I was booked in for nails today and a wax tomorrow, there seemed to have been an issue with the booking and both appts came under today instead. The lady who did my nails said it is no problem and they will sort the wax appt for another day. When I went to pay, nothing was said to me but I noticed the amount charged was higher than usual, so I asked what I was paying for. She had charged me 50% of the wax appt for apparently cancelling last minute, even though I never had an appt today! I tried to reason with her, I had already over 6 appts in the future pre-scheduled and have been a loyal customer, but she was rude and made me feel uncomfortable saying that it was my fault and I had to pay. This is not the first time the system has messed up my appointment, but the last time at least it was resolved. This time she told me to pay the extra money ( for the appt I didnt even book! ) or she will cancel all my future appointments. So looks like I will not be coming back! Abuit Hope: Me and my daughter were given some gift vouchers for Xmas for the salon by my mum. Id recently gone through a really traumatic birth so made the appointment towards the end of the validity period (June) to give myself chance to recover. As it was then summer it was hot and no windows or doors were open in the Salon, I was fine but my daughter is very heat sensitive and ended up fainting 15 minutes into our appointment. The staff were quick to come to her aid opening windows and doors and getting her a drink. The owner Emily told us to leave & get checked over and said she would extend the voucher for 6 months. In September sadly my eldest son took an intentional overdose of insulin after struggling with the effects of his recent diabetes diagnoses. Getting my nails done was the furthest thing from my mind while our family worked with the nhs to help my son. My daughter reminded me about the vouchers in November and I was able to make a new appointment for 28/12 (earliest they had). A few days before Xmas, unfortunately my youngest son came out chicken pox which soon spread to my daughter, I asked the salon if we could reschedule once my daughter is no longer contagious. The lady I spoke to on the phone said this would be fine however Emily later emailed to say she would only give 50% of the vouchers worth and we had to book within 6 weeks. I felt taking over £40 from my mother was rather harsh considering the owner was fully aware what my family had been through. I would have been happy to cover any increase in prices or to lose 10/20% but 50% seemed harsh given the circumstances. Regardless I tried to reschedule so my daughter could use her Xmas gift, however the salon don’t actually have any free appointments until March and the owner has confirmed they won’t extend the voucher even though they don’t have any free appointments within the validity period to offer me!Is that not theft? To tell a customer they have until a certain date to use the service then advise they have no appointments within that timeframe and refuse any kind of extension or even a partial refund?I’m very upset by the lack of compassion & flexibility from the owner especially as we were there on time for our original appointment and it was not our fault we had to leave and the owner is fully aware of my sons recent suicide attempt. It would not harm the business to extend until their next available appointment, especially as the owner is now only honouring 50% of the gift voucher meaning we have to pay an extra 50% on top for the treatments that have already been fully paid for.I would advise against getting vouchers, they have very short expiry dates and the owner is heartless, there’s no leeway for extenuating circumstances, shes going to take all your money regardless.My elderly mother spent over £80 of her pension on gift cards for her daughter and 10 year old granddaughter, then because her granddaughter fainted and caught chicken pox through no fault of her own the owner refuses to allow the child to use her gift card, as if watching her brother almost die last year hadn't been tough enough for her, the owner is now taking away a child’s Xmas gift from her grandmother. Absolutely disgusting.It’s a real shame as had quite a few treatments for the first few years after they opened and had a great experience, change of ownership from Amy to Emily seems to have made a big difference in the level of customer care so sadly can no longer recommend this salon.Charlotte D.

Amie Bennell: After being let down by another salon, I tried to book in last minute to have LVL lashes which I’ve had time and time again at another salon. I booked in and was asked to come in for a patch test immediately which I did. I was there within an hour of booking the appointment.When I got to the salon, after getting the train down at the cost of £6 I was told that actually it won’t be enough time between the test and the treatment so they can’t do it on the day I need them for. Clearly the therapists all have different views on the timings around a patch test.Fuming…

Darron Welch: Good experience here. Relaxed atmosphere and treatments were very professional . Very warm and cosy in an upstairs room for the first treatment and then taken downstairs to the new manicure and pedicure room. Didn't expect this lovely new room in the basement, I've been coming here for years and this is a very welcome new addition. Jenna carried out my treatments and is a lovely young lady, very nice manner and very knowledgeable of the treatments!

My Waxing was most un-comfortable as well as the wax very hot she continued to go over the same area flicking the wax strip causing the area to become very sore and red and the next day bruised. Not happy and will not be returning again. Shame...
