Red By Night: what do users think?
Nikkie Wemyss: Back to the 80s night was fab
Andrew Willetts: Great night out, friendly staff. Good atmosphere.
Paris Unitt: Came here for the first time with my husband & some friends, felt we were very unwelcome from the start. We had security guards already watching us as we come in for no reason, we were kicked out for dancing & having a good time because apparently we had had too many even though we were just dancing like everybody else in the venue. The security were very arrogant & extremely rude, as well as the manager. Absolutely disgraceful, this is a poor mans river rooms. Will never go here again!!! And by reading the reviews, I’m not the only one who’s experienced this! Says a lot!
Eddie Smith: The best live music venue in the area, always have a great night. Brilliant staff all add to the experience.
Jason: V good. Friendly staff. Good night
Jason Stockley: Great variety of live music. Drinks reasonably priced. Good night out.
Billie Smith: Great venue. Nice clean environment. Staff are friendly and a nice selection of beers. Outdoor area is nice and clean. Lovely view of the canal. Showcasing local bands! Book your gigs
Ruthh Emilyy: Was in last night had an enjoyable night really good atmosphere, great band and polite staff both bar and door staff would definitely revisit!
LindsayJoanne Waters: Fantastic venue, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Great night out all round *****
Alison Barratt: What a great night amazing
Mary Collins: Atrocious night last night - my 'fish bowl' drink I was sharing with niece was taken with alcohol still in it (was behind me on table & didn't see straight away that it was taken). When I realised I asked who I thought was a bar 'man,' (I use that term loosely as he no man I tell you), to replace it. He was immediately angry & rude - at first he said he had thrown only ice away - I disagreed - then he rudely ignored me after mouthing off to nobody in particular & told the young barman to give me a short drink - again I refused. Next thing the bar 'man' - who I was told is the manager when I asked for him - yelled at another 'man' (supposed door man) to "get her out!" I was told to leave & when I refused I was pushed & pulled & had to shout to try & make them stop! One was man handling me & then 2 more bouncers joining in! I had to go past the table my friends & I were at - saying goodbye & telling them to stay - trying to reach for my coat & bag off stool - but I was still being pulled/pushed out! I very strongly shouted at the 3 bouncers I was going & for them to keep their hands off me! They denied pushing & pulling me! Even worse they threw out my friends/family who had been outside & just come back with fresh drinks. Please note - I am 58 years old, a social worker, was sober - and had 3 bouncers round me touching me! Intimidated is not the word - felt like I was lifted off my feet at one point. NEVER been treated like that in my life! Oh - turns out the geek with dirty blonde hair & shameful ponytail is the manager or deputy manager! No communication skills & terrible team skills - oh the main 'man' who did the pushing acknowledged the geek manager is not a nice person - though he used a different descriptive but apt word! Waiting on police & either way will def complete form for SiA. I'm sure the little man had no card on him! Oh finally (I promise) the angry looking & rude female door person - just to come over & tell me not to waste police time by calling them! Great work Red by Night team - bullies & liars and just thank God for cctv - if it's still there!Rant over. No stars but had to give one to post review.Anybody else had this experience?!
Stuart Jones: Had a great night good atmosphere
Spencer Billingham: Need to say, was 1 of the best nights I've had at red my night so far. They even played the requestes.😊 mostly I was to thank the bar staff and the security for what they did and looking after me when I needed and dealt with the situation properly, I could enjoy the rest of my night and it made me feel safe. Thanks so much to all the staff. Courtney xx
Andy Smythe: Great live music and great choice of drinks from IPA to all the usuals plus more
Ольга Ругно: Terrible security. Which is ready to find fault with something stupid in order to start a conflict and call names and subsequently throw it out into the street, customers who leave a lot of money at the bar.The owner clearly does not care about his business, since there are those in the security who are simply bored at work, and they are looking for an excuse to entertain themselves, kicking people out for spitting into the toilet. I don't recommend this place to anyone!!!
