ashra upadhaya: Inconsistent customer service.Came into the store in colchester thinking they would be able to give me another pair of converse as my shoe had a rip on the side and holes inside the shoe (recently bought). They said it was not a manufacturing issue so I was not given another shoe. However, someone I know has been given a new shoe for the exact same reason as me not once but twice. Very unfair decision made by the staff and they didn’t try to find any other solution.

Went into the colchester store yesterday and the lovely girl who was in there was really helpful and ordered a new pair with delivery included - the right size arrived earlier today never been so happy with the customer service !! Excellent .

I queried it and the VERY rude manager, Emel ??, refused to honour that price, saying someone had put the price on it. I was given the box as it was on the sale table. He told me to pay the original price or leave it - it was my choice. He said he didn't have to honour the price on the box and also then REFUSED to give me his name, when I asked. I will report this rude man and refuse to use his store ever again. His poor staff member looked so embarrassed by his responses.

David Evans: This place is not being reviewed, but I need a way to highlight problems with Clarks shoes.Two pairs of Clarks shoes have been stored safely at the bottom of my wardrobe for a number of years awaiting the very day they were purchased for. Imagine my utter dismay when lifting one of the shoes from its box to find that the sole and uppers had separated. If it were due to fair wear and tear I would be more understanding but that is simply not the case.In my younger days Clarks were renowned for good quality hard wearing shoes. I wish that I could recommend them for the same qualities today. Sadly I cannot!See for yourselves and decide whether Clarks shoes represent a good investment!

Vanessa Ross: Went into the store today to look for some comfortable shoes for work ,after looking in many shops i thought clarks may be a good choice , as a support worker you are on your feet all day ,no matter what the weather you are always out and about , the lady in the store COMPLETELY ignored myself and the person I was with , so I looked around and mentioned I wanted to buy some comfortable boots for walking and preferably some kind of weather proof ,and nothing! She completely looked through me and then another lady walked in with a Fenwick bag and she was all hi there how can I help you today ? I mean talk about customer service! She made me feel like I should not have been there ! I bet she clapped for the nsh and keywords though, but wouldn't assist me in her store . Very disappointed and felt like she was judging me. But surely by now people should know not to judge a book by its cover .she could have made a sale today if she had the right attitude

heather crook: We went in to get my great granddaughters feet measured for the first time. Test and trace app still at entrance and entrance and exit divided. The very helpful assistant was wearing a mask. He made certain that the shoes for great granddaughter fitted well and helped her to stand up and walk, without being too inflexible. He also made sure to explain the wearing in of one pair to make sure they didn't rub anywhere, because they were patent leather and so slightly firmer. Very good service.

Martin Browning: Had to contact Clarks Shoe Dept in Sainsburys at Stanway after the heel came away from my shoes. A guy called Daniel, believe he is the Manager could not have been more helpful. He managed to locate another same pair and had them sent to me. What was all the more amazing was this took only 2 days from my initial phone call. In an age where customer service in many shops is at best questionable, the service I received from Daniel and Clarks Shoes was 1st class. Many thanks
Gay Wiggins: I tried on a pair of boots in store on Sunday…. Too wide, They could order me a pair, narrow fitting. Ordered and paid for, arrived today…. E fitting… wide! Don’t the staff know what a narrow or wide fitting is ?? Very annoyed, got to send them back… and no boots to wear now!

I had an online purchase and another branch return to get processed in store and this was completed with a helpful and no problem attitude. I even ended up buying a couple of things from his recommendation in exchange that were perfect. Super informative and genuine service. I will be shopping here from now on.

Michelle Olney: Fitting staff member we had was incredibly rude to me and my son. Rather than giving us options or asking what types of shoes we would like we were presented with x3 pairs of which x2 were girls shoes & asked which ones we wanted to try on. When I explained this is (clearly) my son and suggested we tell her what we're actually here to buy and go from there. Her response was to huff at the inconvenience of having to meet a customer request and then went back and bought out finding nemo shoes which in no way met our 'Red Trainer' request. I was then told I would not be able to find red trainers anywhere so I best buy one of these. Total waste of time. It's the second time I've had that lady through the online booking system so will be moving to a different company to purchase from. Vans are great!

suzie cook: Visited lion walk boots today.Well I’m so happy I did! I went it wanting to get some new beauty products on the little knowledge I have (trying to be more girly).Louise approached me & im so glad she did, she makes you feel like nothing is too much to ask & makes you feel special. The skin colour match machine was not working but she helped me anyway and we found it, she is very welcoming and knowledgable, which I was shocked considering I then found out it’s her first week, I would never have thought it was!Thank you Louise for just being Fab & making my shopping so much less stressful!

Disappointed with that bought another pair instead.Week laiter went same shop to buy backpack, found a bag on discount for £5, at the checkout lady wanted to charge me £20.Apparently someone labelled this item incorrectly buy mistake. Again disappointed with that chose other bag more expensive, while browsing for new bag saw staff have put back out trainers with one shoe, just for interesed checked the box on a top was right size inside wrong, this will leave another customer unhappy if they will decide buy thise trainers.Right back to backpack went home and checked their website and that backpack I wanted to buy is £4.99. Next day went back to shop and asked why is that that they tried charge me £20 if online stock costs £4.99 she couldn't answer but said she can match the price and charge me for delivery....sorry what delivery?!stock is in store, why do I need to pay for delivery ...staff is very unprofessional, prices don't match with stock online, one big mess is that shop.
