I was told the landlord was changed due to the pub not getting busy enough?

The Royal London: what do users think?
Ashley Cowern: Good atmosphere on match days. Just a shame they don't have a beer garden.
MARK LEE INGLEBY: This used to be a great pub. Now just a soulless town bar.
Hannah Bryant: We never have been here and we came out on Tuesday night with friends. Was a really good night. Cheap doubles n mixer ... No Drama Great Music Friendly Staff .... See you when we get back from holiday
Chris Boden: Get drunk here
Phil Fielding: First time in this pub and won't be the last food was very good lady behind the bar was very pleasant would recommend to anyone
Nathaniel Smith: Good food for a decent price. Drinks cheaper than other pubs although still more expensive than spoons. Great service & friendly staff. 2 pool tables as well
harry: Staff are great. Told me to get 2 for 1 when i was about to just get the 1. Class.
john: The bar staff have the sense of humour of a wet dish rag and are equally as welcoming.
Thomas Baugh: I've been going in The Royal for 20 years and am glad it's still around. Wolverhampton doesn't have enough bars and restaurants so it serves an important purpose. There's nothing special about the place but it's spacious, you normally get served quickly and even when it's busy you can find somewhere to sit. These days I only venture there for football games and in this respect it's an ideal venue with plenty of screens guaranteeing a good view.
andrew Picken: Average at best
Harvey Rozewicz: Always love it in the London nice atmosphere, saw my old school teachers on the piss up always a good laugh
Sukhie Dhesi: Staff are great here, even if things go wrong they do not hesitate to put things right. Truly treat customers like kings.I ordered bangers and mash. Unfortunately the gravy was bitter and the mash was still powdery. Ok mistakes happen. But what happened next is what matters....Explained the food wasn't right and the staff member quickly went on to apologise and resolve the issue by offering a new meal or the same as a new meal.I really enjoyed the replacement meal so thank you.
Alan: Really nice and chill place, has pool tables, seating, range of IPA's/beers, nice food and show sports/boxing PPV.
Imran Butt: Great
Ethan Boyce: Verrry busy no where to sit. NextTime I go I'm going to reserve a table.
Stuart Cant: Good choice of ales and great staff
rightful_uk: It's a nice place but not my type of place
Jonathan Ward: Food was good, friendly staff. Rowdy customer was dealt with and removed quickly. Good drink selection!!
Rob Pizza'Fan: We've been a couple of times and it's always been a pleasant experience.Last night was no exception although we were perplexed at how quiet it was for New Years Eve compared to other places. Prices maybe?
Maris Maksimovs: Very spacious and convenient. Nice music. Haven't tried dishes yet but will soon.
Graham Hall: Reasonable prices on food and drink; sport (World Cup match) on the TV and quiz. Large open plan former retail building so plenty of space for busy nights. Close to the University so popular with students.Friendly and helpful staff and the quiz was the first 'interactive' or on line quiz I have been to so getting a handle on how it worked cost some points! Enjoyable all the same.

Mike Pearson: Brilliant place to visit with good beer, a one off
Paul Santoro-Hall: It was always a great time at the Crooked house.
Damian Dering: Great place to see and to but no place for coffee lovers. The way to this place looks like a garbage.
roj6488: Lovely historical building with lots of quirks and a setting that throws you off, good selection of food, beer, ales and ciders
casper scheire: Must see
Sean Adams: Great place last time I went many years ago. You feel like you have had a few beers when you walk in and the the balls roll up rather than down. Definitely worth a visit am sure it's still a great place today.
Joseph Jarrett: Absolutely beautiful pub it was my first time visiting on friday 7th april and i was absolutely amazed by the pub i fell in love with it!!!if only i had £650,000 to buy it😭😆
Marilyn Groves: Great food, with a varied menu. Good service, what's not to love
Sarah C: Staff lovely. It's at the bottom of a long road. Just be careful driving on it, as it's the only way in n out. There isn't a lot of parking space. Food lush though!
Em Bibby: The house is interesting but it is expensive and the area is horrible. Have to pass a landfill to get there and there is litter around the pub and in the stream which is somewhat unavoidable but does dampen the experience.
Samantha Durrant: 248 years old this year.. we love the crooked.
Alistair Taylor: Excellent food and service. The entrance road is awful (not their fault), but worth putting up with to get there.

Leslie Weight: Not been there yet but I will .Seen loads of great reviewsSo am looking forward to seeing it .

