The Works: what do users think?

John Wayne: Good value, nice layout, and served by a charming young lady. Can't remember her name, but she had a low fringe, and was very funny.Went above and beyondGive her a pay raise!

Julian Holden: Cheap but not high quality art supplies great if you want to play around with oils acrylics etc without spending a lot of money Also sells discountbooks of the sort that you'd give as a gift to

A A: Amazing prices, friendly staff and variety of products.

Andy Roberts: Great shop!

Purple Queen: Fantastic shop. Helpful, polite staff who seem happy at work

suresh kaul: This shop is a saviour…really nice craft and diy collections..loads of toys to select from…nice colluof books as well and finally at a very reasonable price

Peter Quigley: I did not need to ask a member of staff for any assistance and that is why I have only awarded a four star rating. The store offers books, stationary, art supplies, craft supplies and other seasonal offerings and outside of the box gift ideas. Today I purchased some stationary as was slightly cheaper than some nearby competitors and was pleased with the range and prices on offer. I have purchased from the works before. Online shopping is available for home delivery, but cannot be certain about picking up online orders from the store. Well worth a visit if you are a student or have creative hobbies. Worth a browse for gifts and stocking fillers at Christmas.

Praszath Uthayashankar: Great choices of kids books and play things

Barry Donovan: Decent well presented branch of The Works but doesn’t have a very wide selection of books.

Kazi Juwell Abbas: A great place to buy kids gifts, stationary, toys, books, art & craft for a good bargain. Books and stationary for adults too.Kids will love spending time in there.

Piranha Comics: what do users think?

Snipey: Came here last month to buy a comic book. The guy working there was super helpful and friendly and recommended me some comics. Worth the trip.

Carl McMullen: I highly recommend Piranha Comics. David’s knowledge is top. Every recommendation has been spot on.

Laura: It was our first visit here today. My son loves Marvel and I promised him I would take him to a proper comic book store. David was lovely and so helpful and he gave us the time to advise what to buy as beginners! Thanks David. We will definitely come back!

MICKY RANDALL: I'm based in East London and I still love to visit this store whenever I'm in the area. I can confidently say this is one of my favourite comic book stores in London. The store offers a great selection of titles, and is very strong when it comes to it's range of new releases. Whether you're picking up your very first comic book or have been a collector for some time, the staff will treat you all the same so don't be hesitant to ask questions! All the staff are very well informed and familiar with the products they sell. David recently has helped me by suggesting some awesome reads which otherwise I would probably not have the left the store with on my own accord. Love it here, 100% worth checking out! 🤙

Jamal W: Friendly staff who actually consume what they sell

rawn jackson: Excellent !

Chris Bovenizer: Lovely shop, guy behind the counter was more than helpful and gave some great reading suggestions.

Eleni Delacour: are the best people for the job.

Brandon Poole: Friendly store with helpful, knowledgeable, inviting staff.

Alex Gilding: Small but lovely shop with an owner who really loves all of the material and is able to give great recommendations and discussion!

Matilda Huggett: Staff where very helpful and friendly and being relatively new to the comic book scene there recommendations where helpful and didn’t just focus on the most expensive option. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go there again.

Evabela Costa: Very nice

Mark Bertenshaw: Small, but well-stocked comic book shop near the market place. One wall of recent issues, one wall of action-figures, and another wall of collections. The major US publishers, DC, Marvel, Image & Dark Horse are well-represented, with a lot of indie publishers. The staff at the store are very knowledgeable, and provide good recommendations for books.

Oxfam Bookshop: what do users think?

Read By Roxanne: This little bookstore is one of my favorites, the staff are super friendly, always helpful and know their stuff when it comes to the written word. The genre sections are sorted so well they literally the best of any charity shop I've ever seen. You do have to spend a little time hunting while you're in this shop but that's the best part for any secondhand book lover. 5stars all ground and I recommend anyone looking for a secondhand book treasure to check it out.

Rani: Lovely, beautifully arranged bookshop.

Hossein Jafari (HJ): It was a great experience visiting Oxfam Kingston bookshop, the staff were very helpful and friendly♥️🙏🏻♥️

Laurence Ferrier: My favourite shop In Kingston by far. Clean, tidy with the books nicely arranged and categorised. I always come out with a book, most recently a keenly priced copy of Dickens's 'Great Expectations '. Nice staff too.

James Preston: I had frequented this establishment in the past and made a number of purchases, however today I was greeted with the most putrid stench of body odour - even with a face mask on I couldn't bear it and had to leave immediately. A quiet word ought to be had with the staff.

Stuart Hodgetts: Great little bookshop, always filled with treasures, unique books - great selection!!

Philip Hall: My favourite second hand bookshop in West London.

Gian Kaur: Varied selection of books useful now libraries are closing

Peregrine Roscorla: Lovely store, friendly staff, good selection

Sean Smart: Excellent second hand bookshop which often has a good selections of used DVDs too, plus sometimes vinyl and comics. Very friendly staff.

Rob Sedgwick: Love the themed window displays. Full of interesting non fiction books, and plenty of fiction too.

Raymond Jenkins: Keep your eyes peeled and find a bargain

Holly Jackson: I've been buying from these guys since 2020 as well as going to their gigs since 2022 and have never had a bad experience - all my orders have been fulfilled including personally signed stuff. That being said; of course a tiny record store like this is going to have some logistical issues with some artists refusing to sign over a certain amount of records etc but I feel like that shouldn't be directed at the store!

Richard Hayler: Great shop but also a great gig arranger for Kingston
