Teddy Mak: Popped in mid-afternoon (April 13) to see if I could get my car remote battery replaced. The gentleman who served me was working on something, but immediately stopped what he was doing to assist me. I was in-and-out in about 3minutes and he was very sweet and professional.In a world where people can be so impersonal, it is nice to meet kind souls. Will definitely go back to Timpson for any related needs!!!!

Simon: Had recently had a high quality pair or leather shoes bought for me (from somewhere else) which due to being on my feet all day and running around my store had worn down within a couple of months, they guy who is always working there was excellent he gave me the best service anyone could possibly ask for, honest and professional from the word go, he re-lined the bottoms and glued the heal back on in no time also cutting and placing the new inserts in that i struggle with and made a special effort for me to have them back asap so i could use the the nxt day, i will not have anyone else serve me in the future (top bloke) and a real credit to Timpsons, thank you.Fantastic workmanship again, i damaged my shoes due to an accident at work and the same guy as always Luke done a magic job repairing them to the highest of standards and making them look brand new, i highly recommend this Timpsons shop to everyone i know. Becky M: My car key fell apart. Insurance was going to cost £150 excess and car dealership wanted £240 plus 10 days to order and cut the key. Timpson's got it done next morning for £45 (reduced for NHS staff) - it took them 15 minutes. Perfect. Thanks Lee - life saver!!

Craig Ingold: Should have learnt the first time when I had my sons passport photo done. They are NOT photographers even with all their fancy gadgets. Had my photo done and had to take them back to be redone. Totally disinterested. Told me the machine was broken and fobbed me off to the store at Sainsburys Got a better result and more customer service from the photo booth inside Asda.
Sharon Lockwood: Don't bother. Had a key cut after a couple of unsuccessful trips back and forth the key still didn't work and I asked for a refund. No apologises for the inconvenience and time wasted (actually think he was too busy on his phone to serve anyone). Customer service non exisitsnt. Clearly needs retraining in key cutting and a some people skills. There was another lady also having the same issue. So save yourself the hassle and pop to the key cutting place near Aldi in Stanway. Cost £2 less and worked first time.

Iain Logan: I am conscious I am out of step with the vast majority of past reviewers. Service was polite, smart and efficient but having purchased an engraved dog tag from a local engraver on 9/7/2022 (which came off because I didn't fit it correctly) I was disappointed to find Timpsons double the price for same product ! It was a Sunday so I had no choice but it was the first time I have walked away from any branch of Timpsons feeling disappointed.

Danso Appiah: I took in my barbour briefcase in to get the shoulder strap holder on the bag reenforced. when i go tthere the chap was with his GF in there and exclaimed the shop was closed. I told him i came in for a collection . He then grabbed my barbour briefcase, lo and behold my bag tha went in for repairs came out terrifyingly and griviously destroyed. There were unfinished stichings and glue marks everywhere. The chap doesnt seem to be competent enough and very rude. I have left my briefcase , and told him to tidy it up. I am not leaving the shop if i am not happy with the job done. He suggested i take my briefcase without paying , i told him no chance. You will have to fix it . He is the worst sort of unproffesionalism i have ever come across my entire life.

The staff are absolutely amazing, so skilled, knowledgeable and helpful.They are a specialist car key cutting location and they are very good. I presented them with a very difficult issue involving a car originally registered in Greece. They dealt with my issue very well and I can only say here how thankful I am for their help and advice. Top notch people!

Tina: Maybe I wasn't clear with my request! I asked for my custom made boots to be re-soled. When I collected them they had been re-heeled! I was late for a friend coming to collect my dog for a walk so I didn't really take note of what had been done. I didn't realise until I got home. I'll have to go back and try again.
Sophie Nixon: Usually this place is fantastic. The gentleman usually working there with dark hair couldn't be nicer. Yesterday (Saturday 2nd October) there was a stand in employee. I can honestly say I've never met someone so rude in my life. We went in at 3.30. He wouldn't look up at us and when he did before I even said what I was there for, he said he didn't have time for anything else, this wasn't his shop and why didn't I come in earlier as he already has a backlog of work. The shop is open until 6 so I was shocked to be asked 'why didn't I come eaflier'?. I tried to ask if they were open tomorrow but he shut me down again interrupting me and said no you can't leave anything have a nice day. I went into tesco to do a shop, and when I came out he was sat on his stool with headphones in looking at his phone. Clearly not busy at all just didn't care as its not his normal job. I feel sorry for the man who usually runs the shop as if I didn't know better I would never return.

