Optima Electrical Training: what do users think?
Miles Richie: Completed the course with Adam,Happy daysGreat work guys 👍
DJM: Half way through the course! Can't fault these guys!! So far so good 👍
Isaac Rose: Optima offers a great course, the tutors are amazing and they really know their stuff would definitely be coming back
Kathryn Poppitt: Do not use this company! I paid for a level 3 electrical course which I was told would be completed in 12 months. We are now two and a half years and no qualification. Terrible customer service and I wouldn't go near this company again.
Sam Box: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Guy Walker: Trainers give great feedback, helpful support.
M A: Scammers they don't know who the awarding body of qualifications are!So how can they say they can get you qualified?I questioned this and they removed my comments and facts to put them straight from their site!Would you want to pay someone to be taught something they didn't understand themselves?Normally I wouldn't have posted on here but if they had apologized and been professional about their error they probably would have got 5 stars but the fact that they removed a factual constructive post as I did give the answer it my posting. Means that they aren't Professional and handled this completely wrong.Means they are not trustworthy! But this is only my opinion.

Jason Read: Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.Always willing to advise on career routes
Wajid: 100000% RECOMMENDI came in for my Electrical Inspection and Testing course 2391-52 and was amazed by the way the course was structured. Although it was not a not an easy course, which was expected really, enough support and guidance was given to ensure I was able to get the best possible result. My tutor Dave Senior was extremely helpful in all aspects and answered any questions which i put forward. All in all, this course was a very pleasant experience and full of knowledge for anyone wanting to gain that qualification. I would not hesitate or bother looking anywhere else other than at WMD Electrical Training. This will be my go to place now for any future courses I wish to take!!
Alex Rees: Great company, very helpful and understanding. Excellent teachers with free parking and free tea + coffee. Fantastic would highly recommend!
Anver Osman: Dave is the best, I would recommend everyone to go there, and all other staff are very good as well.

carl hardwick: A superb training centre with extremely knowledgeable and friendly tutors. I would 110% recommend this place to my friends in the trade.
Sean Crozier: I have now completed and passed the Electrical Testing and inspecting , Solar PV and Battery courses with WMD Training. I was very impressed with the Training Centre and the course material too.The lecturers were extremely helpful and understanding if you needed a bit more assistance. I could not recommend these guys highly enough. Thanks again to Dave, Dave Jnr, Jim and Mo.You made the whole experience very enjoyable.Kind RegardsMark Crozier
Jamie Peterson: I Have just completed my 2391 inspection & testing course at WMD Electrical. The course it's self is not a ease course to complete. How ever The course had been structured in a very professional way that combined with the high standard of teaching made the course very educational and understandable. All the relevant publications are available onsite which makes the course that little less stressful Incase you can't purchase them before it begins. Over all I would highly recommend WMD Electrical Training Centre to anyone who is looking to complete courses in electrical/ Gas or renewables. I have just booked myself on the next Domestic Solar PV course In the New year.
Lewis Ansell: Would highly recommend, perfect for anyone looking to get into electrics, needing a refresher or wanting to learn more about the trade. Staff are great and really helpful, will be coming again for other courses
MySparks Electrical Installations: Great little centre and trainers with genuine extensive industry experience. Jim and Big Dave are the pillars of WMD. Enough training rigs to get your training on A+ effort for the free coffee and treats. passed my 2391-52 exam. Genuinely I don’t know why people find these exams hard… than again not everyone’s a Dave or a Jim 😅What I meant to say under exam conditions we all tend to trip up but again I emphasise Jim and Dave genuinely WILL get you through anything you are not familiar with just ask question and take the courses seriously spend time going through what you are being taught at home so you don’t feel like a plum the following day.Dave Jr is another gem at WMD humble and calm so when your having a melt down (like me 😅) just have a chat with Dave Jr however little it may be the fog lifts of the brain.Once again great training centre and wishing WMD a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Midwest City Electricals: Just done the 2391 - Testing and Inspection Course and can say I have chosen the right place for it as Dave and Jim both have extensive knowledge and experience in the electrical field and certainly will be able to help anyone looking to do this course as both genuinely care for ones progression on doing things correctly! Many thanks gents and will be seeing you again for further courses!
