The owner of the farm is doing a great job. There was lots of entertainment and various events to participate in, something for everyone. It was an excellent day when it was open.I hope there is another open day to look forward to.

michael windmill-jones: Great coffee and lemon mirangue.... Oh and stunning Windmill and views

Dennis Henshaw: Historical windmill that can be seen for miles in every direction. Situated at the corner of Ladywood Rd and Cat and Fiddle lane just outside Kirk Hallam on the A6096. Lovely country camera shots can be taken with the windmill in the background, especially on a foggy morning and at evening sunset. A brand new cafe as been opened adjacent to it called "The Windmill Farm Cafe"

Richard Harris: Recently opened,cafe/restaurant..fantastic location on top of hill looking down over the Erewash Valley...basic menu, tea's, coffee's etc...not the cheapest but nice food.Parking for about 15 cars.Would recommend a visit.

Patricia Ryan: Fantastic views and lovely food

Caroline Turrini: Amazing views, lovely and clean. I went just before they closed just to check if it was suitable for wheelchair and walking aids. The disabled carpark is right beside the seated outside area on smooth ground. Inside is spacious and plenty of seating. I also checked the toilet facilities out for accessibility with a wheelchair chair. There is a lovely big disabled loo. Next time I will try and bring my Mum. Did have a lovely peppermint tea! I can see it being popular.

mick mason: Wow, what a great little museum. Lots of fascinating stuff here. We came for the Joseph Wright paintings, but there is so much more to see. There's a natural history section, local regimental memorabilia, a brilliant archaeological section, preserved specimens in formaldehyde - they even have some mummies!!Fabulous place with friendly staff. It's free admission, but donations are most welcome, and obviously help with the upkeep etc.A little gem of a place. We'll be back when next in the area. Many thanks

Roy: My second time to walk to Stanton Moor since we moved to a town in the Derwent Valley. Visiting ancient sites like the Nine Ladies really makes me feel connected and rooted to the land of my ancestors here. My visits also prompt me to reflect on what was lost with the rise of intolerant Christianity.Visited on Public holiday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …

Hawkes 399: Very cool landmark with a great story behind it. Walk further on and you'll come across Earl Grey Tower which has its own history behind it and ghost sightingsReservation recommended No …

Magw1 tch: Walking among the Nine Ladies Stone Circle was like entering a secret realm where the whispers of ancient stories mingled with the rustle of leaves. The weathered stones, each with its own character, stood like silent witnesses to a time long ago. Surrounded by the tranquility of Derbyshire's landscape, the experience felt like sharing a moment with history, a connection to something larger than oneself. It's a place where you can almost feel the pulse of the past beneath your feet.