Jess Dyer: Great little venue on the waterfront with some fantastic acts on. Word of Mouth Events, and the Drag nights are a must!
Claire Bordicott: Always a good night and atmosphere. Some good live bands and quick service at the bar.
Colin Whittle: Nice club type bar with live entertainment most nights
Emma Sessions: Brilliant...had a fab time..awesome band on.. Great music to follow by the DJ . Great vibe . Friendly staff .. will be back
Maxine Thompson: Upcoming venue. Visited a couple of times now. have had a few decent tribute bands on in there.
Alex Botten: Fab venue

Las Iguanas - Birmingham - Brindley Place: what do users think?
Susan Harris: Only had drinks but quality still as good, had shots but told wrong info but was cleared up and new shots given, service was excellent.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Theo Ramwell: Drinks are great, Food is not ! Bottomless brunch is awesome for the drinks alone. The food is really below average. Portions are small, prices are high, quality / flavour is low. Come for drinks not for food. 6 tiny pieces of chorizo for £3.5 is insane. Service is great and music is just right. Did not feel welcome went we came in but when we were seated the Serving staff were really friendly! Drinks were great prices and well made. They should get nicer glasses. Server Malack was so good and friendly!
katie mills: Zef is the best waiter for a bottomless brunch!! Amazing service, definitely come again ❤️
Christine Doyle: Slow, slow, slow. Food was ok, drinks were alright but the service was so slowDietary restrictions: Manager took my food order as I have a food allergy, so that was positive and reassuringFood: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Green Warrior: Chicken burger on bottomless brunch was dry and overcooked. Not great surroundings, too loud and too expensiveFood: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Jack Caldwell: Went for bottomless brunch and to say disappointed was an understatement. We arrived and were told that they didn’t have two of the drinks and any chicken burgers (we weren’t informed before attending). We then tried asking for an alternative beef burger instead and told only one person could order it. We decided it was just easier to have something else they actually had which was a tiny portion. Drinks were slow to come, drinks were just filled with ice and hardly any liquid. Wrong drinks were sent to the table, waiter seemed to get frustrated with us and tried dismissing any problems we had. It was a shocking service which we wish we hadn’t attended.
philnohair: Great range of food & drinks, really nice atmosphere. The online ordering and payment worked perfectly.
Deirdre Fitzgerald: We had booked a table for four on a Friday evening at 6:30pm The restaurant was unpleasantly noisy and we had to shout across the table to be heard. The waiter took the drinks and food order but 10 minutes later we had to ask someone else where the drinks were. After another half an hour I asked a waiter if he could find out how much longer our food would be. He never reported back. After another 10 minutes someone else in our party approached the wait station to ask how much longer we would have to wait and he was told it would be another 25 minutes! We were going to a concert and could not wait that long so had to leave.Maybe they were under staffed but should have said so when taking the order and we could have made a decision based on that. I’ll never go there again
Jacqueline De Venanzi: Dos bebidas y un café todo derramado en la taza. La atención pésima, la persona que nos trajo el café nos dio un mal trato, no lo recomiendo a nadie
Medha Priyamvada: Awesome food and ambience , special mention to our server Fei , he was very patient with us all and even provided us plates for the cake we brought from outside , splendid service , would always plan to come again .
Mellow_UK: Told over the phone we did we did not have a booking until we showed up with a confirmation email. We were seated but the music was so loud everyone was shouting across their table. They need to lower the background music.Sat for a while waiting for our drinks, as a party of five we order cocktails 2 for 1 only 6 were delivered to the table, food was ordered two vegetarians, one was cold so sent back, and it eventually came back with chicken inside, at this point we had all finished our meal so she ate alone, as that too had to go back, nothing displayed to say it was meat-free. At no point was our table cleared of the finished plate and glass. They tried to rectify the cocktails situation but we were over it by then. Don't get me started on the toilets, for somewhere that serves food they were disgusting..see picsThe bill was reduced but it was made for u please experience, as it was my first time there, so never again at this location. The presentation of the food was not Instagramable!!The manager was kind and helpful.
