Kevin Webb: Played mini golf with my kids. Was a decent course even better when considering the price. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The onsite cafe had a good variety of food, and everything was made well and tasted great and again was reasonably priced

John Holmes: Great facility, used the driving range with Top Tracer - reasonable price and not too busy. There is a cafe and some kids stuff together with a 9 hole course that I've not used. Car park is a bit pot-holed . Friendly efficient staff. Will use again

James Southall: Nice 9 hole corse for the amateur golfer. Fairly wide open fairways, but bring a few spare balls because if you hit it into the tall grass you will enevr find your ball!
Paul Wilton: I don't play golf so I can't comment on the facilities in relation to that. However I go there regularly with work and always find it a great experience. Everyone who works there is a pleasure to interact with. The site itself is superb and the treatment of children or those with disabilities is excellent. Highly recommended.

Brian Simmons: Recently went to the Range for our grandsons birthday, along with 19 of his school friends. I was not looking forward to it, I thought the children would get bored.Was I wrong Mark and his son sorted the teams out an presented his requirements for safety. You could of heard a pin drop. They then started on the driving range Mark and hid son very professionally helped along and within a few minutes you could not hear anything buy laughter and enjoyment. I felt sorry for some senior players and apologised on the way out they said they had enjoyed it also. They then had a slap up meal in the canteen. Very professionally done. We will be returning again. Well worth a visit. The groups where from 6-10 Mark may have a few professionals in the future.Regards Brian Simmons

Chris3792: Bought a full package set of Cobra Fly XL graphite golf clubs in April with a 12 month warranty.During a professional golf lesson in June, the shaft of the 9iron broke on impact of the ball and taking a divot.When I took the club to the shop, i was accused of breaking the club by misusing it, the damage wouldn't be covered by the warranty and I was expected to pay £59.99 for repairs.Despite trading standards stating to me I should be entitled to a repair under warranty, on presenting this evidence to American Golf and Cobra, both companies are still unwilling to cover the defective club under warranty.Very poor customer service with the accusation, very poor 'warranty' cover. Definitely would not recommend or conduct future business with American Golf.

Dave Buffery: Merry hill American golf is the most unhelpful store I have ever visited the young lads in there are clueless how to treat people they put me on par with someone who bought a bag of tees to me who as spent about £10,000 pounds over the years with American golf I will not spend another penny with the store again I’m 61 and don’t need a couple of wet behind the ear kids telling me that’s company policy-be warned stay well clear !

Mark Noott: I popped in to buy goods with a voucher I had been given during lockdown.I was told it had expired, and also that it had been extended by only 3 months. The shop was closed for more than that due to covid.Very poor show, staff really not interested at all.I've spent a lot of money in there in the past, but won't visit again.

Scott Ryan: Good service in store, I visited a few stores and the guys here and were proactive, greeting you as you enter and answering questions so I decided to buy. They are up against it in a difficult retail climate, understaffed and I could sense the frustration of the colleagues trying to do their best but let down by the company no doubt.But 3 weeks for delivery? Surely not? In this modern era delivery needs to be priority. I find it hard to accept the 3 week delivery time on custom clubs is because they are built from scratch, the shafts measure in half inches so it's not that custom. More likely poor stock levels in the warehouse, Poor excuse, and their online chat is embarrassing, the agents couldn't be any less interested with their responses if they triedSuch a shame for a company with a unique proposition who could thrive, golf struggles to entice the younger generation and you can see why, it begins with buying the club's and if it wasn't for the staff in store I wouldn't buy from American golf again.

