Steve Day: Made an emergency visit here recently with a chipped front tooth, as my usual NHS dentist could not see me for 2 weeks. Tooth was summarily fixed quickly and efficiently by the personable and reassuring Dr. Joe Dowie. Couldn't fault the visit.

Sarah Elwell: I visited north street dental surgery for a free consultation a couple of months ago after seeing an online ad.I hadn’t been to the dentist for several years and to say I was an anxious patient would be an understatement.On my first visit I couldn’t even sit in the chair and sobbed my heart out.The condition of my teeth is something that has plagued me, affected my confidence when talking to someone, when having pictures taken and so on.After my consultation it was decided that my best course of action would be 2 teeth extracted partial dentures and the rest of my teeth filled with a clean and polish.Due to the extensive repair work needed I chose to have sedation so that all of that work could be done at once.Prior to this I had my dentures made by Steve. It’s not often that you meet someone who can put you so much at ease in such a short amount of time but he was so calm confident and pleasant that I instantly trusted him and the process that he needed to complete.After roughly 2 months in all I can talk to someone without feeling like the ugliest person in the world because of the condition of my teeth and now need to learn how to smile again If you are anxious, nervous or just don’t know what course of treatment u need I couldn’t recommend North Street Dental enough! After hearing the adverts for North St Dental on the radio I decided to give them a go...I wish I had done it years ago! From the moment I walked in they made me feel at ease. Heather Fitzpatrick: I just moved to this place and I've never been to a dentists like it. The people that work there are amazingly lovely and helpful. My dentist Owen and the dental nurse Emily have been so considerate of my irrational fear of the dentist, and they have made every effort to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Every time I speak to someone on the phone, it sounds like they genuinely care about helping me. Not to mention the work that I've had done so far has all been great, they are all very gentle and the hygienist (can't remember her name!) was super helpful, she talked me through how to better care for my teeth and gums. Just want to thank everyone there for the service I've received so far and I thought this would be the best way to do it.

The whole staff, reception, the dentists, the practice manager, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The customer service is outstanding, lovely people, lovely clean office, easy to find, spacious, can't fault any of it. Also had the pleasure of meeting my new favorite dentist - Dr Joe, a lovely gentleman who clearly knew his stuff, his knowledge, calming manner and overall personality really made the service. He gave me all my possible options, was completely transparent about the service/pros and cons and answered all my questions, was super friendly and really put me at ease. Have been considering getting my teeth straightened for a while and have been really nervous about it, especially after visiting my own dentist who completely put me off it, but after today I can honestly say I'm really excited for my next trip and my new smile. This dentist is now worse than a third world one.Appointment was 1150.Arrived 1132 no one on reception, one person in waiting room1137 receptionist arrived1145 other patient leaves1205 I ask how much longer I have to wait, told i would be called in soon1210 I leave without being seen.This place needs a serious investment in staff, training and infrastructure.This is a very sad demise of what was once a very great detail practice under the original owners and ones that took them over.This current ownership couldn't run a bath. SHAMEFUL

She was very thorough and I feel that my children's dental health is in good hands with her. My son is quite a nervous patient and she was so calm with him, explaining everything that was going on in a child friendly way. My daughter has a genetic condition which affects her teeth and she was really understanding and explained things really well to me.

Deborah Rolinson: I've attended this dental practice for over 20 years now and never had any problems when seeing my previous dentist Ranj Sharma before she went to the Private Purity clinic. After lockdown I have attended and had previous treatments. Most recently, August-September 2022 I have had fillings and scale and polish done and a plate fitted mid August '22. I am not happy with the plate fitting, first it was too bulky and needed trimming to fit in place and since has been too loose and every time I attempt to eat with this, food gets caught between the plate and my gums so I have to remove the plate every time I eat. I have been back to the practice and spoke to the dentist who fitted the plate only to be told I need to allow time to get used to the plate as my tongue needs to lay on top of the plate and not push it out ?? I have also been given the option of going back in 6 weeks for a review and realignment of the plate, sending back the plate to reline it but this would be at an additional cost of £62.00 however after paying £282.00 for this treatment and looking up the guarantee on all NHS dentistry work carried out, it states if not happy I can ask for this to be remade....Am I correct?? I've been told that "the plate has been made correctly and the dentist has done her job so I need to do mine by trying the plate out for another 6 weeks" this is not acceptable and I feel the dentist has not done the job to the standards expected, although, if I went private as suggested by the dentist at an exorbitant cost of £650.00 I've been assured that this would resolve the problem. One very unhappy customer!! Update 13/1/23Had plate relined and have received the plate, however after trying it out again for a few weeks it’s still not staying securely in place….I’ve now got severe toothache in my back tooth and been advised I can have a deep root canal or tooth extracted…..not having root canal in back tooth but after everything I’m not sure I want to have tooth extracted by Purity either ! 😡

