Clare Morley: Hallways have a wonderful time when I’m here visiting my brother! Staff are so kind & friendly had the best food in here today with a pudding and drink was all absolutely delicious will be coming back Sunday 😍😍
CjC Adventures: After a night out at Dudley town hall poped in to the old priory a karaoke was on but after standing at the bar for about 10 minutes I couldn't get the attention of the bar man he was just standing talking to someone and ignored me it was great last time I was in there before the pandemic sadly not so great now if you're not a local they don't seem to want to serve you as for the response the date I was there was on 15th Oct 2021 at around 10pm that was on a Saturday at no time did I say in the review it was a Thursday night
Joanna Gennard: Lovely staff, always have the best night here, would definitely recommend and the food is lovely

Support Group: Great place. Go in every 2 weeks place is sometimes quiet other times packed out, all the bar staff are friendly and will assist you with anything always smiling and laughing with customers and that's what you need a pub, has a great selection of beers and spirits, if anyone is looking for a great night out come here, they do great food as well. The jukebox is really difficult to use when you had had a few, but meh their's a dart board, pool table and fruit machine what more do you need 😂😂
B M C: Convenient place close to the bus station and less than 30 second walk to 3 other pubs.

Mike Pearson: Brilliant place to visit with good beer, a one off
Paul Santoro-Hall: It was always a great time at the Crooked house.
Damian Dering: Great place to see and to but no place for coffee lovers. The way to this place looks like a garbage.
roj6488: Lovely historical building with lots of quirks and a setting that throws you off, good selection of food, beer, ales and ciders
casper scheire: Must see
Sean Adams: Great place last time I went many years ago. You feel like you have had a few beers when you walk in and the the balls roll up rather than down. Definitely worth a visit am sure it's still a great place today.
Joseph Jarrett: Absolutely beautiful pub it was my first time visiting on friday 7th april and i was absolutely amazed by the pub i fell in love with it!!!if only i had £650,000 to buy it😭😆
Marilyn Groves: Great food, with a varied menu. Good service, what's not to love
Sarah C: Staff lovely. It's at the bottom of a long road. Just be careful driving on it, as it's the only way in n out. There isn't a lot of parking space. Food lush though!
Em Bibby: The house is interesting but it is expensive and the area is horrible. Have to pass a landfill to get there and there is litter around the pub and in the stream which is somewhat unavoidable but does dampen the experience.
Samantha Durrant: 248 years old this year.. we love the crooked.
Alistair Taylor: Excellent food and service. The entrance road is awful (not their fault), but worth putting up with to get there.
Blaze1885: This place is cool! And the beer is decent. Only problem is the weird vertigo feeling u get in here before your drunk!
Leslie Weight: Not been there yet but I will .Seen loads of great reviewsSo am looking forward to seeing it .

