La Femme Physio: what do users think?

Vicky Elmes: I wasn’t previously aware that this support for new mother’s existed and it is such vital care. Claire has helped me manage and significantly release the scar tissue from my C-section which has helped it heal so much more cleanly and smoothly. Having a medical specialist as gentle and understanding as Claire ensuring that my recovery is on track has been so reassuring and I’m so pleased with the way the scar has healed. I would highly recommend Claire.

Hannah Gwynn: I cannot recommend Claire highly enough. I saw her after my second pregnancy with some pelvic floor concerns. She was extremely thorough with her assessment and made me feel so comfortable and completely at ease. Claire is so knowledgeable, kind and supportive and I finally felt listened to and understood. Claire has given me my confidence to exercise back and I would urge anyone to see her!

Jen Chapman: I have been working with Claire both during and post pregnancy. She has been absolutely fantastic. She has made me feel so comfortable and at ease during examinations and listened to my concerns around symptoms. She takes time to explain what she is looking for and what potential issues are. She has tailored her advice and approach for me and known when to push me to do more vs when to be more cautious. She has given me the knowledge and confidence to return to exercising and progress what I can do without making my symptoms worse. Thank you Claire!

Trixie Kixx: I cannot recommend Claire highly enough and regularly tell any woman I know to go and see her! Particularly if they are going to or have had a baby.I saw Claire during and after pregnancy and even after some terrible birth injuries and horrendous back pain, she has helped me back to dancing, running and just existing with so much more ease, confidence and strength. She particularly helped with some tight and sore scar tissue.Claire is instantly calming and incredibly knowledgeable, you feel comfortable and supported to follow a plan to reach your goals. She is a genuine gem and I couldn’t have got through postpartum without her. Solid 5 stars.

Emma Myhill: Booked a ‘Mummy MOT’ with Claire and would HIGHLY recommend for all new mums! Had a very comprehensive assessment with follow up exercises for post-birth. Cannot recommend a post-natal check enough to anyone who has recently given birth and Claire was lovely and really put me at ease.

Ana Carolina Sauer Liberato: Claire is an amazing physio. I had an postnatal MOT with Claire and she did a very comprehensive assessment. We had follow up appointments after to check on my progress. She is very knowledgeable, explains the exercises and your body physiology with details and clarity. She gave me an exercise program that would help me achieve my health goal after pregnancy. It is not easy to find professionals that are so knowledgeable and respectful as Claire.

Michelle: Claire is amazing, she makes you feel so comfortable and at ease, dont know what i would of done without her.Highly recommend.

Stephanie Atkinson: Claire is brilliant! So knowledgeable and kind… her advice and reassurance is just what every new mum needs. 100% recommend

Kate Beamish: After a vaginal birth and forceps delivery I was feeling quite low about my non existent pelvic floor and like I wouldn’t ever feel like myself again. My 6-week GP check left me feeling quite lonely and lost as I was told to ‘just Google it’. I didn’t know that a women’s health physio existed and I’m so pleased that I came across Claire via Instagram and booked the postnatal MOT. I felt so seen and listened to, and so reassured by the end of it, leaving with lots of really interesting knowledge and the confidence to embark on an structured plan to restore my pelvic floor and core muscles, so that I can get back to exercising without worry of prolapse or diastasis recti. Now I’ve had a baby I’m shocked by how little I knew about my own anatomy and physiology, and how little the hospital educated me about how to rehab my body after the birth. If you’re worried about anything I highly recommend a session - Claire is so kind and super professional and knowledgeable, I’m confident I can enjoy my mat leave now and focus on carrying my ever-heavier baby rather than the weight of my anxiety.

Rebecca Poccachard: Highly recommend La Femme Physio. From my first visit I was treated with such care and understanding. I’m a year into treatment and I feel so much better. After a complicated birth I was left with much discomfort and was told by my doctor that I wouldnt get seen or get a referral for a year post-partum. I had to find help and with La Femme I was in the best hands. I have a good understanding now of what my issue is and was even taught how to work on it myself between appointments. I can’t thank La Femme enough for helping me get back to myself.