Bhupinder Dulay: I have gained the skills and knowledge through the great teaching at this centre, I found both the theoretical and practical experience engaging. For someone who had next to nothing exposure to the electrical trade, I have found that I now have the skills to carry on with my practical experience to go on and make a career out of this.I would recommend this centre to anyone that is looking to go into a trade whether it be gas or electrics or even just to polish up and get certified for those who are already in the trade.Thank you to the WMD team
Peter Collins: on arrival meted and greeted by staff .Trainer was helpful and informative and I pass my 18th Edition
Jc D: If you want to get into the electrical industry look no further WMD has the best trainers in the country don't waste your money anywhere else
Jay Roo: Very pleased with my decision attending this training center. Achieved my 2391-52 here thanks to the support an guidance of the tutors Dave & Jim.I also opted for the addition 2days practical which was really insightful.Initially I did have two other training centers in mind, but once I called in to enquire about the course and was offered a visit to see the facilities and have a conversation to assess my knowledge I was impressed. The tutors here will take their time to go over any topics which you find challenging and break it down to a level of understanding.Very much appreciate that these training providers actually care about the standard of the industry and are not just here to sell a dream an collect payment. I’d definitely recommend 10/10Thanks again WMD.Jay

Birmingham Electrical Training: what do users think?
Alexander Robinson: I done my apprenticeship working for John Sims at Osborn Electrical Ltd. It's only as I get older I realise how much I owe him.
Donna Bickley: Happy to take your money but not happy to train and support.Being told "you should know that" when you ask a question is demoralising and makes you feel like you can't ask questions.Wasted almost £40005 days of being read to from regs book for 2391 but no preparation for the practical exam. Then receiving a voicemail from Rob saying if I want to apply for an extension I have to pay £550 and he isn't able to speak to me again until I pay!No communication, horrible attitude, disgusted with the way they have treated me.Will be taking this further.
Gmall Yafai: Nice to see people who care.Really pleased with choosing the college.
Graff Meone: Parking not good around here the actual test centre is well equipped as i should expect. Its a good place to book your course
Ben Collier: Really good guys here, being taught by people who have been in the industry really helps. Walkable for the train station to.
Karl Hughes: Great. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Everything on time, social distancing rules upheld. I passed my exam on Friday and received my certificate Monday, very pleased with these.
Matt Ivins: Just completed the 2919-01 course here and having completed courses at various other providers throughout the country this is definitely one of the best. Friendly staff, good facilities with smart, spacious air conditioned classrooms. Our tutor, Richard definitely knows his stuff, very informative and along with the well structured yet relaxed approach to teaching, made for a thoroughly enjoyable course. Lunch was also good, not a limp cheese sandwich in sight!!
Chris Read: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAttended for my EV training course, what an absolute legend Richard is, so knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If any apprentices are looking for a college to go to this is top of the list, Richard made it so easy to understand and his guidance is fantastic really appreciate the time spent tutoring us. Many thanks 5 star college.
Chris Mee: I was dealing with a lady called Lisa.she made the whole process extremely simple, she was extremely positive and more than helpful she actually went out of her way to help people. 10 out of 10 for center.PSthere is a gun shop next door which is worth looking around in.
Evan Larke: I have taken both the 2382 (18th Edition) and 2391-52 (Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing) courses at Birmingham Electrical Training and have been extremely happy with the level of tuition provided. Both Kieron and Rich who delivered the courses were knowledgeable, helpful and clearly experienced in the industry. Would recommend the centre to anyone.
Fletch Thomas: Just in the process of completing my 2391-52 exams following my course last week. Had a good but intense four day course with a lot of information to digest. Informative tuition from the tutor Rich with a professional delivery. Will be looking to sit my EV qualifications here in the not so distant future.
