Matt Payne: Avoid this store. I was almost put off by the other terrible reviews but thought I’d give them a chance anyway. That was a mistake. Booked my bike in for a service a few days in advance and after I made the 30 minute journey there and paid for parking I was told the mechanic wasn’t in today. I explained that I had booked it in for this date and time and after one employee couldn’t give me an explanation the other said that the mechanic was supposed to call everyone the day before to cancel but got ‘overwhelmed’ with all the calls and must have missed me?! They offered to keep hold of my bike and do it a few days later but I needed my bike done there and then! Don’t waste your time and money with this place.
Lucas Gil Raniti: If you want to buy a bike quickly, definitely this isn’t your place.I called on Saturday to check if they have a bike I saw online, they said yes and that the bike would be ready to pick up. I made all my way there and when I spoke with the same guy who before I talked by phone he said even if I buy the bike they are unable to give it same day as the mechanic to do the check was off. So he offered me to come Sunday 10:00.Sunday, they called me saying the mechanic had an issue and the bike would be ready till Monday 10am.Monday (today) I made my way there 1hr and a half travel and when I get there by 12:00 they said the bike wasn’t ready and as they were extremely busy they wouldn’t be able to do the check of the bike today so I should pop in tomorrow.I asked for a refund and to fill up a complaint but the mechanic just ignored me. Turns out a gentleman had the same issue and the guy who was attending other customers as soon as he get free he made the gentleman’s bike check and afterwards mine.The guys were just complaining that nobody told them that either those bikes must be ready for a certain time.Completely disappointing.

Shivam “Vivraan” Mukherjee: A new repair experience has prompted me to drop the stars from 4 to 2. I had dropped my cycle off for repairs nearly 40 days ago and they haven't completed the service yet. Their phone line doesn't work so the only way to go check on them is to visit there physically. They have turned me away 4 times already. I sure hope the bike comes back okay. This was clearly not the experience I had before so I wonder if this is some chained effect from bad management affecting the mechanics.
sonyadesiempre: Don't fit your bike there, the worse service ever , They never answer the phone. I left my bike for repair and I was told to come back 1 week later , when I came back my bike was not ready , apparently the engineer was on holiday , then I was told to come back three days later and my bike is not ready , the engineer is back from holiday but has too many bikes to repair , I was told to come back 2 days later and my bike was not ready yet , the engineer is still too busy with the bikes . I spoke with the manager , then they fixed the bike finally and of course I paid full price £50 pounds with not discount for the inconvenience . This poor service is a joke really!

Edward Brooks: Worst experience I have ever had , bought a bike a week ago for 425 was informed that the bike was ready for collection, when I turned up I was informed the bike wasn’t there , it had been sold to another customer, charged 50 pounds for mudguards that were ordered which included a 5.99 delivery chargeOnly to be told I could get a replacement bike for the trouble I was caused at no extra cost only to be told when I went to collect it that I would have to now pay another 145 poundsWhat a shambles and what a disgraceful serviceI refused to leave the shop until I was refunded all that I had paid , as I was told I could not have my money back only a credit note , I refuse to give them my custom and refused to leave the shop until I got a refund, I usually go to the main competitor in Kingston but they closed and new Malden is a nightmare for traffic , but if you want poor service and rude staff then be my guest and use this awful shop
Claire Maher: Pretty useless. Don't answer the phone ever. Have spent a week trying to get in touch with the store and then chasing customer service to confirm my bike I order 2 weeks ago had been delivered in store, when they finally said it was definitely in store and I could collect it, the store themselves didn't have it ready. I've now wasted 2 trips to come and collect the bike but every time it's not ready.

Imran Siddique: Incompetent liars. Sent a quote for repair which I approved via email. Arrived to collect and they had fixed a whole load of stuff that didn't need to be and didn't bother to fix the brakes that were actually broken. When questioned why did they repair stuff without my authorisation, was told we do test rides at 7am and didn't want to disturb you. Asked to speak to the manager, he refused to come over. Avoid at all costs... Tried calling afterwards , no one answers the phone. Rubbish place
Julie Hacket: NO STARS DESERVED!I've never had such terrible service from a store, including the head office/customer service.My bike was there a week(no contact), and was still not ready to take away.Only one wheel changed and put back on wrong, the other 'quick release' scratched badly in the process and nothing had actually been serviced.It did not feel safe to ride home.I should never have been expected to pay!I paid another brilliant local store who had no problems whatsoever with getting wheels off and I feel safe to ride.I never received any call backs or responses from the Kingston store even going through head office which claim they cannot do anything as it is down to the store.Shocking
Bhone Myat Pie: Never ever buy a bicycle there again! ordered my bike 7th of January 2023, now 25th of February 2023 still havent got it, they give me so many excuses so i trying to get refund but only manager can do, so think before you buy bike there!
Lisa Stone: Tried to buy a bike for my son for his birthday. Whilst doing the safety check there was an issue with the gears so we had to come back the next day. Called before we went to collect and the mechanic hadn't looked at it yet, asked to come back at midday. Called again to check but they were not answering the phone so went to the store. The brand new bike is broken. I asked for a refund and was told that as a manager was not in the store this was not possible. I had to point out to the employees their legal obligation, we had not even received the bike. Eventually they got a manager on the phone and the refund was put through. Though the staff are friendly it is such bad service, do not use Evans!