Sarah Read: I saw Claire during my pregnancy and for rehab after my c-section to get me back into exercising post-pregnancy. Her advice was invaluable. I now feel back to my old self. I have just done my first 5k post-natal - no pelvic floor issues! I highly recommend a session just on the scar as well. I will definitely be going back to Claire if I have another baby. Cannot thank you enough Claire.

meredithloftus: Claire is extremely helpful and professional, would highly recommend to anyone looking for guidance and support with post natal recovery.

Helen Ricketts: I visited Claire regularly through my pregnancy as well as post natal. Claire is extremely knowledgeable and really takes the time to understand your issues so she can provide the best advice and treatment in a friendly and professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend an appointment with Claire.

Anne-Marie McGarry: I went to Claire after having my baby and couldn’t recommend her enough. She helped me build back my confidence post pregnancy. Claire guided me through a series of exercises which made me feel stronger to get back to doing hiit. She’s absolutely fantastic!

Katie Gains: I visited Claire following the birth of my second daughter and I can't recommend her highly enough. Following a difficult birth, Claire gave me the tools to strengthen my pelvic floor and the confidence that I was doing the exercises correctly. Claire is very lovely and put me straight at ease. My sessions with Claire were invaluable and I would encourage any new mum to visit her.

Francesca Green: I cannot recommend Claire highly enough. I was aware how important physio was post birth and keen to get back to fitness in the safest and most effective way possible but didn't feel I was given any information how to when I left hospital. Thankfully I found Claire who has so clearly explained the recovery process, tailored the rehabilitation to my individual goals and post birth needs - and given me such confidence in regaining my fitness and strength. Thank you so much Claire!

Christina Brattwall: I first met Claire after giving birth to my eldest son. The exercises Claire gave me helped reverse damage and regain my strength, both physically and mentally. When I had my second baby, I therefore knew where to go, and I've kept recommending Claire to all the new mums I know. I cannot describe the benefits the exercises gave me or how much it speeded up the healing process. The fact that you need bespoke physio to recover fully from childbirth isn't widely talked about, and I am so grateful I by chance came by Claire as otherwise I would have no doubt suffered in silence. Thank you again Claire from the bottom of my heart!

Ruth Brooker Kidd: Claire has changed my life around. 3 years after having a very large boy, I still had pelvic pain, and after a few sessions with Claire I can walk and exercise pain free. I’d never thought I would look forward to seeing a Womens health physio, but spending time with Claire is such a pleasure, Im sad I don’t have an excuse to go and see her any more. I really can’t recommend her highly enough.

Tamara: I could not recommend Claire highly enough! I had an antenatal physio check up and have since been seeing Claire on a monthly basis post having a C-section. She has been instrumental in my quick recovery and helped me get back to exercise with confidence but in a safe way that suited me.She makes you feel relaxed and listened to, adjusting her approach to suit you.I look forward to our appointments every time.I never hesitate to recommend her to those around me with half of my Bump and Baby group having seen Claire post giving birth!

Charlotte Staples: Claire is a superwoman. After having my first baby a few months ago I was suffering with pelvic pain that made even walking incredibly painful. Claire solved this after one session, single-handedly improving the quality of my life and allowing me to focus on enjoying my baby. I also had the mummy MOT which gave me the tools and knowledge to heal my body properly post-birth, a must have for any new mumwhich is sadly missing from the NHS. I can’t recommend Claire enough, my only regret is that I didn’t start working with her during pregnancy.

Raise Pilates: what do users think?

