Black Country Mental Health: what do users think?
Sophie Bradley: I find it really helpful
Hey: This was a horrible place! I specifically asked for an almond espresso but they gave me a vanilla cappuccino. They also repeatedly asked if I wanted cream. I'm offended. DUHH
Nic Auerbach: I am a BACP independent practitioner and have worked with BCMH for over 2 years now. As an organisation they always put the client's needs first and provide a supportive environment for all kinds of mental health issues.
Nikki Wilkinson: I have been a member of BCMH a long time .First of all no one judges you .The staff are really nice and listen to you .I’ve not heard a bad word about them .You can always get through on the phone line .In 2021 I ran the London Marathon for them and did the midnight walk with them .I plan to run again for them so they can help others like myselfKeep up the good work xx
Alexander Walker: A very supportive service for mental health and well-being needs. I worked with the service and felt they were really motivated at doing their best for you wanting help and wanting to help others improve their mental health.I look forward to working with the organisation again, and recommend The Black Country Mental Health service for those living in the Black Country area.
Chad Wright: It seems like they've deleted my review which had over 10 likes so I'll post it again.Called up just before Christmas to see if they could help with my loneliness and was on hold for 40 minutes before I hung up Called a few days later and was on hold for 25 minutes before someone finally answered.Explained my situation and this guy and he told me about this open drop in session every Sunday 7-9pm. He then proceeded to interrogate me why I wanted to attended and I replied with that I wanted to meet and chat with new people and also hopefully build up my confidence. He asked why I wanted to attend 2-3 more times and I didn't know what else I could say, so I asked if I could speak to someone else. Passed onto Sandra who confirmed the event was a 7-9pm every Sunday. She wasn't really that helpful as she refused to answer any of my questions like roughly how many would be there and if any drinks are provided.A few weeks later I finally decide to attend one and called up to double check to see if the event is still on-going. Sandra tells me that the event never took place during 7-9 but instead takes place at 3-5pm. Its almost 5pm so I've missed the session. It seems like they're only in it for the pay check.
s b: An incredible organisation run by a small dedicated team who run different groups and drop-ins. Caring and compassionate help when you are struggling with the daily challenges brought on by mental health issues. No judgements, just an unbiased confidential service. Their help has proved invaluable to myself and others I know.
Carly Grandini-Williams: Black Country Mental Health (previously Dudley Mind) are a fantastic organisation. The support they give to people and their families who are affected by mental health is outstanding. They are my chosen charity to support, which I have done personally and through my place of work, Saz’s Ceramics & Crafts. I have met Sandra Vaughan and Dave Tyler on several occasions now, and they really are passionate about what BCMH do and what they represent. Top marks BCMH!!
Courtney Gallear: This is definitely q blessing in disguise. They have been helping me for 3 months now and honestly I couldn't think of a more safe and welcoming place to go. The staff are lovely and so respectful. I've always struggled with finding the right help but these guys saved me and I would definitely recommend to someone else.
Chioma Janefrancess Okeke: This support program has helped me tremendously. I’m not yet where I want to be, but there has been positive changes. The support workers are extremely kind, and sincerely care about your well-being. I will greatly recommend them for support.
Andrea Childs: An amazing charity, with dedicated, caring volunteers and staff. We have raised so much money for this fabulous organisation and it is all spent on such deserving projects. At this time especially during/after Covid when mental health problems have escalated this organisation is so much in need and are helping people every day. They are supporting people and spreading the message that it’s ok NOT to be ok.
John: 10 stars very well run organisation it's amazing what the charity achieves on such a small budget the staff and volunteers are all very caring and supportive in any mental health crisis. And it's ongoing support for as long as needed. I have been a frequent visitor over the past 5 years and made some nice friends in the peer support groups with like-minded people that understand and don't judge you on a bad day. on occasions the group will go out for a meal or drink which helps build greater confidence outside the group. The groups are mixed and there is no pressure to attend every week people drop in and out as they please but the majority of people are regular visitors you can talk openly without judgement share your experience of mental health with people that understand and learn how other people manage their mental health. It's great to see so many men attending the groups since the Pandemic. Over the past 5-years I've seen a lot of people attend the groups from businessman doctors office workers mental health can affect anyone I never thought it would happen to me but it did the biggest turning point in my life was to pick up the phone and get the support I needed.
Emma Cornfield: Since attending groups at black country mental health, I've noticed a positive improvement in my own mental health, staff are very welcoming and helpful.
JJX Logistics: We work with Black Country Mental Health very often as it's something very close to our hearts they are an amazing origination to deal with, really friendly and always willing to help anyone. If anyone is struggling please contact Black Country Mental Health for help.Always speak out, its ok not to be ok

The Elms Health Centre: what do users think?
julie grigg: Had a wonderfull experience and full support from ther first appointment to the last
Yasmin Bains: Took my daughter there for 2nd time emergancy and nearly 3 hrs there to say she its her emotions. 15yrs old crying for help bad thoughts low mood depression and get a leaflet to help with breathing technics and control anger. No sorry i could sit in there chair and give that advice, disgraceful for young people who have mental health. All they ask for is help.
Chris Dunnington: Extremely good and important service for our children. They have been helpful and caring. I would recommend them to anyone. It's just a shame that the Tory government has decimated our mental health services over 12 years of cuts.
GABRIEL the baby: Good. I'm currently attending EMDR therapy and all of the staff have - so far - had me and my family's personal best interests in mind. I've been here for about a year now and been given to about five different therapists in total, all have been immensely kind and diligent with their work. The only fault I can really find is that communication has been tampered with a few times (as therapists have tried to send me and my sister information but the information has been altered accidentally by the office staff) and the receptionists have been a bit off when calling a few times.
Lesley Green: Total waste of time. They don't listen to you. I've been trying for a year and half to get my son assessed for autism , I was told to forget about autism for the moment and it won't change anything. No it won't change anything but I can get help from autism outreach for my son. His already being assessed for ADHD by the hospital as camhs didn't want to know. He also has learning difficulties focal epilepsy behavioural problems and tactile skin sensitive. Can't write won't put on to paper .don't know how these people have jobs
Golden Nugget: Such friendly staff!!
Bobby Foley: no communication had an appointment in june still heard nothing dont know what's happening. They never return my calls I have questions I need answering and no one is helping. my son who clearly has autistic traits is suffering I feel like we have been casted aside and left. need support with my son hurting himself no one available to speak to I'm feel so angry and upset with the whole situation
Charl Priest: Still waiting on another appointment has didn't have enough time to diagnose my son when we was there for a hour and haven't heard anything know people who has been diagnosed with one meeting but not in my sons case
tessie smith: All they do is try and blame you for your childs behaviour .Dr Gingell one of the worst.
luke millard: Excellent staff and respectful with myself and my daughter. Can not thank them enough for the help assisting us very quickly and giving great advice!
mark simmons: We feel very disgruntled with the way our daughter and grandson have been treated by a member of the child mental health team. Our grandson has been visiting the clinic for assessments over the last few weeks. He clearly has autistic traits which are not being recognised.Rather than assess the issues here. Our family have been treated like social outcasts. It would appear that because our daughter is a single parent. The assessments where in her opinion centred on her own personal qualities rather than paying attention to the needs of the child. To stereotype a parent in this manner is in our opinion totally out of order. We believe that this is more about cost cutting rather than provision social care. We intend to fight the decision here and shame the member of staff whom should not hold such a post in our opinion.