Jerri Hicken: Went for a bottomless brunch yesterday with 4 friends. The food was delicious as always but the drinks were awful. You could have unlimited Prosecco or a choice of cocktails, this is what swung it for us. All the cocktails were just full of juice and ended up tasting so watery towards the bottom. I ordered a long island iced tea just to see what the quality of the cocktails were like as all others on the list were not your typical cocktails so hard to tell. He came over with my drink which looked like a glass of coke and pretty much tasted like that too. This is the first time I have left a bottomless brunch completely sober. I have eaten and drank here before and the cocktails have always been amazing so I’m really disappointed with how they lowered the standards. If you don’t want to offer proper cocktails then just don’t have them on the bottomless brunch option, or offer 2 then cocktails and just unlimited Prosecco (even that was vile though).
Mike Oxlong: Never had a bad espresso martini apart from this place
Shannon Keyte: Food is always yummy. Wish they'd turn the music down before 8pm so you can still enjoy a meal and hear your buddies / partner. But food is delish and bottomless brunch has always been excellent every time I've gone!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Akeem Whyte: Drinks are weak but service is good and great staff, especially our server Emily who was amazing!! 👏🏾
Laszlo Fazekas: Waited an hour to be served. When asked to remove dirty plates from previous customers still on table waiter told us: "I have no time for that"...We had to remind him to bring cutlery...Food was ok, but not worth to wait so long. Not recommended.
Arjun Chawla: I went on a Saturday at 11.30pm for some late night drinks but they turned me away at the door saying they're closing. note it says online they close at 1am. misinformation was pretty annoying, I could have gone to a different branch if the information was correct.
N A: The worlds worse customer service. First we went in it was a sign wait to be served, we waiting over 5 minutes no one bothered to come and see us, 90% of restaurant was free. Then finally a black woman (I am not a resist, mentioning this only for owners so they know who is deliberately putting off their customers from their restaurant) with very cold face came and direct us to the table. Sitting again no one comes. I saw the same lady walking around called her saying excuse me could we have hot drinks menu, she is pretending that can’t hear me. And shouting at me saying I can’t hear you, repeating my question again, then with irony telling me we don’t have hot drinks, only Americano, tea and hot chocolate. I swear if I asked her one more question she would drop her menu on my head. It wasn’t any point to stay and spend any money there. We just left. Went to the next restaurant and enjoyed very nice cake with nice coffee.
Robin Paul: Really really bad customer service. Only 5 tables are taken and it's only 12:15 pmBut staff looks tired and not bother to serve us. By mistake we asked if they served coffee and she nearly bite off our heads. So rude, no manners. If customers are not going get serve, customers will be going to different places. We highly recommend turtle bay. Friendly staff and great place and great food and drinks.
Sabi Alkilani: Acceptable food but the service is very good even if it is Friday and Saturday
Rich Deerdog: Las Iguanas is a reliable chain. This one in Brindley Place was no exception. Solid menu and good service. Got in without a reservation no problem on a Monday night and enjoyed a good quesadilla and enchilada. Well done. The beer was Pacifico. This used to be a premium brand I think, now available all over. Good though. I think they used to do Brahma as well, didn’t notice if they still do. Liked most of Birmingham, it seems, they had run out of non alcoholic beers.Next to various chain pubs to grab A drink in afterwards - Pitcher and Piano, Cosy Club etc. used to be quite. Close to Pizza Express before it closed (miss it).Anyway, I’d definitely eat here again. They also do that thing where you can pay your bill online at the end, which is useful.

The Cuban Embassy (The Bulls Head): what do users think?
Stephanie Phillips: Has great rum cocktails and a good selection of sharing platters and small bites although it is a bit pricey. Main downside is that it’s often pretty busy so it can be hard to find a table or space to stand.