kevin lacey: Used K's regularly up until a few years and was very impressed with the service that I received, a full wash basket full to the brim of washing for just £5 ! Infact I used to say that they needed to raise their prices by a couple of quid , so you you can imagine my shock when I returned today for a service wash due to my washing machine breaking down on me to discover that K's had indeed put up their prices they had put their prices up ok from £5 for a full basket of washing to £14.50 for half a basket of washing .. HALF A BASKET !!! So in essence a full basket would now equate to just shy of £30 within a couple of year !!!! Let's just hope that they don't have any more fires that their customers are obviously paying for ! At these prices it's not surprising that you always recieve a big smile on entering , the next time that they see me It'll be the last ! ON MONDAY WHEN I COLLECT MY WASHING !!! No doubt without the cheery smile ! Didn't realise until I got home the extortionate price I'd been charged due to my paying by card , I expected it to be about £7 -£8 but £14.50 is just bloody ridiculous ! And this price wasn't for drying the washing too ! Just for the bog standard service wash ! For less than £5 A week I could hire a washing machine , it'd certainly be much cheaper ! Though I don't need to as thankfully my own machine is being repaired on Tuesday .

Nadeem Chaudhry: My first review.Have used their services for the last 4 years and can only say what a pleasant group of people that run it. The quality of service is absolutely superb especially pressing. I've used their alteration service and shoe repairs and i'm really impressed.

Shelley Fine Artist: The old guy with the beard in this shop cut me a dodgy key, which bent on first use. I went to get a refund and he refused, blaming me for using too much force! He then called me ugly and threatened me, telling me to leave the shop. I reported him to the police for being verbally abusive and I'm taking him to court for my refund.I actually went to the other well known key shop and told them what happened, I showed them the bent key and he told me the key was cut on the wrong machine, so it clearly was not fault. Apparently loads of their customers end up at the other shop to get another key and they seem to rip people off and get away with it. Not this time.

Nora Deme: Awful, disgusting and shocking. I took in my fiancé's newly bought shirt (unused) for the wedding to get it ironed. When I went to collect there was a black oily kind of stain on it, when I pointed this out to the chap, he threw the shirt on the counter and claimed I am lying and I brought in the shirt with the stain (newly bought unused shirt)! He was very rude and shouting with me that he has been in the business for 20 years and I know nothing. Somehow I managed to make them take it back and fix the problem. Only they created more. Instead of cleaning it, they brushed out the stain, which completely ruined the fabric of the shirt. It was an expensive shirt specifically bought for our wedding which is in a few days. When I complained and asked for them to pay the price of the shirt (had the receipt with me), they rudely refused, they were shouting with me, claiming I am lying, and saying I can take it to court they do not care, because I will not be able to prove they ruined it, anyway. So, I am asking anyone who reads this, please do NOT go there, and please let your friends know. They will ruin your clothes, shoes etc. and they will treat you with disrespect. They do not deserve any stars but the review would not post without marking at least one.

Simon Lessing: Brilliant... Knowledgeable and friendly. Had an issue with my car key fob after it went through the wash. Saved me loads of money, by identifying my car's after market alarm system and even came to my house to help sort the issue. Went above and beyond to help. Can't recommend enough.
Feast Colchester: So I popped into Keys Is Us today with my ancient riding boots, thinking the zip was broken. The lovely chap fixed the zip within a few minutes, and didn't even charge me! A lot of places would have seen an opportunity to make £40-£50, but instead, he sent me away with a zip that works and a smile on my face. I will definitely be back, hopefully with something that actually needs replacing next time! Thanks so much x
Angelina Kemp: Great, friendly, efficient service. Popped in today as had an issue with both my Volvo smart keys. They were able to fix the issue in a few minutes and a couple of quid when Volvo tried to charge £150 for a diagnostics and then £140ph. Would definitely recommend.
