Wood Farm House Livery: what do users think?
Zachary 19: No boys
Phil Whitehouse: Our weimaraner Mia goes to doggy daycare hear and loves it, as soon as we enter the drive she knows where she is and can't wait to get in with her friends. When we collect her at the end of the day she's tired and happy which for a dog with her energy is hard to achieve.
Julia Morris: Enjoy
Jo Nosko: Horses well schooled, kids love to engage with animals
samantha samant: This place is not what its cracked up to be. The horses are good, some of the horse people are okay but it doesnt feel very warm it feels sort of clicky. The saddles felt over conditioned i have pikur jodpurs with grips and i was still sliding but the trainer Stacey that took us on a hack, it felt like she was piting us against each other. I was talking to my friend Harley whos a rider 10+ years of experience i am a rider of three years experience going on four years but im in a equine minor (trainer track)The trainer was talking to me about my friends riding as she was stuggling with a horse who was a bit naughty, to be fair the horse didnt want to work due to being tired. But, my horse wouldnt work until i held the reigns what to me felt super tight.I asked the trainer about mine and my friends horse cause i saw she was still struggling after giving the horse the same comand 10 different ways but it still didnt listen. I did the same sort of dance as Harley did with her horse, with mine. When i finally asked Stacey something to the affect of would we benefit crops. The trainer Stacey said yes my friend, would but with my horse i wouldn't. But not even 20 minutes prior my horse was being ridden by a guy with a crop. The guy said she was riding beautifully.yet she never gave me or my friend a crop. The indoor and trail was another story. There was no lights,on the indoor arena , not easy to see proply they didnt give us head lamps when we when out on the hack we rode at 7:30pm. Our horses were slipping on concrete and it was absolutely dark.I was leading and nervous horse and didnt know the track the trainer walked besides us. The trainer who was walking besides me didnt give me directions. Ive never rode the trail before. It got very dark very quickly it was only until i dismonted off the horse did i realize at least one of them probably had a phone with a torch There were alot of nosie people near by the trails, i was surprised the horses didnt get spook also the trainer was getting to involed kept tapping the horse on the neck and pulling at the rainesEven though we said we would come back i will not be coming back to the stable. They gave us very tired horses and the kids that work there are very very rude very disappointed (Except for a kid name ben he is super polite, def tried to make us feel welcome and he offered us a drink of water). But in the ride and its nocked my confidence, not happy.
Sarah walker: My son has had two lessons so far really nice and friendly he is really enjoying it so far

Warrens Hall Riding School: what do users think?
BELINDA Blake: Great first lesson in 8 years and with the same instructor, Sarah. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one!
James: Great facilities and professional but still friendly staff. Went here for an open evening with our daughter and very impressed. Excellent clean facilities and great yard with happy horses. Recommend if seeking lessons.
Nicola Lathbury: Just come back from a fantastic open day at Warrens Hall. A beautiful venue with so much love gone into it, we look forward to booking it for my daughters birthday party and for networking events with a twist. The staff are so caring and really took time to answer all questions
Stephen Lathbury: Excellent, highly recommended.
Rachel Andrews: My daughter has enjoyed having lessons at Warrens Hall for almost 7years. I’ve always found the staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. My daughter has built a lovely relationship with her instructor, who has helped her become a great little rider. I have total trust in her with the safety of my daughter. The recent refurbishment of the riding school by the new owners is fabulous, with the horses and premises all very well looked after, activities and lessons are well organised and the day to day running of the yard is well organised. (we were lucky enough to part loan a livery for a while so had 1st hand experience of this) The new ménage is particularly lovely and the location of the riding school offers brilliant hacking without any road work, so great for riders of all abilities. The additional activities offered such as pat a pony, dressage, own a pony days etc are great fun to take part in too!!
Christine Edwards: Lovely place, fantastic horse's and ponies and everyone is very welcoming and friendly, thay do a lot of charity work for the local community as well.