Stace Lyttle: If you’ve been out in Moseley, it’s highly likely you’ve been to the iconic Cuban Embassy (Bulls Head). It is the oldest pub in the village dating back to the 1700s. Now it’s a little slice of Havana serving up rum based cocktails and live cuban music each weekend 🇨🇺 🍹 💃🏽We went on Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch (2hrs). Choose bottomless Prosecco or Cuba Libres, two small plates and a side for £35 per person. We ordered:🍔 Iberian Burger🐟 Cod and Pepper Croquettes🇪🇸Spanish Chorizo🍗 Garlic Chicken Thighs🍟 Sweet Potato Fries Garlic Flatbread with cheeseThe food is provided by Santi’s Kitchen and we loved every bite 👌🏽The garlic chicken thighs were sensational. We were mopping up every last ounce of the sauce with the garlic flatbread; we nearly wore a hole into the plate 😆 The cod and pepper croquettes were generously filled with fish, rather than filled out with potato. They were delicately seasoned so the fish could shine and we wanted a bucket full. The burger looked pretty basic, but then we took a bite…the Manchego was nutty and slightly sweet, perfectly complimenting the salty Serrano ham. It tasted homemade and authentic. It was quiet during our visit, so even though I hate the phrase because people are saying it about everything, I’m going to say it…the venue might be well known, but the brunch is a 💎 hidden gem 💎 It was fantastic for us too as Cuba Libres are a much more appealing option than sugary cocktails. They were also super accommodating and let my mum have vodka instead of rum ☺️ it’s the little touches. We were having such a lovely time we stayed for a few extra hours and enjoyed some banana daiquiris 🍌
michael weeks: Food is absolutely amazing and the prices are really good
Dolores Cobo: My friend and I went to the Cuban Embassy for lunch today with our little ones. The food was delicious and very good service. The quality of the food is really good according to the prices. Will come back.
Yary Leyva: Lovely food
fray shaw: Better than my last visit. Doormen were ace characters compared to the last aggressive ***** they hired before. Staff are friendly and helpful and all round a good vybe. Recommend 👍
Kim Sterling: Really enjoyed the band. The atmosphere was really friendly.Lively and fun people.Food was very tasty.Would definitely return.
Alex Walsh: Great
Neil Campbell: Went for an early drink at 7pm on a Saturday and plenty of tables available. Lots of cocktails on the menu, and loads of lovely rum that's good enough to just have it with ice. There's also about 10 beers on keg too, so plenty of lagers and Guinness if you're not in the mood for gin or rum. Nice atmosphere when it's quiet
Margaret Stammers: Wonderful atmosphere. Good range of beers and spirits. Great, but very loud music. The doormen were very thorough with the search of the gentlemen but gave only a cursory glance inside the ladies' bags.
Matteo Trevisan: A bit cold at the start... But surely Street the live music started, the place became a self heated humans room... LOL
Chris Durrant: Quite disappointing, just an over crowded bar
Bogumiła Zielińska: Fajni ludzie i muzycy
terenia27 shandy: Went for Latin night with the band and loved every minute. But it did turn into a mosh pit
mark Flatherty: Great bar.
Benita Itty: The live music performance was great, a fun night out 😍
Mr Me: Extremely quiet on a Friday night. Not what it once was. Drinks very expensive.
Tom Collis: Fantastic little venue really enjoyed the night, the band on Friday night (14 Oct) were terrific especially the drummer (but I forgot the band name)
Tee Massy: The place has a good vibe. Went there later in the evening so headed upstairs where theres a bar, live music, dancing. Nice diverse crowd as well.
Juan Cristóbal Castro Alonso: Only latinos get this: gringos trying to be latinos always miss the mark. Will go to a real latino place when I can. Anyways, it's an OK place, but too crawded on Saturday night

Faraday’s Restaurant & Bar: what do users think?