Dan Oliver: AVOID AVOID AVOIDAfter doing my NVQ at stourbridge ATC and my 18th edition at James watt collage I decided to do a 4 day 2391 course at Birmingham electrical as they offered to do the course in a week. This was a massive mistakeAt my first arrival I parked in there empty car park and a angry manager came storming out telling me students weren't allowed to park in the car park. When asked where I could park as the street outside was full his response "not my problem"The tutor Richard was extremely rude and was constantly belittling students. He had a chip on his shoulder and had no intention of actually helping students. The lesson consists of Richard literally reading out the regs book all day, when students asked questions he would either ignore them, or complain they was "wasting his time" there was no compassion or charisma and the tutor himself was very negativeAfter the second day I decided I wasnt actually learning anything from Richard and asked if I could do my own learning at home for the last two days as this would be more beneficial. I was told that if I did that I wouldnt be allowed to take the exams (although i had payed £950 for them) the director who made that decision wouldnt even speak to me and sent the receptionist to tell meOn the second day the same director came storming into the classroom ranting and raving about face masks saying he would cancel the course if facemasks weren't worn correctly although he himself the teacher and all there staff had no face masks themselves (this was on an adults course by the way)There seems to be an institutional problem at this collage starting right from the top working it's way through to the bottom. All the staff seem rather moody and its obvious the collage itself is only interested in taking your money and offer very little in returnTo sum this up, there are way better collages out there with a more positive outlook to teaching who will actually help the students get through the course. Just wish I would have read a review like before handing my money over
Alan Biggs: Easy to find - great tutors and informative courses. The tutors have an expanse of knowledge second to none and are adept at imparting it to students. If my company decides to send me here again I will be enthusiastic about it.
Felix O: Nice friendly staff. Easy to find the entrance. Provided me with everything I needed. Brilliant service, highly recommended.
Shaid Rasul: Absolutely awesome place
Mario Luce: Great 👌
Janice Docherty: The numerous terrible things about BET:John - the director is the most rudest vile person and treats staff and pupils like they are gum on his shoes. Students in class can hear him shout (very unprofessional) and disrupts the classes in progress.Jack - the son of the director is out of his depths and makes things up as he goes along as he does not know what he is doing. Also, there are CAMERAS in the boys toilets which is creepy and staff have caught Jack watching them regularly which is most bizarre. Also, tools and materials in the workshop date back to the 90’s (hacksaws blunt, screwdrivers broken, side cutters don’t cut - rusted and blunt due to age).I feel sorry for the tutors who have to work here as they are the only reason classes run on time and help the students out a lot.I do not recommend this training facility as the director and his son who run it are nasty rude people and see the students as numbers rather than people. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Joe D: AVOID.If you want to learn how to be an electrician, I wouldn't recommend this place. Apart from throwing information at you in order to pass exams, you'll have no practical experience in the college until Year 3. They boast great facilities, but you will never use them. Tutors are always changing because of management issues. Staff aren't supported at all. Apprentices aren't taught any viable skills to use onsite at the college, they are expected to work it out for themselves which defeats the object of going to an education facility. This is a profit making training centre, where profit comes before its staff and students.
Citilink: Absolutely terrible, the petty directors make it hard to actually focus on learning as they constantly pull pupils out of classes for minor things such as chewing gum, they also have cameras in the boys toilets, which jack one of the directors constantly watches. They are very patronising and love to find things to moan about. Jack is one of the most horrible humans to ever exist
Hunky Hunk: AVOID !!! YOU WILL MAGICALLY SEE ADVERTS FOR APPRENTICESHIPS IN INDEED BUT THEY SAY DONT CONTACT COMPANY AS THEY WILL NO ACCEPT APPLICATION... WELL I'VE CALLED 2 OF THE COMPANYS BOTH OF WHICH HAVE SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT BET PUTTING A ADVERT ON LET ALONE HAVE ANTHING TO DO WITH THEM REALLY THEY JUST WANT YOU TO SIGN UP TO BUILD MORE NUMBERS AND GET PAID FOR IT...AVOID THESE CLOWNS !!!!