My dentist was Merunisa and she advised me to have the tooth extracted. I am a very nervous patient and within minutes tooth was took out, no pain whatsoever . Thankyou so much

Debra Cook: Been at this dentist for a number of years, went 3weeks ago as a emergency (tooth abcess), the dentist said I may need a root canal filling, said she may need to refer me to a specialist at cost £1000-£1200 I said I couldn't afford that, she then said they would do an x-ray, but I would have to come back the next day, had x-ray receptionist and the dentist would phone me when she had a look(only works one day a week?) phoned today only to be told the dentist had left,asked if another dentist could look at x-ray she doesn't know when anyone could look at x-ray as they've only got four dentist and they are all busy? not sure where Puritys duty of care is, now left trying to find a dentist😡

Kimberley Dorsett: 0 stars!! Worst dentist ever, awful service. My first appointment was before COVID. I have front wobbly teeth due to genetics and got told if they get worse then come back. Then had to wait due to COVID. Rang to make appointment and had to wait 2 months for that, went to that appointment and waited a HOUR! and still had not seen the dentist, spoke to a lady at reception ( not a receptionist) and explained all I needed was a referral and she asked me a few questions and said she would do it. 9 months later I rang to follow it up only to find out it had not been sent and I would need to see the dentist. Made another appointment for the following week. It was a the week in August when schools etc.. were closed due to really hot weather. I rang the morning of my appointment to cancel only to get a automated voice telling me to ring the following day at 9am so I assumed they were closed due to weather aswel. I rang this morning to make another appointment only to be told I have been kicked off their books due to poor attendance!!!! It's a joke. Don't bother going there find somewhere else

Rebecca Petford: I've given 3 * because the receptionist is so lovely and easy to talk with I was booked in for sedation which I've had before at another practice so know how it works .And a removal of a wisdom tooth .Explained I have white coat syndrome at pre assessment for sedation approval which was approved. On the day I received only 2.5 mil of sedation and the lidocaine didn't work they continued to pull out my wisdom tooth whilst I cried amd screamed in the chair. The nurse kept saying you're so brave so brave hang in there .At what point should a dentist stop when a patient is screaming The nurse was kind and was squeezing my hand .A few hours later face and neck swollen now on antibiotics I'm not exaggerating I screamed and dug my feet into the chair .Pain was the sharpest pain and all consuming .The dentist said 2 hours later sometimes lidocaine dosnt work ! .So i had a deep wisdom tooth pulled with 2.5 mil sedation and 3 injections that partly worked but not fully .I have read the reply please let me be clear I am 45 and have had tooth extractions before with infection amd the sharp pain started right at the start .Which is why more lidocaine was added .Again dentist proceedes withing seconds of pressure added I screamed out again .This continued the entire time

The Receptionist's were very helpful especially Sophie, the Dental work carried out by Shubh was excellent, I really cannot state how thankful I am for all her amazing work especially being a nervous patient - I was reassured and everything was explained step by step. Dylan Badhan: Harps and nurse were fantastic and comforting , operating at the highest level of professionalism. I had my treatment consisting of composite bonding to my upper incisor. I was nervous after having bad experiences at previous dentists and having travelled from Coventry. But after researching thoroughly for a practice, I found that The Gables was the practice ideal for my needs. The team working in this facility made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe in their hands and I would recommend Harps for anyone looking for quality cosmetic dental care !

Ruxi Apostol: The dentist did not offer the service my kids had appointment for, which is scale and polish (cleaning). All he did was a few seconds checkup, not even a thoroughly one. Do yourselves a favor (if you are not paying for the services - regardless of the reasons - we did not pay because kids have access to free dental treatments), just don’t go there. So disappointed!

Lottie Lawton-Hall: This is a difficult review, I have used this dentists for a while the actual dentists are very polite, kind and caring and are more then happy to explain things, they are great with kids and those of us who hate the dentist 🤣. On the other hand the receptionist are very rude at times, ther patient care is poor. The waiting area had seen better days, they have had deliveries in the waiting area for over 3 weeks now just sitting there. There tiolets are also not in use.

