We were notified that the merry hill store had been closed due to issues with a third party and offered to reschedule at the Hagley spa, with no real opportunity to rebook at the merry hill one.Following the poor experience at the Hagley spa, I notified the lady I was speaking with about my disappointment, I was advised to email the merry hill customer contact email, which I did a week ago with no response thus far.The following items were raised for concern relating to our experience..Poor provision for access/parking. Unclear where to go. My wife had to park in the local high street and walk.The therapist was unable to provide water to my wife during her visit!! Ridiculous.The therapist was unable to work the equipment, leading to the therapy bed falling backwards whilst my wife was in it. This could have ended badly..Staff were walking around laughing and talking loudly during treatment, ruining the experience.My wife didn’t receive the package that was paid for. I believe the package was for back, neck, shoulder, facial and either scalp leg or foot massage. She only received back, neck, shoulder and facial.The Doorbell was constantly ringing, further ruining the experience.Toilet could be heard being used during therapy.As you can imagine, this has left a real sour taste. This was purchased to help my wife during her pregnancy to experience a period of calm and relax, but instead she came out feeling angry and deflated.

It was my first spa experience so I was both excited and a bit nervous but Emily very quickly made me feel at ease. I've suffered with anxiety for most of my life and it's such a relief to find a service that genuinely helps. I've not felt this good in such a long time. I can't thank Emily and the team enough. Em Dudley: Went here today with my mom for an early Mother’s Day present for a time for two massage. Was in a duo room and we were made to feel very comfortable (having not being used to having massages before). The staff were lovely and friendly and went out their way to ensure we had a good experience. Was very relaxing and brilliant atmosphere, will be recommending this spa to others. From the initial booking query to the actual appointment today all the staff were very professional. Really enjoyed , we also booked for the afternoon tea and that was absolutely brilliant really made it a special and enjoyable day.

Gabrielle James: 2nd March 2022After my earlier review regarding a visit to the Spa to have my nails done, I am now updating my review.A new appointment was made for me to revisit the Spa and to have my nails redone, I was feeling a little apprehensive about the visit. There was no need, I was met by the Manager, Becky who I found to be professional, caring, a good listener and totally understood how I felt.Becky made my experience at the Merry Hill Spa a pleasant and relaxing one, resulting in my nails looking wonderful. Thank you Becky for all your help and support and I will definitely be returning to the Spa in the near future.I had an appointment booked to have my nails soaked and then a new colour redone, for a party that myself and family were going to tonight. I have been to this venue several times and have had mixed experiences but have persevered as there are two members of staff who when you can get them do a good job. Unfortunately they were not available today so went with another person. Sadly, my nails are a mess and not fit for purpose and I am really disappointed with them. I complained to the girl who had done my nails who agreed that the nails were not right and would need to contact the management for a resolution, there were no management on site so she had to call them for advice and the best they could do was to redo them for me but that I would have to wait another half an hour before they could fit me in. Due to other commitments this was simply not practical. The whole affair has been very stressful and I am now left with nails that look as if my 5 year old granddaughter has done them.On a more positive note I did meet Zena who is a totally amazing woman and who I am looking for to seeing her soon.

Joanne Enright: Before I explain the 3 star , the massage, facial and therapist were amazing. I really enjoyed them but was let down by a couple of other things -I was treated to a pregnancy package. Which details on the price list as having back massage, facial, scalp massage and leg and foot exfoliation. I assume this has changed, as I received no foot or leg treatment and was disappointed as these are definitely the area causing me most issues in my pregnancy.The back massage was perfect, the facial was divine, and the scalp massage was lovely. I would have given a 4* at this point, only let down by the lack of leg/foot work.Then the upsell sales pitch started.... uuuug. NOT what you want to listen to after a lovely relaxing massage. Products listed that my skin need..... another star knocked off for ruining the ambiance of the package.

Georgia: Very disappointing . My husband booked us a spa day here , and we were told we could use the facilities from 10 to 3 . So we arrived at 10 , only to find out the pool , and jacuzzi was out of use and we couldn’t sit in the conservatory area either because that was out of use too . Our treatments were not until 1130 , so we ended up having stand around by a staircase until then , as the sauna and steam were working but they were rammed as all the members who were there were using them as no other facilities working . We had our treatments which were good and the ladies were very friendly except I had a manicure , and the polish that was used would not dry and they didn’t use anything to set it instead told me to go and wait in the conservatory until it was dry before using the pool etc . At this point it’s 1230 and we sat waiting for an hour for my polish to try but it was super thick and gloopy and I couldn’t go in the pool or they would be ruined . The pool was back in operation, freezing cold and full of members but still no jacuzzi working. At this point we hadn’t had anything to drink , we weren’t even offered one having our treatments , just were told there is fountains in the changing rooms , but there were no cups for these either so you’d have to put your mouth to them . No where to get a coffee or anything to eat in the facility we ended up leaving at 130 as we were starving and thirsty. Wouldn’t come again just felt like a waste of money , not a relaxing experience .