Dave Hickling: 500+ board games to choose from, excellent food service and staff. Very friendly. Definitely recommend
Chimene Codner: Love this place, a chilled atmosphere and a massive selection of games. If unsure what to play or where to start grab one of the staff who are super helpful and friendly
Kitty Harper: Love this place so much, been back twice now and will continue to come back. The place is vibing, very friendly staff, good value for money and good food too.
Benjamin Graham: Great board game café! Lovely staff, nice food and drinks and great selection of games to play. Recommended!
Kate Allsop: We had a great time at Chance & Counters. We took our 2 kids 12 and 7 who love playing board games. It’s a great place to visit and the time flies by so quickly! So much choice of games to play from simple kids games up to complicated games for adults. This was our second visit and we’ll be back.
Bharath Ramjee: Game selection is great but the food is off the chain!
Andy: On entry, to the left we were presented with a counter serving a line of people queuing from the opposite end. There were no employees in sight save for the bartender. We naturally ventured in toward the end of the line and to see if there were any free tables as we surveyed the room. We were then “apprehended” by a young lady who rather abruptly queried what we were doing. She informed us rather aggressively that they were fully booked before we could formulate a response to her initial question. We were taken aback by how we were spoken to, only to be further alarmed when we were upon turning to leave shouted at by the male working behind the bar “There IS a booking policy here!” As he shouted he pointed at us and then at the exit. Everyone in the cue turned to look at us seemingly equally as confused as we were. We attempted to tell him that we were presently leaving as instructed by the lady now clearly frog marching us out. However he was suddenly disinterested, apparently too busy now serving customers having achieved his objective of ostracising a family of 4 (including 2 children) for no reason at all. I would add at this juncture that we are a black family. I feel this pertinent as I quite simply cannot account for any other distinguishing feature that marked us out as targets for the abuse suffered. I also note that another review with similar connotations was left by a former patron. If race was not the motivating factor then I sincerely apologise. However, if it was then please do better. We are in 2023. Let us treat each other humanly and with respect.
Sam Walker: Nice atmosphere and friendly team. Good selection of games. They don't have physical menus so you use your phone to view the menu via QR code. Team member didn't offer passcode for guest WiFi so if you can't connect I'm not sure what plan B is.As said above, staff very friendly and welcoming but they didn't touch base with the table after we sat down and we were there for 4 hours. Would have been nice to be checked in on to see if we wanted more drinks.Team rely on you waving them down but that's not always easy when your playing and concentrating on a game.Would recommend to give them a go and will definitely try them again next time I'm in Birmingham.
Lyndsey Miles: Many great evenings spent here. Lovely friendly atmosphere, excellent food and drinks served quickly, amazing selection of games and best of all - Will the Wizard (and other ace gurus) to explain how to play them. Fantastic value for a night out.
George Bevan: Fantastic atmosphere, super-friendly staff and an amazing selection of board games. Despite not knowing many board games, I always have a great time here because the staff are great at giving you recommendations of games to play. I just love hanging out here!
Nathan Tipton: Chance & Counters is a fantastic place to spend a few hours. The staff were so friendly and approachable, taught us a lot of games to speed up the process of learning/trying new ones, and gave us lots of recommendations of games to try as well. Awesome selection of games, great food/drink, lovely staff, we will definitely be heading back!
Andrew Thompson: Fantastic atmosphere, helpful staff. Good food.
Ashley Tolin: Great selection of many popular and party-style board games complimented by plentiful seating and delicious lunch food. Highly recommend the garlic chicken burger and halloumi fries - best burger I've had in years! Great way to spend an hour or two!
Rinu Mathew: We've been a few times before and the atmosphere is great everyone. The selection of board games is also excellent so suits all tastes. They serve amazing food and drink also - particularly like their smoothies and milkshakes.
Emily Arnold: Absolutely loved this placed. Super relaxed environment with so many games to choose from. The menu had loads of choice and the onion bhaji fries were amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it's so dog friendly. We were offered water and treats as soon as we came through the door and it's the best dog friendly morning we've had in a long time. Will definitely be back.
Siobhan A: It was my second visit to Chance & Counters and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first time. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. A relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends. I would highly recommend this place if you love games!
Olivia: My complaint is that I was under the impression I had a four hour slot booked only to turn up and find out it was a 2 hour slot which was deeply disappointing and inconvenient. I had booked with about 3 weeks notice for a group of 5. I had booked several sessions as I was organising the group and cancelled sessions promptly after confirming the Saturday slot. However, the Saturday session I had booked had conflicting information, namely that the button said it was a two hour session but information underneath the booking stated that the table needed to be returned at 4pm. I called on the 6th March at around 13:55 to confirm whether I had a two or four hour slot and was told it was for four hours. And so, I turned up on the 25th March expecting a four session, only to be told it was 2 hours. The woman behind the bar was not sympathetic to the issue, offered no consolation or bill reduction, and really put me off the place. It made me look incompetent, especially as part of our group could only be there for an hour due to the bus strikes when they had expected 3, and others had travelled in to join us. It was also incredibly busy and felt squashed by the table behind when they arrived. C&C are changing the charging system so I have no idea if it will be better or worse, but don't trust their booking system or the staff to give you correct information.
Chloe Kite: Absolutely love this place! Great food, amazing staff and love the choice of games
Simon Isabelle: What a wonderful place, run by extremely helpful and pleasant people.
Will B (Will): Really great experience. Staff were super kind and friendly. Definitely recommend playing a game called Avalon. Will be back soon