Natalie: I had my first ever horse riding lesson this week with Ella. I’d never sat on a horse before so I was pretty nervous! Ella was so lovely, encouraging and very knowledgeable. Custard the horse was also great haha. Lovely welcome at reception for free hat and boot hire and great facilities. I will definitely be booking another lesson soon!
Kerry Oldfield: Little bit of advice, don't book lessons too far in advance, my daughter was diagnosed with a health condition, her riding teacher advised that she wasn't happy to continue with her lessons until her health improved, we are owed over £300 and we have been advised that due to their robust!! Terms and Conditions, there's nothings I can do about it. They are keeping my money.
samantha checketts: Lovely place great instructor
Ciaran Flanagan: The riding lesson for my Daughter was really good. She enjoyed it. I expected it to be alot more untidy and smelling of horses, however that was not the case the whole place is lovely and clean. We were greeted with lovely welcoming staff who were very friendly to my Daughter and very helpful. Overall experience was brilliant My Daughter enjoyed her first riding lesson and wants to continue doing this, However I shan't be returning as I was accused of "videoing the lesson" I had literally just took my phone out to check the time. When I told the instruction that I wasn't recording I was met with an aggressive response "well I saw Videoing earlier'. I hadn't takenmy phone out of my pocket up untill this point so am a little confused. I was also sat right in front of a sign that advised of no photography so I respected that rule.Sadly although my Daughter loved this whole experience I will not pay to be spoken to like a child.I'm sure there are plenty of other stables to choose from.
Kelly Hill: Brought kids here to trial riding lessons. Beautiful facility and honestly, the best staff I have EVER been around. One of the kids will for sure start riding lessons. My husband is terrified of horses but wanted to overcome his fear. The main trainer was AMAZING with him!!! She was so patient and calm, with her help, he managed to have a quick ride with her leading the horse. Best staff around, hands down. An unforgettable experience!
Andreea David: We celebrated our daughter's 8 years birthday with a Pat-a-Pony & Riding session birthday party at Warrens Hall this weekend. The kids absolutely loved it!!! The staff was brilliant, everything was so well organised, we all fell in love with the horses and everyone wants riding lessons now :) Thank you so much for everything, we had a fantastic day and memories (and lots of photos) for a lifetime!!!
Denise Slator: What an amazing place this is , the staff are brilliant and very helpful. It’s a very friendly place and unbelievably clean and tidy. The horses are well looked after and are very good with all the riders. I have two children with complex needs and I have noticed a great difference in one of their behaviour since going here regularly. Everyone needs to try this wonderful riding stables you won’t be disappointed
Emma Morris: I've recently started taking my 5 year old Daughter for riding lessons. I used to keep my horses at Warrens Hall some years a go and what the new owners have done with the place really is amazing. It has had a much needed update, which has a lovely modern feel to it now. The facilities are excellent and very clean. The staff are very approachable, helpful and friendly, with a high standard of teaching that is tailored to the individual rider. But what is key for me, as a horse lover myself, is that it's evident how well the school's horses are looked after and cared for.
p5 research: We have been so impressed with all the staff at Warrens Hall. My daughter Olivia has been riding here for awhile now and Sarah has been brilliant with her She has written at a few places before but we have seen her come on so much since coming to Warrens Hall. Her confidence has really come on and Sarah has been so encouraging. All of the staff could not be more helpful and we are so pleased we found this place thank you all so much. I have also started to ride here with the encouragement of the staff and particularly Sarah which is a major thing for me as I am registered blind and have not written since I was a child. Again thank you
Emma Peever: Great horse riding school with very friendly staff and lovely owners definitely would recommend.
Jodie Crowe: Fantastic place looks amazing after the refurbStaff are very friendlyMy niece is learning to ride absolutely loves it and learnt a lot in just a few lessonsWould highly recommendKeep up the good work 🐴
Nikki Boo: It's furnished nicely but my experience was horrible and wasn't what I was expecting, let's just say after 10minutes of horse riding I got off the horse and went home lol. Will be going to another horse riding school and taking lessons there.
