Lizzie Whiley: Absolutely appalled by this company. We had a surveyor knock on our door back in November. He drilled holes in our walls and checked our boiler. He asked us to fill out forms and stated we might be entitled to the government grant for topping up of the insulation and a new boiler. So we filled everything out and thought nothing more of it. We don't tend to get anything for free and thought that would be the end of it. However, to our surprise we received a call yesterday stating we were entitled to insulation top up, a new boiler and ventilation checks. I was over the moon. I was advised two men would be out today afternoon time. To my surprise they turned up just after 11am. When I asked for ID the guy told me he had left it in another vehicle and told me to call the office who would confirm who he is. This made me very nervous and I felt extremely vulnerable as I was on my own. The guy then proceeded to ask me questions. He asked me what work did they need to do. I told him I didn't know and surely he should. He then took one look at my property and told me he couldn't do the insulation work. When I asked why, he told me he didn't know. Which again I found very strange. He left, telling me to call the office. I did, and the lady told me that there were holes in our property walls and therefore the insulation has already been done, ages back. And is under warranty. Therefore, no top up of insulation, no new boiler and no ventilation check. What a waste of my time and what a very disorganised and untrained company. They got our hopes up despite my asking several times is this real, legit, really happening.

Helped my elderly father and did a phenomenal and professional job throughout with insulation, ventilation and central heating installation. Can't praise these chaps enough. They've changed my father's living conditions for the better in so many ways. Maxy Maxy: Same Review I posted on Trust Pilot. Fantastic company, I highly recommend.Top company, had a new Worcester Bosch boiler installed by Smart Energy WM. Brian the surveyor came round bang on time for the appointment. Brian was really helpful and gave us a few different options and advice on our options. No sales pressure, just good advice and available options. He left us overnight to mull over our choice and advised Louise would call us the next day to check if we wanted to proceed. As promised Louise called the next day to discuss finance options and take a deposit, she was really helpful and we placed our order. It was a very smooth process. Within 30 mins we had a date for our work to commence. Again as promised the engineer Tom called us en route with a ETA and arrived on time. We were a little concerned as we have a light coloured carpet in the hallway but as soon as Tom arrived he covered all the carpets in the areas of works with a product I’ve not seen before, called roll and stroll, it’s a thick sticky cling film carpet protector which was great. The installation went very smoothly and the electrician arrived in the PM to install our Hive and he very patiently showed us how it works. From start to finish Smart Energy were brilliant and I would highly recommend them as a trustworthy company. Keep up the good work guys and thank you

Futhermore it's also difficult to distinguish between different companies as there are so many available online - Google search.It' can be very difficult to get professional, competent and skilled tradesman. H R: I would like to thank Ecotex for a great job, from my initial enquiry which was very informative and really helped me decide whether it was something I could afford to do, to the gentleman who came out to give me my quote and the chaps that did the work I am very pleased. Even when I had to ring and delay some works due to a family emergency they were very helpful, the lady who answers the phone in particular was very understanding. Some minor delays due to the unforseen weather we have had, but was told from the beginning what would happen if the weather delays work, but Ecotex were on it, with full communication throughout the delays. Richard Haynes: We are still awaiting a call back from this company. We have made many attempts to contact them and their response has been very poor. We had some guttering put up which is now leaking very badly. The one time they did turn up they were unannounced when we had told them to contact us first so that I would be in. After that visit the guttering appears to be worse. I am finding their after sales service very poor. This work should be guaranteed for 10-years so I expect them to examine this but still have not called me back.
C Williams: I'm very disappointed to have made full payment to Ecotex is June 2021 for an external rendering job, but now find that phone calls to Ecotex are going unanswered.The scaffolding that was erected at my house is still up, which has caused significant problems this week with other work that was planned at the house.I have other work scheduled to start, which has had to be postponed due to the lack of information from Ecotex about completing the removal of the scaffolding at my house. I was told on a call on Tuesday 20th July, that this would be prioritised and their phones have since been switched off.This is highly frustrating, the work to add external insulation to my property was completed without issue, but has created additional costs for me to rearrange deliveries and schedules for the further work that was planned.I understand that the grant voucher can also not be redeemed, until the building regs certificate is provided, which again cannot be done whilst the scaffolding is in place.A very frustrating experience overall, which almost 5 weeks after the work was completed, is still ongoing!