Carmine Cortez: Did give a five star review, but sadly it's now down to one. My sister, who has mental health issues, has been in pain for a week now concerning her teeth. At first she thought it was sensitivity pain, so she got some toothpaste to see if that would help. It didn't. So it must be something to do with the partial denture she has in. She called up to say that she's been in pain and they said that they couldn't see her until late March (three weeks away!). She had to hold back the tears and was told that she could call back in the morning. Sadly, she won't as she feels defeated and what makes this worse is that she can't eat or drink! Sad state of affairs when you can't get an appointment to just make sure there's nothing seriously wrong ...I'm now having to seek out another dentist for her just as so she can get someone to look at her and help her - especially as she's unable to eat or drink anything. What's worse is that she has had nothing but bad experiences with dentists and just adds to her anxiety, worry and her body dysmorphia.

So 3 days later on Monday and a few painkillers to help talk I phoned up for an emergency... She wasn't able to get me in and then wasted my time even more taking details before telling me oh sorry we're not taking new patients!!!!!

I've recently had several appointments and a tooth extraction. These ladies were so kind and caring, I've never seen anything like it. I was really nervous before having my extraction and they put me at ease. I felt so comfortable in their presence. I will never go to anyone else again. Thanks ladies ❤️

Pinda Singh: This practise is focused on treating people as quickly as possible with a lack of quality or care. They offer generic advice and provide minimal treatment to save time so they can see their next patient. I would also beware of signing their waiver before treatment if you are having any serious work done as it removes all liability from them even if a mistake is made. Overall I would not recommend this practise to anyone.

I had severe anxiety about having to have these. However Ms Shah and her team were really reassuring and I felt no pain beyond a mild discomfort. I would certainly recommend them and I have got over my anxiety.

anoj kapoor: Went for a emergency appointment on the 16/11/20 , the staff are very friendly and accommodating , i was seen on the exact time stated , dentist put me at ease and explained every detail and process as it happened, tooth extraction was done quickly and pain free with consideration to my comfort, i highly recommend here!. The Dr Amit Kohli has really got magic hands for his patients and they followed all the government covid guidelines at its best .

I love how Marian always holds my hand whenever the dentist is doing some kind of procedure. She's very warm and loving which is shown through her concern. Amit the dentist is always giving the best advice on how to keep my teeth healthy and clean, love how he knows what he is doing and just gets on with the work.

Airborne Monkey: Dentist barely did anything to check my children's teeth. Asked us to sign some paperwork for work completed but he never did anything! He had to be prompted to actually take out some instruments. Suggested one of my children's tooth be removed but appeared to be nothing wrong with it and wasn't causing a problem. Dentist seems to have attempted to claim for dentistry work not actually done. I would avoid and find somewhere else. I personally feel this practice can't be trusted and as such a complaint has been forwarded to NHS England. We are now attending an alternative practice and won't be taking my children there again!

alexandru preda: This surgery is ridiculous, I have had my appointments cancelled multiple times , even 1 hour before the time of the appointment, due to “the dentist being sick” and not being able to reschedule until 2 weeks later. Although I suffered with a tooth abscess and all I needed was a check up and a referral to the Cradley Heath Surgery for the extraction to be performed as they only do check ups, not having the necessary equipment for other types of treatments. I would not recommend.

Michaela Evans: Highly recommend this dentist I am very nervous person when it comes to visiting the dentist, the dentist made me feel calm and comfortable didn't feel a thing after having a filling done.

Ram Verma: The reception staff are really helpful and kind. They provided great advice over the phone and booked me in for a checkup. Did not have to wait long periods and it was very straight forward.The dentist is also great and clearly advised me how to care for my dental issue after clearing all the tartar. My teeth now feel great just after one week of having my first consultation.They are also covid secure, with various measures to ensure the practice is kept clean.

SH NR: Went here 10 months ago and they damaged my tooth. The young dentist examined my teeth in couple minutes barely paid any attention. He Used this scaling tool and ever since I get horrible pain where he was scraping. I definitely do not recommend this place!.

Scott E: This is a part time, appointment only, busy practice. The dentist here works in two different locations.I used to go to the Bupa one in Tipton town centre, this one of better.