Sarah Horne: I would most definitely recommend this riding school to anyone with children. My daughter has been going to Pat a Pony sessions and walkout sessions for a while and she absolutely loves them, but she couldn't wait until the day that she turned 5 to be able to have riding lessons. Saturday was her first lesson and she absolutely loved it! She said it was amazing! She did nothing but smile and laugh the whole time. She jumped up and down with excitement before and after. The staff have always been so welcoming and have lots of patience with children. They are friendly, knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions and provide a professional service with personal touches. My daughter loved the fact that her name was on the screen wishing her a 'Happy Birthday!'
Emil Donkov: Good for practising, bad as school, my daughter has visited the school 3 times sofar and each time she has been asked - have you been riding before, have you trot before... normally in a school you expect trainers to keep a record and take care for the progress of their trainees, unfortunately is the only working riding school in the area and we don't have a big choice. this is not the first riding school which my daughter has attended, so I have a base for comparison, the previous one was an intense school abroad during the summer holiday, for 2 weeks my daughter was just about to start learning how to gallop.
Debra Jones: Really good riding school the staff are very friendly and helpful, the horses/ ponies are well cared for with the right nature for all standards. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and hygiene of the paddock and stables. I'm really enjoying watching my grandaughters learn to ride in a safe caring environment

Debdale Riding School: what do users think?
Summer B: I got taught by kids and were very rude to me when i didnt know what to do. They always made fun of me for my jumping position and i was not improving at all. Other reviews on here are apparently staff
Diane Stevens: Fantastic place. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Really recommend 😊
Oliver Soper: Amazing place with friendly staff, Some issues can be found in the uneven terrain and stable club people. But with friendly approachable staff, its the perfect riding school. I started as a beginner now I'm riding with my own horse on the roads. Thanks debdale!Ollie.
Emma Brettle: First lesson today and super impressed. Young girl Nat was incredible with my daughter and her first ever experience of horses and riding! Really looking forward to many more lessons and fun here.
Kerstin Mitchell: I have been a customer here for +18 years and I can really vouch for the excellence of Depdale Riding School! It might look a little tired and muddy, but the heart and care that goes into looking after the yard is pure Black Country genuine. All the horses are well cared for and the staff is very knowledgeable. Our sons all learned to ride here, and it was magical seeing them learn a new skill and growing in confidence.
Lisa Dew: Great little school. Accessible, approachable and really helpful. Taught my daughter all she needed to know about riding and horse care

Donna Brookes: Brilliant place
Samantha Goodman (Mantie): Unorganized. Unprofessional. Uncaring. Unable. My son had 5 lessons. Never the same tutor. So starting again every time. Tutors dobt seen qualified to work with younger children. One Tutor said my son was awkward and too much hard work because he was too young to read the letters in the arena... they just weren't bothered.Other reviews here are 'staff'!
Matthew Evans: Fantastic place and down to earth staff very friendly. The lady want did my first riding lesson was a fantastic teacher at how to handle the house. Would recommend 100%. WOW OMG!! XX

Bourne Vale Stables LTD: what do users think?
Amerdeep Chanian: Three session in and I can’t recommend Bourne Vale Stables enough. The horse are well maintained as are the stables but the care given to each rider is exceptional. Sarah and Grace are excellent in supporting all the riders and their individual needs. Sarah has the patience of a saint and her teaching is second to none. Amazing riding school. Ayva can’t wait for her next session.
Maalas Yagoub: Had my first lesson at Bourne Vale Stables today and I cannot begin to describe how enlightened I am and how much I have learned. Although I have a bit of previous experience in trotting, Denise fixed the mistakes I was doing and taught me a handful of tips, tricks and techniques to implement in my riding. I learned so much in 30 mins than I would have doing 10 lessons at a different riding school.Denise was incredibly informative, supportive and instructive in everything she did and taught me. Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back soon.To top everything off, after my lesson, Denise asked me if I wanted to bring the horse in and she taught me how to tackle off the bridle and saddle out of the kindness of her heart.Believe me when I say that every pound was worth it!!! Highly, highly, highly recommend! All praise to the lovely Denise!
