Walton on Thames Camping and Caravanning Club Site: what do users think?
Christine Richardson: Lovely Coronation weekend, tranquil site on the river Mole.
Mandy Johnstone: We went to make enquiries and the manageress was very nice and helpful.
Alan Wildman: Ten minute walk for the bus to Hampton Court.Lovely green site.
Clive Sturgess: Really peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by open space and close to river. Not far from bus and a bit further to railway station.
Edvam Lima: I spent a day there! When it is night, it is very dark, there is no lighting, there are no bathrooms to shower, the playground for children is ridiculously small, there are only 2 toys and there are no night lights there and no cameras, there is a lack of investment to offer comfort to the users, there is no restaurant, bar or cafe in short only has the place for you to park your motorhome or caravan.Dog-friendliness: YesPicnic area: Yes
Music Pictures and the Road: ProsQuiet campsiteRiver Mole viewsChemical and waste disposalHook upsWater tapsReasonable easy access from the main roadConsNo toilet facilities+- 2 miles from town markets
Kathy Hogg: Lovely quiet site ,, ,we came last year and again this year ,don't feel the site is as well loved and cared for as it was last year ,need a car as nearest shops quite a long way ,good for dog walking
Michael White: Great location, no showers or toilets.
Steve Falvey: Great location for Hampton Court and the Thames Path.Really peaceful with some pitches beside the River Mole.No facilities block so you need to be completely self-contained.
Theodoros-Θεόδωρος Nikolarakos-Νικολαράκος: Helpful....excellent staff.... best place ever.....,!!!!
sally huggett: Just got to love it hereMy husband has been coming to this site since 1973
Paul Beck: Great club site. Was fairly quiet and campers and wardens all polite and helpful. Facilities were clean and in good order. We had a great week.
Clive Beesley: Used this several times. Lovely reception and great value.
Tom Hyland: Lovely helpful staff. Thank you.
Kenneth Harris: Good site we'll run.Entrance road really needs sorting widening or more passing points
Mark Ward: A pretty big site. Somepitches have Riverside views, which is very pleasant. No toilet or shower facilities, so bring your own. The location is great for Hampton Court and Kingston. Easy access to the Thames and good walks around Moseley Common.
Critic Derby: no facilities and is full of potholes , it has no lights at night either .the wardens are begrudging and offer no help whatsoever, they are jobsworths, officious and rude .I was rudely shouted at and was actually intimidated and terrified of the warden called Steve at this site:- I’m disabled and arrived one minute after their 11pm curfew when they lock the barrier , he made me park my car several metres from my caravan on the outside of the campsite , so I had to walk in the pitch dark with all my bags and my little dog , who he had also terrified so much she wouldn’t get out the car so I had to carry her .I ended up falling in a pothole injured my hip and knee. The next day when I asked to record this as an accidentHe didn’t show me one once of compassion or ask how I was or apologise .Instead he tried to infer that I was making it all up .This site has no washing facilities or toiletsSo wardens have little to do other than serve the campers . This Steve should be working in a prison not a campsite !
Jim Burdis: Only 4 star because no facilities but You are told that
Nick Chalkley: Not an easy site to find & a difficult access road 😞
Gillian Davis: Would not recommend that site the man had bad attitude when you go on holiday should good welcome we will not be go there again and other people said it too me about he attitude
Michael Regola: Lovely place to stay, easy access in and out of London would recommend a visit. Staff are nice and friendly. 😊. Remember it doesn't have toilets or showers, so keep this in mind if staying.

Laleham Camping Club: what do users think?
Mark Davis: Arrived to be met with a very happy wee wumman who was very accommodating and chatty. Pitch was nice grass cut to a good length. Clean toilet blocks with brilliant rain showers that felt great. I would reccommend for a very great price.
Kirsty Fraser: Great campsite, showers were very hot and there were facilities to wash your dishes. Highly recommended!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Steff Davis: Perfect campsite!Great pitches, nice hard standing with short grass. Owner was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Toilets are high standard, clean and tidy with plug sockets for shavers/hair driers/ straighteners. Overhead rain showers give a luxurious feel with lovely warm water included in the very modest £15pn. There is a kitchen area with three double sinks, washers and driers (extra charge) a toaster and a kettle! Campsite is right on the Thames and there is lovely parakeets in the trees! All in all a perfect trip!
Tom Gough: What a great find! Great location right by the river Thames, showers were hot and good facilities for washing your dishes. We were allowed to stay all afternoon the next day to enjoy the sun. Will definitely be back!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Philip Littlefield: Nice camp
Brett Meese: Lovely site, brilliant location right next to the River Thames. Site staff friendly and couldn’t do enough. This place is a hidden gem and the toilets and showers very clean and water red hot. This will be a regular place to visit for us.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Likes To Travel: I couldn't book online and just called for the reservation without any email or anything for confirmation I felt a bit "naked".But entering was no problem. Only the lady didn't want to take my older money although it still was perfectly valid :-/The campsite has a super handy setup where the RVs/vans are arranged around a circle with the playground in the middle so I could easily watch my little one play and have ease of mind.Facilities were clean, maybe not super modern, but they don't have to be.