Stanimir Georgiev: I spoke on the phone with the staff in the store in Kingston upon thames they told me i can bring my wheel (back wheel) for sopoke repair and trucen, so i detachet the weheel removed the cassette the tire and the inner tube rode my other bicycle with the wheel attached to my back about 4-5 miles and when i brought the wheel and told them i spoke on the phone with the staff and im happy to leave it until next Friday they told me there is no space where to leave it and i need to go back another 5 mile's with the wheel on my back than come again next Friday with the wheel again after i was told on the phone that it's ok to leave it until it's fixed, so i ask the mechanic about the manager and he told me he is the manager which i did not believe and asked for his name he said his name is Max so i want to complain about Max or who ever told me its ok over the phone becouse they wasted my time and energy for nothing clearly not careing about the customer and probably pretending that he is the manager of the store. Very disappointed overall will not recommended ! That happened on 11 feb. 2023 about 15:30
SA DA: AVOID! Sell expensive but flawed bikes and the customer service is appalling. Held onto the bike for weeks and made us pay for parts, which should have been covered by the warranty. Go elsewhere for your bikes and repairs. Would give zero stars if I could!
Yianni Papas: Seems to be getting its act together finally after a disastrous initial failure of management following the takeover by Sports Direct. The staff have been exemplary for at least the past 6 months. And continue to be to this day...
PHILIP CAPON: Took my bike in after the 3rd time of my pedal coming off and had only brought this bike in January. Was told that it needs a new crank & need to order & wait on warranty. Six weeks of waiting phone calls that was not answered a couple of emails exchanged at the beginning. Had no updates none what’s so ever collected my bike after still not being repaired was told there was a backlog. Doesn’t excuse the poor customer service.Update took this bike in to mobile bike repair in Staines someone recommended brilliant service.Apparently the pedal had been put on the wrong way by Evans. Why this wasn’t spotted had no other issues since was fixed on the spot.

There was no hard sell, and we were left to browse the shop without being pestered by an overzealous salesperson. We took our time, using the information that Archie had given us to select our bikes, and, as the two bikes we chose were in stock, we were able to take them with us and go for a ride straight away.By providing the right information and not pressing Archie has developed a sales technique that allows the customer to feel confident of the suitability of their bike without feeling pushed into the sale. I suspect that much of his skill comes from being a bike enthusiast as well as a salesperson.I would recommend this store to customers, and I would recommend adoption of Archie’s sales manner to other salespeople.Thanks Archie, and thanks to all at Evan’s Kingston.

I’ve been to all the big name bike places with a good reputation and no one can match them.Everyone who works there does an exceptional job (I’m very fussy, I can’t bare things not to be 100%) I’ve had a full di2 upgrade on my SL6 S-Works, serviced there twice, other general maintenance they know their way around any level of bike or part and have so much expertise and experience to help you with decisions.Recently did some insurance work for me after an accident with a car and service was next level, helped me communicate with the insurance company on a tricky part of the claim and loaned me a wheel to keep me riding whilst we got everything sorted.Honestly Matt, Alex, David and the whole team are absolutely sh@t hot and if you need anything doing make them your first port of call!

Justine: I just one of the rudest service I ever experienced in a bike shop. I just went to ask for the availabity for women road bike and for my size. The woman assistant found me a small one but would not let me get to try for size. She made all sorts of excuses though the bike was right in from of me. She could not work out how to put the seat down. One of the rudest service in any industry but never have I been treated so rudely in any bike shop. Never go in there again. I thought it was a friendly place. I guess you need to be the right colour and look like you got money to spend.
John S: Mixed review really. The communication was very good, however the bike took over 2 weeks to be delivered (delivery cost £75). In addition I bought the bike off of the online description of being in excellent condition with a small mark on the drive chain as shown in the pictures. After inspecting the bike there is a fair size dent at the bottom of the right fork and one side of handlebar grips are bashed up. Not huge issues but it would have been great to know first.

Cheryl Gilliver: Thanks to the mechanic at Cycle Exchange today who literally saved my butt. The bolt connecting my saddle to bike snapped in two on the road, so only seatpost left. I tried Evans and Balfe Workshop and they said I'd have to buy a new saddle, which was only two years old and in good condition. Anyway at Cycle Exchange he made me a new bolt to fit. Going above above and beyond in the small things goes really appreciated. Thank you.

This started from when I originally browsed the peloton website, seeing that I could have a virtual consultation with great availability options I could book in, to having a really great appointment with Jennie, who was knowledgeable, helpful and engaging. Finally the delivery has been extremely swift within a few days of ordering which has been beyond my expectations.