Dionne Dowling: My daughter returned back to Bourne Vale after a few years and felt as though we had never left. She really enjoyed her lesson and can’t wait for the next one. After watching the delight on my daughter face I decided to have a go myself so I eagerly booked a private adult lesson. I was not disappointed the service I received from Sarah who was friendly and professional. Even though I was nervous as it was the first time I had been on a horse, Sarah made feel relaxed and confident as if I had been riding for years .My horse Sally had a very gentle temperament and it was a very good match for a nervous beginner.
Olivia King: I have started riding here recently and the coaching has been fantastic. The horses are very well looked-after and the indoor arena is a life saver. Would definitely recommend.
Rafik Hassam: The lesson should be for the full 30 minutes or hour.
Narpat Inda: Positive:Quality
Cathy Bowler: I had a crazy idea 7 months ago to learn to ride following a drunken night out and agreeing a ranch holiday for a friends big birthday. I genuinely didn't believe that I would ever be able to pick riding up, as firstly I was scared of horses however, my instructor Denise got me on the horse and within the first lesson that fear was greatly lessened. I now have weekly lessons with Denise and whilst I'm not a natural at riding, I'm getting there and importantly enjoying it. This is all down to Denise who has been excellent. She explains things very clearly and is patient and instils confidence. She's very good at explaining different ways to try and improve and always come up with a way that I've understood and it's worked. Also helps me that we have a laugh when I make a fool of myself. From my interaction with the other members of team bournvale, always friendly and helpful. Would I recommend these stables YES.
Bex Cox: My daughter loves to ride there .She is loving it today she was so proud of herself .I love watching her it brings a smile to my face every time I see her in her the best bit of her life xx
Lewis Ashman: Positive:QualityCompleting my 2 weeks of work experience here I couldn’t resist but to write a good review. The amazing and knowledgeable staff made me feel welcome and have taught me so much in such a short time. If you are wondering whether to go to this stables then my advice is to go you won’t regret it. I’ll definitely be returning 😁😁
Suzanne Poyner: Can highly recommend doing “The adults day at the stables “just completed one on the 20th of September found course very informative and practical brilliant for confidence building as we did a lot of hands on activities with the horses and ponies also had 2 hours of riding lessons.I was allocated a beautiful well mannered horse called Leo who was matched perfectly for my requirements and abilities he was a true pleasure to ride groom etc throughout the day.Denise Peter and Alyce who took the course were very professional knowledgeable helpful and look after us during the day. I learnt many things regarding stable management and have gained more confidence with this equestrian experience. All in all I had a very enjoyable time can’t wait to do another “Day at the stables “ soon !
Laura Taylor: I'm in my mid 30s and hadn't ridden since I was a teenager and after reading the reviews, I felt as if this would be the riding school for me. I'm definitely pleased with my decision. The horses and ponies are taken care of to a really high standard and all the ones I have ridden so far are excellent and respond really well (even to my rusty commands!) The teachers are fantastic and I'm growing in confidence with each lesson I have. They understand my needs well and choose very suitable ponies for me to ride so I never feel out of my depth. Lessons are fun and relaxed and whether you choose group or private, time will be spent on your needs! An all round excellent riding school!
Scott Stanley: My daughter is a regular horse rider at this stables after we moved from another. She was welcomed into the stables and has made a vast improvement in both her horse riding and knowledge of a horse. She enjoys all aspects of her lesson from riding to turning the horses in at the end of her lesson. She loves her horse riding lessons and is always treated with great respect being a young rider. The staff are very polite and professional and have worked hard to help her build confidence after falling off previous.
Lucy Fuller: After reading a very uncalled for negative review on here I thought I should respond with truth about this stables. My daughter has been attending lessons at this stables for the last 18months she is now almost 7 yrs old and is confident in rising trot and building confidence in canter. Her confidence and riding ability has massively grown whilst being here even after tumbles off ponies and this is down to the fantastic riding instructor team that they have. The staff have ALWAYS been professional from her regular saturday riding instructor, to the girls who lead the ponies on the lessons and the other staff who great you and take bookings. Every person my daughter has been in contact with have always filled her with confidence at every lesson. Not only does she attend to learn to ride, she is also taught how to get on and off the pony safely unaided, safety around the stables, and how to manage and care for ponies. I would very highly recommend this stables for any rider of any age. We have watched many young children start their beginners lessons and watched them grow in ability and confidence due to the well experienced and friendly staff!
