Mccarthy: Very nice old-school pub pool table and decent beers
Andy Arden: Watched the 2020/21 Premiership Final! What a game! Well done Quins! Friendly staff and a great place to watch live sport!

Chris Fenton: Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Peter Stamper: Great! Good beer/lager nice sandwiches. Great hospitality. Pity we don't live here,I'd make it my local!!!
Andrew spark: Popular for sport when we visited excellent pint of Guinness.
Peter Bell: Says ‘friendly’ sports bar on the website but the place smelled of urine and was full of the town’s ‘village idiots’! Once I heard the ‘c’ word a couple of times I realised that it wasn’t the place to watch the football with my wife. Sad but I think that’s how the landlord / owner probably likes it ….rough and geezeresque. All in all the place needs a clean to remove all the ‘smells’!
Adam Prior: A good pint to be found here, in the centre of the busy high Street
Louise Frewin: Popped in to write my Christmas cards. Lovely little authentic lady cal pub, I was made to feel very welcome by Gemma, and enjoyed my time there. Thankyou x
ARRAN Oakes: Nice drinking pub
Dympna Oneill: Great place to stop for a drink no food on my vist as the deliver hadn't arrived
Keith Monks: Nice little pub,. Good staff n food.
Ross B: Conveniently located near the Travelodge, it is a bright good looking pub with nice traditional feel. Good range of beers at a good price. I was made to feel most welcome. Enjoyed watching football with the locals.
Sedleigh Adams: Really like this pub. Home from home.
john ingham: A lovely pub in the centre of Kingston with many tv's covering all sports, the choice of beers were cheap compared with many of the other pubs in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place was a very friendly atmosphere. One to visit on your visit to Kingston.
tony Carter: Good choice of beer's and food looked good
Scott Barlow: Nicest pint of moreti I've have for some time.
Abdullah Al Mahmud Farid Aumi: Good place for watching weekend football.
Mark B: This is one of those pubs I've always wanted to go into but never quite plucked the courage to do so. Then once you're in, you wonder why you took so long.Tucked away behind a row of barbers, banks and takeaways, it survived the history destroying ring road creation that encases Kingston. It sticks out despite being hidden, as a building that doesn't quite belong in this part of town. The saloon type doors give way to the bar, a TV on opposite sides of the wall, there's a symmetry to the place, and you're spoiled for choice for where to go. You could people-watch at the right side, a prime spot, quite literally watching the world go by. Or you can go to the left, a favoured position of the locals, presumably due to the proximity to the jukebox, slot machine, toilets and "terrace".I perched on the corner of the bar, couple of pints of Fosters. Cash accepted, both pints south of a fiver. Unfortunately I'd missed the cut off for the sandwiches, genuinely gutted, few places offer this fine line between "pub snack" and "pub food". Intrigued by the need to specify the quality of the 50/50 bread. Sausage and onions will be the priority next time. They show all the football here, a worthy escape from the town centre to sneak in part or all of a game. That being said, I'd probably make a point of coming here specifically for the game. The pints are cheap, the staff are friendly, it's spacious and quiet. It has a predictability to it, a calmness, depending on your objective - whether it's many pints or recovery mode, this place could tick both boxes.Pubs like this are a dying breed, this one has even been knocked down and rebuilt further back (c.1950), had it not, the ringroad would've obliterated it. As so much of Kingston's history gets sold off to make luxury flats and questionably affordable housing, I don't think we'd ever get a say in the matter if this were to go. But I'm glad I've been now, and I'm looking forward to going back.
Nichole Walter: Good vibe. Friendly landlord. Well worth a visit 👍
Ryan Beer: Cheap drinks and friendly service
louise welland: Went in today just for a quick drink on my way home from shopping staff were lovely especially Jemma thank you for making me so welcome.
Terence Sheppard: Pleasant landlordClean surroundings
James Mcmahon: Grate pub 2 go have a beer and chill out staff really good manager knows what hes doin and the local coumster are very welcoming thanks guys for the lovely weekend i had in kingston
