Edward McGurk: Wonderful visit called in for a quick pint after a hard day. Was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Beer was a fantastic experience. Served to perfection.. pity we didn't get to enjoy a few more.

D D: This classic Batham's pub is worth the short walk down the hill from Dudley High Street, alternatively, several buses also stop nearby if preferred.A friendly and welcoming pub offering a selection of Batham's Beers (primarily Bitter and Mild).They offer the usual selection of bar snacks, including good value cobs.There is a large function room available for hire, which also hosts music nights.An outside drinking area offers great views towards the Clent Hills.Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available next door at the Lamp Cottage.

Paris Unitt: Came here for the first time with my husband & some friends, felt we were very unwelcome from the start. We had security guards already watching us as we come in for no reason, we were kicked out for dancing & having a good time because apparently we had had too many even though we were just dancing like everybody else in the venue.The security were very arrogant & extremely rude, as well as the manager. Absolutely disgraceful, this is a poor mans river rooms. Will never go here again!!! And by reading the reviews, I’m not the only one who’s experienced this! Says a lot!

Mary Collins: Atrocious night last night - my 'fish bowl' drink I was sharing with niece was taken with alcohol still in it (was behind me on table & didn't see straight away that it was taken). When I realised I asked who I thought was a bar 'man,' (I use that term loosely as he no man I tell you), to replace it. He was immediately angry & rude - at first he said he had thrown only ice away - I disagreed - then he rudely ignored me after mouthing off to nobody in particular & told the young barman to give me a short drink - again I refused. Next thing the bar 'man' - who I was told is the manager when I asked for him - yelled at another 'man' (supposed door man) to "get her out!" I was told to leave & when I refused I was pushed & pulled & had to shout to try & make them stop! One was man handling me & then 2 more bouncers joining in! I had to go past the table my friends & I were at - saying goodbye & telling them to stay - trying to reach for my coat & bag off stool - but I was still being pulled/pushed out! I very strongly shouted at the 3 bouncers I was going & for them to keep their hands off me! They denied pushing & pulling me! Even worse they threw out my friends/family who had been outside & just come back with fresh drinks. Please note - I am 58 years old, a social worker, was sober - and had 3 bouncers round me touching me! Intimidated is not the word - felt like I was lifted off my feet at one point. NEVER been treated like that in my life! Oh - turns out the geek with dirty blonde hair & shameful ponytail is the manager or deputy manager! No communication skills & terrible team skills - oh the main 'man' who did the pushing acknowledged the geek manager is not a nice person - though he used a different descriptive but apt word! Waiting on police & either way will def complete form for SiA. I'm sure the little man had no card on him! Oh finally (I promise) the angry looking & rude female door person - just to come over & tell me not to waste police time by calling them! Great work Red by Night team - bullies & liars and just thank God for cctv - if it's still there!Rant over. No stars but had to give one to post review.Anybody else had this experience?!

They even played the requestes.😊 mostly I was to thank the bar staff and the security for what they did and looking after me when I needed and dealt with the situation properly, I could enjoy the rest of my night and it made me feel safe.Thanks so much to all the staff. Which is ready to find fault with something stupid in order to start a conflict and call names and subsequently throw it out into the street, customers who leave a lot of money at the bar.The owner clearly does not care about his business, since there are those in the security who are simply bored at work, and they are looking for an excuse to entertain themselves, kicking people out for spitting into the toilet. I don't recommend this place to anyone!!!

Enjoyed it here would recommend anyone to pop in and check the place out like I did! I’d imagine in the week it would be quite cosy as well! Shame I don’t live in the area anymore or I’d pop in more often!

Only downside was my wife dropped me off and our toddler needed to use the restroom but as the pub has a no child policy they refused to allow her to use the facilities. A bit dissapointing considering there was no intention of them staying in the pub, but felt they could. Of accommodated a 3 year old needing the toilet

Decent space and music was on really like this place shame I don’t live in the area anymore as I’d love to go more often, place always seems clean to a good standard, always a good selection of beer/ales to choose from as well. Roy Stobbart: All the food is so tasty - called in to get some about 14:30 on Saturday 18th at rear of Mo's Bar in Bewdley. Had large portions of Jerk Chicken, Curried Goat and Brown Steak all with rice and peas. Definitely the best we have had. You have to wait a while he serves it up but it is well worth the wait - just check his facebook to see serving times.