Louise Bentley: I've been riding here for a while now the staff are friendly and welcoming horse's well looked after.i always come away from a lesson feeling good .just started bringing my 5year old granddaughter she loves it too.would recommend this school to any age
Angeli Arora: Unproffesional and angry behavior of old teacher, refusal to fulfill her duty. My daughter was denoed a help needed to even start her regular lesson. I will take this to the court . This action must be explained in detail.
Pauline Williams,: Bought my husband lessons as a gift. He absolutely loves it. Staff are very friendly and put u at ease. Place is amazing so clean and quite, all the horses are well looked after. So glad my friend recommend them. Can't thank them enough ...
Jacoba Wilkes: After nearly 30 years of experience riding I feel I am qualified to give a well informed review of Borne Vale Stables.I have frequented many riding schools in this time, all over the country and I can honestly say I wish I had stumbled upon Borne Vale sooner! The minute I walked into the yard nearly 2 years ago I instinctively knew it was the place I could learn a huge amount from. The calibre of teaching is fantastic, the instructors are well qualified; knowledgable; professional; friendly; and above all else care for their clients. As you get older you become more inhibited and self aware as a rider and for me the biggest factor with choosing Borne Vale was that I immediately felt and knew that I was in safe hands. Of course riding is an unpredictable sport and accidents will inevitably happen, but I could tell every precaution is taken to minimise this risk to the rider. The riding school horses are all great, another observation when purusing the premises and watching lessons in action before I jumped back in the saddle myself. They are well cared for, selected with due diligence and loved. The staff know the horses and ponies inside out and this is probably the reason one feels so safe there, because they know the animals temperaments and can match rider's experience and competency level to the horses well. All staff are great with any level of rider and I love to arrive half an hour early before I ride to watch the childrens' group lesson as they are so much fun to observe (and given my predilection for nostalgia it's a great evocation of memories).I am lucky enough to benefit from the knowledge and talents of two of their great instructors Sarah (predominantly) and Denise (occassionally) and both are absolutely fantastic. I feel extremely blessed to have stumbled across such a wonderful establishment so close to home.So in conclusion to my soliloquy, whether you're a complete beginner and never been on a horse before or this is far from your first rodeo experience, but still want to learn then Borne Vale Stables is certainly the place for you! I promise you will get from there whatever it is you wish to achieve from your riding career. To be honest I can't see it NOT being the place for anyone!
Belinda Yeend: I throughly recommend Bournvale Riding Stables . I have recently started riding again after many years and was a little nervous but after my first lesson here all my nerves went . The riding instructors are amazing and my instructor put me at ease straight away. I feel that my confidence has grown so much , the staff are so friendly and welcoming . The horses are so well looked after and cared for . This is by far the best place to go horse riding i highly recommend it lovely stables .
Lynn Soudan: I was very disappointed to see the very negative comments from Mr Britain. I have been riding at Bournevale Stables for quite a few years and have learnt so much through the patience and experience of my instructor (Peter). I enjoy myself so much I now go twice a week. The total experience of riding at Bournevale is exceptional, the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly and the horses are extremely well looked after. In my time there I have taken part in dressage competitions (did better than I thought I would) and even tried my hand at jumping. I also volunteer with two Riding for the Disabled Groups which meet at Bournevale and the horses we use are so well behaved with our young disabled riders (of which my daughter Nicola is one). Bournvale Stables are in my humble opinion one of the best in the area and if I could give them more than FIVE STARS I would.
Lucy Kendall: I started having lessons to improve my riding and knowledge of horses and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Not only are the instructors and staff helpful, they are also very welcoming. All the horses and ponies are happy as well, and it is clear that they enjoy the lessons and life at the stables! I have learnt so much coming here and have massively enjoyed my experience so far.