Rebecca Roberts: Rachel is an amazing Pilates teacher. She really listens to your needs and I always feel more energised and stronger after our sessions. My posture, strength and sleep has improved. Rachel’s encouragement has helped me a lot with my confidence. Every session is different and I always look forward to seeing what challenges the next one brings! Thank you so much Rachel for showing me the wonderful world of Pilates 😊

Monika Tolmie: I love Rachel’s pilates classes. She has an engaging personality, goes at the right pace for me, is able to vary the exercise in the group to people’s individual needs. I feel confident that I am in safe hands in her class. Most importantly, I could see the difference in my back and posture after a few weeks of classes. Thank you, Rachel.

Alexandra G: Rachel is a first class Pilates Teacher! Her classes are varied, perfectly tailored for her clients, and most of all they're fun. What's great is that Rachel offers a varied timetable throughout the week, so you can pick and choose what class to go to each week. I would highly recommend Pilates with Rachel. I have been a client for over a year now and have enjoyed every class I've been to.

Lixiu Phillips: Please keep your online classes going after the pandemic Rachel! X

Vanessa Lewthwaite: Rachel's classes, whether at the beautiful Quaker Centre, or more recently via Zoom, are always well planned, never repetitive and challenging enough to keep you progressing. She provides carefully structured steps, building towards completing the movements correctly and safely. She gives clear instructions and demonstrations and quickly spots when you need to make adjustments to your posture. I highly recommend her classes.

Suzanne Seyghal Buckingham: As someone who has tried lots of pilates classes in the past and is easily bored, Rachel's ability to vary every week's lessons and introduce new moves / equipment is what has kept me coming back for the last two years! Her classes are fun yet challenging, and her attentive style ensures every member of her class gets instruction that is personalised to their needs. Highly recommend!

Ruth Brimacombe: Rachel's a brilliant teacher. I've just started doing her post natal pilates course, having previously done her standard classes, and her measured, gentle approach to the exercises is perfect. I actively enjoy going to her classes and can see the good results!

Magdalene Chu: Rachel is by far the best pilates teacher I've ever had! I started going to Rachel's class when I was pregnant and continued after I had the baby. She has always tailored the class to my condition on the day, and explained very clearly how I should approach each move for the maximum benefit. My scoliosis-related back pain has always reduced after a class and I've always felt less aligned/tall if I missed a session. There were quite a few moves that I can do now that I was not able to do months ago. My husband and I have also had some private classes with Rachel and those have been amazing - Rachel even helped entertain our little one while we were practising! Rachel is fantastic and I can't recommend her enough.

Sarah Bailey: I went along to one of Rachel's trial classes about 12 months after having my first baby. I was still feeling really weak in my core, and realised I needed some focussed help so that I could get back to my usual levels of running, cycling and gardening and, of course, carrying around my ever growning toddler. I had done several years of reformer pilates pre-pregnancy and hadn't really got on with mat work previously, but Raise Pilates was a revelation. Rachel uses different tools every week to help you find proper connection with your core muscles - rings, bands, weights, even dusters: suddenly the mat work exercises make sense! Classes are kept quite small so that Rachel has the opportunity to make sure everyone is properly aligned. She also has an amazing way of explaining what you should be feeling to get the right connection, especially in her beginners class. There are always options for keeping things easy or giving yourself more of a challenge as you get stronger. She has also been brilliant, supporting me discreetly to continue practicing through the first few months of my second pregnancy.

Lizzie Stokes: I have done Pilates on and off for several years and tried a few different teachers. Rachel is the best teacher I have had. Her classes vary each week, she has a lovely light-hearted manner, and is encouraging. I have definitely gained strength and Rachel seems to take on board thoughtfully personal issues and goals. I look forward my Pilates class every week and miss it in the holidays!

Marie Jones: I was new to Pilates starting with the beginners class then moving up to the more advanced. Rachel's teaching has really assisted me to improve my posture, strength and flexibility which has carried over into my everyday life. Every class is different, well planned and executed and usually involves lot's of interesting Pilates props and toys! I'm really glad I started my Pilates journey, I thoroughly recommend Rachel as a teacher and am looking forward to many more challenging but enjoyable classes.

Nuffield Health Kingston Fitness & Wellbeing Gym: what do users think?

