Trying to get refund via online chat as taken an hour so far and I have been passed between 4 different people. Don't sign up to home broadband with them as they never let you leave even when you are 2 years out of contract!!!!!

The person we talked to was extremely rude, did not even try to fix our problem, and kept trying to sell us other packages. When we made it clear we were not interested in buying anything else, he said he couldn't help us. This is not how you get new customers. Avoid this place.

Sacha Allen: There used to be really good staff in this shop - super helpful.Now there's new staff in there who couldn't care less.In the week I enquired about an upgrade and the guy (Tobi) couldn't even be bothered to sit up straight and asked questions to they out of helping me.Today I took in my phone as couldn't get signal. He didn't say a word. He held his hand out for my phone and took it then asked for my pin. I took the phone back to enter it and handed it back. Silently he turned it on and off, fiddled with it and handed it back without saying a word. I took it and waited and asked if it was OK now. "yep". I went back and asked if he had the case because it didn't have the case on when I went to pay for something tk be told "why would I steal your case".Tobi has the biggest attitude problem I've ever come across and clearly isn't any good for business. And the blond guy in there with him isn't much better

He ushered me over to his table to serve me but then took his phone off the table and started texting while saying "what's your memorable word?" So I told him the letters AS HE WAS STILL TEXTING, and he just looked up and said "what did you say?" So I had to keep repeating myself because he was too busy texting. He was talking to me like he didn't want to be there, very slow and sarcastic. He then proceeded to laugh because I said I wanted to switch from iPhone to Samsung. When he went to get the phones from the back he took his own phone with him and was gone for a long time, just to be greeted with the same rudeness as before when he returned. I left and went to Chelmsford O2 where I had fantastic service!

Hayley Winter: This place deserves no stars. The bloke who eventually looked up from his phone to acknowledge us obviously didn't want to be there and looked as though he'd just woke up. He didn't seem to know what he was doing nor did he care. He had no interest in finding a solution for us when we enquired about a possible upgrade but didnt have the device on us. We purposely made the trip to Colchester as it was a sunday and our local one was closed. Awful experience.

Jake Martyn: Traded in a Rare Pink Ps2 with controllers etc.Agreed £63 for it which I was happy with , just needed to be tested which couldn’t be done on the day, fair enough. Said they’d have it tested and will be contacted by email following day to be informed if all ok and funds transfer will be processed. Heard nothing after 3 days, was nearby so went in to see what was going on. Had been tested but was missing the av cable (fair enough I wasn’t aware) and said they’d have to knock a few pound off. Said they could only pay £30 not £63?! Apparently it was because it had a few minor scratches (the physical condition was confirmed before I let them take it) which was reflective of the original £63 pricing… Complete waste of time and money for parking etc. never will I go in again.

Brought an old Google phone in, brand new condition and boxed, bloke assessed it and said 80-100 quid once they've tested it and to come back in an hour with my ID. Fair enough. Dossed about town for an hour, when I came back a different guy gave it back to me and said they can't take it as the left ear sound output was duff. I took it home and tried it out... Guess what..... Nothing at all wrong with the sound, left and right, or the phone as I tested it fully. I can only guess the boss man told the employee when he was testing it that they had enough phones in stock and not to take anymore, to the cost of my time and after the initial guy lost his bottle to tell me after wasting an hour of my time:-/

David Widlake: Very good shop for film and game fans. Large (really really large) range of used products with DVD's and Blu-ray's from £2 all the way up to £32 for rare discs. These are behind the counter on a high shelf. Game consoles, accessories, phones and camera's also sold (and bought).

glen farrant: Decided to use the new drop and go service Monday 18th April so booked items in and dropped of at store before 930am Tuesday 19th it is now the 22nd and still no money in account, it used to be ok when you could just drop your stuff off and pick up cash later after testing now it's just a joke as this is second time I used the bank transfer method of payment and second time I have had problems with it so will be avoiding them in future as it is useless if you are in a hurry for your money.

julian cooper: Would not recommend Vodafone to anyone based on my experience of them.When you get a problem with their "service", good luck trying to resolve it.Their Customer Services is based in the Philippines, the staff could not solve the issue with a top up not working for a broadband dongle, despite this same issue occurring several times within the previous year, and that issue basically being an apparent fault within their own systems.They state that they will "escalate" the issue and get it resolved, basically just lies, they do nothing and leave you with no internet connection, something which I needed for work.I visited Vodafone in Colchester, the assistant tried various things, none of which worked, I suggested calling Customer Services, they are not allowed to call them from the branches apparently, so they just said there is nothing we can do and sent me on my way.Now I know why, because Customer Services are utterly useless.Tried writing to UK Customer Services Manager, they could not be bothered to reply and simply passed it back to the Philippines and all you get is more emails with a multitude of reference numbers but no resolution to your problem.I raised a complaint and just more of the same, I asked for my money back, they offered me a cheque which I accepted, then nothing, then it appears they cannot send me a cheque, although the strange emails that come from their Philippines offices never actually state what they can or can't do despite repeatedly asking the very simple question, and so they end up keeping my money.This company appears to have no morals, appears to lie to you at every opportunity and appears quite happy to basically steal your money.They never refunded my money, nor provided the service I paid for, they were in breach of contract, but they just don't care because for every "customer" that leaves there are plenty more to sucker in.I would suggest that anyone thinking of becoming involved with Vodafone looks at other peoples genuine experiences of them, then finds another provider.

Yin Liu: Entered this branch half hour before closing time to a member of staff pacing and speaking loudly into the phone by the entrance and no member of staff available to help me. I waited patiently by the product I was interested in for the only staff member on the shop floor to finish serving his current customer. When the staff member eventually became available, it seemed as though he did everything in his power to avoid eye contact and attempted to scuttle past me, hoping I wouldnt ask him for help. Thankfully my son intercepted him before he could make his escape, only to be told the item I wanted was not available. He then rudely turned his back on me to deal with another customer. No offer to possibly order one in, or perhaps find another branch which may have had it in stock. Ive had a similar experience in the Clacton branch, and it seems as though the staff do not want your custom.I ordered the item from Argos on the same day. For future purchases, Curry's will be my last resort.