Sarah Westwood: Had a meal here for my nans 83rd birthday so there were 30 of us food and staff were amazing couldn't fault them they made my nans day even more special thank you everyone there will defo go again 😊
Antonio Bay: Great service right from the front door, food was amazing! Great atmosphere. Many thanks for making my daughter happy too, 110% return here in a hurry. Great job guys
chris williams: Great food friend enjoyed aswell
Claudette: What a great find!!! Being Gluten Intolerant it’s always a bit tricky to find nice food. Made it super easy to order from the GF menu, and I was lucky to come on a day that I got a free GF pudding 😍👍I ordered the Chicken New Yorker. The chicken was tender, bacon crispy and the BBQ sauce complimented everything. Also came with a nicely cooked jacket potato, coleslaw and fresh salad - all tasted great!!!I order a Malibu Colada - Fruity, exotic and a nice Malibu kick. For my free GF pudding I went for Apple & Berry Crumble with custard. First time trying a GF version and you would not know, really tasty 😋Love the design & decoration of the restaurant/pub, makes it really individual and interesting. Also got seating outside for warm days like today.Top shout out to the lovely staff who made my visit special and really looked after me.Great Service, Great Food - Highly Recommended!!!
Megan Hinton: Great.
Emma Collett-attwell: Excellent service always. The manager always goes above and beyond with her customer service. The food is amazing.
Jason Plader: Nice friendly service but a bit pricey on the drinks
Hannah Carr: Myself and my partner came to Birmingham from Dorset for the weekend, we had dinner booked here for the first night, we then came back for breakfast the next 2 mornings. The service we received throughout all of our visits was exceptional. We were always greeted with smiles and kindness. The food was cooked perfectly and served hot and always came promptly. Several staff always checked that we were ok throughout our meal. We felt so welcomed here, all the staff were really friendly, particularly Edel the manager, she saw us on the first night and the last morning we went for breakfast she recognised us and greeted us yet again with a smile and a chat. Credit to her and her team to be trained in excellent customer service, we will definitely be returning again. Thank you again for such a lovely weekend of great food!!
Sherrie Parkes: Food was fine, very cheap, staff were pleasant but the toilets were in a very bad shape and were not useable.
Robert Hickman: Had a problem with my Granddaughters meal just asked and was sorted out immediately, very impressed and would recommend.
ben howarth: Good solid food and really excellent service. Would come back again in a heartbeat
Amanda: Gorgeous great quality food, lovely staff, friendly
Donna Pitts: Went for breakfast it was deliciousService was great100% recommend 🙂
ZesT: We most likely came in at a busy time, but had to wait ~40 mins for food and when it did come we got a burger with salad and mayo despite ordering one without. The bacon in the burger was a little lukewarm and the scampi in another part of the order was practically hollow, but those were the only issues with the quality of the food itself which is why this is a 2-star instead of 1. Would perhaps be better at a quieter hour but would not recommend at rush hour.
Mark Randell: Sorry to say this is our second time there, and it was worse than the first. The steak was disgusting. Not value for moneyBut the assistant manager has given us a free meal to use at a later date. That's if we go back....
Wendy Macefield Horton: Visited yesterday on my birthday, the staff are ALWAYS so welcoming and work very hard to ensure a good experience.Food was lovely as usual, thank you team xx
Paul Jenkins: Food was okay.
Simon Payne: Went for a meal with my wife n waited over 45mins for our food was disgusted with the food they sent out chips barely warm but burnt? Chicken like jelly corn on the cob stone cold I ordered a curry hardly anything in it u cud see the bottom of the dish so when waitress came over all we got off her was ill change it its fine I kept trying to tell her what was wrong with food she said again its fine ill change it so ended up getting the manager over to be fair he did listen n when food came out again it was hot then but won't be going again terrible experience
Keith: Lovely breakfast.
Lee Constable: The food was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Served quickly and food wasn't a Long wait
Matthew Jackson: I didn't think I'll bother ever again. When we got there we had already pre booked. The chap on the door took ages to see us. Then he couldn't even find our booking. I literally had to point it out to him. Then he sat us at a dirty sticky table. That was it. No thanks.

Linda Morgan: Food tasty, lots of choiceWalkability: By nature reserveFood & drinks: Lots of choice
Ryan Nicholls: Well was it the best food I have ever eaten no, was it the worst of cause not it was decent and the pub itself has a certain charm about it and very relaxed atmosphere, in a decent location with two very nice and friendly staff members who were serving me tonight, lovely lady behind the bar and a gentleman on the floor who it seemed anything I asked him was never too much hassle or trouble for them. That for me alone will get me to return and recommend. But I do like it and can see why people go for sure 👍

Nick Hoar: Attended an afternoon do here. The buffet was excellent and the staff friendly. The tables were somewhat crammed in but being a buffet this was a small inconvenience. If you park a car you must log its registration number at one of the screens by the bar. Otherwise you risk a fine, according to the numerous warning notices. Also, you'll need some cash as, weirdly, they have a lower limit below which they won't process a contactless payment. It was an enjoyable afternoon, helped by the staff, location and decent nosh.

Sharon Moore: Top notch homley pub grub really delicious food nice atmosphere and lovely staff highly recommend this place
Becky Showell: Amazing Sunday dinner
J Kfive (Jk5): It's a bit like a Tardis. Looks like a normal house with single door at front but once inside opens all the way back, was very busy with a big selection of real ales. Worth a visit.
