Kay Mloyi: Brought my mum here for her birthday and had to apologise to her for wasting her time. Firstly, online menu and their physical menu didn’t correlate - got to the restaurant and at least 40% of the menu wasn’t available - if we had knew before, we wouldn’t have come. Everything we asked “sorry we don’t have it” no problem … ordered our drinks. Waited more than half an hour for drinks? Then my mum ordered gizzards starter, I order livers. 40 minutes later I get the livers, and mum is told there are no gizzards ??? So the whole time, what was happening? Why did they wait to bring out my starter and then say, sorry we don’t have gizzards? does that make sense?Mains come after about an hour, kids meal comes some time after ours, kids should be served first. The rice was so undercooked it literally tasted like pebbles, it’s shocking. Then the rest of her plate has a strange aftertaste and said it tasted like it had been left out for a while. Ribs I got were over cooked, can tell that they were left out for sometime as well, really dry on the sides.I can only say the waitress we had (light skin girl) was very nice, polite and understanding, even when I told her we can’t pay for one of the meals because it was genuinely inedible, didn’t argue or try to create excuses. But the place itself isn’t great. If menu is super limited with chefs on holiday, why not close? Instead of stretching yourself thin and making service even worse

honest c: Waited for more than 45 minutes without even being offered a drink. The kids who are serving looked really confused. The main meal came before what is meant to be a starter. We had to request to get the table recleaned. Visited after it was recommended but it left us disappointed and the person who took us there embarrassed.

Kay Fad: Lovely environment however you will wait for an hour for starters and main might never show up till you give up.Starter was too salty, management needs to step up 2 years since my last review and same issues experienced again.

Cynthia Karen Dhliwayo: Highly disappointed in the lack of flexibility. Kitchen was closed fair enough, had ordered a takeaway before it closed. Bar was open until 11, was more than happy to eat from our takeaway boxes while we had a drink but got told you can have your drinks but can't eat the food in the premises because the kitchen was shut. Rather senseless to not want to make some profit from a customer who is willing to buy drinks after buying your food!!!!

fiona jael: The food is amazing at this place, the ambience too.. only major concern the few times I’ve been there is the waiting time for food to be served.. takes over an hour. So just be mindful that you’ll wait a long time before your order is served.

Alex Hughes: A £15 meal was Birdseye fish fingers smashed into a wrap with chips. Genuinely better meals just down the road at McDonald's which is a shame as the previous restaurant before this pub was really nice.

Chris Enright: Sunday lunch is excellent value but the selection of vegetables was not as extensive as other local carveries, the Yorkshire puddings were hard, the cabbage was under-cooked and the gravy was watery.The meat was great and the girl carving it was an expert.There were no easily accessible toilets as there is some refurbishment work taking place at the moment so guests with limited mobility might want to wait before visiting and check that the regular toilets are back in use.They don't know how to do a liqueur coffee and, after accepting and taking the order, the waitress visited to say they don't do them??? That's funny for a hotel.They overcharged for a drink when we checked the bill (500ml Recorderlig cider for £13 stood out a bit) and also a 'Kids Eat Free' advert everywhere that the waitress said she hadn't seen before when we asked for the £7 to be taken off.