Milan I: As a new member who's had two two-hour sessions in the past couple of days, I'm really liking this gym. It's quiet around 8pm, with only about 10% equipment in use more so on weights then on cardio equipment, but still plenty of space.I tried a Pilates class for the first time, easily booking it on the same night with a few spots still available. The instructor, Femina, was excellent. I'm definitely planning to do it again. The swimming pool was also quiet. I swam in my own lane for half an hour. The Jacuzzi was full, and the sauna and steam room were little busy but still had room and I didn't need to wait to use them. The showers are clean and well-maintained. Additionally, every staff member I've interacted with has been helpful and polite. From my point of view there are only a couple of things that could be better. The gym and studio temperatures felt a bit too warm, and the dressing room could really use more bench space to avoid crowding. While I've noticed some one star reviews, I think they overlook the hard work of the young, perhaps underpaid staff who keep this place clean and functional, which I genuinely appreciate.Overall, while it might be more of a 4.5 star experience, I'm giving it 5 stars to balance out the overly negative reviews. The positives here definitely outweigh the minor issues.

Conor F-R: The guy working at the cafe at 1:30pm on 28th November was super friendly, polite, and helpful. Great staff.

Liz Thorpe: I have been a member here for years and the classes and staff are excellent, from Dawn and Ella on reception, Debbie B in pump, Natalie B and Caroline in pilates, Angela in RPM, Ruth in barre and Martine in body balance, such brilliant instructors. They are all so friendly, helpful, knowledgable and motivating . I would strongly recommend this gym. Thank you team!!

Busylizzy Kingston: what do users think?

Chelse'a Chiappa: . My daughter was 8 weeks out when we started and we are still currently members and attend the toddler classes

Fran Amaral: Such an amazing way to get out and about with your baby, meet like-minded mums and do some exercise and fun activities. Thoroughly loved the experience and variety of classes from mummy and me yoga to baby music, aeorbics and baby yoga. And of course the babies love it too!!! Facilities are great as well. Really recommend.

Tatiana Jardan: I highly recommend Busylizzy! I had so much fun during my six months with the club. I had unlimited membership which is totally worth it as there are a number of classes for mommies and babies to choose from nearly every day of the week. We tried a variety and I can certainly say that all instructors are professional and caring, classes are fun, premises are nice and the atmosphere is great! Everyone’s so understanding if a baby is crying and needs a feed or crawling everywhere stealing bottles of water. I particularly enjoyed Pilates, indoor fitness and aerobics, and my baby boy loved his baby boogie and baby karma classes. Feel sad to leave!

Suzanna Travers: I can highly recommend busy lizzy! From the friendly staff, to the great teachers, to the classes themselves and to all the new friends I have made, I really loved being part of this great club!Unfortunately we had to leave due to me going back to work and having to settle in my little one with her childminder, but we spent nearly every day there from July to October and I got fitter thanks to the aerobics and the bootcamp classes and my little one got her fun through yoga, music, boogie and sign class. It's a brilliant concept and I am hoping that once the mini classes are up and running and I'm fully settled into our new routine in january I will be able to come back to some classes!

Amy Phillpot: I joined Busylizzy Kingston when my daughter was 3 months old. I love the variety of classes on offer as she really enjoys the baby classes and I have loved getting fit again with the amazing classes for mums. The easy to use app is brilliant and gives the flexibility you need as a new mum. Great instructors, convenient venues and a good way to meet other like minded mums. Would hugely recommend

Tara Richardson Al-baali: Amazing club, flexible and so much choice in terms of classes that are available. The staff/instructors and members are all so lovely and it's got such great vibes and atmosphere. Also I must mention the facilities are amazing! Clean, spacious and newly built too - What more could you ask for!

Sandra Hopkins: A great mix of classes! Loving having something fun to do each day. It's a great mixture of classes for my baby and fitness for me. Bootcamp is a great first postnatal class and I feel I'm really working hard.