Lesley Ashton: There is plenty on offer for breakfast, from continental to cooked breakfast. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carly Hipkiss: Went on 14th august 22 for our 1st anniversary meal was greeted by kim who brought our meals and drinks she made our day special she was very polite and also thanks to the chef who made us a extra menu as restaurant was closed but still allowed us to have out 1st anniversary meal in main restaurant all to our selfs only had to pay for our drinks as Copthornepayed for our meals as we had our wedding hear would definitely recommend this place as food was really nice.
Claire McCall: Absolutely fantastic service during our stay at the hotel. The team couldn't have done more for us to cater for my little girls allergies - I had a phone call from executive head chef before we visited to outline the safety measures that they were putting in place for her, all of her food was cooked fresh to order, we were seated and served separately to minimise cross contamination and every member of staff working during the weekend was aware of her allergies. The food was all delicious too, with super friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.
Keeley Bartlett: We went to the restaurant on the first night we stayed at the hotel as we got there quite late and it was easy. We wish we never did. Our food was OK but the children's meal was shocking. £6 for a TIN! of mac and cheese, which is disgusting at the best of times and something I would never expect to see in a restaurant. Frozen pizza for kids I get but Tinned mac and cheese? That's a whole new low. They may as well not have a "chef" as all the food could have easily been reheated by the front of house. The waitress was lovely but definitely is not enough enough make up for the completely unacceptable food. Would never ever go again and recommendyou don't waste your money either.
Dawn Dema: Bit of a let down on the website stated evening meal but all was served was bar snacks
Kevin Jones: Was quite busy for a Monday but waited over 90 minutes for a cheeseboard. Chased after about 50 minutes and was told the supervisor was on it. Supervisor came and asked if it was the burger i had ordered. Confirmed it was the cheeseboard and then nothing......After 90 minutes I went to the bar and cancelled but was told by a staff member pulled in from events that they couldnt refund me and I would have to see reception. In all those respects, the customer service experience was abominable. The only positives -the lady behind the bar who did her best try to move things on in a courteous way and was probably as frustrated as I was (and probably undairly took the brunt of my frustrations - so apologies if you read this)- the guy on reception who sorted things out in a measured and professional way, acknowledging my frustrations and calming me down.On the whole though, a very bad experience for a simple cheeseboard order.
Sitting Here.: Very overpriced for what it was, chips were basic £1 frozen french fries and partners onion rings the same even though they were 2.59 extra. We were charged 6 quid for a kids desert as they classed it as a main meal! Not being rude but my daughter had already eaten because she is 3 and it was merely to keep her occupied.Menu options were very limited and pricey.Staff were helpful enough but all in all we wouldn't go back or recommend.44.00 for two mediocre mains (cheapest on menu), 1 drink each and a children's ice cream.
Debbie Finch: Absolutely shocking. Ordered ribs, waited rather a long time when arrived they were like scratchings. Meal booked for our wedding anniversary. Ended up walking in the rain across the bridge to weatherspoons. Just so upset that we didn't get the copthorne experience after spending so much money on our wedding. The restaurant supervisor offered nothing but did take our £33+ for pathetic shared starters and bottle of white wine. Very, very disappointed
lianne historyfan: Friendly staff.Breakfast was good and I don't understand the negative breakfast reviews.Great choice of options.
asif s: Vegetarian options are very limited
Pammy B: Ibiza night, staff great room great, night started off good, shame music ended up pants, meal was nice but pudding was very bland, looked the part no flavour loads of people left it, shame, would come again though
Midlandc: Didnt eat there but staff were really nice.
Amanda Davey: Amazing buffet breakfast with a wonderful choice of food and drinks.
David Vickers: poor service and bland food
andrew thompson: Fantastic food and brilliant service. Would highly recommend.
Allen Williams: Wow. Great service. Great food. great location. We stayed 2 nights and ate here twice. The second time we had to order from the bar menu. But was still good. Just not as much choice. The staff were very attentive. They do need a little more training. But work in progress is good. A floaty coffee was there first downfall. LolBut now they know. I said if you just ask for it. I'm sure they will know what it is. And they did. Thanks again. For some wonderful food. And even better service .
