Ruth Anderson: Have been here before and while my food has usually been OK others in my group have had wrong food and other complaints. We came on 25th for a birthday, I told the server that I am lactose intolerant and she wrote it down and requested no dairy in my meal but when it came I discovered the was cheese on it and had been disguised by extra pasta! I told the waitress who then replaced my meal and gave me a free drink but I still had to pay for my main meal which I then didn't eat much of as I was put off. It wasn't the waitresses fault but think management need to think through there complaint resolving more

Lisa Lee: Favoloso it was!!! A party of 14 of us decided to try this little jewel hidden in the middle of Colchester last Saturday evening and we were not disappointed. Being a large party we had pre-ordered our food which was served up hot, tasty and very well presented. All the waiters/waitresses worked very hard all night and were very polite and helpful. The Chef came out to chat to all her customers to see if we enjoyed the food to which I thought was a lovely touch. It was nice to see a restaurant doing really well. This is a must try!!

Katrina: Wow, this place is absolutely excellent! The service was a little slow, but it seemed some of the staff were new, and it was a busy Saturday night so this can be forgiven. The range of fish specials was great, alongside traditional pizza/pasta, and the lobster & scallops dish I had was better than those I’ve enjoyed in high end restaurants - at a more reasonable cost too! Highly recommended, a hidden gem.

Great service from friendly staff and the food was great. Definitely recommend getting some good wine here too all for a very reasonable price. Em-Elle Kay Gee: I'm very surprised at all the excellent reviews which makes me think perhaps we went on a bad day.My husband booked this restaurant for our anniversary and we were looking forward to trying somewhere different. From the outside, the restaurant looks run down but the inside was much nicer. We were surprised to see that it was virtually empty at 7.30 on a Saturday evening but the staff sat us right next to a large table. As the tables were cramped together, it was difficult to get out to use the bathroom. The waitresses looked bored and didn't smile once in the whole time we were there. The starters were OK, nothing spectacular I ordered the seafood risotto which tastes like rice, tinned tomatoes and seafood. Not very exciting at all. My husband ordered a rare steak which was overcooked. The whole meal, including paying the bill took 45 minutes as there was no time to pause between courses, as soon as our cutlery was down, the next course arrived. The bill came to over £100 which we thought was steep given the good was OK at best and the staff were not particularly attentive. Overall, a disappointing evening and will not be returning again.

Rabia Malik: Finally went here for lunch a couple of days ago and I can’t wait to go back! I’m not from the Middle East but lived in the region for a while, and the baba ganoush and fattoush took me right back to Abu Dhabi in the best way possible. My very non-vegetarian husband (he’s a big meat eater) had more salad than I’ve ever seen him eat before, and the Hindi kebab he ordered were very flavorful as well, and a generous portion. Best of all, everything tasted very fresh. We chatted with the owner quite a bit afterwards; such a lovely and friendly man, which made the whole experience even nicer!

The friendly person who took my order told me I would have to wait 5 minutes for the falafel wrap as they only served them fresh.It was absolutely delicious and filling too.As a vegetarian I am careful where I go to eat. After 10 years of working in wholefood catering I can sense when a place is any good - and this place was good. I'll be back for sure!

Younis Abdulla: Good pasta place. Only reason they loose a rating is they made an error with the order which meant everyone else was done with their food before my dish even arrived. I ordered a vegetarian dish and the dish they gave me had chicken almost took a bite before I noticed there were pieces of chicken. Riordan: Went for an Anniversary lunch with the Mini Rodizio Grill. The buffet selection is always kept topped up. I like the change from ordering the sides to helping yourself to what's available, better portion control. The meat from the grill is always delicious. My partner filled up on sirloin steak despite not being much of a steak person usually.And finally, the Caipirinhas are delicious!

Also they clearly didn’t appreciate the ‘optional’ service charge at 12.5% being declined, despite leaving 5% for the abysmal service yet 3-weeks ago at another restaurant we not only paid the optional service charge but left an extra £20 as the table service was 200% extraordinarily fabulousOptional service charges are optional and will only be paid for good service which it was not in any sense of the imagination and spoilt the restWell done to the young curly haired lad, he was greatVegetarian options: Not enough options for £22 and not clearly labelled
Ruben Dougall: Service was good, food was great, meat was delicious, nice selection of various Brazilian foods at the buffet, different foods that you wouldn’t normally try elsewhere. Only issue is it’s quite pricey (even more so after the 12.5% discretionary service charge) but you do get what you’re paying for in both quantity and quality.
V V: To be honest, the place went downhill and I don't understand why. The floor was oily just by the salad bar which I find quite dangerous. S G (Rock on): We enjoyed our first visit so much we came back again another evening. The food, service, staff and atmosphere were all excellent.I wish we hadn't gone back. Everything was great the first time; the food, but the second time my daughter's meal was served after mine and it was wrong. She had already waited 10 more minutes than myself and had to wait a further 30 minutes for it to be replaced and the replacement was missing the usual dressings, including the coriander and the bowl was almost half empty compared to usual.The expressions on the staff's faces when they brought her the 'correct' meal and another drink looked strained and unfriendly as if they were annoyed that we had needed to draw their attention to the error and felt that we should have just kept our mouths shut about the mistake.Such a pity! Based on our first visit definitely would score 5 out of 5 on everything but unfortunately the second visit was so disappointing! If scoring on the second visit only I would give only one star. It wasn't just the mistake it was the begrudging and tardy way it was rectified.