Teresa Swinford: Good value for money. Clean shower block, wash room etc. Simple but friendly site. Amazing ladies that run the site. Highly recommend to everyone. I've loved my stay here
Rossco: Shocking condition of a campsite. Toilet block was absolutely disgusting and clearly wasn’t cleaned more than once a week. Booked in to the site well in advance and was quoted £70ish and when we arrived she said it was over £100 as they had noted the dates wrong and asked for more money which was an issue in itself because they only accepted cash. The site was nearly empty and they were militant about where we placed our tents (which was in a part of ground that was just mud and not grass). Owners were extremely rude to us on arrival when politely asking where I can park the car. Which is in an obscure car park miles away from our tent. The site was blessed with the stench of the old devils lettuce as well so that was nice. Right under a flight path as well which understandably isn’t under their control but worth bearing in mind.Honestly for the price of the site vs the quality of what you get it’s really not great. Ignoring the attitude of the owners. Would absolutely not recommend.
Silke Rademaker: nice campside very friendly personal always someone to speak to if you need help we will be coming back again
Rachel Beacher: Not bad the staff are happy to help. The only thing was the toilet block was not in great condition and full of cobwebs and spiders . Great location next to the Thames for boating and swimming.
Richard Smith: Great location. It could be so wonderful. But the shower facilities are too small for the site. So are overused and therefore a bit grotty.
Matt Woodley: Very rude and sarcastic owners run down toilets with spider webs dominant all over i reported a wasps nest but got told basically what did I want them to do about it as they don't deal with wasps or nests certainly won't be back even cut holiday short due to this don't go here
liam rickard: Cheap, good facilities and very close to the Thames. Docking a star because the owner is so unbelievably grumpy it really doesn't start your weekend away on a positive note dealing with someone like that
RTM TM: Perfect location even to visit London. Nice environment and villages around.Ladies running the camping are unhelpfull and very unfriendly.Expensive and dirty toillets
Rebecca Moor: The owner is quite militant and not at all friendly. Moaning about everything. Didn’t allow us showers after swimming as we were half an hour after checking out time. No need for that. Had to drive home damp.Nice location though on river Thames. Facilities ok too. Make sure you park in their car park and not the one next door which you have to pay for. Not sure why you can’t keep car by your tent?
Ian Cooper: Arrived and was met by an EXTREMELY rude old woman called Maggie, who was obviously in a foul mood before we opened our mouthed. no help what so ever, flat out refused any entry and told us the half empty site was closed due to no room, even though there clearly was a mass of spaces. Actively turned away business in a very rude way and said that she and the warden had no control over bookings or website details. Why would any business want this type of welcome for customers. We have a 21 plate motorhome, 2 normal people, not like we were turning up in a scrap heap or towing a 1970s caravan that was falling to pieces.Horrible woman as a gate keeper. Avoid.
leewevs: Just stayed 2 nights when coming back from Newquay to break up journey and visited Legoland. This was one of those places I was just intrigued to see other peoples reviews after my stay. I don’t normally write reviews as it’s normally down to own personal experiences and may not reflect your stay. The two ladies who run it seem nice enough. The site is very uneven with the old sleeping policeman to keep your speed down however the track around the site does that in its own right. The actual plots seem flat enough without causing to much of a problem. The electric hook up wasn’t upto much as our kettle kept tripping the electrics- admittedly it was a household one and not a camping one. The kids play area was ok as long as it wasn’t wooden as everything that was seems to be deteriorated. Didn’t use chemical waste area but seemed ok. No grey water disposal- just empty onto the ground. In fairness the grass needed a good water but feel that the next person who camps on my plot doesn’t really want to see the remains of last nights dinner as minor as it maybe. The showers seem clean and showers nice and hot. Occasionally got a whiff of a sweet herb smell if the wind was blowing in the right direction and my 6yr old kept on saying “that’s the smell again daddy- what is it?” Which I replied “someone’s growing some ‘erb” which was amusing. Bikes are not allowed to be riden on site due to safety however a few wooden apparatus in the childrens play area are a “claim up” waiting to happen and due to no vehicles onsite unnecessarily I couldn’t see a problem- but rules are rules. The site location is great for legoland and Thorpe park and right on the banks of the Thames. Feel the site however needs a bit of money spent on it as feel nothing has been done since the 90s. I did read a review about the biting ants left 3 yrs ago and confirm that they are still present. Aftercoming back after a day at Legoland found an Army of them making themselves at home with the missus frantically trying to swat them with the tea towel- which did amuse me untilshe turned her attention on me for laughing at her. On the whole I probably wouldn’t stay here again and if some investment was poored into the site I believe it would be a goldmine due to its location.

Horsley Camping and Caravanning Club Site: what do users think?
