Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club: what do users think?

Carmel Bentham nee Abi-Aad: Hotel rooms are comfortable, spacious and reasonably priced. Lots to offer on site such as golf, spa, restaurant, bar, gym etc. staff are friendly and accommodating with any needs.Rooms: Room was really spacious and comfortableNearby activities: Golf on site, 15 minutes to the NECFood & drinks: Food and drinks on site are really great. Breakfast is comprehensive and dinner menu is extensive

A M: Nice place for family. Friendly staff

Farzana Ali: This was our first visit to this beautiful hotel. Its in a little rural area away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Its around 15min drive away from Birmingham City centre. The staff are really lovely, I rang for a bucket of ice to be delivered to our room, and the connection on the phone cut off, a few minutes later one of the front desk receptionist knocked on our door to see if everything was ok, and if we needed anything. I have never experienced this in other hotels, they are very hospitable. The breakfast was lovely and really enjoyed it, the swimming pool is a bonus, it's just the right depth for adults to swim in and for kids also, just be aware they do have swimming lessons in the same pool also so there is a division.Overall can't fault this hotel. Would recommend for your getaway to Coventry or Birmingham 😊

Jayne Roberts: A beautiful house that is currently undergoing major renovations and refurbishment it will be wonderful when completed it's a listed building. Our room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. We were met by Tom who was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and overlook the countryside. There is a resident donkey who is quite the character 😀

Phil Robinson: Really enjoyed my stay. A great large room with a great view.I was made to feel welcomeDefinitely stay again.Rooms: A lovely large room.

Alison Foster: What a delightful lodge, I was warmly welcomed by Marie, who showed me my room and explained that due to the building being listed the upstairs rooms were not en-suite, which was ok for an overnight stay but could be an inconvenience for a longer stop. But then I was lucky to have this stunning lodge all to myself until another party arrived. The room, was impeccably clean and comfortable, With stunning views. There is currently no catering provided, but you are provided with everything you need in the kitchen. There is a sizzler pub within a 5 minute walk that is cheap n cheerful, and many other quality pubs and eateries within a short drive. I would highly recommend a stay at the coundon lodge if you want an utterly tranquil experience.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable.Noteworthy details: Stunning views

Richard Pickett: , friendly and easy. The room was recently decorated and the bed was comfortable. Free wifi. It's very quiet and conducive to work if you need to, being located in its own grounds. Dean Webb: Great for a swim, make sure you go early to avoid scummy mummy's and scabby daddies, recently now have changing cubicles and water is warm, very nice.Latest update, restaurant now upstairs as refurb taking place downstairs. The gym is well used by meat head's and steroid users, they do look a state.Have used the new restaurant after a swimming here today and it's impressive, live music and good food after recent refurbishment.Car parking has gone up another quid, now £3.50 after 2 hours, spunkers.

James Alexander: We did the ice skating which was great fun. Good place for a beginner and families, there is an ice rink and a separate course around the outside. Although keep an eye out for individuals who are clearly regular skaters and feel they have a point to prove and need to show off in order to inflate their egos - can be quite dangerous and intimidating for the families especially young children

Macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel: what do users think?

Ghost 98: During my stay at the hotel, I had come across a staff member who I now know as Raynor who had severed me at the bar and restaurant She was very polite and welcoming and had provided superb customer service. Raynor had went above and beyond to help answer any questions I had. Her service has been amazing and I cannot thank Raynor enough for her genuine service which made my stay at the hotel better and making me feel welcomed to the hotel.

Alex “DBC” Hyphen: Pretty good, it’s in a convenient location for Ansty business park and near the local motorways too.Bed was super comfy, the card was a nice touch too. My room was super quiet which always helps a good sleep.Only niggle was the bath, no hot water coming through. Lukewarm at best, and all the body wash near the bath was seized up. Was really craving a long soak before bed.Shower was pretty awesome though.Hotel seems to be having a refurb so keen to come back and see if things change soonRooms: Hotel is having a refurb so I expect the older looking rooms will be having a refresh soon

Richard Jackson: The food was excellent and I was well catered for by my waiter Paul. The rooms are clean and contemporary. Overall a good venue and value for moneyNoteworthy details: The location was perfect just 5 mins of the M6

rjatieno: Really enjoyed celebrating special family birthdays together as a family. The staff could not have made us more welcome or been more willing to be helpful. They obviously took pride in working at Ansty Hall. The room was fabulous with a garden view, a bath as well as a shower, & a box of delicious chocolates as an unexpected treat. We all feasted on our evening meal - choosing different delicacies from a varied menu, ably served by Paul and his colleagues - and on a sumptuous breakfast also. The surprise birthday card and dessert for the birthday ladies was a lovely touch. Loved the decor of the newly refurbished reception rooms, so will be great to see everything finished. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

Kathryn Hanley: This was a birthday surprise organised by my partner. From the moment we drove up the drive to the moment we left was a fantastic time. Prince greeted us at reception and although we were early for check in said he would see what he could do to get our room early. We were then looked after by Molly in the bar who served us drinks and food. She was very attentive and polite. Our room was ready early and it was beautiful. The hotel were made aware it was my birthday and there was a card Prosecco and treats provided by them. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The evening meal was stunning and Paul our waiter could not do enough for us. We left and headed back to the room after our meal opting not to have dessert. A few min later one of the hotel staff was there with a complimentary dessert plate with happy birthday piped in chocolate and was so apologetic that they didn’t get it to me in the restaurant. Breakfast was served by Marianne and Calum who were both welcoming and attentive. We saw Prince at check out who was keen to know we had a good stay. I would love to come back again as all the staff made this a lovely stay.

Ian Blundell: Exceptional Dining Experience at Ansty Hall HotelI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ansty Hall Hotel, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The standout feature of my visit was not only the exquisite food but also the impeccable service provided by Paul, our waiter. From the moment I was seated, Paul's attentiveness and professionalism were evident. He guided us through the menu with expertise, offering insightful recommendations based on our preferences. His friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm for the culinary offerings created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The culinary experience itself was nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasted a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with precision and using high-quality ingredients. The presentation was exquisite, showcasing the chef's commitment to both taste and aesthetics.Paul's attention to detail truly elevated the dining experience. He ensured my glasse were never empty, and he anticipated my needs without being intrusive. His knowledge of the menu and the way he described each dish reflected a genuine passion for the culinary arts. The timing of the courses was impeccable, allowing me to savor each dish while engaging in delightful conversation about Liverpool. Paul's ability to strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for my dining experience made the evening memorable. In conclusion, Ansty Hall Hotel not only offers a culinary journey for the senses but also excels in providing exceptional service, thanks to outstanding professionals like Paul. If you're seeking a dining experience that seamlessly combines delectable cuisine with impeccable service, Ansty Hall Hotel is undoubtedly a must-visit.