Gary Blake: This game is so full of glitches. Loading play off holes just keep loading forever. Then you get timed out without actually taking a shot. It's crooked. Constantly cheating unless you make in app purchases. Contacted support about cheating, everytime they. come up with different excuses as to what's happening. Don't install
Amar Sodha: Fantastic service from Martin and the team. I got fitted for some Mizuno irons and Titleist wedges. Having never been fitted for clubs before I didn’t know what to expect but Martin was brilliant, and took his time explaining everything and figuring out which clubhead and shaft was right for me. Unfortunately mizuno messed up and sent the wrong heads however when I came to hit these, I actually preferred them and opted to keep these although would have been under no obligation to do so; Martin was more than happy to get my original spec sent out if I had wanted this. Despite keeping the new clubs, Martin also sorted me out with a new bag for the inconvenience. I would highly recommend coming here for club fitting and I will definitely be returning in a couple of months for a new driver.

Graeme gives great lessons very clear and has improved my game dramatically. Harrison is very helpful and a star when it comes to fitting clubs. Cameron was great to speak to and very knowledge. tatted ste: I came in yesterday to go on to the range as it was my 1st time at the range I was served by a lovely young lady who set me up with a loyalty card and showed me the basics of the range. I came back today to pick up a glove and a towel I was served by a lovely lad he was very helpful and his knowledge was great. I'll definitely be a regular from now on. A great range with fantastic customer service

Nick Reed: I had been really struggling with my game and trying to fix my swing problems with youtube videos - making things worse in the progress!After a nightmare round too far, I booked a lesson with Simon @ Ultimate Golf and within 6-7 swings I had a diagnosis, backed up by the trackman data, and the insight to point me in the right direction. Simon gave me a couple of feelings to try and within a few swings the smile was back on my face. Looking forward to my next lesson and getting scores moving back in the right direction!If you are struggling with your game or just looking to improve, take away the guess work and get yourself booked in for a lesson!

David L: Went in on Monday to ask about options regarding a new set of golf clubs for someone just starting out! Spoke to a guy called Darren who was happy to help at first! Then after 5/10 mins he asked if I was buying that day and I mentioned that I wasn't to sure and there was no rush and he literally turned his back and stormed off in a mood and said oh I'm misunderstood I thought you were buying today! I was shocked and horrified that someone could treat you in such a disrespectful manner! He must have been busy as he went and stood by the till twiddling his thumbs! I wont be returning and went elsewhere with much nicer service!

Katie (I hope I remembered her name correctly) was a star, she made us feel so welcome and like no job was too much for her. Price was very good. Service was top notice. What was included in the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended. Generally even those at the club who spotted our function were very friendly so very nice experience. Thank you & the view was beautiful from the function room (pictured)

Greig Townsend: Just had a club fit with Jon at the Sutton Coldfield store. From the moment I walked in he was very friendly and helpful. He has great knowledge and explained everything to me during the club fit helping suggest suitable clubs and how I was hitting each one. He also gave me tips on my swing giving me the best tip I have ever had which actually transformed my swing there and then. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Robyn Moscrop: Just been to American Golf to get some Christmas presents, I have no idea about golf! Straight away Adrian the store manager came over to help me, he talked me through the golf trolleys and then helped me pick some extra presents to go with the trolley. On the eve of Christmas Eve it is so busy yet Adrian did not rush me he was full of great advice, talked me through the American golf membership benefits and even helped me with my things to the car. Thankyou!!!

Sean Aldridge: Today I went to Princess Alice’s American Golf shop.I saw an item for £4.99 (a hat) however once the item was scanned it was £9.99.The young and extremely helpful sales assistant asked the older sales assistant ( not sure if he was a Manager) for clarification of the price.Even though the label clearly said £4.99 he said that it was £9.99 and that £4.99 was the Summer price and the winter price was £9.99.He was unhelpful and his attitude and behaviour was lacking in customer service and good will.He did not speak directly to me the customer and continued with his work. Needless to sayI asked for a refund and left the shop.This in my opinion was an unnecessary and lacking attitude. Up until this happened my husband and myself had enjoyed good customer service from the younger sales assistant who was interested in helping us select a set of ladies golf clubs for our daughters birthday. His advice was sound and good humoured.We won’t be returning to the shop again.