Ewan Lawry: My sister has been going there for ten years now and has really come on as a rider. The horses are well looked after and the staff are welcoming, instructive, and friendly.

Hole Farm Trekking Centre: what do users think?
Simon Schmid: Lovely place to learn riding a horse 🐴
Kasia Stachowiak: Waste of time and money. I bought my son a ride, he was afraid but he got on a horse. And from that moment a tragedy ... They led the kid into the mud up to ankles without warning me that we would go this route. I stayed far behind them, sinking in the mud, and no one even noticed. The woman leading my son didn't even look at him and he sat terrified that I was missing and was afraid that he would fall. 30 minutes, the woman did not even exchange a glance with my son, not to mention asking if everything was okay. When they came back she got my son off the horse and left without a word leaving us in the middle of the square... My son loved horses... after the ride he said it wasn't a fun experience and he never wants to ride a horse again.
Fergus Byrne: Cold but still everyone happy getting on with it 😜
Mitchell Roberts: Best riding school around the staff are friendly and welcoming the facilities are amazing the horses are beautiful and well cared for.
Carol Jackson: We had an enjoyable experience here at the weekend where I took four children on the pony trekking and three of them extremely enjoyed it. Unfortunately the one child refused to get on a horse from the get go but the place issued us a refund which I was not expecting and extremely pleased with. They did try very well to get him on the horse but he just wasn’t having it this time thank you very much and I was very pleased with the experience
lei zhao: A good place to get into horse riding
R Venkat: Very nice place, plenty parking, opportunity for children and adults to have horse riding lessons.Staff are friendly and approachable.
daniel heather: It's a good working stables with a great riding centre and great staff. Horses are all well looked after and good for all ages to ride.
Holly Latham: My Son goes riding here absolutely loves it, the staff are great and all the horses and ponies are fantastic
hiii :D: My daughter keeley loves it here and all the staff she works with
azeem imtiaz: The place was Brilliant, although the staff was not very friendly.
Nikki Groves: Have always been wonderful with my shy girls. Really friendly staff.
Reen Khan: The young lady answering the phone this afternoon has been so helpful when I was booking a led riding session for my son. Thank you so much!
Debbie Logan: Best experience ever
Majid Pervez: Took my niece to Hole Farm Trekking Centre today. It was her first time riding a horse. The staff were lovely, kind and helpful. A great experience and she can’t wait for her next lesson. The horses are absolutely beautiful and well looked after.10/10
Beverley Hepworth: Lovely trekking centre, very friendly and approachable staff, helpful and effective discussion re riding experience level, very accommodating for a mixed level group. Had a wonderful day, thank you!
M Jabs: Visited this place with 5 children ranging from 7 years to 15 years old. An extremely efficiently run horse farm, the horses are well behaved and happy...its obvious that they are well cared for.Our children were quickly kitted out with relevant sized boots and hats..and relevant sized horses too..my son had a very big horse brought out for as he is fairly tall. Each horse had an assistant assigned to it who walked alongside, so although our children were complete novices they never felt afraid or in danger. This is a wonderful place and well worth visiting..as I will be again very soon.
Nour Hamzeh: There is a pre-ride assessment and you can rent a helmet and boots for 1 poundThe hack rides are suitable for children even the advance canter hack they don't canter that much or that long it's only for a very short time ( we cantered 3 times each time is probably less than a minute and went on trot maybe 3 times the rest is slow walking ) most of the hack trail may have hikers and children so you spend 90% of the hack on a slow walk. The safety measures are good
Barbara Haywood: First impressions was how clean the yard was and the ponies and horses looked in good condition.
Anika Emanuel: Really lovely place. Very friendly. I was late this Saturday I do apologise but my Godson and Cousins really had a wonderful time. It wad there first time doing anything like this it was a great experience. We most definitely will be back. Loved seeing the Beautiful animals
mickie bbz: AVOID!! Rude owner who like to look you up and down and say you look heavier than what you are saying and that you're lying about your weight. Rudest lady I have ever met. So many better riding schools out there do not go here!!
