Gibson Lane: what do users think?
Josh Skinner: We recently bought and sold through Gibson Lane and they provided a great service in all aspects. Wendy (Progression Manager) in particular was diligent and professional and helped make sure the process went as smoothly as possible.
Adriano Ros: I have used Gibson Lane's Kingston upon Thames office to buy and sell property. The staff are always helpful, professional and approachable. House buying is never straightforward but I would definitely recommend GL if moving in Kingston.
Daniel Barrow: I think this was the fourth time I have used Gibson Lane over the past 20 years and it's always been the best part of moving house. Professional, honest, friendly and organised. Thoroughly recommended.
James McMullen: Gibson Lane have been great throughout the buying process. They are very knowledgeable of the local area and give great personalised service, more so than what we had experienced from some of the larger nationwide or London wide agents.
Callum Ewing: Gibson Lane were extremely helpful and diligent all the way through the process and we’re excellent at keeping us in the loop and up to date. We will definitely use them again if we decide to move.
Johnny: We’d absolutely recommend Gibson Lane, and found Wendy and Tom in particular really helpful, professional and friendly :)
RaJ Chaudhary: I have used their service to get an apartment. Its really irritating service and i am telling because of the below reasons. Once you signed the contract they won't bother about it, you have to call them/chase them for everything. They don't respond regarding any issue until you call them multiple times. there is no feedback/escalation loop, So you have taken their service you are tracked into loop. My property is a new development, and it has been 15days, i can't see this property name on the government sites. So i am unable to get any service such as Broadband/Kids School/NHS/Garbage collection/Electricity/Gas bills. And whenever i call them, they will say, we are working on this. All of these are laterally creating hazard to my family(couple+2kids).So overall i will never recommend to take their services.
jane mac: Wonderful service from Gibson Lane at an incredibly tricky time for the housing market. Good, sensible advice at all stages from Neil Gibson and so many in the sales and rental teams, with Tom Sowton and Wendy Curtis particularly helpful in finalising the sale and chasing up a myriad of important details as the process went on. A lovely couple will take over my late father's wonderful riverside road home, at a fair price for all. Thank you to everyone at Gibson Lane!
Maureen Osborne: As a repeat customer of Gibson Lane over the years, I value their advice, guidance, local knowledge and understanding of the property market. The Team ensured I was kept up to date on any and all developments and communicated clearly at every stage of the process. I am very grateful for their help and would strongly recommend their services to others looking to buy or sell in the Kingston upon Thames and surrounding areas.
T w: Great experience working with Louis, Dawn and team to secure our new home in Kingston. We are new to the area, so it was great to have their expertise, extensive knowledge and insight in helping us find the right house in an area that suited our needs. They were super responsive and professional, but also friendly and personable and ensured the process was as smooth and as stress-free as possible. Would highly recommend them and thanks so much for all of your help!
Christine Overby: Excellent team that guided us through both a home sale and purchase in the area. Expert advice for holding our chain together. We had first bought from them a decade ago and they remembered us when we came back. Thank you Neil, Tom, and all the team!
Nikkita R: We hope to use Gibson Lane again in the future. Neil was always professional and courteous throughout our long search for our first family home. Highly recommend.
David Newell: We are delighted that we chose Gibson Lane to sell my father’s house. Tom came to the house and explained that sensible pricing is key, this certainly proved right. His local knowledge is excellent. We received an offer quickly and Wendy worked very hard to further the negotiations. I can highly recommend the excellent team at Gibson Lane.
Sarah Stirling: We have been very happy with the service we received at Gibson Lane particularly in respect of their office doing all they can to liaise with everyone to speed through the sales process. The photos were excellent though there was a bit of a problem initially getting the brochure/online details just as we wanted them to appear in order to maximise the appeal of our lovely flat. It is obviously vital to get this absolutely right which GL did after a few initial hiccups.
Bob Roberts: Professionalism, patience and first-class service from the beginning to the end of the sale.Always felt in safe and capable hands.
Richard Dorricott: I would not recommend using Gibson Lane. Obviously, as tenants, we don't have as much power to choose who we go to, and sometimes you have to go wherever properties are available but, if you can, steer clear at all costs. They have a Property Manager, which is a joke. Our bedroom window broke after we moved in and it took them - I'm not kidding - six months to 'resolve' the issue. (I put 'resolve' in quote marks because, honestly, they barely fixed the thing.) It was sealed shut throughout the entirety of the summer, which lead to us sleeping on a mattress in the living room due to the heat and lack of ventilation. During this time, we would email them fortnightly for updates, which is when they stopped responding to our messages.Eventually, they agreed to reduce our rent by - get this - £50 a month, which in no way made up the inhabitable bedroom. At the end of the tenancy, they were asked to provide a reference to our new estate agents which, to their credit, they did. They had to be prompted several times, though. My wife called them to enquire about the reference and someone shouted at her down the phone and hung up. The next day, they provided it.Honestly, by the end, Gibson Lane weren't even trying to hide their absolute contempt for us. We complained about the window - which, by the way, the contractor confirmed wasn't because of us (the window was just faulty) - and, because of that, they took every opportunity to treat us like garbage. So yeah. Go with Foxtons or something!
Mike Wild: The team worked hard, especially the Sales Progression Manager who sorted a major problem with one of the solicitors involved. Thank you.
Sara Morton: As an estate agent myself my expectations were high, but Gibson Lane did not disappoint. They were very professional throughout and I would absolutely recommend them as excellent local independent agents.
Melanie Dacosta: Have been dealing with Gibsonlane for over 10 years, buying an investment property and renting the property with them and finally selling through them. They are very professional as a whole company.Always helpful and prompt.can't praise them enough.
irene cerquaglia: Overall we had a positive experience with Gibson Lane. They have a substantial market share in the area we were looking to buy so we were able to see many properties relevant to our budget and needs. We were part of a chain which in itself can be a very stressful process, however, this was made much easier by Wendy, who looks after their post-sale activities and can't recommend her enough. She was absolutely fab!One piece of advice would be to give tips to sellers on how to best present a property before putting it on the market. We felt a bit rushed by the process and, in hindsight, we would have probably spent some time and money to ensure our property was market ready.
Mark Hallam: We bought our first home in Kingston through Gibson Lane back in 2007 and the team were amazing! When the time came to upgrade this year, Neil Gibson and his team were our first choice. We found our dream home which they were listing, and they supported us with the sale of our existing home. This was a super challenging time to buy or sell with the economic climate being as tough as it was. The team listed our house and within 5 days we were under offer. Due to interest rate changes our first offer fell through a few months later and we had to sell again. Gibson lane never faltered and within a week we were sold again. When we got to the final stages of the process, we encountered a “technical” challenge with the house we were buying, and Neil and his team were just incredible with the level of support and professionalism they showed to us. With their support we got through this final hurdle, and we’ll be eternally grateful to Gibson Lane for their care and support. We genuinely cannot say enough about how fantastic this team is - their database of buyers, their market knowledge, their network of movers and brokers … the whole team is just genuinely awesome!Neil, Daisy, Tom, Wendy, Caroline … thank you so much.
