Blue Owl: what do users think?
D C: Lovely little cafe and it's so relaxing to sit there and paint whilst drinking tea and eating cake. Staff are always helpful and have a good range of items you can choose to paint. Easy to book and very good value.
Helen Drury: Lovely little business. There is a large selection of pre-made pottery items ready for you to paint. You can order a drink and a cake whilst you spend time creating your own little masterpiece.Once finished you leave it to be fired and glazed and collect at a later date.
kerri reid: Bloody love it at the Blue Owl!I was gifted an owl pot making workshop and had such a lovely time. Everything was explained, an abundance of tips and tricks were given and the pair that run the place are just lovely people!A wonderful place to spend a few hours crafting.I've just finished a baby print session for my 9 month old and the handprints came out amazingly, thank you so much! 🙏 💞
Paula Alexander: Had a really enjoyable time with family painting our pottery.Friendly staff, everything was laid out on the table ready for us to start painting. Really enjoyable experience. Would definitely visit the Blue Owl again. Thank you.
Paul Drew: Absolutely fantastic visit out experience if you'd like a little art in your life. The staff were amazingly friendly (we booked our table and items to paint in advance, and everything was set out for us) and the coffees & juice were fantastic. There's also a lovely range of cakes and snacks to buy and the entire atmosphere is relaxed and bright. The Blue Owl does have a car park with around 12 spaces (that I could see!) So try to car share or public transport if you can!The prices of the pottery pieces to paint may SEEM a little high at first, but remember that this includes firing the finished piece, paints, brushes, dabbers, etc. It takes app 2 weeks from paint to kiln/to you. And we can't wait to pick out pieces up and book in for more. Our toddler aged child enjoyed himself for a good hour making messy paintings, and even used the helpful colour chart to pick out what he wanted. We absolutely hope to go again and again.
Mark Lewis: Lovely beautiful place to chill out enjoy a coffee while panting your ceramic 👍
Samantha Gribbin: Went here for a girly day out and enjoyed it so much! great painting experience as staff were so helpful and welcoming. lots of variety of colours and brush sizes. I’m yet to pick mine up but a great different idea to do as a date or girly day!
Rachel Tarr: Friendly staff that helped us to do baby prints, great local snacks and products on sale too.
Craig: Great place to paint pottery. We made gifts using children’s hand and foot prints. They have a selection of hot / soft drinks and cakes.
Kelly: Such a lovely place to spend the afternoon. Very calming, relaxing vibe and wonderful coffee and cake to boot!
Lexi G: Such a lovely business. Been here twice now and both times I had a wonderful experience. It is a little difficult to get to, but as long as you plan bus/car routes you should be fine. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of fun painting and the pottery came out beautifully. Thank you so much!
Nigel Feakes: A nice way to spend a couple of hours with the kids. Good service , friendly and will organized.
Carla Peagram: Lovely few hours sat with the family painting our chosen items. Lovely friendly setting , very relaxed, clean and very enjoyable. The hot chocolates where very nice!
Paula Ruane: 10/10 to Blue Owl and its increasing success. After visiting it recently, I can't think of a better way to entertain children and yourself for a couple of hours. The staff is super-friendly, they have a brilliant system, and the memories you can create from this short time are irreplaceable. Coffee is delicious too!
Katy Mills: Really cute relaxing date idea definitely will go again

Queen Street Art School: what do users think?
faye sephton: My daughter has loved these art classes for the last 4 years. Her skills and techniques have really developed and she’s enjoy using different media to create some wonderful masterpieces! She has also been awarded a senior school art scholarship - I truly believe that she wouldn’t have had the confidence or skills if she hadn’t been part of the Queen Street Art school. Thank you. 🙏
Hannah Cole: My daughter who is now 11 has been coming to Queen St Art classes since she was 8 and absolutely loves it. Kirsten and Aniela are such dedicated and welcoming teachers, they have really encouraged her development and worked with her to create a portfolio of work over the last year which helped her to get an Art scholarship into senior school.
Michelle Hurd: My daughter has been attending Saturday classes for the last three years, her progress in use of different styles and techniques has been incredible.Kirsten and Aniela are brilliant teachers, creating a very welcoming and encouraging environment. The annual gallery exhibition is a wonderful way for the children so showcase their favourite pieces and share their progress with family and friends. We always look forward to seeing the work produced as there is a different theme every week.I would highly recommend Queen Street Art for the weekly classes and/or the school holiday workshops.
Karen Hull: Henry initially attended a summer holiday session last year in 2022 and loved it so much he now attends every weekend. He loves the lessons, tutors and environment which is provided to inspire and developed their art skills. Each lesson is different and the children are involved with each session, after the tutorial they are supported to develop the skill to replicate the drawing/object in front of them with all the quality art materials provided. Henry has become so much more confident and excelled in his skills thanks to the support of these two amazing artists!Thank you Kirstin and Aniela x
Alex O'Neill: Wonderful classes for kids. My 9-year-old daughter has a passion for art and Kirsten and Aniela bring out and develop her talent! They are patient and cover all sorts of different techniques. She was literally buzzing to go to her Thursday evening classes with them!
Gabrielle Troke: My son started classes with Queen Street after expressing an interest in art. Since he started classes, he has exelled and achieved a scholarship for his high school. Both Aniela and Kirstin are hugely supportive both with general lessons, and when we he had his interview for the scholarship. Above all they make it a very enjoyable experience and allow students to express their flare with passion. I highly recommend these classes to both budding artists and those that just want to have fun.
Ana Roa Marco: Our daughter has been going to art lessons with Aniela and Kirstin for two years now and she loves it! They are both very talented and caring teachers, and know how to provide the perfect environment for children to be creative and enjoy art! We definitely recommend their courses!