Jane Hanbury: We stopped for one night on return from Europe before continuing our journey home. This is our second stay at Horsley. Lovely site with a lake situated in the middle and fishing rights.Good facilities, very clean with excellent showers. Also a games/reading/information room. As our stay was during half term there were more tents and families on site this time. As noted in the previous review there is building work going on around the site but this didn't bother us as we arrived at tea time and were up and off early the following morning. There are ruts and potholes in the lane on the approach to the site.
Simon Bradbury: This is a camping and caravan site. It is very clean and quietLocation: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Great value …More

Graham Ellis: Great place personally I haven't got a caravan but visit my dad there, fishing great first come first serve for the lakeside bookings plenty of wildlife. On my visit this time to see dad unexpectedly there is a building site next door building 35 houses so it's noisey spoiling the place . My dad said the caravan camping club should have warned him when booking.
Jean Roberts: Fantastic site, lovely showers nice hot water, pleasant staff very friendly, love this site plenty of good walks. The Lake is very pretty. Very well kept site.Very relaxed site .

Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park, Edmonton: what do users think?
andrew richardson: Good campsite for visiting London. Toilets/showers could do with a spruce up but more than adequate.Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
GeoFS Aviator: Nice place, service and location. Would go again!Walkability: Nice paths around the campsiteNoteworthy details: Bring a tin barbeque
Scott Hackwood: Toilets needed more attention but otherwise was a fab site, great location, and friendly staff.Nearby activities: Bus service stops practically on the campsite, only a short journey to the train station which will get you right in to London.Playground: Excellent facilities for kids.Dog-friendliness: Lots of space to walk dogs.
Little Miss Sparkle: Friendly staff, all facilities you would expect, you can hire a bike to go along the canal. Unfortunately is is about a mile to walk to the canal even though it’s right next to the site. The local area doesn’t have much to recommend it but it’s easy to get to central London and the site is pleasant to relax in.
Helena Eloise: We stayed during the coronation weekend for 3 nughts. The price was very reasonable but we had booked last year before we knew the coronation was happeningWhen we arrived there was an issue in reaching the EHU as everyone had for some reason plugged into our allocated pitch. This was eventually sorted. The shop was handy but extremely expensive and limited choice. The location was a little further out of central London and costs around £30 for an Uber getting in and £44 coming back after midnight and is about a 40 min drive, so male sure you allow travel time. There is a golf course with lake we had a walk around which was pleasant enough. The main issue for us was the cleanliness of the shower rooms which were extremely poor. There was a policy on acceptable noise levels between 8am-11pm but kids were running around screaming at 7am!If your a golfer and have kids this is probably your idea of a good time.Restrooms: Poor cleaning. I assume as it was a busy weekend this was not accomadated for. This is part customers fault not putting rubbish in bins or flushing toilets but the facilities cleanliness was extremely poor. Floors were dirty in showers.
Dave Burry: Not the best camp site we've been toLocation: 2/5 …More
Sue Jennings: Stayed one night, loved it,cabin was amazing, clean and all we needed, only downside anyone can get on the site and we had a motorbike going round after 11pmRooms: ExcellentSafety: Would love if they employed security to walk round the site
Ge cko: I think this is the dirtiest campsite I've ever been to. People have been posting here for some time about how dirty the sanitary facilities are, but apparently nothing is done about it. The "cleaning lady" pulls the dirt towards her with her feet, I haven't seen her use a wiper. The toilet flushes so sparingly that it takes nothing away. Yuck!!!That the ladies could behave better is beyond doubt, but I really haven't seen such a filthy stall. Moreover, anyone can get in and out through the back entrance, so the place is not very safe. There is a security guard with a Rottweiler, but he was rarely to be seen. And that in this not very posh and littered area!In May, there were notices on the square that a fish & chips snack bar was coming on Wednesdays in April. Waited for it, nothing. On the internet it says it comes on Fridays. Waited for it, nothing. Asked at reception... "No, he's coming on Sunday". We didn't want to rely on that.Public transport connections are quite good, you can be in London City within 40 minutes. But next time we will definitely be back in ChrystalPalace. It's old, but super clean. You can take an example from here.
Personnel accueillant. Ravi
Alan Wildman: Handy site for London
Catherine Mok: Small site, but clean and convenient. Bus stop is right outside the campsite with frequent schedule. You can get to the city in an hour.
kristy Vidler-Green: Campsite was well kept and clean.Cabin (sleeps 4) came with fridge, microwave, kettle, hot plate and cooking utensils. It also came with a TV but no remote so not easy to use. There was a place to use a BBQ and a picnic bench. The benches could do with a clean and some need replacing. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants/fast food nearby.Overall I would recommend this site.Playground: Nice little playground on site.
Simon Pink: Nice caravan and camping if you want to venture into London. Central London took approximately an hour using the bus then tube.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Ansonsten klappt hier alles wirklich unkompliziert gut.
Eddie Quinn: Awesome location for mouching into London townRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
