The Hippodrome: what do users think?
Milan Jaklic: Good place if you are a student
Dean F: Good and intimate venue for concerts. Although only good if you are in front of the crowd as the interior is not designed to fully surround the stage. A bit awkward if you are in the back.
Miguel Dickson: This place is a little inconsistent so you have to pick the wright night but it can be a lot of fun.
Esmee Ng: Poorly organised event to see snow patrol .
Elisha Bowers: Offers a variety of music over the different nights of the week. Averagely priced for drinks and entry is often incredibly cheap when booked at least a few hours in advance of arrival.
Maja Andersson: Me and my friends came at the same time and we were told the entry was 7 when we paid it was 10 but only for some of us. Only because it was 00.00 when we were about to pay only because the security was super slow.... also they were super rude about it.. Will not go here again...
Robert Neighbour: Not cheap accoustics not great
Theo Shantonas: Had a real problem here with the cloak room staff, gave me ticket to the member off staff to get my coat back and he went off came back and said it wasn’t there? I said it must be and got quite annoyed with him until another member of staff intervened. They took the ticket and immediately returned with my coat?! The member off staff who said it wasn’t there proceeds to pull funny faces at me and give me the finger on both hands.I have included a picture of this tool maybe the club can look into it
K S: Amazing venue!
Christopher Elgar: You don't understand a good night until you've been New Slang.
Marc Todd: Went here or the first time last night. I fell in love with the place straightaway. With all of Londons clubs closing down, this is a real treat.
Ewa Herbut-Szustkowska: Cool..
Joseph Rogers: Went to see Fall Out Boy (don’t ask) yesterday at this venue. Never been to the venue before. We got a drink, wasn’t a bad price. A double rum and coke in a regular sized coca cola cardboard cup was £6 so kind of a bargain. However, the venue has many nooks and crannies that you’d expect to get a view of the stage. NOPE!We ended up in the VIP bar standing on seats behind the glass windows so you couldn’t hear the music properly. The picture attached was the best view we got.Won’t be coming back.
Chris Lewis: Place was proper filthy. The bar spent all night pouring drinks from plastic bottles into plastic cups so all you got was froth after a very long wait. The toilets were the worst I have seen anywhere. Very poor indeed.
Dean: Not a great mix off music.
Chris: Pretty bad club. Do not recommend
Chalios: It's like The Jeremy Kyle Show waiting room.
Filipa RT: Went to see Alt J here with Banquet Records and I won't be coming back. People who had bought tickets many months beforehand were not warned that there were two different shows, as a result many arrived at 6pm (the time that was widely advertised everywhere) only to be turned away and told that their ticket was only for the 8pm session. When standing in line it started to pour and there was 0 protection from the rain. When we finally managed to get in for the second session, the band took almost 2 hours to appear and played a tiny set (well under 1 hour long). It ended so abruptly that everyone in the audience was looking around at each other completely confused.I have no idea what happened. It honestly looked like it wasn't the bands' fault, since it's ridiculous that they would even consider playing two whole shows back to back. I'll see them live again, but never in The Hippodrome or with Banquet Records. At least the security people and the girl at the cloak counter were nice, but they looked absolutely exhausted. They must hate that place too.Xoxo never again.
Thomas Hobman: Alt J gig oversold with not enough viewable area to see the stage. If you're going to do concerts please only sell to the area you can still see the stage! Thanks
Ollie Tiley: Went to see a great band perform here and was disappointed. Sticky floors, awful sound, card machines not working (atm was broken too), filthy toilets. Might be ok as a club, but not as a venue.
Badge Badger: I went to Kingston Hippodrome to see the band Everything Everything on 17.8.17 and ended up leaving early. The quality of the sound was awful, with many songs being plagued by feedback and once a very loud pop that sounded like a speaker had exploded. It was so bad that the band hesitated for a second before carrying on. The main vocals were practically inaudible. I have seen Everything Everything many times before so I know how they usually sound. This wasn't the band's fault, but the either the venue's equipment or the crew.Furthermore the bars were cash only and the ATM was out of service so we couldn't buy drinks. The carpet was very sticky, the toilets quite dirty and the whole place felt very seedy. I won't be going back.

Ram Jam Records: what do users think?
Michael Anderson: TLDR: An absolute must if you are in Kingston Upon Thames or even close by.This is such an intimate spot. It is behind a relatively nondescript door at the back of the main restaurant just before the washrooms/WC/Toilets. The space is extremely small but the party is lively. A good spot for two people or one. I wouldn't recommend a big party. There just isn't the space. The live entertainment was excellent. The bar tenders/servers were really polite and friendly and the drinks were flowing.I could easily see myself being a regular here.I would give six stars if I could.
Deuda Sangalo Music: Verry nice 👍
Divij: What a lovely place. Always fun to go there . We been regular for few years now. Staff is polite.
Rosemary Wright: Cosy intimate atmosphere at the back of The Grey Horse pub, we came here to watch a live band and were delighted with the entertainment and staff. Tickets were £14 each but worth it
Gregg Dalmar: If u haven't been to Ram Jam on a Saturday night, your seriously missing out on a fantastic evening of live music and great food. Get ur feet out of your big slipper and go there. We loved it. Fantastic night last night with a truly great end to end production. Thanks!
Vineet Dhar: Nice ambience. Great place for taking film shots, and music They've got a full stack drums and a classic piano amongst other instruments which I liked.
David Rovics: Great live music venue attached to a great pub with stunningly good barbecue, and huge side orders that a vegan can love, too. Excellent menu for paleo, too.
Liz Jones: Amazing little venue with so much atmosphere, friendly and a very special vibe.
Steve Gaughran: Great evening, going again this Saturday......
S W: Great venue, there was lots of seating available and wonderful decor and ambiance. Saw a fabulous band here and really enjoyed the night, the acoustics.in the venue were great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The variety of drinks was as expected and not over priced at all. I would gladly go here again.
Elbert Thompson: Great food. This from am American!
Debbie Foskett: Small room but has a stage & it's own bar. Good entertainment.
Błażej Pajda: Very nice small concert room. Extreme feeling.
Hugh Langhorne: Great music and atmosphere
Jack Bailey (Mr.Magoo): Great food good entertainment..had a great dance..
Derek Tanner: Some very good acts
Fat Tbastard: Well run old fashioned music venue
Joshua Lee: Fantastic little venue in the back of the Grey Horse Pub. Jazz on thursdays and Blues at the weekend, with special events throught the year. The drinks from the main pub can be brought into the club, with a vast choice of whiskeys and cocktails that perfectly accompany the music. Lovely atmosphere and range of acts, there will always be something fantastic on or new to discover. Highly recommended.
Mark Chester: I feel privileged to have such quality talent at a venue so close to me. I'm fairly sporadic in my visits due to shift work and general lack of organisation on my part but I really admire & enjoy the Thursday and Saturday Jazz events at the Grey Horse
Victor Bynoe: Fantastic live music with good food.
Marianne A.: Really great atmosphere and a good night out! Ram Jam is the music area of The Grey Horse, so make sure you book the right section! When we went, there was a live band playing called The Good Stuff, who were brilliant! Tickets were £10 per person online. The food here is also really good. Our waiter recommended the Jacobs Ladder Beef Rib, which was falling off the bone and smoked with a rich bbq sauce! Great drinks selection too - Bourbons don't have a menu but ask the waiter because the collection is extensive!