Rue O'Leary Walker: So far shocking.I got an email about my reservation day before yesterday to tell me I needed to turn up half an hour earlier for my appointment, my friend’s appointment would no longer be with my own and instead forty five minutes after and the spa had no water 😵‍💫So water got fixed at least, which means we can still go tomorrow but now just can’t contact their phone number to ask for a better arrangement as turning up half an hour before my friend and being separated like that is not what we booked at all.As I took the day off work for it I can’t reorganise and just feels like there was a lack of care in their email.(Will update after appointment, but be careful when booking as their change in appointments like this is pretty shocking).

Mia Amber: The standard room was great and the bed was comfy. The location is nice as well. However they had loud parties until early in the morning which kept me up as I tried to sleep. Their pool had mold on some of the sides. The sauna and the steam room were tiny. Only enough for two people at once. The restaurant was unwelcoming and lacklustre. I really dont think its worth the price...

Seaweed Vibes: Used buyagift to get a back massage and use the pool beforehand. The pool is small but there's jacuzzi and sauna, very calming. The massage was beautiful and well needed due to my chronic pain. I've come out having no pain for the first time in probably years.

manjit singh: A little disappointed, a gym member, go there once a week, the steam room the timer switch was faulty so was working intermittently, boiler was down on this occasion no hot showers or jacuzzi. I've mentioned previously to them about the changing room refurbishment there are no hooks to put your towel when showering, you have to use the window levers . Listen to the customer but they just don't.

Jayne Baker: We booked this hotel and spa for a 60th birthday party...The room we were given was nothing like advertised on their website..Very dreary bare very unwelcoming..NO nice duvet on bed and only 2 flat pillows that had seem better days...The electric blew in the room so had to sit in darkness for almost an hour having just come back from spa..We sat in wet bathers in darkness and cold room while manager tried to arrange another room for us.we were told that we could be moved to another room but this meant we would be split from our party across other side of hotel..At this point we all had had enough so asked for a refund..we were told no at first but manager than rang some outside influence who agreed we could have a full refund...Our visit to the spa was an eye opener.small pool that looked dirty on the bottom, jacuzzi that was cold..Sauna was broken but we wasn't told about this prior to booking..steam room was dark and dismal..No chairs or beds around pool area to relax..There was a lean too on the spa area which was freezing cold and after dark we sat in darkness as there wasn't even any lightening in it..We sat on hard ratten beds that were so uncomfortable..The robes and towels we were given could stand up on their own they were so hard and stiff and stank..The changing area was dirty and stank..The tea coffee machine in spa was broken was couldn't get a drink...It was just awful...The grounds around the hotel were scruffy and unkempt...Tables and chairs outside were very dated and in disarray..No where nice to sit outside and relax..With everything we experienced we were just glad that we got our £520 back ..That's the only thing that went right is that we got our refund..Dreadful experience and extremely stressful...Would not recommend this place to anyone..

I've been going here for my birthday treat for many years, but this year was the worst. We stayed 10-330pm day spa experience. But there was no food (lunch) to purchase as the hotel was being used as a court🤔. So we had a late lunch at the #Bluebrick at 4pm. Because we were so hungry all day the spa experience wasn't the best.

The booking online with their third party company SPASEEKERS.COM went smoothly and they took my money for £160.00 for a Rejuvenation Spa day at PARK HALL HOTEL AND SPA WOLVERHAMPTON. I received the necessary booking emails. I got up at 8am to be there on time for 10am. As soon as i got there the girl behind the counter at reception who was heavily made up asked for my booking. I showed her my booking and she checked on the computer. She looked up with a blank emotionless face "we have no booking for you and there is no availability for you today to have a spa" I was shocked then upset when the realisation dawned on me that they had messed up. She proceeded to say that they had not received my booking from SPASEEKERS via email and she also asked if i had received a confirmation courtesy call from PARK HALL SPA . The lack of professionalism and lack of customer service was diabolical. The lack of care and consideration was very hurtful and cutting. She basically said they can not do anything for me. I had driven all that way, paid 160.00 for what I presume was a professional service and then got turned away. Zero apology, no managers was consulted or alternative days offered for a spa, no compensation for my time wasted. I would most probably turn it down anyway. I just wanted a refund by this stage. I called Spa seekers and it took 30 mins to even speak to anyone. The woman on the call said they did email PARK HALL SPA my booking details and they don't know why they have not received it and put it down to human error. She said she will refund my £160.00 within 5 working days. I am still waiting for my money. I was so disappointed and upset because I had been looking forward to a relaxing day. The knots in my back had knots. I had to go back home massage less and more stressed than I left out. It was a nightmare experience. My Partner,s advice was if your going to book through a third party then check with the company that your having your service with that they have your booking directly. Its never a good idea to leave it to these in-experienced, inconsiderate and unprofessional people that half the time don't know what they are doing anyway.
